Spent the weekend at a rb&b above a Mexican restaurant. It was very cozy had a kitchen 2 bedroom 2 pull out sofa beds. Fireplace, ac, heaters, lots of blankets baby fold away crib. Big bbq grill on the terrace. Lots of little shops around. Loved it. With one minor exception the TV did not want to work so we couldn't watch it. Probably their internet.
A fun place to visit with Julian Hard Cider, a wine bar, home decor shops, Arcade games for the kids, and Colts Burger Bar (Excellent!). Which makes for a nice pairing with The Cooler craft beer next door.
This place was the highlight of our trip to Julian. They've got a little bit of everything for everyone. The wine and chocolate tasting was so much fun. Albert really knows his stuff. Then, we had some incredible tacos while listening to live music and enjoying the view outside. It was busy, but nowhere near as bad as downtown Julian. Definitely worth the stop if you're in town.
A fun shopping stop! They offer a variety of shops, a Mexican restaurant, and Julian Hard Cider tasting room. There are public restrooms offered. There is a large seating area with tables, chairs and couches near a kids play area. A great place to visit!
Fast service with a smile. Great tasting local ciders, beers and meads. Drinks are affordable and if you go on Friday, Saturday or Sunday there's a GOOD chance you'll have live music entertainment. Lots to do inside to from arcade games to pool to table games to keep you entertained while you drink.
If you like apples ?? this is a great town to visit and everything before you get there.
Colt's Burger Joint is amazing!! The burgers are juicy and cooked you perfection! I definitely recommend this burger joint.
This place is very special. Live music, wine, beer, cider, mead, mexican food... all within a stones throw of Julian.
The honey mead was beautiful, the Julian Ciders were perfect and Al the owner was amazing. He really cares about his patrons.
Cute place to drink and shop!! It's what every antique store is missing, a bar!! Found a few charming pieces and a cute display photo-op
This place is a great place to eat, walk around and have fun. There are many restaurants and fun things to do. It's a classic stop on my way into Julian.
Went here for my niece's wedding on the 13th. Had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was perfect for her wedding. Wish we had more time to checkout more of Julian! Oh, the pies from there are off the hook delicious!
So fun! Perfect place to spend an afternoon. Amazing mead from Golden Coast Mead, great cider from Julian Hard Cider, and plenty of shopping to browse. Also live music! Fun atmosphere and really nice people working there. Only downside was that the taco stand ran out of food at 2:30... but I'm sure it was delicious!
Great place to hang out with friends. Cider tastes great. Has a taco place smells great. Also has a meadery(honey alcohol) amazing people. Went for my girlfriends birthday had an amazing time.
Very nice getaway spot!! Colt's Burger bar's food was so delicious, staff very friendly and nice!, the place has cool little things do to while you wait for your burgers or other food!!! (Avocado bacon burger is recommended) 5/5
Great place for couples or families to unwind. Hard Cider bar, Wine Tasting, Mead Tasting & really delicious Mexican food. For this with kids theres pool, air hockey, arcade games, and a young kids area with books & activities to keep them occupied.
Julian is always great. The cider up here is amazing. Be warned though right now with COVID all dining is outside, and yesterday it was 103 up there just like at home. Super friendly staff!
Fun collection of tasting rooms. Wine, chocolate, Mead, ciders, and yes, craft beer. Tasty tacos and burritos. We ordered some tacos and the guy cheerfully brought them outside to the other side of the venue at the beer tasting area. It was a great place to hang out in the warm sun on a day when the coast and inland were covered in a cool blanket of marine layer. Our Swedish visitors really enjoyed it. I dinged the venue one star only because it was 4 in the afternoon and they had already run out of beef an
Great place to stop as you take nice drive through the mountains. A few rustic knick knack stores, a solid burger joint (Colt's Burger Bar), Julian Hard Cider's tasting room, and a wine and chocolate bar.
I recently took a field trip to Julian with the San Diego Tour Guide Association and found a hidden gem just a few minutes from downtown Julian. What a perfect location to have your large group event with several venues under one roof. There are multiple tasting opportunities for beer, wine and hard cider. Several quaint country shops, taco bar, live music make the perfect spot for group or private events. I am adding this one to my recommendation list.
