Good place for bringing kids for entertainment. The biggest attraction is the go karting track. They have a full fledged set up. Plus, game consoles, eatry, bar, party hall and restrooms. One downside was it's very cold inside.
Communication was poor. We attended a birthday party with eight 13-yr Olds and waited 45 minutes for the first race. We didn't know there was even a 2nd race and scrambled to get them all together again. Also, we weren't told the racing order for the first race didn't count. This was a huge disappointment to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers. Some go carts were really slow as well. It is a pricey place for short rides.
K1 Speed has a great race track with plenty of room to maneuver while driving. This was my 11 years old daughter?s first time racing and she loved it. She had a great time racing with her friends and would definitely come again. The cars are also spacious and easy to drive, which makes it great for kids. Overall, this is a pretty great racing arena and we enjoyed riding around.
My son is 5yrs old and we are thankful for the incredible experience he had to have the track on his own and to watch him become more and more confident as he progressed through his laps. K1 Speed just inspired a new racer for life.
Crazy fast zooming by at top notch speeds. Blowing the competition away as the racers race one another for victorious winnings. Well maintained track, cars and equipment. Will definitely brings others to come race for the thrill and excitement of boasting who can handle the curves and speed thru the poles for top position to trash talk to others.
The facility itself is great, clean and modern and kids had a lot of fun. Carts are electric and fast.. course is fun. Arcada is good.. not crowded. the only reason I took off a star is because the front desk lady was super curt and almost rude. there were two ladies there and one lady who initially asked me if I had registered was nice and welcoming, but the other lady who processed my registration and gave me the cards etc was all about one word questions, no smile and didnt seem to care.
Had a great time with my husband and his coworkers. Definitely recommend to had a exciting, race time??with familia or friends??. Who's the fastest? ??
Cart started dying mid way through race. Everyone was passing but employees did not do anything about this until I went to the front desk after the race. I waited an hour and half which isn't too bad but the point of waiting was to go FAST in the go carts. It was so disappointing seeing everyone pass me. Another thing to add is it's pretty unhygienic, they do not clean the helmets after use and pass them on to the next people waiting.
Santa Clara - I went here with a group of 14 drivers, all of whom had a great time on the track. There were a few complaints of karts not operating like they should, but nothing that really took away from the overall experience. *Side note - our party was split into two groups of 7 drivers which we weren't expecting. Where I did run into some issues were with booking and checkout: Initially, my online group booking inquiry (as far as I can tell, there is no way to simply book and pay online - it has to go
Really fun and staff if really friendly, loved that we had the track to ourselves (2) for the first race... It's kind of crowded the 2 time we did with a group +6
Our family really enjoyed it for our first time racing. Highly recommend!!
Fast and zippy adult karts - no brakes needed for a fast lap (23 seconds is probably the best time to aim for more experienced drivers). I'd recommend anyone looking to get a good lap in to look for races with less traffic or go on a less busy time however. Also, I would recommend that you grab a padded seat before you enter your kart (they should be on stacks at the start of each row of karts) for added comfort.
This review and rating applies to non competitive occasional children racing and refers to the actual entertainment value of paying for a membership. With that said I want to make it clear that the racing track itself is fun and safe, and I would highly recommend hosting birthday parties here. Now, birthday parties and scheduling logistics is where things go wrong with this establishment in relation to the value of its membership. They do not allow you to book a race online or on the phone (children and a
I'm an 84-year old Great Grandmother and your staff was so helpful and courteous! My main problem was that I couldn't get out of the Kart after my ride! However, with my son on the left and one of your employees on the right, they managed to get me out of the cart!
Customer service is ridiculous. I called ahead and confirmed that my party of 7 can just walk-in and there is no way time on a weekday. So I took my team there only to be told that we have to wait for 4 hours. The lady at front desk even said the number on google maps is that of corporate and they have no idea wait time at their location. I am never going back here again.
Agree that communications can be much improved. We have a large party of 20+. Completely lost upon arrival. Reception wasn't aware of our food order (preordered one week in advance), couldn't explain the activities (registration, splitting into groups, award ceremony, all had to figure out by ourselves), no setup or guidance to the longe space etc. Racing was fun. Safety rules were clear and the staff went all the way to gather our participants for announcements. The activity itself is exciting. By the en
It was fun but they definitely don't care when grown men are purposely slamming into kids/women/new racers. It felt more like bumper cars. I tried to mention it to two different workers and all they said was ?we will make a note of it? and then continued to let him race and slam into people. He wasn't flagged once. Another woman complained about her and her son being slammed around by him too and said they told her the same thing.
