Edit: I dropped by again recently and honestly I'm pretty disappointed. The prices really aren't competitive, which I can understand when you need to worry about rent and bills. But prices can vary from $35 for Lego Island for the PS2 to $70 for Sonic Shuffle or $160 for a Gamecube. Now it's clear the store has been making big upgrades recently. Unfortunately it's not things like disk resurfacers, new display cases so they don't have to stack expensive games on top of each other, or bulk buying replacement

Really wanted to come by and show support but prices on some games are just a little wonky. I am willing to pay a premium to support a local business but that only goes so far, if you are asking the double the cost of a bnib copy for a used game it is hard for me to accept that. Cool inventory though and hope to stop by next time im in Philly.

Great spot for any retro game fans! Anytime I'm in the area I stop by to pick up a game for my Super Nintendo, Wii, or my DS. Staff is very friendly and it's very easy to spend a long time in there exploring or just talking about games! Very wide selection in general, highly recommend to any gamers who find themselves in south Philly

Very fair prices. I don't know what people expect from a brick and mortar in the middle of a major US city, but prices comparable to ebay is VERY reasonable. Especially when you can inspect the product and they have very easy returns. Also in a nice new space with decent selection and organization, so you can ignore a lot of earlier reviews. Very friendly staff was super helpful and games were fairly priced. I'd say they were around they tracked with the average ebay price. Biggest difference is you can actually test out the game there and make sure it is working before you buy it.

Oscar is friendly and helpful and willing to make a fair deal. The stock of quality games and hardware is decent. The sounds coming from the arcade machine being played in the back while I browsed through the old N64 and GBA cartridges gave the whole place a vibe reminiscent of the old days when I would just hang out in the local video game store.

I really do like this store, just wish they had more Dreamcast and n64 games. I also understand that its prolly hard to get em so I can't complain too much.

Pretty neat. Store is a little on the small side, but you'll find loads of older types of games here, PS1, GameCube, Atari, etc. but they also got a couple of the newer console games too. I recommend you give em a look!

Friendly service but very lackluster collection

This store is one of the only places I can find PS2 games and more retro games in perfect condition. I found Legacy Of Kain: Defiance (the best one in the series), Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Shadow of the Colossus, and even the super rare Dark Cloud 2. Possibly one of the most difficult game store I have been to. Firstly the owner never seems to be there in fact I had to visit the store recently and have not seen him. Decent selection of games, but prices are definitely on the high side ($30 for Shaq Fu on the Genesis? Really?). The owner is a VERY nice guy, though. He will talk to you about games for as long as you want to. He is willing to negotiate a bit on prices.

I texted the owner a giant list of PS2 games, and he said he only had one. So I go to the store to pick it up, and I see another game I want. Pawn shop in the front, video games in the middle, and movies in the back. Weird place. Very cluttered and kinda musty inside. There's one glass case filled with rare games but i thought they were mostly overpriced. As usual with a used video game store, there were lots and lots of sport titles.

Such a big disappointment. The game has all the titles you want but prices out way too much. The owner uses a website to check prices but refuses to say which website he uses and just doesn't give off any positive vibes at all. I will be taking my business elsewhere, for sure. Don't know what these other reviews are talking about. The prices are higher than gamestop's and thats if you can even find anything in the mess they call a store. The staff dont speak instead they just stare at you the entire time you're in the store and make you make feel uncomfortable.

Some of the worst prices I've ever seen on vintage games. Referencing Shaq Fu like the earlier review - it's under $12 CIB on eBay. Atari games that are $2 on eBay are $10+ at this place. Such a joke. Buy on eBay and save a ton of money.

Avoid at all costs. I purchased a 3DSXL, a 3DS, Pokemon Snap for the N64 and N64 av cables for $300. $130 for a used 3DSXL in okay condition which I was unaware of sells for $100 anywhere else. great store for retro and new video games. there is a little bit of everything for everyone. they have from atari, nintendo, super nintento, n64, gamecube, wii and wiiu. sega, dreamcast and many more. also ps1, ps2, ps3 and ps4. xbox, xbox360, and xbox one. the prices are very reasonable and got a great deal on a super nintendo with games. and picked up a ps4 and games for my son. will be back for shure.

Very cluttered, kind of all over the place. And their prices were WAY too high for old systems like the wii and GameCube. They were selling them for the same price the games were when they first came out... kind of dumb.

Slightly overpriced but this is a physical location so it's odd that anyone thinks it should be any otherway, fun lil collection of older and newer games, always worth popping in for one or two things and to check out the very fun music video DVD collection that is a bit challenging to browse.

They really have all these games ! from retro classic to the most recent games, for all consoles, they have snes 64, nes, games cube, ps, ps3, ps4, they have all xbox, and he also has other electronic stuff, movies he also has, i highly recommend to come check it out ! the staff is very friendly and kind.

Can't get anyone to tell you store hours. Online hours aren't accurate. They close hours before the time it has online. Can't get anyone to answer the phone. Might be a Great store, but unfortunately I won't find out for sure.
