The atmosphere in this place was awesome with all of the retro toys and collectibles decorating the walls. Unfortunately some of the games are starting to show their age. On several units I had buttons that would stick or just not work. The majority of them did work though. I didn't really see any employees so it was difficult to ask for refunds. Overall the place is worth a visit for the aesthetic alone.
Popped in for a few after dinner to check it out. Holy nerd collection, Batman! It's everywhere! In the best way possible. Absolutely loved the huge collection. The games were pretty cool too. Lots of classics! We played a few, but didn't get anything to eat or drink. The menue looks promising though!
It is a very fun arcade place. I learned how to play a guitar and race. Very fun
The woman behind the counter was kept busy, but managed to keep up on a weekend by herself. The games were mostly classic, but the claw machines were total rip-offs, even more than you would usually find. We had the handmade pizza. It was well made and delicious.
food is a little on the pricey side. i have never eaten here, but have been a handful of times to game. there are tons of classic games available. plenty of pinball machines, shooting games, and claw machines. i enjoyed the 4 player pacman table the most. clean, pizza smelled really good. lots of things to look at on the walls.
Joysticks has that 80s arcade feel, which I really appreciated. Bring cash because these are old school games that take quarters! Food was all fine - the pizza was the star of all the things we ordered. Kids had fun playing the games. The skill crane was impossible, which is also old school, but my kiddo gave up quickly. I'll definitely be back - it was fun!
I had heard good things about the selection of games here, so we went to check it out last night. The first thing I noticed was that the games all used quarters and that the cost per credit was in line with their original prices, so it made playing very affordable by today's standards. While there is a large number of classic arcade cabinets there, I was a little disappointed that they only had one of the more obscure versions of Street Fighter II (Alpha). We did jam a bunch of multiplayer games of Rampage,
Very small place. They call cops on kids for sitting in the back where they do not lock the doors. Mind you there was a storm and this kid was waiting for his mom to pick him up. The arcade did not lock the back door if they don't want anyone back there while it's close I suggest you lock all doors.
I love this place but where did Shaun go? He always gave the best and most attentive service. I have a little boy and our date night was always here. Shaun always took such good care of us. As a small business owner I would do anything for an employee like him.
This place is soooo much fun for kids AND adults. They have Guitar Hero! ???? Super kind employees and good food. Just a great place to go. We had my 9 year old daughters birthday party there a couple weeks ago. She had the BEST time!
Fun vibe with a lot of gaming options. The pizza exceeded my expectations by a mile! Seating options were extremely limited (two tiny tables). The boys running the place were polite and hardworking!
Adrian made my experience at this wonderful place 10/10! His vibe was contagious, fun and respectful! I highly recommend treating your family at this establishment, food was affordable and plentiful! Thanks again Adrian, your awesome!
The owner Mikey is a great guy. Both locations make me feel like a kid again. Beer snacks and old school arcades. What more do you want
Got Raped by the Gamble Machines at this place. I went there with 50 bucks looking to win enough to retire early. No dice, didn't happen this day. Probably try again there sometime.
Fun place, lots of games, not bad pricing. We didn't eat but we did grab a beer.
Menu looked great! But we didn't eat, but played games with my buddies while enjoying the awesome selection of games. Bartender seemed distracted as we waited quite a while for service. But we had a good time
Idk why my sliders are on a hoagie roll. Usually food is good but dang ??. All in all poor in the quality of taste. I'll be back for the games and deep fried stuffs ??
So fun! Kids and adults had a great time. Will definitely come back!
Everything looks amazing, and you can also rent for a private venue.
This place is not good. Most machines were faulty and didn't work. Service was horrible. 5 out of 7 pinball machines barely worked. None were maintained well. Some arcade games were ok but others had faulty joysticks. Haven't had to ask for my money back that many times due to broken machines. When I notified the staff they simply shrugged there shoulders and didn't turn any of the broken or faulty machines off leaving other people to deal with there horrendous arcade. 10 out of 10 would not recommend!
Can't believe they charge $7 for a small handful of fries. Absolutely ridiculous. Will NEVER order food here again. Probably won't be back. Too bad.