I had my daughter's 13th birthday party there. The girls had a great time! For safety, they kept the speed lower due to their age since they were in the adult karts. I appreciated this!
I was excited to try this go-kart track, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The prices are way too high for what you get?definitely not worth the cost. On top of that, the staff was unprofessional and seemed uninterested in helping customers. Instead of making the experience fun and enjoyable, they were rude and inattentive. Save your money and look for a better go-kart place where they actually value their customers.
Since we had to wait for hours before and could not get in, this time we came at the opening time. However, we waited for about 2 hours. The waiting time was really long and tiring. Another situation is that our children were taken with the adults... The adults were very nervous because they were driving too fast and they did not have fun at all. I do not plan to go again. You definitely need to buy a season pass, single tickets are not allowed. Also, after waiting for so long, we and the children were h
Fun experience but customer service needs to improve. A lot of employees with bad attitude. It was my first time in this place so I had questions but hard to get answers I hope it improves soon.
Front desk people took a while to get checked in. The process was pretty simple, and the go-karts are easy to drive. However, this place is clearly meant for kids. The go-karts are super short, and your legs will likely be curled up. Also, the go-karts are not all the same speed, I got a slower gokart than my friends, and the person controlling the speed can slow them down, and often times mine would be delayed by 2 seconds when they sped them back up. This brings me to the other issue, they constantly slow
My friends, family, and I had a great time racing here! All the staff were extremely helpful and provided high quality service. Miguel helped answer any of my questions over the phone prior to entering. Monique at the front desk was especially helpful and thorough in sorting out all the details for our group of 6 racers. The only small negatives were that it can be a slightly pricey activity and depending on the time you go, you may have a long wait time. I had to go and register 2 hours prior to getting
My experience at this track left me feeling a bit frustrated with their fairness to drivers. Our group consisted of 5 drivers, all pushing ourselves to the limit. However, in the next round, they added another driver to our group. It seemed like they had control over the kart speeds, and they only increased that person's speed, which allowed him to overtake us like we were beginners. When we inquired about it, they simply brushed it off, claiming that he was more experienced. If you're looking for a more f
Super venue with great equipment that is well maintained. Team members are incredibly mindful of safety and well being. We normally go to K1 in Clovis, CA. So it was nice to experience another K1 to see the consistency of operation between different franchises. There are video games and game tables to keep other kids occupied if they aren't driving on the course. Great snacks and drinks to tide everyone over until their next meal.
Racing was fun! We were disappointed by their scheduling policy. Races are scheduled to best utilize their business which made our group wait for 1.5 hours. Groups that came after us were able to race earlier as they had less people. Every person has to register at the computers before waiting in line to get a membership card. Signup kiosks are hard to notice and you might spend some time in line before realizing that you need to sign up before waiting. Staff inside the arena was helpful but the lady workin
K1 Speed Indoor in Santa Clara is a thrilling experience for racing enthusiasts of all ages. The facility offers an exciting and safe environment for go-kart racing, with well-maintained tracks and high-performance electric karts. The staff is professional and helpful, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable racing experience. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned racer, K1 Speed Indoor is a fantastic destination for adrenaline-packed fun.
Overall we had a good time but there could be improvements to safety. We were on the track with a family and a guy who thought he was a F1 driver. This guy repeatedly hit myself and other karts, including some that were driven by young children. He had no regard for safety and would rear end children trying to pass them. This guy never once got a warning and was never told to tone it down. When I complained about it to the staff, my kart speed was significantly throttled for subsequent laps.
Super slow karts. Too many stops. The staff is uncooperative and argumentative. They have a weird policy of allowing only specific people in a race to get to max speed (based on their history in K1 or something ??- there truly didn't seem to be a clear answer for why some karts were forced to operate at lower speeds even when you hit full throttle) and for most part of the race the karts will be slowed down to 3 mph or just put to a halt all together. They did not check whether our safety belts were prope
Indoor course. Electric carts. 30 seconds per lap. You are told multiple times no bumping of any kind will be tolerated. Operators are in 100% control of all the carts at all times, and they frequently take the opportunity to slow the entire circuit down to ensure their no bumping policy was being taken seriously. It was not possible to get in any type of rhythm because the carts kept getting slowed down every 45 seconds or so remotely by the operators. They claim this is for safety. Save your time and m
Great place for a birthday party for 10 year olds. The equipment and cars were nice and clean and overall the staff very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.
Had a great time and would love to come back. When the karts are hitting full speed you really feel it, it's a total blast! They look like they have a lot of sweet deals and events during the week, if I had more free time I could see myself spending a lot of time here.
