I visited 3 times for different tournaments of my son. It's a great place, the food is really good at a good price, compared with other fast food. Excellent service. The bathroom is spotless and smells good. It has a great bar. I can't bring a review because only my son plays, but I consider it good to play.
Recommend the jalape?o poppers and corn nuggets. Corn nuggets are unique to me and they were topped with powdered sugar and a side of honey dip. Tots were ok and quesadilla didn't disappoint but wasn't anything special. Really nice place though and big restaurant for a bowling alley. Didn't get the cheeseburger but it looked amazing on other tables.
Youth Bowling Tournament 2025 ?charged $4 saturday for shoes that should have been included ?charged $8 sunday for shoes again that should have been included The last thirty plus years we have been going to tournaments this is the first time we have been charged. No where in the entry for does it say that it is not included. This has been the standard to be included for 59 years! Considering this is the 60th year. For $115 per kid for it to not be included is ridiculous. ?double booked Sunday for 5pm wh
So this was the worst experience I have ever had at any bowling alley that has hosted youth leagues in the 4yrs we have been attending these for my children. The layout of this bowling alley is not equipped to handle youth tournaments and you are packed like sardines in this place no were to sit or even move. The food service was absolutely awful having only 3 servers on and having to order through them not even being able to order at the front counter and trying to hunt down a server even to order a soda t
What great fun. Huge tournament, and they pulled through. Assistant manager Angela pulled her troops together and took care of hundreds of people today. We are very grateful.
Visited for the Florida Youth State Bowling Tournament. As far as tournaments go, this was a typical experience - crowded, not enough seats, overworked, stressed and occasionally downright rude employees, etc. The entire bowling alley was berated over the microphone by the announcement lady for being too chatty during announcements. This was the first tournament we had to pay separately to use shoes. The young lady at the counter was very rude about it when she said to me "she doesn't have shoes in the c
I loved this Bowling alley. I was Bowling for a tournament here With my team (3 boys & a babe). Food is good. Thanks Lakeside Lanes. - Reagan
Awesome place. I spent 2 days there for a youth tournament. The staff was awesome, the food was awesome and reasonably priced.
We was present for a youth Bowling Tournament and the staff made ot feel like we was bothering them. You couldn't go to the snack bar and get nothing, you had to wait until a waitress finally made it to you. The older lady making the announcement all but screamed over the microphone cause she didn't have every kids undivided attention, not sure how you do that with over 200 kids, but it dang sure didn't work..not very public friendly at all considering the amount of money dropped that weekend.
This place is absolutely amazing. I came here for the tournament and I did pretty good. The lanes are nice and oiled, the staff might look mean but they are sweet, I absolutely love this place.
The waitresses are always very helpful where the big smile on her face, I always look forward to the open face roast beef and gravy dinner . I was at mine with green beans. Always the best!
Family oriented location, good lanes, and friendly staff.
The only issue I had with these lanes, is that you aren't allowed to bring in even water to drink. Yet they don't offer Spring water to buy. They have a water station for free water but it is tap water. I only drink Spring water, as purified and tap water has to many chemicals in it. I would be more then happy to buy water from them if they sold Spring water. I was forced to drink soda, both days while we were at the tournament. That was 4 days ago and I still can't get that sweet taste out of my mouth.
Lanes are ok. Food is terrible. Fries cold I had naco supreme . The beef is a mixture that tastes like canned ground beef and homeless chili sauce. Disgusting. This is the 2nd time ordering the exact same items. Never again. 1st time just as Disgusting. Eat before you come here to bowl
Seemed to be a very nice center with good bowling. Got to watch the PBA regional practice and many comments at how different the sections of the house played. My son things pair to pair will be hard but manageable. Staff: seemed to be prepared for the event and many people working which is better than in Evansville where they were under staffed. Looking forward to trying their food and other items during the event.
Took my grandson to the arcade part of the bowling alley. We had lunch and played games. It was a great atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. The food was good and served quickly. Overall great place for a Monday afternoon.
Might be a great place to bowl on a Friday night, but for a tournament...no. Nowhere near enough space for seating. The place is too tight to hold a major tournament like the Pepsi or the State tournament. Not sure what USBC is thinking
Always have a good time bowling. Grew up here in lake county with only two to go to. This one by far is the biggest. And the people are always cool. Even though I have always got bad luck at biz etc. I was there on a crazy busy day and they serve ya at the tables. We couldn't order even drinks. lol. Anyways. That's over and again we will try. Love the place to hang and be alive. Ps. Videos are wicked old. But always been a cool place. My kids still love going.
