This place is freaking incredible! Every single person who works here is incredibly knowledgeable and super happy to help everyone. We come here every Friday and play for a few hours. Could not think of a better way to spend out time. Thanks guys 10/10 would recommend

Amazing customer service. The curly haired girl at the desk was friendly, helpful, and had a great outfit. Which doesn't factor into the review, but I appreciate it. The variety of games was ????

Place is super chill. The computers are very nice and the keyboards and mice are good as well. The chairs are comfy, it's priced reasonably, the PCs have a bunch of things pre installed, and you can get whatever you want. All in all, it's a pretty chill place.

DO NOT PLAN A PARTY HERE. I set an appointment to come play for my husband?s birthday two months prior to his actual birthday. I emailed with the owners back and forth and they assured me that I had the time in place and all of my husband?s favorite games would be there. We showed up the day of (mind you they didn't answer any of my calls the week before) and the staff let me know management had told them I was coming FIVE MINUTES before his party. They double booked and said we could only use the individ

Not a gamer but LOVED this for a great Date! I will definitely go back. The place was clean, well organized, and the staff were amazingly helpful as they helped us learn how to play!

Fun place. Has good games. The monitors refresh rate are 60 hertz so the gaming wasn't too smooth. Ammon is a friendly and somewhat nervous guy that helped set up me and my friends.

We set goals with our boys each month and let them pick a reward if they complete it. Usually it's something like ice cream, but my boys wanted to try out LanKing. Ammon was very helpful and patient in getting us setup and playing. The machines worked great. The place is clean and has a fun atmosphere. The boys had a great time and can't wait to go back. I wouldn't normally think about a gaming cafe for a fun outing, but we loved it and for an hour of gaming and unlimited soda it was cheaper than the tram

I come here often for some game tournaments. The staff has always been organized and friendly. If you are a newcomer I have always seen them be helpful and patient when explaining how things work. Facilities are also top notch and clean.

If I could give 0 stars I would, for one reason only. Ammon the worker there is the absolute WORST employee I have ever encountered in my experience of all gaming places around. He has NO customer service whatsoever and seems like he just doesn't care at all. Always has smart remarks in making you feel less than he is and honestly because of him alone, I will never go back to Lanking and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It can't be that hard to watch over customers playing video games, it is incredi

This place has fallen off pretty heavy, but it's still nice that it's there. I had like 12 hours on my account, then they switched their system and I lost that. Also, a lot of the peripherals just don't work or are starting to show their age. I went there with my partner and we spent like a half hour trying to find two setups next to eachother that had working headphones, keyboards, and mice. I know this likely isn't their fault, and people should respect their equipment more, but it still sucks for everyon

Weekly / monthly smash ultimate tournaments and smash melee tournaments run by the best TO (tournament organizer) this side of the country. Anything outside of tournaments they have a massive amount of setups with fair prices. Always clean and well organized with staff that knows what they're doing. Super stellar lounge with local food a hop and a skip away.

Fantastic staff, aesthetic is really pleasant. Computer setups are super solid, although I haven't tried the VR rigs. The Smash tourneys have been the most fun I've had in a long time, pretty coordinated and super friendly (surprisingly). Unlike the competitor I've gone to (Gamer Planet), they have a bit more concessions and an hour of PC is 4$ as opposed to 7$ if I recall correctly. I'm not sure if that's credited to the quality of the computers or not, as I only played League of Legends (which isn't super

One of the best, and most caring Local Business that is proud to support and grow it's local gaming scene. They accommodate people very well, and care a lot about people leaving knowing they had a good time and enjoyed their experience. I come here every Tuesday to participate in their Smash Tournaments, and always had a great time. 5/5 would recommend to anyone who either wants a place to hang out and socialize with other gamers, or just wants a nice place to play video games alone.

Went for a friend's birthday. It was a blast! I've never done anything like this before, and was worried it would be stinky, musty, "nerdy", but the design of the lounge was great. Everything was clean, the aesthetics were perfect, and the hardware was great. The first hour was free, and when the time we paid for was about to expire at like 11:45 the manager told us he added time so we could play 'til 12:00. Definitely recommend!

Hands down, this is one of the best LAN Arcades I have ever been to. The pricing is super reasonable, the game selection is great, and the facility is clean and inviting. Staff was amazing and the machines ran really well despite it being a busier night. I will definitely be back.

