Landmark Lanes

Landmark Lanes

Reviews Summary

Overall, reviews are mixed but lean positive, with many praising the friendly staff, clean facilities, and fun atmosphere for families. Bowling lanes are generally well-maintained, and the bar/service receives compliments. However, significant complaints include rude staff, slow/poor food service, occasional cleanliness issues (e.g., pests), and security concerns (fights, confiscation disputes). Some note overpriced or mediocre food, while others highlight affordability. Weekend crowds and organizational hiccups (e.g., running out of supplies) are occasional downsides. Despite flaws, most agree it’s a solid spot for bowling and group outings, especially with improved management.

Had my sons 6th bday party here and though the food was cold and our drinks made it to the party after all the food was gone...the AFRICAN AMERICAN Mgr that handled my complaint was very respectful and professional and did satisfy my complaint as best he could so because we had FUN AND our situation was handled with care...that's all that matters in the end. 5 stars for that and because I will be back...WE DID INDEED HAVE A BALL OF A TIME...LOL.

I booked a birthday party, put down a deposit, and they had no record of the agreement. It was a terrible place for a birthday party. Part of the agreement was a set $$$ amount to reserve 3 lanes next to each other. They charge me much higher than agreement for lanes, the party goers bowling, shoes, and #of games. At the end of the night, we received a bill for x3 the quoted price with many of the package items not included. I'm not ever going back!! They didn't have cosmic bowling ((blacklight bowling)) wi

Had my sons 6th bday here and though the food was cold and the drinks made it to the party after all of the food was gone, the AFRICAN AMERICAN MGR that handled our complaint was respectful and professional. So...because we had FUN and out complaint was handled with care I gave 5 stars. We did have a BALL of a time and we will be back soon.

Excellent pinball selection!

The place was PACKED but we had some lanes close to the end of the building, making it seem like we had our own little area. The bowling shoes I had actually were comfortable and seemed fairly new. Nothing like the shoes I feel like some other bowling alleys have. We paid about $15 per person to play unlimited and played about 4 games as a group before we got bored / tired of bowling. They have a bowling software that has funny characters making faces depending on what you do on your turn. That was actua

Great old school center. My wife and I love going in Sunday mornings for the special. $11 for 2 hours per person. Staff is always great and friendly. Looking forward to joining a league soon with my new league-friendly work schedule.

Very friendly staff Had a great time with my family. Porter Kenan and Zach were very friendly to my family and provided great customer service I recommend people who are not from the area to check out landmark Lanes and great bar :)

Great place to play pinball, good prices for and drinks

Fun great price excellent service

"Security" took my pocket knife at the door and told me to come back to get it when I left. When I went back to get it I told him what it was and he told me he couldn't find it and told me someone else took it and that I had to wait and come back next week to get money back for it. Absolutely ridiculous. They had a pile of knives sitting in the bushes and no idea who had what.

State tournament was held here. There are 50 lanes. There were 3 sets of restrooms that I saw. One of the women's rooms was completely out of order, a second out of paper towels and the other fine...with a tournament, maintenance could have been better. But overall a nice place.

I tried ordering food for myself and my kids from the concession and the guy refused to serve me, told me I had to order from the bar if I wanted food. They served 6 people after me food before even shutting down. I would not recommend this place

Better kept than some of the alleys around. Unfortunately it did take us a couple hours to get the pizza we ordered but the manager was very attentive and fully comped us for the bowling AND food. I care way more about how mistakes are handled than if they're made in the first place. Will be returning ??

Had a great time with my family, but selecting a bowling ball was tricky for a couple of us. They have a large selection of balls, but they are not in any order. Otherwise it was a great experience.

Place itself is ok. But there was blood in the bathroom and person was told twice. Showed the person third time. Takes the toilet paper and wipes it up with bare hands! Was not going to use anything to disinfect it. Told the lady at the front and she blew it off. The kid didnt even wash his hands. Told her I need some bleach and i would do it myself. She said they would get it with some alcohol. Can we say infection control.

Here for State bowling tournament. Food is good. Bartender was Great!!!!(Early Sun 4/14) Prices are good too. I did like that the adjacent theater was connected inside along with the pro shop. The pro shop for alley if Fantastic!!

I'm in their "Party Time" league and it's pretty fun! Lanes are in good shape, and they use up to date computers and displays for lane scoring that have additional game modes, should you want that. Snack bar fills orders quickly

I chose to only give them three stars. For the fact that last time me and my family were there for my birthday. An argument/fight broke out over to slightly intoxicated males. Before that my family and I had paid for a full game but because of this fight our game was cut short and we left about halfway through. It might sound silly, But I suggest that you get a security guard for incidents like this. And if you have one he's obviously not doing his job properly. Either that or you need to security guards.

Great service. Ran out of pizza. But still a great time!

I recently bowled a tournament at landmark. It was a nice center with plenty to do there. The lane conditions were decent and their bar had a good selection of drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The bowling was really fun. Clean tables & lanes. The bartender was in the bathroom most of the time smoking something illegal. (Not cigarettes or pot) The concession worker was extremely rude. But that may have something to do with everyone asking him where the bartender is?

Staff was very rude in the bowling area. The guy at the front desk said we have to take a lane between two birthday parties or we could leave. Half the bowling ally was open with nobody in it. Lane stopped working 3 or 4 times. Finally started drinking and ended having an Ok time. Will choose somewhere else next time

So nice and clean..cute atmosphere.. people were kind...we had haircuts and food from the bar..I didn't like the chilling.