Always friendly and clean. The kids really enjoy it. This has been purchased by a new owner. The kids love the Kids Bowl Free program during the summer it keeps them busy. New staff seems nice. Bar area and inside for a little face lift and change.
We came in with 6 people and after spending $100 they told us there would be a $30 fee because we brought a cake and wanted to sing happy birthday. Kinda sad!
For tournaments, this place is not made for them. Narrow crowded aisle way creates a fire hazard. The food ordering system sucks when you have 1 porter for a boatload of people. I really hate coming here for tournaments
Nice facility. Good people that work here. The food is great!
The service is amazing, the food too! However, there isn't a lot of space...especially when there are leagues and tournaments.
The owners are simply amazing. We did the homeschool bowling in the past and loved it. My child then wanted to have a party there so we booked a party there. We had a great time and the hostess was top notch. She checked on us constantly and made sure everything was perfect. Everything went smooth and the kids had a blast. The party was very nice because I didn't have to worry about anything besides bringing the cake. Also the man running the front made sure all the guests got bowling shoes as they came thr
Nice lanes, not crowded, friendly staff, great bar. I wish the arcade had more games. There were two (Punching Bag and Galaga) and the rest were cash grabs for cheap prizes.
The service was pretty good. Everything was clean. Some of the vending machines were broken. Don't take your own water bottle or Yeti. You will be asked to take it to your car.
Lakeside Lanes is THE place to have fun bowling! Reasonable rates, good food and great table service! Alley Gators, Summer Seniors League!
It was my first time here (visited on Friday, September 3rd around 1pm) and I was highly impressed! Excellent, friendly service from the employees and good food ?? The lanes and restrooms were spotless and I just felt right at home. I think I found a new hangout ?? Go check them out!
Great bowling alley but sucks their pro shop isnt opening during tournaments. When people need stuff
The owners and staff are very friendly. I always enjoy my bowling experience. I bowl league Monday afternoons and occasionally bowl the senior fun bowl on Fridays at noon. A chance to win extra money.
Pretty great little bowling alley. It is a bit out of the way, but the people there are very friendly! Definitely a good place to get together with some friends for a good time. They have some pretty unbeatable rates too! $2.50 per game Saturday and Sunday nights. They also have a full snack bar with reasonable prices on the food as well!
Very nice bowling alley
We had an awesome time. Very friendly atmosphere. Very accommodating.
Had a blast! Food is great and it's a clean facility ??
Really a nice place to have a fun night with friends.
Haven't bowled there, but the smell of oil on the lanes is intoxicating. Went there just for the Pro Shop. Picked up a ball, and Chase and David are awesome. Super knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you get the best bowling ball for your needs. A lot has changed since the 90's and they took the time to help me understand all the new tech with the new materials in a bowling ball.
We had a blast on karaoke night, a good time with friends. The wings are delicious too.
Great place to hangout and have fun. Great prices amazing food and drinks love the staff!! Let's not forget about the pink hair girl at the counter she is amazing and goes above and beyond for her customers !! Would recommend to go hangout and have fun here at lakeside lanes any day !!!
Some of the staff members were extremely rude during our visit there for Pepsi Tournament this past weekend. They need to follow their own motto hanging in the bathroom " keep calm and be kind to others". Was not a great experience with the interactions I did have.
We have such a fun time every time we go bowling.
They apparently don't need our money. 0/10
Was there on Saturday, 4/6/2024. This was the wrong venue to hold a large tournament. The staff couldn't handle the pressure. The rundown state of the entire center did not benefit these youth bowlers. The approaches are totally shot. You can see where every right hander has slid for the last however long this place has existed. The pin setters were off and dropping pins constantly. Someone had there ball go missing in the back for an hour! It took the kid asking 3 times then me going to the desk to be met
Super friendly staff. Nice lanes. Fun location.
Despise this place pins are dih lanes are dih just bowled for states and did dih never bowl here competitively
Stopped in for dinner as we were passing through. Selena was an excellent server. She was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and the beer was cold. The facility is clean. People should definitely consider stopping in here for a casual dinner, its not just a bowling alley!
I see like most houses they use less volumes of oil. With all these new bowling ball hooking more it's not a good thing!