The whole experience was just ok; not amazing. The grass fed burger was good. But, it was dissapointing to see that they don't serve fries, just small bags of chips. Serving fries & having more side options would've made it a better dining experience. They did have some arcade machines, pool table & air hockey which was fun for the kids. I did like the live music and calm vibe that was there. However, the dining experience does need to improve. Not planning to return unless I see these changes happen.
Absolutely love Julian Station! We stop here specifically to take advantage of their delicious ciders! They have a new flavor every time we visit that tops the last. Do not pass this place by on your way up the mountain. Stop in and drink a pint or a flight. You'll regret it if you don't!
Small country farm style town. This is a great place to come and stop, take in all the scenery take long breaths of mountain air and slow down . Wow so nice to just walk into a small shop and speak with the people running the shop and actually want to to say hi to you. Julian is known for the pies, do yourself a favor and sample as many as you can. Also check out the mine...
Several small shops located inside this large building. All but two were closed on the day we went , but the experience alone was still worth the trip. A lot of antiques and interesting items to look at. The taco shop also has a small corner dedicated to kids..it's filled with toys and things to occupy them while you enjoy a taco or smoothie
Love stopping here on my drives to Julian. They have burgers, ciders, craft beer, wine, arcade games and little shops. Grab a cider, sit outside and enjoy the mountain sir and scenery.
Very fun place. It's almost like a small mall with 4 bars. Things for kids to do while parents have a cocktail or two. Also there is a Mexican food place there but they were sold out when we got there.
Both Ali and Nichole were amazing and did amazing at assisting us with which ciders we wanted to try and for our julian growler to take home. We love coming back to taste the ciders and spend time here. It's always so welcoming to come in.
One of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had. The craft beer was a great compliment as well. It's a fun place for the whole family.
Nice variety of stores! They also have a play area for small kids which was great. My husband bought a bottle of cider which we shared while our little played.
Loved this place. We were originally just looking for somewhere we could sit with a dog, but the food was super good.O of the best burgers I have had. I highly recommend it. Pet friendly, has bathrooms, and overnight parking if needed
Albert the proprietor was wonderful. He showed us around. Answered all of our quetions. Took us on a tour of the vineyards as well. Julian Station has a little something for everyone. There is food, drinks, adult drinks, games, music, and so much fun. This is a definate must visit when you come to Julian, CA. Thanks, Albert and family for the enjoyable experience.
Julian Station is okay, kiosk style vendors. Mead & wine tasting get my attention. Next door is The Cooler-good local beers & good classic rock.
We only went to the taco place but Jose the owner made us all amazing tacos and horchata and feel very welcome. Highly recommend for a great bite just moments away from downtown Julian.
Great assortment of shops, including the best rock shop I've seen - Moonshine Magic. Julian Cider and The Cooler are awesome places for refreshing drinks.
Whenever I make the trip to Julian, I always stop at the Julian Station. I am always shocked when people haven't heard of it; I've been slowly spreading the word! What looks like a rustic barn on the outside has so many hidden gems on the inside. The people, the food, the drinks, the music, the souvenirs, the jewelry, the antiques, the list goes on... It's such a small town vibe inside Julian Station where all the people inside know each other, work together, trust their visitors, and make you feel at home!
I tried the hard cider! It was awesome and definitely a cool spot to check out! The freaky tiki was delicious and served ice cold!
Julian Station in Wynola is a great experience. It had been over a year since I had been inside when it was being remodeled and I was totally enamored with the whole new theme experience; not just with the yesteryear feel of walking through an Old West venue but I was really impressed with the class and quality of design that has gone into the storefronts and interior layout. Our experience this evening was the once-a-month Sushi Dinner by reservation only at Mr. Manitas Taco Bar and Fruteria. A fully booke
Indoor shopping, eating and all types of drinking! Air hockey, pool table and a play area for kids. Outside patio has music on Sundays! I love this place.
The drive here can be a while if you're coming from SD, but it is worth it. They have some cool stuff, GREAT food, and its just overall relaxing being here.