Was the best place to take yourself or kids for bday ?? or night out
Had a small birthday party here. Kids were all entertained (with sufficient quarters, of course). Adults had a good time with a pint or two, some pizza and some classic games. Staff was super friendly and helped us out. Atmosphere is a little chaotic, but in a fun arcade way. We'll definitely come back! Available vegan options could be increased but they worked with us to secure some pizzas everyone could eat
My nephew had a good time, and that was the point. But it was 7.50$ for a beer, and 27$ for an 8" pizza ?? seemed a little steep. On a positive note, I won a little hippo out of the claw machine, and my girlfriend won our rent money ?? ?? on one of the lottery machines.
I took my son and 3 friends there for an afternoon of fun. The experience was nice. There are a significant amount of older arcade games mixed in with a few newer style games and lots of pinball. You will go through cash fairly quickly if you are playing the newer games which are a buck each. The old games are a quarter each but at least a few were not working. You can buy bottomless soda for 3.00 each but at the time we visited, the Sprite had been used up and the Employee mentioned he would need to repla
I was very excited to visit Joysticks Arcade & Eatery since it opened. I have dined at Mikey's Pizzeria countless times, so when I heard they opened an arcade on third street, I could not wait. I do not believe I was disappointed. There was a large variety of fun games and yummy food for visitors to enjoy. I especially enjoyed the fried oreos and elephant ears. On the other hand, it was a bit crowded in there (which caused it to get quite warm), and there was a lack of seating. I would highly recommend it f
The interior is dirty and cramped but looks cool, and they play spongebob on the TV occasionally. However, the prices on the arcade machines are misleading, and instructions on how to play they aren't clear or don't exist. When you guess the price and get it wrong, it eats your coins, only a select few games coin return, actually returns your coins. The food was expensive, so we didn't get it $10+ for a corndog
Went there today for first time. Arcade was fun for the kids. The food was bad!! we love Mikey?s!! But the food at the arcade was not good. I ordered the pizza bread. Paid about $12 or so for it. Was not good at all!! I ordered curly fries and there was just pieces. Nothing curly in there. The kids had fun playing.
Covid-19 has left me with few options to explore around town for a meal out back then. Living only 4 blocks from the 3rd Street area, the arcade pub & grub called "The Joy Stick" has been a winner amongst my choices on 3rd Street!! Enter thru the front or rear door. My first visit left me pleasantly surprised, with a mix of 60's pinball style machines, all the way to the arcade games of the 70's, 80's, and 90's, including fun opportunities for the younger kiddies too. You will also find great food and bre
We had a good time, both of us found some games from our childhood, as well as some newer ones. The raspberry cider was great, the prickly pear also worth a try. Didn't have a chance to try the food. If you want to play slots they have some of those tucked away in the back.
Great arcade! Classic arcade games and pinball machines. The theming is fun and the staff were friendly. The food is made to order the menu has a decent selection and some sweet treats as well. We had fun with our 10 year old this will definitely a great place for families to have some fun in McMinnville.
Love all the arcade games here , along with beers and ciders
I loved all the retro arcades and the beer. However our experience was just OK. We spent $14 each on a couple of tiny pizzas that tasted extremely mediocre. The arcades were expensive and the overall feel was crowded and loud. I most likely wont be returning as the experience was not worth the cost.
Joysticks is awesome fun! Great homemade corn dogs, mac n cheese bites and unbelievably tasty fried mozzarella chunks not sticks. Nice selection of drafts both cider and beer. Cool old school games that actually take quarters. No game over $1 to play. Cool theme with game characters, friendly staff what more can I say. It's a great place for families and friends of all ages.
This place is very tight on space, the tables are in the walkways but it's because it is jam packed with games. Which should be the primary focus of an arcade. Brought my neice here for her 13th and she had a blast with her friends. Some classics, pinball, duck hunt, racing. We will be back for a date night soon.