Really friendly staff, helpful when my brother and I wanted to have a duo setup on PUBG and didn't know how. Had one problem with a computer, but it got fixed. Hourly prices are beyond reasonable. Great place, will definitely visit regularly.

A GUARANTEED good time. The proprietors/managers of LAN King are all young guys, very personable and dedicated to creating a great atmosphere in which anybody could feel comfortable letting loose and enjoying some video games with friends. A definite recommended 5 stars for me. I will be returning. They just announced that next year they will start weekly tournaments for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and that's amazing. If you have any interest whatsoever in gaming, look at LAN King for a fun night out.

2 stars may be generous. I hosted a large event here, reserving the 2 party rooms. The equipment was fine for the most part, and most ran smoothly while we were there, but everything else about my experience was incredibly frustrating. I tried reserving the rooms over 2 months in advance but didn't even hear back from them over a month after my initial attempt to contact. It took me physically coming into the building and asking if my email was received before I even knew the day I had requested for was av

I'm not a huge gamer but I love this place! I get to play Virtual reality games with my friends, and play on the cool computers while my boyfriend games with his friends! My favorite is the super smash Bros tournaments! I've met the owner a couple times and he is so awesome! Highly recommend :)

Our experience at LANking was great! Really solid equipment on the PC's, sadly the GameCube controllers for the switch games could definitely use an upgrade and then some! Really good service and Sawyer was very easy to work with and friendly. Quick to requests and gave us plenty of heads up on our times and opportunities to expand our time.

I've been to LAN King a few times now and it's been a great experience each time. Everyone that works there is easy to talk to and happy to help with anyone that's new or isn't too familiar with gaming in general. I've gone with a group and by myself. It's fun either way. People are respectful, etc. If you get hungry, they have pizza and some other snacks and a soda fountain, including free water if you want. They also give you an hour of free play for your first time there, so that's really cool.

I have bought a monthly pass which gives me unlimited time to game. It is well worth it, if you play more than 25 hours a month. Its a reasonable price too!! The maintain their computers often as well. Its a really cool place to chill.

This review will sound like an advertisement but it is sincere. LAN King is very impressive. I went with friends for the first time and the staff were very helpful getting us started. If you are the slightest bit interested you should just walk in and give it a try.

I booked a bachelorette party at LAN King, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. The atmosphere was great, the main employee who worked with us was amazing. This is a business I want to succeed in Provo! I could see visiting LAN King as a solo player, or with a friend could be a great experience. However, there were a lot of issues with our visit. I told them two games that we'd want to play while we were there: Sea of Thieves and Minecraft (java). They did install Sea of Thieves, but I didn't specify the windo

I came in thinking that this was a decent place, but right as I stepped in I was shocked to see how modern this place is. And the most surprising was how affordable it is. High quality place, good for parties, chilling, bachelor parties and more. They serve food, drinks and the service there is unlike any other. I can go on and on about this place, but straight to the point, it is unlike any other game center. You can easily lose track of time! Great place! Wish I could give it a 10 star.

LAN King has become a second home for me, the people working there are friendly and it's an all around comfortable place to hang out. I've participated in some of their tournaments, and I had a ton of fun. If you live in Provo, and you love playing games, come down and start grinding.

Good things: The hardware was excellent. Super fast computers and quality mouse and keyboard. Pricing is decent too; about $4 per person per hour. Problems: They lost our reservation -- we paid for the party pack and reserved a room, but when we showed up they didn't have us scheduled. Fortunately, the place was pretty empty that night so we were still able to get in. The staff had NO understanding of networks -- we had all planned to have a Minecraft LAN party, which requires knowing the IP address of th

I used to love going to this place for VR gaming. Their setup is very nice and the atmosphere is comfy. However, I was charged double because I brought a second person (we took turns) and didn't get any sort of refund. They ran the time for both of us simultaneously for the same rig? Nonsense. My third time in, the right VR controller kept losing connection even with decent battery charge. I kept informing the desk guy over and over that it was broken. When he saw it reconnected and disconnected at random

Frustrating. The actual center for gaming is cool and edgy. This review is for their customer service. Today is the Forth of July they are closed. I had to drive there today to find no sign, only the door shut and locked. I tried calling multiple times during operating hours multiple times multiple days in advance and never had anyone answer. There was never anything posted online or anywhere easily found. I mean come on? how hard is it to post something online or to answer your phone? Edit After the outr

You are getting more than just a PC to game on People don't talk about how nice the entire mood is here. Everything from the LED lights, fire pit, stone walls, music, and more just breathes the exact mood you would want for a fun place to game with friends. The employees have always been great from running tournaments to helping someone new to have a good experience. Wether you need a place to hangout with friends or just a space to grind the competitive ladder, Lan King is THE place for you.