Dining was at Mr. Manitas. Second Tuesday of the month is Sushi dinner. It was excellent. The fish is served the day it's caught. I had the tuna/maguro, California Roll, and miso soup. It was all delicious. Dining was on the outdoor patio and was perfect. Jyst make sure you make a reservation for dinner.
Best place to grab Mexican food and a julian hard cider. Lots of arcade games for the kiddos to play with! We always have to stop here on the way thru to palomar mtn.
Fun stop. Try the Mead and cider. Mexican restaurant is great, but often runs out of food on busy weekends. Arrive for lunch.
This is what it is all about - kind of a community vendor soup, a spot for wine, spot for Meade, spot for craft beer, and a spot for hard cider. Then top notch Mexican food and antiques. Even a play place for little ones.
Amazing vibe! Great place to hang out with friends, arcade section down the back is so much fun. Very cute stores, would come back again
There are so many places here under one roof - I had no idea! Such a fun place to browse, snack and have a tasting (Wine, Mead and CHOCOLATE!) - or 2.
Fantastically good food and fun surroundings. From the live music to the antique shops, all in the beautiful foothills of the Julian Mountains.
Great place to grab a bite and enjoy some cider. Music on the deck and some interesting shops and old school arcade games.
Thanks for such tastiness. Bacon Avo Burger so good, and slaw was good too, Hubby had bacon cheese burger and beans another thumbs up.
Great place to spend some time. Good food, hot Apple cider was a hot in a cold winter day.
Lots of parking, beautiful environment, many nice little shops. Good Mexican food and cider.
Fun place with great cider. This was a day trip gone right. I recommend the cider flights. A little of everything!
I love Julian station! Welcoming atmosphere and a variety of satisfying ciders to compliment our visit to Julian.
Always neat coming here. Julian hard cider tap room and various small shops. Even a place for lunch.
Everyone is very friendly! Love to go listen to the live music right there too! Try the Razzmatazz if you're drinking
Great cider tasting, not many food options but plenty of drink options.
Amazing spot in Julian! Stop for some cider and food from Eva! Absolutely worth the drive!
Couple of nice little shops here. I really enjoyed Julian Cider and the Mexican restaurant as well.
Loved it loved it. Polite and interactive. Beer was bomb. Had the flight, couldnt feel my face, when I was done
Fun place to shop for gifts, enjoy tasting of beer/ ciders and grab a bite to eat!
Popped in to hit up the taco restaurant that used to be in Julian station and found this gem instead. Burgers were amazing!!
Actually I went to the Cooler. They served my dog, beer water lol. Very animal friendly.
Always an inviting environment. Very family and pet friendly. Hamburger joint is amazing
Good service, but when I got burger I realized it wasnt cooked well. Make sure to tell them to cook it right.
Wasn't impressed. Brought kids to arcade to find 2 machines. Good for adults, beer tasting
The Cooler-Tanya Pitman Great patio, good music, free pool and shuffle board, great beer, nice owner.
So much to do. Great stop on the way to the main rd in Julian. 5 minutes closer to San Diego.
Great food at Mr Manitas. Cool shops. Julian Hard Cider. How can you miss?
Nice place to stop n eat tacos, wine tasting ,kids will enjoy the Arcade
Great place and the food is great as well. Super nice people working there.
Always a great atmosphere here. Music on Sundays and great Mexican food
Great food and cider. Also they have air hockey!
It was fun. Live music, wine tasting shops. Perfect
Julian Cider was fun and delicious. Cute little shops.

Julian Station is a hidden gem. Fun times and relaxation await.
Smaller than i imagined and pretty hot indoor during the summer
Great food, great people and excellent beer!
Great spot to stop for some apple cider and pie!
Very unique place and good cider.
Love Mr Manitas!! Julian Hard Cider is our favorite
Kick butt food and tasting rooms. Love this place!
First time in California. We loved visiting. This location.
More than meets the eye. Get food, drink, and gear at this little place in the country.
Had a great time there. Will definitely go back.
Great to sit out front of the cooler. Great service.
1st Friday of every month is so much fun!
Lovely taco bar and tasting rooms
A greatest stuff ever. A good stopping place in Julian.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
