Had a great time at a friend's birthday party. Rented out 4 lanes and had a blast. We did the cosmic bowling. Had a couple beverages and some chicken tenders.

It's perfect for a family outing. The food is great. Although I wish they had more ball ramps for kiddos.

I bought the bucket of beers. I was blown away...absolutely stunned...to find that the cans were pounders. Santa himself lacks the know-how to select for me a more joyous holiday gift.

Great place to go bowling with your friends, staff are very friendly, lanes are well maintained and the food pretty decent, overall a great place to go bowling

Our company recently had an event here and it was a great time! The food was good, the place was clean, and the drinks were well made.

I've been here before OK it's good, but it was a lot of people

Everything is outdated, too crowded? Can't even bring water in without having to throw it out. For the price they charge such a joke

King pin Lanes is another wonderful Rome staple. Great locally owned business who are focused on the fun and enjoyment. There is a bar for the older folks and bowling with a game center in progress for the younger crowd.

Terrible service ! Rude employees! Food was nasty! Played music that swore!

...still a great time, good music selection as well!

So I take my 2 kids and myself down to bowl and have some fun. They have a grad party great for their business. The thing that is garbage I can't even order a couple of sodas from the bar for my kids. I had to use a vending machine. so no food or anything dumbest thing I ever heard

Had a great time and the staff is wonderful.

Definitely a fun thing to do when it's cold out! Friendly and professional staff.

Went for a Birthday Party. The NEW arcade section is a wonderful addition. Its clean new and up to dated. Would defin choose to stop in and spend some time. The bowling alley itself needs a few updates but still a solid lane to bowl on

Cosmic bowling was fun. $20 per person. 10-1am

Wanted to try out the bowling and new arcade The kids had a blast, be prepared to spend some money though. $20 for a large cheese or pepperoni pizza The token value for the amount the games required were a bit steep. Roughly $40 bucks a kid let's him walk away with some plastic toys and candy ??????? All that matters is the kids had a great time

Nice staff / Well maintained / Adorable Very clean place..... We had a great time...

What must have once been a nice alley has fallen into a state of mediocrity at best. The displays are hard to read, the vending area barely functioning, and the overall feeling that the entire place is past its prime. There were positives: The workers were great, the bar food was good (the fryer oil was fresh and made everything taste better), and the restrooms updated and clean.

It was.. okay. Smelled a bit weird, and seems kind of dirty. But i had fun.

Went bowling with son and friend had a wonderful time and experience and the food was excellent as well I also bought a new ball from them as well and loving it looking to go back again to have some more fun

King Pin Lanes is much different than when I was younger. Today they were the host of the Regional Special Olympics games. There were spectators and athletes and everyone had a good time.

Seem like the price was a little high same for the food vending machines are a little overpriced $3 for soda $5 for like what they consider a large fry that looks like a regular fry. And for three people one game it was 25 bucks seem like it was a little high two adults one kid. But it was a fun time great family time try it out

The staff was great. Bowling lanes are really nice. Fun night out. Now let's talk about the ladies room...It is absolutely beautiful. I know you may be thinking- A bowling alley bathroom?? Yes! It was gorgeous and spotless! Automatic flushers and sinks. Gleaming tile floor. Super clean!! Great design/decor and spacious with a huge handicap accessible stall and 2 other large stalls. It just might be the nicest bathroom in Rome NY. Every woman at our event came out with looks of amazement on their faces. The

Went to.cosmic bowling.for 50th bday ..had a great time!!!. The new arcade us AMAZING!!

I called this place to ask if I could reserve a couple lanes and asked if I could bring in a birthday cake for my kids. I was told you could NOT reserve and that it was first come first serve. So I make plans to be there at opening with my kids and their friends. Being the only car in the parking lot at 11, I go in and I'm told no lanes are available until 5 pm because they were all reserved! After I was just told a few days prior it was first come first serve! I told them what I was told on the phone and t

I don't know the bar tenders name but she was so sweet. I was bowling with a large group of people and we decided to order some pizza. Having OCD I was having a lot of anxiety about 7 other people picking at the pizza I was about to eat. I asked the lady before she brought it out could she please set a few slices to the side for me on a separate plate and she gladly accommodated.