Took my kids to play video games today. I arrived there at noon and the woman on duty said she wasn't open and told us to wait to enter in a rude and hateful tone. Made us feel unwelcome. I also had to use the restroom and she was completely rude and acted like she didn't want me to use it. Not sure if I want to spend my money here anymore if I am going to be treated poorly. The lady acted like us being there was an inconvenience. Terrible customer service.
Such a fun spot. Amazing homemade food. Will return!!
Place has a good vibe and a lot of games to choose from, even for the adults it has the Oregon lottery. When it's busy the time it takes to order food or a drink takes a while due to only one or two employees at a time so a little under staffed at times. That's the only bad thing I can say which is not that bad at all. It's a fun place to take the kiddos and have a good night of fun for everyone.
Great night out! Great fried food, love the hand dipped corn dogs, the fries are amazing and the zucchini isn't bad. The draft beer is a good price. Playing games that I love and it brings back great memories. Highly recommend
The food was horrible, corndogs still doughy, French fries barely cooked and served cold. Sliders were suppose to be with cheese and bacon, got 2 sliders, meat that was barely done, cheese that was completely melted off the meat and the bacon was actually sliced ham. And as with the other food was not served hot. Asked for a few napkins and was handed the entire plastic napkin holder, Never did see anyone wash their hands the entire time we were there. Frankly for the almost $60. 00 we paid for this we c
This is a great arcade. Reminiscent of the great home town ones from the 80s, but server beer. The food is lacking, but there are plenty of places down town. They have one in Amity but it needs more games. However it has much better food.
Warm beer and cold fries. When I ordered a pint of beer, the guy behind the bar gave it to me with an inch of head on it and seemed surprised that I asked him to fill it up. Arcade machines are not very well maintained - some just swallowed quarters, others have screens that have seen better days (eg Mortal Kombat 2 was just GREEN).
Such a great place. The staff is the best at this arcade. I stop in several times a week and spend money to support this local business. Even take the kids to play games like I did in my youth (pre-covid). The food is good and some is great. And they have a selection of beers on tap for the grown-ups. A real gem, you will be amazed at the feel of time travel when you enter this place. Now with covid winding down the arcade is continuing to be a great place, the staff is able to give good service as the cro
Nice selection of games but food wise costly and half asked. My daughters was still partly bloody and their chicken strips and fries sm/lrg are literally the same size aside from one more piece of chicken a size sm is $8 while a lrg is $16..... Definitely not worth the money plus the chickens over cooked. I'd only go again for the games never for the food.
Fun and nostalgic or just plain fun. There's a huge screen showing something funny like King of the Hill. Good games and food. I had pizza and a beer.
We keep coming here simply because our son likes the place. And we always order elephant ears. Today we ordered 2 elephant ears and 1 was half the size of the other. The price of games are already shady. At $5+ ea (or whatever the price is these days) we only ask that the size of elephant ears remain consistent.
I want your boss there to understand that a dasher represents a paid customer. Would you deny a waiting customer the bathroom? We r making you $ and serving the customer and should be allowed the luxury of a bathroom while we drive around with your food. I seriously doubt that dashers stole your keys. We can also rate and accept or deny orders which will eventually reflect on your business. Look at dashers as both employees and a representative of the customer, both deserving access to the bathroom.
A wonderful place to spend an hour or a day. Great staff who are always looking for a way to excell and make your experience better. Great drinks and food from the kitchen really add to this location. And with it being on 3rd Street our main strip. It has to be my favorite arcade to ever have been able to visit. Don't miss out on this gem if you come to McMinnville.
This place is awesome! A little hidden gem in downtown mcminnville. There were tons of classic games, new games. Most games were 50 cents, some were a dollar each. The decor was just amazing all the memorabilia. I will definitely return.
Great selection of games. But not the cheapest arcade.
Good food. Good customer service. Fun games. Plenty of beer options. Cute server. No complaints about this place.
