I had never been to Kings before but decided to plan a visit here to see what it was all about. I called on a Tuesday to make reservations for the very next Friday night at 730pm for two people. That process was seamless and I even got a confirmation text 24 hours before my reservation. I arrived a bit earlier than my friend and was told I had to wait for my party but I would be checked in. That was no issue also so I decided to wait outside in front. After about five minutes my friend arrived and we were a

An Afternoon to Remember at Kings! What began as a casual afternoon getaway quickly turned into an unforgettable experience. I reserved a party of 10, and from the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Mr. Mengel, the manager, and our server Amber went above and beyond to make us feel like VIPs?attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making our day special. The food? Delicious. The drinks? Perfectly made. The service? Absolutely flawless. What made the afternoon even more mea

We came here for my husbands work appreciation monthly social night for families. We loved that we had our own private area. The staff was very friendly. The food was good. The drinks were good. I loved there was also a gaming area for kids if they didn't wanna bowl. The only thing I did not like was when we ordered drinks a tip was put on to my receipt. I didn't see a sign that stated a tip was automatically included. I tip well I am a bartender myself I don't like to be told what to tip. Because I would h

We had a terrible experience at Kings Bowl in North Hills, NC. We came with a large party and had multiple lanes reserved well in advance, expecting a fun and organized outing. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, it was clear that this location was completely unprepared and unprofessional. First and foremost, they did not honor our reservations. Despite showing confirmation, we were left waiting without a clear answer or solution. No apology, no urgency ? just indifference. To make matters worse, t

Keira was the best, she fixed a miscommunication that wasn't even her fault, upgraded our bowling from the main floor to Kings Pin! As a sales manager working in the back office she was also working the floor cleaning and constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything, she was a rock star and made our experience the best possible. Because of her we will be returning! Super clean, super fun, and super friendly staff 10/10 recommend

There is no season on the food. Very over priced. No liquor in the cocktails. Soda pop was carbon water. And they force you to pay 18% gratuity and no wk for it. I liked the place until today. I didn't realize they were getting over on us. Should have gone to the Brazilian steakhouse. I won't be buying anymore food or drinks from this place. Y'all can have it!

My first experience at this bowling alley was great in terms of the delicious food, but the service provided by the waitress was extremely poor. Throughout my dining experience, she seemed absent-minded and did not tend to our needs except on one or two occasions. Despite this, I still found the food and atmosphere to be pleasant, and I particularly enjoyed the music played by the DJ. However, it is worth noting that the manager's behavior was rude and they could benefit from additional customer service tra

Me and my family had a great time at Kings! Loved the vibe, atmosphere, service, food and my ability to be a kid again, even if it was only for a couple of hours. Will definitely be coming back again.

We had amazing service and amazing food. We really enjoyed our experience. My son and I noticed your sign outside was missing the Y, so he fixed it for you.

The Positives: Bowling is fun! There are lots of lanes so we didn't have to wait, and even if we did, there's a bar! The decor is fun. The Tennessee Hot Chicken sandwich and waffle fries were great! I got a free cookie sundae for my birthday. Yay! The Negatives: Don't get the pizza. Just don't. The Cuban was dry and not very good. It was $51 for three of us to bowl for an hour, which was expensive to me. Our food bill was $80. I gave it 4 stars because I did have fun, but next time I won't bother with

I had a reservation Father?s Day for my family but unfortunately the HVAC went out. We didn't get a chance to bowl but I'm really writing this review to thank Kristy M. I had a large party and she was so apologetic and made arrangements so we can come back another time. We stayed and had drinks and hung out a bit while we made secondary plans. Customer Service goes a long way! She even checked in on us our entire stay.

Staff was friendly & the drinks were okay?main reason for the lower review is the pins are attached to strings which caused a lot of errors when bowling. Also, even though we made a reservation it took 45 minutes to be given our lane. That being said, the staff let us play pool for free as we waited which was nice of them. Cool place, just didn't like that the pins were funky with the strings.

Katrina was fantastic! She was attentive, friendly, and patient with our large party. She is a wonderful asset to your team! The food was amazing and we had a blast bowling! We will definitely be back.

What a great experience. The atmosphere was very clean and inviting. We had our 9 year old daughter and they had automatic bumpers which was cool. The pizza was ok at best. The crust was a bit burnt and was surprised the drinks came out in a Styrofoam cup instead of glass which was what I expected from the more upscale bowling alley. The bartender was very sweet though and brought our birthday girl a brownie ice cream dessert. I would most definitely go here again but probably avoid the pizza

Overall the staff, sans one guy, was phenomenal! But there was no signage to state the AC was out. So for my sisters birthday we paid full price to be hot and uncomfortable. Plus why are they letting their staff work in them temperatures?