Had my son's birthday party here today everything went great the food was delicious the staff was awesome and the kids had a great time today thanks again.

Fun experience with the family. But they definitely need someone who knows how to make pizza there. Very little sauce, cheese and the wasn't cut properly - more like it was a scorn.

We love this place. Pre covid 19 it ran pretty smoothly. I understand there are going to be bumps along the way with doing things a new way. Please please please hire a bartender and cook. Please. I'm positive it will be worth it. We will be back.

The brand new arcade is a HUGE PLUS. I had so much fun as did my son. We had a blast bowling and playing games. Going to go again real soon. Hell even the wife had a great time

Very impressive upgrades were recently completed ! Place looks great ! Kids had so much fun in the arcade ! Good food menu!

The staff King pin were disrespectful and rude. The foods and drinks are extremely over price. My friends and I split the cost had to bowl and have snacks. We got food the was cold and stail when I got it, also so dry I almost chocked on it. I will never boil the again neither would I ever recommend any go there.

I took the grandkids bowling. I didn't realize how expensive bowling had gotten ????? They had a good time. The updates on the facility are really nice.

Terrible customer service: We had a group of about 10 that called ahead. We were told that we couldn't reserve a lane, but would be fine to walk-in to an get open one. Not only did we not get a lane, but several lanes were left empty and unused for an hour. The staff were unapologetic...didn't know why they said we could get a lane. My impression was that they forgot to actually prep the lanes or were too lazy to do so. We won't be going there again. I recommend finding a different place that is reliable.

It's pretty good. I grew up here so I cant really give it low stars. It's really lit. YOU CAN EVEN PICK YOUR OWN SONG TO PUT ON AND THEY PUT THE VIDEO ON! OMG!

Great experience, we had fun bowling, service was pretty good and so was the food! It's a nice bowling place to go to.

Bought my ball and all accessories from John knight in the shop excellent customer service took the time to make sure everything was setup correctly I didn't feel rushed or pressured into buying some outrageously priced setup he took the time to listen and provide feedback I would 1000% recommend anyone looking to get there own bowling ball or equipment to go see John knight at king pin lanes

That was a fun different family activity. Pizza was good, surprise! They have some great package deals. It's affordable, check it out. ??

Amazing time great prices one complaint tho 2 parents left there 3 kids unsupervised the whole time so they could go play and drink so kept almost running into kids

We wnt for the NYE special. Great time & a great value. We will definitely be back!

We booked a party not every one bowled but still was charged per person. The sheet that you fill out ask for how many children then times that by $15. Something package was supposed to come with pizza soda and a gift to the birthday person never received said gift. The food and drinks were not finished until we were done with the hour bowling that is advertised as 90 minutes. So $200 something dollars later let's just say not impressed!!!

We had amazing service, there was only one person running everything, food, drinks, and checking us in! They're under a remodel, so it was a bit dusty, but otherwise very clean, and kept up.

Nice place that has an awesome arcade experience. Fun for the whole family

Machines are great, no trouble calls, lanes consistent, a lot of bowlers want 5 lanes to themselves when they bowl, causing extra 30 to 45 min to bowl 3 games in league play. I was told to give bowlers two lanes on each side instead of normal 1 lane on each side, or don't come back. Don't worry Kevin, I won't. It's no wonder bowling is down at this house.

We are still kind of new to Rome and wanted something fun to do... worst decisions ever bowling here food was TERRIBLE got pizza that was half burnt there king pin munchy basket wich could barley feed one person and loaded fries that weren't cooked... went to the bar for a drink wich was over priced and literally the bartender didn't even pour half a shot into my cup so basically I payed 6.00 for a Pepsi..the bathrooms were so disgusting and smelled awful..... bartenders had no idea wth they were doing....

They say they close at 11 but bowling stops at 10 so they can take hour to close. Horrible bar service. Buckets of beer limited to one per person. Even if you have a group of 8 and have several people come to bar they give you a hard time. They cannot figure out how to let one person pay for multiple drinks. Incompetent people. Enforce masking for the non league guests and let the leaguers do what they want. Poor management.

This was the easiest birthday party I've ever done. They took care of everything. It was excellent, and very reasonably priced. Very stress free day!