Great bowling alley! I've been bowling here regularly for a few months now and this place is consistently clean with friendly staff. Surprisingly, the food is REALLY good too! I've actually stopped in just for lunch a couple times now. Their beer and alcohol is lower priced than any bar around as well. There's no reason not to go to this place and bowl. It is truly what you expect from a well managed and well maintained bowling alley. Best thing about this bowling alley is Dr. Kenny and his enthusiasm on
We have date night every Saturday for unlimited bowling. Service & Food is amazing!!
The kids and I have enjoyed 3 years of the kids bowl free for summer program! Easy to go in and use your coupons. We really enjoy our time when we are ther. Staff is friendly and the food is good for your bowling alley food. I would recommend this place for families who want to go and have a good time and make memories.
I am a very picky eater so when say I enjoy the food is an understatement. Hands down the absolute best burger around. The cook sandra makes amazing food. The specials are absolutely amazing. The soup of the day, the meatloaf, pepper steak, open faced pot roast. Just absolutely delicious. I can't wait to see what she puts out. I definitely will continue to eat here.
I go there for the kids league and it is great good service and other things
The staff is very helpful and Friendly. Ask for "My guy Cam". Food is great and the entire place is very reasonably priced. They Geniuanly want you to have an enjoyable experience??
A little hidden gem. Older building, but up to date lanes. Well run by management and good people run it. Prices are reasonable and food is good. Was there for a tournament and would go there again in the future.
Great bowling alley a little hidden but the gps took us straight to it. We went in the afternoon and there were plenty of lanes but I can see how it could get packed at night. The food was made fresh and came out quickly. We had your typical bar food, cheese sticks and fries, but they we good and hot. The price is right as well.
Amazing Place to Bowl, with incredible management and crew that make You feel like Your Home !!! We'll be there Again !!!
Great for family time!!!
Always a great time, the South seems to be very friendly and very helpful. For being a bowling alley is pretty clean, I haven't had too many issues going there.
Here for the Pepsi youth bowling tournament. Nowhere near enough seating for the number of attendees. Barely enough room to get through to the exit doors. I'm also pretty certain they are exceeding the occupancy limit for this facility. Then add in the rude waiting staff, arbitrary rules on food ordering and their policy on outside food and drink. If the leagues choose this place for the next tournament, we will not be paying to come. Might be a nice place to bowl, but not for any tournaments of this size
Would not recommend using your own ball was on lane 25 accidentally went only the right gutter my ball at the end hit something and came flying out to the other side and when my ball returned I had a massive split in my personal ball went and told the manager on site about my ball she looked at it and said yeah that ball is toast and pretty much told me to pound sand and told her about the gutter she said yeah we know so now my 249 dollar ball is trash because of their lane
Always love this bowling alley, loved their wings. My last visit was disappointing. Went with a little ice-cream cake for my son's girlfriend. Had the cake all the time in view of the employees got our shoes and lanes ( about 10 of us) was not told anything or charged extra. Ordered a platter of wings , fries, and drinks. Employees walking around saw us eating our ice-cream cake and food from them nothing said. My husband went to pay the food bill they added $30. I went and ask, was told because we had th
We sprung a Birthday party on Elmer and the staff at Lakeside Lanes during a busy league night along with existing parties scheduled that night AND THEY STILL MADE IT HAPPEN! I am truly grateful for everyone on staff making the party a successful and great time!! Thank you again!!
Great Staff and atmosphere! Food was fresh and so yummy! Brand new equipment for lanes. Wish there were some newer balls, but Loved spending the day here! Summer pricing program for kids is a serious deal!
This bowling alley, while a bit older, is well-maintained and a great place to play. The staff is friendly, and they even bring drinks to your lane if you'd like. I appreciate that it's a family-owned business, which adds to its charm.
Amazing value in comparison to others. If you like to bowl this is worth the travel to save money and still have great experience
Fun, friendly entertainment Longtime loyal patron of Break Point Alley even before its transition to present owner. New owner/management has made great and much needed improvements and upgrades. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and always on hand for assistance. Prices are reasonable for the benefits received and there's always specials to take advantage of. The Pro shop is open 5 days/week, the restaurant and bar is always in attendance and the food is delicious. The lanes are consistently ke
Very nice and clean!
This was the worst experience I have ever witnessed. Never in my life have me and my family been treated this way. Guaranteed I'm not coming back.