I have been to kings a lot and never had nothing bad to say but tonight was my 1st time going within the last 2 years I had fun bowling but the drinks and the food was horrible the wings had no flavor all they did was fry the and toss them in seasoning the wings tasted like water. Ordered 3 drinks and didn't feel a buzz at all seem like I paid for juice and I wasn't the only person complaining just a waste of money tonight y'all gots to do better!!!!!!!!

The layout and atmosphere were nice. The wait for a pool table sucked but it wasn't as bad seeing that you can eat and drink while you wait so it made the time go by faster. We didn't bowl or eat just drank beer and played pool, still enjoyed our time . Plus I saw the price said $20 an hour but we played pool for 2 hours and they only charged me $4 so that was appreciated ??

How this place has a 4.1 rating is beyond me. No AC; front desk girl and the bartender who was kind enough to refill my soda were the only good thing about this place. My waiter was drunk and slurring his words; I had my 7 year old kid with me and it was 8pm?odd? Yeah, I'd say so. Microwaved food and no silverware. Oh yeah, NO AC too so on top of having to get yelled at by my waiter that he doesn't want to be recorded while I was FACETIMING my husband was so inappropriate. Weird spot for a seemingly nice ar

We love everything about this establishment! The manager Sarah was exceptional and so was Chez our waiter! It was our second time dealing with both of them and we couldn't ask for a better duo! We get the pepperoni pizza and it's beyond standard every singe time! We will be back every Saturday to just see them!

Went to the one in North Hills. And I ordered 2 double jack and ginger beer and a margarita and the bartender charged me for 4 single shots and definitely didn't serve me 4 single shots, and I paid $63 dollars for them because grat was included, which is cool cause I'm a bartender and if I'm not mistaken that's illegal in NC to serve more than 2 oz at a time, which I definitely was not giving 4 single shots. Very disappointed and will never return. Very sad about it cause the burger was bomb.

I think I did one.. but it was awesome, so I'll do another one... Chef Diego and server Skylar was awesome.. Chef checked on us, and blind lady Skylar was ???? Super friendly and helpful.. ill remind her to wear her darn glasses.. atmosphere was really chill.. love this place

We had reserved lanes 3 weeks prior for a certain amount of people only to be told they couldn't accommodate all of us, we then just wanted to figure out a solution so we could enjoy the birthday party and bowl. We were met with immediate attitudes and disrespect, the person trying to check us in was extremely rude, snapping, arguing, yelling at us, and talking trash about us. This seems to be a recurring problem for your front of house / greeting staff. I'd suggest clean house and adhere to professional tr

The food was great, and it's a pretty cool place to bowl. However, the seating at the lanes is tight if you're aren't using both lanes. It was hard to maneuver around the people in the group beside us. Also, service at check-in for a group with a reservation was abysmal. Please train front of house staff on how to properly engage with your customers. There's definitely a disconnect between the training of front staff and the training of bartender/food service staff.

This place have good food and the atmosphere is great. The reason for the low review is, Since they started taking cards only the last two times I went there I got charged twice on my card each time I visit. Not only that the charges are different. The first time I had to wait almost a week for the money to go back into my account after I went to manager about this situation. I was there 1-25-25. I guess I have to wait another week for my money to go back in my account. For this reason I will not be retu

The air was broken, which we were advised on when we paid. We were told drinks would be free (sodas), which was appreciated. This was only my second time here and I brought my four grandkids. The people that were before us were told they were put right in front of the fan where they could be cool. There was another fan down at the end but we were put in the middle. It was very very hot so I was confused why we were not also put on a lane where it was cooler but I quickly realized it was a race thing. My fam

Food is typical food...lots of fried items a d grease! A/C was out so it was incredibly warm inside. Bowling shoes were "grippy" on the bottom so hard to bowl.

I loved this place ??. I did a surprise birthday party, and the host, BJ, was excellent ????. I will differently go back.

This is a very nice venue, we enjoyed bowling and the music but the food was AWFUL! My teenage daughter, husband and I hardly ate any of it. My husband complained to the manager and she just apologized with no sort of compensation. $116 for sad food and watered down drinks is crazy but you live in you learn. My daughter said the black and blue burger tasted like water. We will return but will have food and drinks elsewhere.