So fun, great for a team event where you race against colleagues. Although reserving was challenging, we booked online on Monday no response as the person in charge of corporate events was out. We had to try calling multiple times until we got hold of her on Tuesday.
Very exciting experience! Fast and furious
Great experience and fun place ! Took my son for his 15 bday and the experience was amazing great staff!!
We had a great Birthday party for my son with over 50 guests. The front desk staff and Steven, the Manager that day did an awesome job with the coordination and making sure everything was running smoothly with the party. The restaurant staff did a wonderful job on bringing out the delicious hot food on time. The track crew did excellent job with making sure all our young junior and adult racers were comfortable in the karts and safe while racing. Finally a big thanks to Juan Sandavol, the General Manager o
Really efficient with the race times for my son's birthday party that has 9 racers. Food was good too. Everyone had a great time.
The actual racing track seems nice, but it was completely booked when we got there. They were not allowing advance bookings either. So that was a bummer. The arcade outside is plain waste of money. May be good for a younger child who does not qualify to race.
K1 in Santa Clara is a well-run business. Friendly and helpful staff, clear pricing, kid- and adult-sized go-carts, fun track, well-timed laps, many sizes of helmets. I wish there wasn't an obligatory annual membership of $7 though. Other than that, LOVE it. I also thought they did well with a short preparation of the new and experienced kid and adult drivers. Thanks K1!
Pros: 1. Staff is a little relaxed and are not super strict about you bumping into cars. Probably because it was all teens 2. We got to keep our trophies for free when we finished 3. Had decent waiting times in between our runs so that we could recover and race again 4. They have good stats and lap time counters Cons: 1. Lanes are too narrow and you cannot pass unless you hit people 2. Some cars were slower than others ( they are also electric ) 3. It's slightly difficult to fasten helmets as they don't hav
Fun, fun fun. Speed speed speed. My 10 year old son enjoyed his first ever race and asked for another race right away. We also had pizza and played the arcade.
It's a fun and fast experience on the track. But I wish it was easier to call or go online and see how long the wait us for arrive and drive. Also they sit us in the cars early so we had to sit in the cars to wait on 2 other races.
Horrible experience today. Been here a few times prior and after today im never returning to this location. I paid 140 something bucks for 2 races for me and my 15 year old daughter and i noticed during the first race the cars were realy slow. Like .25 throttle the first 2 laps of 12. Then it went up a little like maybe. 5 but the ring master was really on the remote that controls everyones carts and kept makingeveryons carts go slow and stop etc. Couldn't even get any race feeling at all. More like a carni
It was our first time going, and went in expecting poor customer service from some slacker kid as is the norm these days. The young lady at the counter and young men at the track were excellent all around! Great job K1
Kart condition is good. Service is okay. But I really don't like how they are handling the power of karts. The karts aren't that fast even when it's on full power, and they turn down the power all the time. Very often I'm racing with someone else and they just turn off the kart. I understand that it's for safety but you really don't have to slow everyone down when someone just touches the wall (not even a spin). It's even worse when someone has an accident and stops. They slow everyone down to a crawling sp
Been here several times with mixed results. Sometimes had no issues, other times it was too much hassle. Prices are not cheap and rarely can you use a coupon/Groupon. Don't expect to walk-in 1 hr before closing as they don't accept even though it wasn't busy at all. They no longer allow Snapchat glasses nor GoPro?s even with proper secure mounts. At least provide a service that we can buy to record the memory!
Doesn't matter how old you are, you would still have fun! Arranged a staff meeting here with coworkers and had a great time! Good place for team building.
My law firm Lonich Patton Ehrlich Policastri had a firm event on Friday the 16th. Everyone had a blast. The cars were great!! Staff was great too!!
Karts are very old and beat up at this location. I've been to 10 different K1 locations and this has the worst karts by far. You will get at most 9 laps (out of 12) at full power. Staff is also less friendly than at other K1 locations.