Update Edit: Super Bowl Sunday, there were only 2 staff, service was slow, and the taller employee seemed irritated. Customer experience was not what I remembered. Food prices feel steep for what you get. This will probably be my last visit even if I'm in McMinnville again. Mortal Komat 2nd player Low Kick doesn't work. I'm not sure if they have a regular repair service to upkeep their games. There are over 75 games, shooters fighters, facing, claw games, prize games. There is a good variety. Some classic
A lot bigger inside then it looks. The staff were friendly. Food was good. Reminded me of bar food. Lots of selections of games. Only thing is the spacing gets kinda tight after 5ish but we went in on Saturday night.
The food is so delicious I highly recommend this place man plus like they do the Uber Eats deal as well so you can order ahead of time oh you cannot go wrong and if you want to dine in there's plenty of stuff for the kids to do
Great little find! Will be back! Lots of quarter games, old school games, beverages and big screens with football too! Great place for the whole family! A few more stools would be great.
2 of the machines were really hard to use Usually I like taking my grandson to arcades and stuff like that so we can have fun and I believe we've got more frustrated than had fun the good part was that we gotta do it together though
One of my favorite places to go! They have great gastro food, have a decent tap list and have my favorite bar game... See if you can beat my bowling score! ??
It was nice to get out and have fun with my boy !!! But that need more employees because I had to look around for someone more then once to get any help drinks bathroom key ??? But its a nice place my son loved it !!!
Most games cost 25-50 cents. There are some that cost $1 like pinball and some newer games. The old school games were the fun ones to play.
It was pretty cool with plenty of games to play. I had a good cider (2 Towns Apple Fruity flv). Service time is a wait with only one person
games were fun and food was good but customer service wasn't that great at all, it was super hot in there and the cook didn't wear a mask while cooking all of our food. not one employee smiled once while we were there.
Quaint arcade with a solid retro vibe. Provides standard arcade faire, with drinks on tap. Also has lottery in the back in a 21+ space. Is an excellent addition to the town.
Cute place. 25c games mostly. Sliders and fries are good. $14 for 2 sliders and fries is kinda spendy but they were filling.
It was very crowded and small. Games were fun tho. Would have been nice to have more seating but they are very limited on space so not ideal to add anymore. It was alright tho.
Ordered through DoorDash my sliders were amazing however all of my fries were soggy and ruined in my opinion. I think you might want to use a different package for togo orders.
My sister works here.Tip her well! Also pretty chill spot. Drinks, great food and of course the arcade! Go you won't be disappointed.
Arcade is great, food is okay. Fries are somehow always fresh hot but never fully cooked
Had a great time with my son. Great food. We have gone multiple times now and glad to have a place like that in town.
I mean come on guys. It's mac. This is an arcade with food and beer. What else could you possibly want in life. Great games. Great atmosphere. And deep fried oreos!!!
Fun place for the whole family
Dude behind the counter "the long hair" was totally awesome I came in injured my hand was bleeding he gave me first aid and helped ease my mother 5 stars
Fantastic place to spend family game night. Food is great. Service is awesome and games are super fun!
It's a great place to bring the kids and just relax the foods great the people who work there were amazing and I loved the atmosphere ??????
Not a place I'll take my kids again! The manger that night was horrible! 3rd street is always a good experience but not this place.
Really cool place. It was really hot but those machines create a lot of heat so I wasn't surprised. Video games help soothe the soul.
Great fun for the whole family. Limited beer selection and the games are a little on the Spendy side
My grandson loved it
They have packed so much fun into this space. I was blown away with the variety. Great job
Great atmosphere, great food, games for the kids and adults! Plus the decor is awesome! ????????
i found a fly inside my chicken and they were still frozen and cold plus took 1 hour for so disappointing ?? pens? que fueron a matar la gallina ??
Great food, great service. But the homeless overwriting them.
Good food and games, only thing wish was different was the seating. But they are trying to mak2 the best of it, it seems.
Fun arcade with vintage video games and pinball, as well as good pizza, etc. Fun family or date night.
My boy and I had a lot of fun playing games that I played when I was younger.
It's a cool place to hang out with your kids.
Super friendly quick to bring food and all together a great time playing games there
Better and better every time I'm there. The games are a little pricey but nothing unreasonable
Fun place for a birthday celebration!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