Nice spot for some ?? and ?? ?? ??. It was a little chaotic and we waited a bit for our reservation but it got taken care of and we were on lane 15 which is way in the back, more private space. Food was good to munch on and service was great.

Had to change my star rating from a 5 to a 1....my husband & his cousin went in there tonight for food & drinks. The waitress dropped the menus on the table without saying "hello". It took them awhile to receive the drinks they ordered, BUT she never asked them if they wanted food. She gave them their checks after giving them their drinks. WOW KINGS!! So, they went ahead & paid for their drinks & left to go to another restaurant to finish their "cousin night out" with food & drinks.

We booked for a birthday with 13 people and had a blast! The staff was very prompt despite it being the Christmas holiday season and we were able to get a separate area for us to bowl and hang. The service and food was great, we got two lanes to ourselves, and everyone had a good time! The only criticism I have is that the area we were in is by the arcade and bar, and random people kept walking in and sitting down with us despite us not knowing them.

It's very hard to find parking around this area. Service has always been quick and servers are friendly. The food is ok. To me the food prices are a bit much and doesn't match the quality of the food. I like the bowling here but arcade gaming area could use an upgrade. Not a huge selection of games to choose from. But definitely something to do for any day of the week.

Collin killed with our large group! He took the best care of us with everything! Mariah is also a queen!!! She was so friendly and professional! Great staff & energy!! 10/10 recommend!

Kings Bowl is one of my favorite places to bowl in Nashville,Tn. The North Hills location is a 10/10 hands down! Mariah was very professional and the staff made my colleagues and I feel right at home. The layout is flawless. Thanks again North Hills location, way to represent. Check them out y?all.

Heard about it for years finally had the chance to check it out. My company held our Christmas party here last night! The bowling, arcade & pool table was fun. A nice hangout spot or party venue. The food is delicious especially the chicken sliders. The service was top notch from the front counter to the servers they were all friendly and attentive.

We had such a great time. The place was chaotic because it was a Friday night, but we were seated & enjoying beverages quickly. If you want to plan to meet friends out there, someone should go early to get a table, then you have a waiting list for lanes &/or billiards.

Server took an extremely long time to come to our table. We couldn't order from the bars since we had an ?assigned server?, he was pretty rude to begin with but ended the night a little better. Bowling was fun but all the employees I came in contact with were rude and unhappy. Had higher hopes for this place considering the price you pay.

We had wonderful experience at Kings today. Service was excellent and manager Janson Mendel was super nice and excellent customer service. Thank you for wonderful day.

Great bowling for corporate, friends, and date night. Truly some of the best chicken Wings in all of Raleigh. Customer service is excellent as well.

This place is truly awesome. I took my mom here for her birthday. Even with all of her dietary restrictions, she still got to eat super good food, had fun I the arcade, and had fun bowling. The service was great and kind. The food and drink menu are amazing!!!! The price was actually really fair for the quality and the place!!!!

Everything about this place is awesome especially the front desk staff! Theyre amazing but my only problem is their dumplings?? They used to be crispy and now theyre steamed i guess and it just doesnt taste the same

We came here with some friends for a date night, first time for all of us but we had heard good things so tired it out, we had a reservation and were a bit early but they seated us right away, the table was roomy and comfortable for the 4 of us. Our waiter was Colin, he was awesome!! Very knowledgeable and made some really good recommendations that turned out great. The food was all very very good, only problem i had was that i requested my bang bang calamari with no sauce due to an allergy, it arrived with

Skylar & Executive Chef J. Diego customer service was top notch????????????. Truly enjoyed the food and the drinks and it was all well worth the dime!! Actually all the staff were exceptionally great. Very attentive which is a plus to me and hubby!! This spot is a must do and we will most certainly come back when in town!??

We celebrated my daughter's 30th Birthday with her childhood Bestie. She, I mean "We" all had a ??BLAST! We didn't know this place existed we just went there to pass the time until our dinner reservations were ready next door. We played a few games. I'm so glad we visited and I plan to return. It was really fun and family-oriented. ??

Went with my family of 5 and stayed for 1.5 hours but spent about $225. The drinks are tasty, and the food is okay, but the prices are high. Ordered a sampler platter for $43 and very little food was included. In my opinion the price was not worth what you got and $225 for under 2 hours of fun is not feasible for a family of 5.

There was over $100 worth of wrong charges on our tabs. The manager would not take them off, only move them around, and they put a large auto gratuity on top of it.