We went on Dec 27th, as a family holiday adventure. 10 adults. The reservation process was excellent; the info on the web was accurate and informative. The sales person was very helpful. The day of the event was good. We checked in, were given information, and did our party package. Given the competitive nature of our family, it would have been helpful to have more information on (1) safety (we didn't know they had controls and could slow us down); (2) driving tips, and strategies; and (3) the differe
My son loves coming here for both racing and food. He always has a lot of fun and has improved his skills over the years. The staff are young, friendly, and energetic. The place, however, needs to operate better time wise. Doesn't matter if we come on the weekdays, weekends, or holidays, when it just opens or in the middle of the day, it's always a long wait up to an hour or more to actually get on the kart. It's a quiet Thursday. We get here 10' before 12. It's 1:30 now, and he's still waiting... what's go
This was how I chose to celebrate my 19th (Leap) Birthday, and was one of the best Birthday events ever! What a great way to gather with good friends and have a great time. K1 Speed Santa Clara made it easy and fun, with helpful staff, great food, and of course ... racing! There were 16 of us, and every person remarked on how much fun they had! I want to specifically thank: Track Ops Tyler & Jason who kept us informed and safe as tried our skill at racing electric GoKarts. Cashiers Tina and Daniel helped us
Great place to hangout with friends. The track is good for casual and serious runs. Takes a couple of runs get used to the carts though. Each one is different. You also have different options if you wanted to just do simple laps or also perform competition style laps.
Great fun, place kept up well and the cars were in good condition also. This site tends to get busy especially with corporate events which kills the waiting time. Staff was ok, seen better at Dublin location. Juniors drive separate to adults and have different cars. They serve food also onsite (did not try). Helmets and head mask provided and before you ride they ask you to empty your pockets out so nothing falls on the track during the race. They have lockers also if you want to rent.
Great friendly staff. Very clean facility. Very professional and organized. My son had a great birthday party. Tons of thanks to everyone!
The track was awesome over here but they kept controlling the power of the karts very inconsistently the first race the whole 12 laps the car wasn't even on full power the guy didn't even know the second race as well they didn't up my power until the last 3-4 laps. The guys at SFO were the best with power and flags
The actual karting was a lot of fun and staff were good but a lot of waiting around, for a time slot and then it was 45 mins behind schedule on both races.
Best thing to do is to get at least 8 people in your party. Under 8 people and they don't do group reservations which means you need to arrive early to make sure you aren't waiting for over an hour. The track is pretty fun but you really don't ever need to take your foot off the peddle when taking turns. Food options are pretty limited so eat something beforehand.
K1 speed was very organized and smooth with the large group that I went with. We had an excellent time. The front desk was efficient and clear with the liability forms. The staff working the races were super clear, no nonsense, and took their job very seriously due to the dangers of what we are doing.
We really enjoyed ourselves when we finally got to ride! But this was the 3rd time we tried to ride. The other 2 times we were unable to because they were full for the day and night. So this time, we showed up a half hour before they opened and waited in front of the door so we could be the first ones in. AND EVEN THEN, We still had to wait over an hour for our name to be called because there was a party scheduled. There really needs to be some kind of better system, especially for the prices that we pay. I
Horrible experience. I got some of the arcade online credits since we had to wait quite a bit. We called ahead of time to see the waits, they told us there was no waits around 4 and can do walk in easily. We came and was told a more than 2 hour wait. Annoyed we made an appointment and went out to eat dinner. When we came back decided to do some of the arcade games. Some don't even work (one of the motorycle arcade games display isn't working properly so I couldn't even race with my brother) Actual Go Ka
You need to do this!! Super fast and fun. We made reservations about 2 weeks before for a group of 8 . After signing in and a brief safety briefing we were off and racing. Great experience and super safe. DO IT!!!
A really good experience for those who like Motorsport, the place is great located and the track is pretty good, perfect for those who are practicing how to brake late or less braking on the corners, as always first impression is the most important one. The staff is not friendly, some people is rude, some are friendly, that's why I put 4 and not 5 stars, if it's your first time, better if you read how to register and pay, how to drive one of these, staff makes it super fast and a little bit rude. Otherwise
I went to K1 speed for my birthday party. Not only was it difficult to book, the employees never answered when I called them. The chicken wings in the post race meal were very undercooked and one of my friends got food poisoning. No matter what you do, DO NOT ORDER THE CHICKEN WINGS. The staff took my driver?s license and they did not give it back, and I had to drive 30 minutes to get my ID back. Overall terrible food and trouble staff.
Th is place is rocking! Great way to burn off some steam while putting the pedal to the metal because you can't do it legally on city streets. Get your heart rate up. Pack of three races $42 midweek. Totally worth it. Kids love it. Fun for the whole family or with friends and coworkers. Heck, go solo, too!
Great Customer service from all employees, Thank You Juan for your Outstanding support always going above and beyond to meet and exceed Customer support on any issues or concerns he takes action right away, I Recommend This Location, i bring my kids here often, and they have always Positive Memories from this Location, Thank You Juan and Team,
Terribile kart operation. After paying I was told I had to wait 1.5h for my turn to drive. Couldn't they say that immediately? Driving also terribile as kart were slowing down at every lap so it was impossible to do a full lap at normal speed. Avoid
Overall a really fun experience. It also depends on who you raced with. Our first race with good drivers was smooth and no bumping. Our second race with bad drivers was really bumpy and lots of stopping. So it's the luck of the draw - or you can bring a whole big group, it's 11 people per race!