Had a group of friends come at different times to bowl and once we all were here we needed our game restarted to start together. I asked Amber (front desk assistant) if she could reset it. With attitude and displease she said it wasn't possible. After a second time of asking , a manager came by and did it within seconds. We have our team outings for work here often and will refuse to come here going foward

Fun atmosphere, lanes available

Update- Most bowlers that go there (on a Tuesday night) have no etiquette and have no idea of any bowling rules. If you wanna get wasted drunk, make a mess and ruin bowling shoes, this is the place for you. I don't know how well the lanes are maintained for league bowl and what the atmosphere is on league nights, hopefully it's different than Tuesdays.

Awful experience ordered food it took almost an hour to get then when getting ready to eat a cockroach comes crawling by my food.It probably came from the container food was in

You have just opened the OTB and the machines are already broken and do not work correctly i lost money because of that. This problem has been going on and i reported it to lady cashiers there. Nothing happened. If you dont want to spend money to fix the problems, you loose business. You loose mine. Mathew

Bowling facility has been consistent over the years and that continues. Sports bar and OTB are great as well. Many people; couples, singles and families all gathered to watch Bradley play ISU on the big screen tvs this particular evening.

great food great lanes great staff just so you know if you do plan to go after 9:00 pm you will be sercherd because of the large amounts of fights there other thaan that great place to be

Landmark Bowling is always a great time. It's in a questionable area but management does a nice job keeping the troublemakers out. Clean, nice quality lanes, snack bar, and deals on lanes and games.

Started back bowling regularly, my wife and i love playing here. Fun, knowledgeable, and friendly staff with a great atmosphere with decent pricing. Moonlight bowling is awesome as well!

Lanes were slick and smooth. I did some of my best bowling ever! Prices were just OK. We should have come a little later for the unlimited glow bowling.

The bowling was fine and the food was scares in overpriced. I order some nacho fries and this was my order coming out.

My family and I went out for a family fun day and my children loved it! The food wasn't great and definitely not worth the price but everything else was perfect!!

I'd previously rated this 5 stars because I met my wife here. But then they shut off the juraswic park game (which I was SO excited to play) off 4 minutes early. Shame on you Landmark.

Awesome place the Pro Shop is outstanding. Havent been on the lanes in four years and yet bought a ball and got hooked up real good rolling on their lanes. 208 203 and 210. Not bad for first time in years.

We have taken our kids there a couple times now, and have always had a great time. The staff is helpful and polite.

Had fun with my family. Can be crowded on the weekends. I do recommend eating before you go, unless you want to spend quite a bit on bar pizza lol

I loved how you can put your photo next to your name! Also chat with the other lanes! It's really hot in their but the staff is friendly. Great place!

Thia place is a hole. They take one of your shoes as collateral when you rent bowling shoes. The women get doors on the stalls, men don't. Manager was a real jerk when I complained. Also got a notification that my cell signal is being blocked?!?! Avoid at ALL costs, bowl literally anywhere else.

Lots of Lanes, they keep everything really clean and the house patterns aren't terribly hard. Seems to be some good history at this alley too.

Older facility with awesome staff and fun options for all. Pinball, axe throwing, bowling etc.

The only thing we didn't like was that u can talk between lanes

Priced well, night time neon lights bowling and music. I like the unlimited bowling deal, It's fairly decent :)

My boyfriend and I love coming here to bowl. The music is ALWAYS awesome and we have never had any kind of bad experience here, always a great time!

It was fine until they put a bunch of kid next to us and the kid threw his ball in my lane on my turn and then all of them was standing there when ur trying to take ur turn and go as ur going.

Good atmosphere, the bartender was friendly and very attentive.

Bone-in wings were just okay. Had a good time though.

Great place! Calm and enjoyable atmosphere! Very friendly staff, thank you!

Its best place to come along with your kids and friends to enjoy bowling alley and other indoor games here

We love bowling at Landmark! Customer service is great & the food is super good!

I bowl in 2 leagues there. The people at the counter are friendly and the lanes are decent.

I feel like the people that work in the bar are Racist!! This is not the first time I have experience something like this at Landmark! Very sad!! I want people to know!

Too expensive and no special pricing for kids 3 and under. Paid $38 for 4 people 2 games a piece. 2 of them were a 3 year old and a 1 year old.

Nice job the weekend we were there for State Tournament 4/16 & 4/17/2016! Good hospitality, drinks and food with reasonable prices!!

Loved it!! Great place for adults and kids!

Bowling lanes were good but we were there for a tournament and on the first day they ran out of food and all large cups!! Not prepared at all!!

Could use renovation. The staff was very kind and helpful. Food took forever.

Usually a fun time only downfall in my opinion is the walking, since it is a bigger bowling alley you're not always close to concessions or the bar.

Bowling in Illinois state tournament. Landmark was a great host. Clean, friendly staff, fresh oil on lanes.

Had a wonderful time.. something was wrong with the computer and Lane.. they put us on a other one! I enjoyed myself ??

I love Landmark I have been going there since I was a kid it's a great place to have fun and have birthday parties!

Walked in had open lanes.. lots of teenagers gathered in restroom needs better security checking.

Haven't bowled in years. Had a fantastic time. Great bar also......

My kids love the place when we want to have some fun that's the place

Great place for taking the family for bowling. The kids had a blast.

Very polite and friendly employees great place for family activities

I have a good experience there, when I go. The atmosphere is laid back

Rude, uncoordinated staff. Went for a bday party. Would never suggest scheduling an event at this location for kids.

Best bowling alley in town. And off the chain food. When it's my birthday, this is the go to place

Always have a good time. Great friendly service.

I love it and I had a ball yes I'm coming back to bowl again

Decent bowling alley. The scoring machines are modern and you can taunt other lanes with instant messaging.

Had a great time all the Staff were awesome

Loved the place lots of lanes my son enjoyed his tournament.

The best bowling alley in the city I mean the food is great and the staff is friendly and nice and open til after midnight

Great fun bowling. Tables and chairs were dirty though

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