Love it here the lady's r so nice and they really that care for u like u family good place to take the kids and have fun

When I went there with my sisters friends I got one of the alligator ramps because I am not good at bowling and we didn't put bumpers. After using it the manager walked up behind me and took the alligator ramp and walked it to the storing area. She did not give any reason why but just took it. And also we were not fooling around with it we were using it for it's intended reason.????

The new arcade is great as a birthday event. The garlic pizza is amazing.

The alcohol selection in the bar is greatly lacking. but the staff is extremely wonderful. I was disappointed that the games weren't running due to construction on the building. All in all- I'll go back

Excellent service, very clean, lots of new games in the arcade.

Old bowling place kept pretty much as is from the 1970s...no much updates. Place still has an old carpet floor. It smelled bad in the bathrooms when I went. I guess its ok if you just focus on the bowling aspect....

Very nice bowling alley, lanes are smooth and i've also won the NY state pepsi cola tournament here as well, not why im rating it 5 stars though haha. They have a nice pro shop and arcade area as well. In addition, they have quality food in the food area as well as a pool table!

Arcade is a great touch . Super clean and nice.Brought me back to when I was a kid .

Cosmic bowling is awesome! Not a great deal to go during the week but cosmic is worth it. Food was meh but what do you expect really. Anyway, overall a great place!

I highly do not recommend hosting a party here for a child you get an hour of bowl for almost 300 for a party complete rip off

Great place for post tgiving family bowling.

the employees are amazing! but the arcade was not accessible due to contractors working on the building and the bar was ridiculously understocked

Place is a step up from what it was before. They have a lot of lanes and usually it isn't to busy. The weekends are usually the busiest times.

I purchased the kids bowl free package for my grands. Clean, friendly staff. Someone always available to help.

It was very busy and the food was a little frozen still but a good place to bowl but 18 dollars for an all night game just seems much

Was great experience great service bathrooms ,need up dating more seating near bowling areas, but overall good time More craft beer!!Selection!!

Went on a Thursday night for the pizza bowl special 39.99 bowling for up to six people with pizza and a pitcher of soda. We had a great time.

I love bowling and King Pin Lanes is my favorite place to bowl!! Its a nice and friendly place and I'm always excited to go! Staff is very friendly and they have equipment to help kids out!

11/7/18 .After some kind words from the staff and management it is come to my attention that there was a miscommunication and all issues have been resolved thank you again King Pin Lanes you guys are really great I would gladly come again.

Pricey but fun. You might have to wait awhile for game counter service. Definitely need more staff.

Awful business. They clearly don't care about having customers as the employees are extremely rude. Don't come here unless you want to have your bowling experience ruined.

Complete dump, very rude. and be careful in there parking lot if you like your car and don't want to bend rims..

Pretty standard bowling ally. The arcade had no classic video games or pinball.

Sons ball drilled there by John... He did a fantastic job. Gave son a free game even to check out the ball.. Awesome...

It's a great outing with your friends , the service is great and the food and games are the main attraction!

Great place to go and have some fun!

Lovely alley, great specials and fantastic for a group event or karaoke while buzzed.

Only stopped in for a drink. Friendly staff and decent prices.

Fun place if you're looking for a place to go bowling with friends. The lanes have a scoring issue, and the food kinda sucks. It's alright.

Love going there with my family. Always friendly and clean

Bowling was amazing, lanes were nice, music was awesome, overall experience was pretty good, the food wasn't the best but it was really good.

Very clean center and up to date with great staff!!! Family oriented and professional service!!

Had a birthday party here it was very expensive and took forever to get the food and drinks and we couldn't even finish a game so I would just go play some games instead of doing an actual party

Love the remodel and arcade and of course the bar lol.

Very clean, professional environment. Very family friendly. I love this place.

Awsome place to bowl and take your kids karaoke Thursday s and they will have special events sometimes

Very friendly and helpful staff, and great place to take the kids for fun!

It was so much fun the kids loved it and I enjoyed watching them play

Nice lanes, decent bar food. Be careful pulling into the driveway, it's a little beat down

We went with the kids from church and they had a great time. To bad we did not get a discount

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