I attended college and lived in Raleigh years baxk, and it's been quite a while since I've been back. This place is great. The group was with didn't eat there, but we did have drinks, played pool, and bowled. It was a little pricey but worth it. When back in Raleigh, I would definitely go back.

Cool vibe! Nice customer service, drinks are pretty good but the food?.. the food looks a lot better than it taste? I would return but just for drinks, music, and the vibe!

We had an office party here and it was Great!!!! We bowled ate and drank!! I loved the veggie pizza with no cheese and Impossible Burger. Kyle was an amazing waiter!!!

Had a great time awesome service, great atmosphere food outstanding overall a great night. Can't wait to do it again.

We recently had a member appreciation night for our family-owned gym up at King?s in North Hills and it was a GREAT experience! We had EXCELLENT servers in CJ and Eric who were very attentive to our group of 35+ people keeping the glasses full, the food coming, and the area picked up/clean. The kitchen staff put together some awesome platters for us including fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, cheeseburger sliders, caprese skewers, and more. Our members had a great time and we (as hosts) were able to enjo

Love it. What a beautiful upscale place to dine and have fun at the same time. If you are looking for some good family fun place to go, this is it. Very affordable, beautiful installation. The whole family had such a great time. I really enjoyed my visit there.

Tonight's experience was A-1! I spent celebrating my Birthday here tonight. They had a DJ in the building for a nice Friday night vibe. And our server, Reecy was phenomenal! She cater promptly to all our needs, greeted us with a smile and had a happy demeanor the entire time she serviced our table. She completely made my night presenting me with a Birthday cookie and ice cream to top off my night! Thank you Reecy!

My family and I had an awesome time at Kings Bowl. The food was delicious. If you don't talk to my husband, the record stands that I kicked butt at bowling AND shooting pool. If you do talk to him, I came in second!??????

Was so fun. Me and my daughter and I went bowling. They served us ?? ??. It's a bar inside with food also. Afterward, we went and sat on the patio and listened to live music, which was nice and awesome!!

We went for a work party and the staff was fantastic. They really kept on top of the buffets, clearing tables, etc. Most of us didn't bowl or play arcades. We ate, drank, and chatted. The bartenders were phenomenal.

If you're looking for the ultimate venue to celebrate a special occasion for your teenager, look no further than Kings Bowl-North Hills. I recently booked a catering service event for my son's 16th birthday celebration at this upscale bowling alley, and I couldn't have been more impressed. One of the highlights of Kings Bowl-North Hills is undoubtedly the food. The catering service exceeded my expectations with its delicious offerings. From gourmet pizzas to mouthwatering appetizers, every bite was a deligh

Neat bowling alley by the North Hills shopping area. Bowling was $20/person/hour, which wasn't bad price wise and included shoes.

So I went to Kings bowl for a friend's b day celebration. This is what you call bowl in style. I love it. Let me skip to the food. First off if get Collin as your waiter he is very nice. The wings were banging but them waffle fries.what they do it but I'm in Connecticut and still thinking about them fries. Overall of the place 8/10 Cleanliness 7/10 Service 10/10 Food 8/10

We love coming here for the bowling and Unlimited Arcades on weekdays. The property is beautiful, the music is peppy and the food is great. Checks all the boxes and is a great family place!

"EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE... I was celebrating a birthday of a loved one and booked the private space for the celebration. I was so impressed with the staff that I cannot say enough about the service. There was a minor concern when we arrived, and the manager Mike diligently and professionally handled it. He was gracious and went above and beyond in his level of customer service. We had Kyle Cobb & Collin Rodgers as our servers, and these gentlemen were top-notch. I didn't even know that venues still made th

Such a cool place to hang out, bartenders were on point and food is amazing.

Poor management and employees...been coming the past couple months and trying to give this area a try and the workers alway poorly handled the costumers and give out wrong information and no information to new customers.I came with my friend, who is 18+, and we've always been allowed entry. However, today we were told it's 21+. When I called the manager for clarification, they confirmed that it's actually 18+. I've been coming here with my friend for a while, and I'm frustrated by the lack of consistency. T

I first want to say that I had a blast but there are little things that made me and my family feel uneasy .. Like I said the food was great and the music I could not complain. But our server was very passive-aggressive, she seemed very annoyed she had to serve us. At one point I went to use the restroom and saw she pointed at another worker the next thing I knew the lady stayed in the bathroom watching me til I was finished. I thought this was rather bizarre because we never gave off the impression that we

Food was great. We had the pizza and something else it was DELICIOUS. we did arrive late probably a hour before closing while we was waiting on a friend. Plenty of games bowling arcade etc. You could tell the staff was ready to go down to the manager. I think conversations between staff, managers and their guest should be in a different area other than my ear.