I enjoy taking my family to Break Point Alley. The staff is always so friendly and ready to help. If you have questions about times or need details on their specials don't hesitate to call, they are super nice and patient through the entire call. Thanks for making it easy to get the kids off of their devices for a few hours.
Had my 7 year oldsbirthday party here & let me say. Hidden ??... What else can you ask for to make your baby happy & all her classmates don't RSVP. Staff wonderful. Price wonderful, and expectations EXCEEDED. Thank you All ??????
Great place for the whole family, very friendly staff, and great prices...
My son had his birthday party here. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was clean and they set everything up for us and cleaned everything up when we were done. Everybody had a spectacular time and we will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for making my son's 8th birthday amazing.
Wow, Awesome place to take the family and have some fun!!! Affordable, clean and yummy food. Found this place by chance after looking for a place to take my son for his birthday and I'm glad I did because all the bowling alleys in the area prices are outrageous. We saved a ton of money coming here and we will continue to come to Lakeside. Thanks for the experience Lakeside and see you soon!!!
Owner is not a happy man.
Was a nice bowling center, but definitely not prepared to host city tournaments!! Concourse is way to small, and there's not seating for all of the bowlers, or any family. The service was mediocre at best, took forever to get anything, I went to the bar to get my own drink and was greeted by a unhappy bartender. Not what you want for customer service. Will definitely not be coming back to this establishment.
Had a great time with my kid and his school group. The snack bar and service were awesome. I would really recommend trying if you've never been. Even if you don't want to bowl they have a separate section with a little hangout and full bar available.
Very nice lanes. Well oiled and we visited around 3pm, so already well into the day. Staff very friendly. Just be careful, as the approached tend to be sticky near the line. We had to stop our approaches short to stop from falling. Otherwise a great place to bowl, practice and have a good time
Thoroughly impressed. Came here on a Wednesday. Staff was very friendly. Facility was clean. Food was phenominal. I had a bacon cheeseburger that tasted like it was from a dinner. Delicious. I would highly recommend this bowling alley to anyone
Great place to go to have some fun. Fair prices and friendly atmosphere. Great for date night or family fun. Clean and sanitary. Good bar with wide variety of liquor and beer. Only thing I have to say is its very cold in there so bring a jacket to keep warm.
Took my girlfriend here. For two people two hours of lane time on a Sunday night was $44, including shoes. It was very clean, and was also very family friendly.
People are very friendly the whole family loves it amazing and yummy food
i love this alley. prices are really good and fair & everyone is friendly!! my poor waitress had to retrieve a fake nail that went flying off my thumb and down the lane. i?ve always had a great time here!
Some of the tables are so far back you can't interact with your bowler. I don't like how I was made to move to a further back table bc that was ?my assigned table?. The lady asked to move over one lane so she didn't interfere with our bowling/seating and instead of them trying to accommodate both of us, they came up acting like the police and moved us back to our assigned seating. My daughter couldn't hear me cheering her on and she felt alone up there on her own vs when we were able to sit closer she could
We came with a party of 26 to bowl. The man behind the counter was more interested in catering to the tournament that was starting vs assisting us. We waited 2 hours hanging out playing arcade games, pool and purchasing food and drinks. When we finally requested to pay and bowl the gentleman still had little interest in our business. We paid for food at the bar and were question hours later we were asked to pay for the food again on a ?tab?. All and all we had a fun night with family and friends but this es
Great service and a great time!
Went in on our Groupon purchase and did two hours of bowling with the kids and hubby! They were friendly, the place was clean, and we had a blast. The only downfall was it was a little warm in there, I don't know if the ac wasn't working or what. We ordered curly fries and a pretzel, which were both yummy! We will definitely be back for more fun with the family!
Exterior looks old and dingy. There seems to be an infestation of alley cats on property, as well as the entry not looking so attractive and clean. In addition, once you pass the entrance you'll see the foyer which the lighting is dim and carpeting seems dingy. Now the lanes on the other hand were bright and functional. Employees very curteous. Food ordered was very tasty and delicious. Great music playing. Great atmosphere.
What an awesome HIDDEN bowling alley!! If you didn't have GPS it's hard to find. Hell, it was still hard to find with it!! But the prices were fair and as of 3/4/23 they have BRAND NEW shoes!!! The service was good, the food was good. If I come up this way and feel like bowling. I will return.
We always have a good time here. Price is great. We have lunch while we bowl. Everything is delicious! Staff always friendly and helpful!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