So lame that they don't allow reservations for smaller parties. You show up in person and the wait list is 5-6 hrs long.
We had our company team outing here. Staffs were friendly and very helpful. This is a good place to go if your team is looking for a team building activity. Our team spent two rounds of racing. First race was a qualifier. In the end we got awarded 1, 2 and 3rd palces through average times of all laps on our second race. Everybody in the team gets to race twice. All the cars are electric so you don't have the smoke smell coming out of combustion engine! All the cars are properly charged before your ride. I
They never answered the phone after calling multiple times over a few days and the manager never responded to any of my many emails. Horrible way to run a business. I wanted to call and email about the best time to go. So we drove 1.5 hrs one way to get there to be told the whole day was booked up and we couldn't race. Apparently you can make a reservation unless it's for 8 people. My kid was super sad. 8/19/24 Tried going again. And got denied again. Called a few times again today to ask if there was spa
This place looks fun, but I've never been able to ride. When my son and I arrived at 2pm on a recent Saturday they informed us there was a 5 hour wait - and no advance booking. We didn't stay. When I emailed their sales department about a birthday party (for 24 kids), they didn't reply until I emailed them again 10 days later. (Don't waste your time parties cost $70-100 PER KID+++ Looks fun but their service is rubbish.
It was thrillingly fun for all people and most ages. The karts are simple to work, and easy to pick up. It's safe and painless and you leave the building with much higher self esteem, whether you placed high or not.
I was there for a birthday party. We had a great time! Nice venue. I liked that the carts were electric. I would say, however, that as someone who has long legs it was very challenging to be in the cart. In addition, I felt they were restricting our speed as I never had to brake during any of the laps.
The go kart racing experience itself is amazing once you actually get to it. Otherwise I would not recommend this place. It took us three attempts to finally get on the schedule. We came back two separate times, the wait times were up to 7 hours! The staff at the front desk was very rude when we came back the second time to register for an actual race. The instructions are very unclear and the staff was not helpful in a swearing my questions or addressing my concerns. The process to sign up is ridiculous.
I was here to race for my friends birthday and was outraged to find out that of the employees had a speed controller in his cart and was zooming around. All the carts should be the same speed, but 2 people flew by me like I was standing still, going almost double my speed. One of the ?racers? Hit my dad so hard it spun him around even while he was going full speed. When i asked for a different cart because I wanted the one the fast guy had, the employee ignored me and asked my friend what our names were.
Amazing experience great go karts, didn't get hurt at all
Carting was super fun, but we needed hosts help a little more time. In total everything went well
Dumb ass place. All the time walking is unavailable or 1-3 hours waiting time. Is no possiblity teas make online reservation on website?
Truly an exhilarating experience! Had fun with our gang from the office! And the food there was very tasty and worth every penny!!
We had a Family race day for my Nephews Bday. The Manager at the Santa Clara track always takes care of us, very courteous and professional. That's our home track. We had another great experience on Sat the 3rd of June.
Overpriced food and drinks, rude staff on the track, not enough clear instructions. Did not feel covid safe at all. The front desk person was kind and patient and saved us from having a completely bad time.
We celebrated my teen son birthday. Guests had a lot of fun on race. However, the service with renting room and food court was terrible. I was needed to ask for everything - forks, knife, pinch of water, caps..... instead of enjoy time with guests.
Staff is always super helpful and attentive. We came for my dad's birthday on 2/5 and we all had a blast, we were able to do our 2 races no less than 10 minutes after we checked in and had the track to ourselves during the races
Great place for some afternoon team building fun. We were walk-ins and the wait time was not relatively bad. The track is a bit small and hard to pass individuals. Would like it better if there was an easier way of knowing when your race would be next instead of waiting outside hoping to be called on.
Went for a corporate event - the track is fun and brings out the competitive nature in folks. The food was nothing notable, kids birthday party quality I suppose. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Love K1 but wish there was an online schedule of walk-in races so we can plan ahead
It was a great experience for our group of kids. Staff was really nice and helpful. With the birthday package our group was suppose to have priority racing but that was not the case. Even though there is a set time just expect to be there longer due to other racers on the track. Some Go carts weren't working and made some of the kids in our group upset and they had to leave the race early because the go-kart stopped working. A group photo was included in the package we purchased but we did not receive. Othe
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