We love kings bowling, ranch w the fried and Thomas!

This was an outing for my brother's birthday. Had a really nice meal prior to bowling. The bartender was super friendly, offering suggestions as we waited for our food. The food was a great choice (chicken wrap and tomato bisque soup). We played several different games. The atmosphere was superb.

Great experience. The lanes are fun for just some playing around bowling. Food and drink service was fast and tasted very good.

We had a wonderful event at Kings! Hosted our son's 6th birthday party. The kids enjoyed bowling plus being able to use their game cards in the arcade. The staff especially made the event flawless and stress-free. Colin and his event team were proactive and professional?always make sure we had anything we needed. We really appreciate the level of attentiveness we received!

We had an incredible time at Kings with our Soccer Team. From the front desk staff and the tow Managers that were paying attention when we were waiting for the team to set up our party of 25 people. when we got to our two lanes and dining area - Joey our main waiter and Sara the Manager were on top of everything, even when a food runner mixed up an order SARA jumped right in to make it right. Joey was a PRO! we did not have to ask for refills, Jory was always there and Sara had his back. TO BE CLEAR - we wi

Good food, nice lanes, and great service. Enjoyed it very much. Parking is a bit of a hassle but worth the walk.

Had a really good time bowling. I was surprised at how good the food came out! The Nashville chicken sandwich was amazing. The Black and Blue burger was average though. Will definitely be back

We all had a blast. It was the first time for some of my teammates and myself. The food is GREAT! Surprisingly Great! The drinks too

Absolutely the best bowling experience in the Raleigh area. I love this place!

I did not think to take any pictures because I was too busy having fun. We had attended an event here and it was complete with a DJ, 3 private bowling lanes, video games galore with unlimited play and the food was quite good. At one point while most of the guests were tired and not dancing much the staff got involved and brought many of us back on the dance floor ?? thank you to those who did that, sorry we did not get names. Everyone was quite friendly and helpful, especially the bartender! Thanks again! W

Great place, nice food and atmosphere. The prices are reasonable, and there is a lot to do in there. (8pool, arcade, bowling) I would say it could be a bit cleaner in general but its a great place to have fun.

Went to kings this past weekend and it was our first time there, our server Joey was very knowledgeable and gave some great suggestions! Had a great time with him and definitely will be coming back! The food was great and the kids enjoyed the games

We were here for a special event and it was wonderful!! The bowling, video games, and pool table were all great and we were in our own reserved area. Everyone was very nice, but I did knock service down because all of the games are service but a third party. I understand this, but we had several people who wanted to play air hockey and we were unable because no one on site could fix the game when the puck got stuck. It was also a bummer for our daughters because there was nothing we could do with the "ticke

Unfortunately I will not be coming back here. I was recommended this by my Sister who absolutely love this place, so I thought I would too. Unfortunately one of the staff or whatever she was, was absolutely rude. We got a text letting us know our lane was open however she decided for some reason we shouldn't have gotten the text so early, even though we had a reservation. So she felt another family (with the exact same number in their party) who had not had a reservation but because they were there first by

I wouldn't say that it's a family atmosphere. There were a few unruly people there. Possibly too much alcohol. Servers were good though. Food was basic bar food

Great service!!! Nice drink menu. Chill vibes. Awesome place for a group meet up.

I rated 1 star for everything because I didn't even get to enjoy anything. I reserved a lane for 2 people On October 22nd for the 9th of November. So almost 2 weeks ago. I go get checked in at 7:15 but when told the lady my name, she was like ?i am so sorry but we had a over booking this morning and i can try and squeeze you in , in about an hour?. My thing is how do over book and how am i not prioritized if i did my reservation like i said almost 2 weeks ago. So i left and i wont be back.

Food is average bar type bowling pins are held by a single string lanes are ok for the average person

Great place to spend time with friends, Varied menu.

Kings was so helpful when planning our team outing for work last week. Everyone had a blast and the food was amazing!

Jena, Q, Steven and crew were amazing and so helpful! Great location. We hosted a big party for business / team building. Q even joined in karaoke :)

We made reservations for 4pm and we had to wait till 5:30pm for our lanes to be available. I had to change our dinner reservations because we waited so long to bowl. I won't recommend this place if you have reservations else where. Also, the staff at the front desk didn't seem to know what was going on. In addition, several of the lanes took away our strikes because when the pins cleared, it added a pin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs.