From a year of going there i consistently continue to go back to LAN King. Super friendly attitude always willing to help out! LAN King has become a second home and will Constantly refer people over to them! Love the smash scene down there too!

Lan King is incredibly well put together. The staff are accommodating and their setup is a ton of fun. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes to game or groups looking to have an awesome night.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure how to use the vr ut they helped me get it set up. The set up of the place is awesome ass well everything was new. All the computers could play the latest and greatest on highest settings. The prices are stellar as well. Will definitely be going back

If you are a gamer without a good computer setup this is the place for you. They have hourly rates on state of the art computers. You can go alone and game as you like, or with your friends. If your League team needs a place to get together this would be a great place. I am a student at BYU and I am thinking this would be a good place to take my FHE group. They have some big screen console setups as well which we could use for an unintimidating night of Mario kart, or use their VR setup play some Beat Saber

LAN King is awesome, huge supporters of the local scene and a growing business to pay attention to. Esports isn't going away any time soon, and LAN King is at the forefront of the business with state of the art facilities, tournaments often, and great staff. Also a great place to just chill or take a date.

Tournaments are super fun even if you're not competing, chill environment and as soon as the bracket starts thinking they open up the monitors for casual play, definitely recommend! (I'm talking about the Smash Bros tournaments on Tuesdays)

Nice, clean place that you can play games. Pricing is pretty good. $4 per hour for PCs and consoles. $10 per 30 minutes for VR games. It was not too loud or dark which I liked.

I go there weekly for gaming tournaments. The environment is always clean and the employees are super friendly. Amazing set-ups too

Really great place to Smash it up with your Bros on Tuesday nights every week! I love the people the staff and the activities I envy all who live in Provo cuz I'm all the way in Tooele XD What a drive that was, lol

Really awesome place! The owner is a great guy and wants you to have a good time for a great price. Drinks and snacks available for reasonable prices and it's really a nice, modern place to go and hang out.

Hands down everything I've ever wanted in one place: Beastly gaming machines, LAN parties, every console you could ever want, awesome art, and even snacks and drinks to keep you gaming all night long. I've hosted parties, and my wife even took me there for a VR date and it was a blast. Highly recommend!

DO NOT GO HERE. STAY AWAY. No seriously, this place is so sick I want it all for myself. 10/10 If you do end up going here and I see you, won't be mad. First time there last night and they give you a free hour and free soda whenever you sign up a new account. I've been to gaming cafes in Asia that have been nasty. I was scared this was gonna be another dank greasy dungeon, but it was surprisingly open, clean and felt very comfortable. This place is like the Bellagio of gaming lounges. Gamed some LoL with

Honestly, I was expecting something like an Alfy's arcade, where you can spend an hour driving a motorcycle and find out everything there is to know about the game. Psyche! There are wall-to-wall pcs, just about every gaming console you can imagine, and if you want to play some other game you can log into your steam account, battlenet, etc. I thought my bro that told me about this had to be mistaken. Nope, they're legit. Highly recommended 10/10

Great equipment computers worked great. They treat new customers very well. very friendly employees working the desk. It is a hole in the wall local though and some problems with headset.

great customer service free water and popcorn high tech headphones no lagy computers and alienwear head phones your in this dark room and they close the door so there is no sound. There prices are great only 5 dollars an hr and your first time there an hr free and their unlimited 20 dollar pass for a week with unlimited hours if you love playing video games come and try it for yourself you wont regret it!!!!!!

Great staff and very welcoming set up

Without any regarding to social distancing rules this local held a tournament on 8/19/20 just one day after five more people lost their lives to covid-19 in Utah. The moderators in their chat rooms during the live they hosted were mean to anyone talking about the precautions that should have been taken. People were wearing masks but there was no social distancing and masks unfortunately are not 100% effective. To make matters worst they started to time out people who were talking about the risks and only fu

I went there with a bunch of my friends who have autism and the guy there talked to one of my friends and said ya we normally get groups like this and was super disrespectful I also wanted to play mw 5v5 and they just don't even have 10 accounts for one game and the guy told me that and said it like I was able to know but I also want yesterday and i met a super nice staff named soyer (sorry if I did not spell it right) and he was the coolest person I have met he needs a raise or something but ya the guy who

The best place to come hang out with your friends. We all have gaming pcs at home but this place was amazing, the staff were incredibly friendly and quick to help with issues. They have an amazing atmosphere that is just chill and relaxing. 10/10

Pretty awesome place. Staff is great. Smash tournaments are run quickly and efficiently. I don't have any complaints you guys rock.

Always have quick service, the guys know the games and systems well to help you whenever and however. Super chill guys. The systems are awesome, so graphics, resolution, and frame rate are all fantastic.

Incredible setup with friendly environment. The art on the walls and the design / build out are next level. Awesome place! Would definitely recommend.

Love this place it's super chill, rates are really low, great for hanging out with friends. The computers and accessories are really nice and the consoles are hooked up to big projectors.

Loving the aesthetic, the fair tournament entry prices, the great community and employees, and the homeless people in the bathroom is a very nice touch!

Dope Place! Perfect to play new games that you want to try out before purchasing! Great atmosphere, helpful and fun staff, and super nice computer set ups

I like this place. Every once and a while you get a game that for some reason doesn't want to work, but the staff are awesome and the atmosphere is great.

LAN King feels high quality in experience and value. I highly recommend for any group of friends that is looking for the couch play feel while enjoying high end gaming.

Friendly staff, everything ran smoothly. I had a lot of fun! Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a good time or looking to play games.

Very well organized, the Smash tournaments always run smoothly and have a great atmosphere for both experienced and new players.

Went to Uber there to kill some time, hours on site day it's open. They changed it though so it's different and I basically had to Uber back and waste my money and time

Sickest gaming spot around. They have VR, Xbox, and pretty much every PC game ever. My mom and dad always drop me off here and they guys are super cool! Great prices too!

Lan King was amazing. The staff was helpful, and interesting to talk to. Prices were fair, and the machines were pretty powerful too.

Sweet setup and idea, great price and phenomenal atmosphere. Every gamer needs to check this out. Can't wait to schedule parties here

Nicely set up and great for playing with friends or by yourself. Great especially for group events. Nice staff and overall good place.

A friend hosted another friend?s bachelor party here. The staff were great, prices were very reasonable, and we had a great time.

Sawyer is awesome and we had a great time playing PC/Console games for a Bachelor Party last weekend.

The people working there are friendly and will chat with you. I enjoy meeting new people and it is perfect for social aspects of gaming.

A very fun place to go with friends. Get to play the games you don't have on very nice, fast devices. Not to mention, nice furniture to lounge on.

LAN king is the best place for gamers are friends to come and relax to play video games. They have beverages and VR. And pc's,xbox, nintento. Very fun place

This place is the last bastion of Utah county gamers. Come. Partake. Stay awhile.

Awesome place. Community is fantastic, the set ups are great and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

I personally don't visit much, but the setup is great, the staff are helpful (when you need them), and the games...well, I can't say much. I only play Counter-Strike.

I head over every now and again with some friend just to chill for an hour or so. Great overall setups and exquisite management!

Best smash tournament scene in Utah! Clean venue, food, and lots of great players.

Amazing facility, awesome staff, and a fun community. They are a needed support for our gaming community and a big supporter of High School eSports.

Loved it was not to quiet not to loud had all the games u need and as many people as there is the internet connection is on point??

This place will be the typical run in the ground business shortly enough with horrible service and rude employees If you pay to play for an hour but I only get 30 minutes because they have to set up the computers etc. is a joke also having a controller taken from you so they can give it to a larger party already knowing that you Have people in your party that cannot use a keyboard is completely unprofessional

Cheap pricing, solid computers, really cool atmosphere. Great place to chill with your friends.

A good place to go if you like those trash battle royale games. They also have Smash Ultimate.

Surprisingly good prices. Their UI is a little weird, but the atmosphere was quite nice.

It was amazing. I've been going their lately and I love this place so much.

It was cool! I went just to check it out, and they've got a sweet setup!

Great staff, fun time, state of the art gaming! Definitely worth checking out

Great LAN center. It's a bit hard to find but once on the inside they have some great hardware and awesome atmosphere.

By far the worst lan center I have ever been to. This place should get shut down for constantly breaking fire code for occupancy limits.

Fun place to hang out and play games with friends. Recommended when you're bored or want to play games with a big group.

Quality lounge that caters events. Come play with the Super Smash Brothers community every Teusday at 7:00 PM!

Really fun internet cafe! Accommodates a lot of patrons and the connections speeds are never lacking!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
