So excited a place like this opened up in Eugene - definitely different from the arcade bars because there's plenty of space to break out board games! Love the beverage selection. There's something for anyone including NA, kombucha, and cold brew coffee. We will definitely be back!

Cool independent beer selections and fun cocktail menu. Friendly staff and pretty chill vibes, pool table is a bonus! Hot dog is also yummy

Really like how they have redone the place and pool is free most weekdays. They only serve hotdogs, different kinds. They have board games as well and a smoking section deck.

This bar stands out for its exceptional attention to detail and devotion to guest service. It surpasses expectations with its unique blend of free Nintendo Switch lounges, a huge selection of table top games , pool , clean and modern full bar, tons of tap options, and a covered deck with tables and darts. It's kid friendly before 9 pm too. I highly recommend it to friends and family and will book birthday parties and events with these seasoned local business owners. Rumors suggest they're also getting claw

Had a blast at this place ? the staff was super friendly and authentic, the drink options were varied and tasty, and everyone around was having a good time. At a couple points folks at multiple gaming stations were simultaneously singing along with the music ? a real sweet atmosphere.

We had the pleasure of visiting Joystick yesterday and talked with one of the owners. They are doing something unique and family friendly with something for everyone. My wife and I enjoyed nitro coffee on tap while our son played the new Switch 2. They are bringing this space back to life. We'll definitely be back!

What a great place to watch a game. Owner super friendly and Nintendo and Booth setups top notch! Great huge TV setups and great beer. Could probably use a more expanded menu at some point to match everything else. A hidden gem.

Lucky find as a place to watch the football game. The bar is a library of independent breweries and the staff couldn't be friendlier. Lots of space, plenty of TV screens, inside and outside seating options, pool tables and pinball machines, and the menu offers vegetarians options at no extra cost. Absolute gem of a sports bar. 110% would return in a heartbeat.

Very fun games themed bar with foosball, pool, bubble hockey, basketball hoops and gaming consoles. The foosball table is a mint condition Tornado T3000 coin op that is in pristine condition but only needs a light to see the game better. Friendly casual ambiance with a good selection of beers and ciders. They have free pool during certain hours on Monday through Thursday, also.

My 6 year old son asked on intuition to stop by what we remember as 'Big city gaming'. I was reluctant due to the change it had went through after 2020. Well I pulled in today February 21,2025, only to be greeted by the owner (Justin) to find out he is turning it back to all gaming??. My boys are ecstatic! We had a great time with unlimited play on the Nintendo switch bottomless refill on fountain drinks and we were even able to get pizza from the food cart 'za' and bring it in. One of my boys had a ho

Went in based on a review we saw on the Eugene Foodies Facebook group and the hype was real! The atmosphere was great! The staff was friendly and the tap list was incredible. We will be going back to watch some games and bringing friends next time. A great sports bar for watching all sports! 10/10 and a great addition to downtown Eugene.

This place was such a fun outing, they had so many switches just ready to play and great local ciders on tap! Definitely recommend!!!

Stopped in for the first time yesterday. Great service, friendly bartender, played some pin ball which was great and brought us back to our youth!!! Restrooms were clean and fully stocked. Can't wait to return and try a chili dog!!! Environment was friendly, fun and super clean!!!

Awesome spot with great beer and cider lists. We celebrated a friends birthday there and it was a perfect space to mix and mingle with a group. Pool, foosball, darts, pinball, and they even have booths set up with nintendo switch consoles. Who doesn't love mariokart? Very friendly staff!

My boyfriend and I were in town for the weekend and stumbled upon Field House to watch football. We are big beer drinkers so the 46 tap selection was enticing, along with the knowledgeable bartenders and friendly service. Justin, the owner, provided excellent hospitality, was very knowledgeable about the community, and passionate about creating a fun and safe place to hang out, play games, and drink beer! The gourmet hot dogs were also a nice addition with our delicious IPAs. 10/10 recommend!

Until recently, the Venn diagram of bars that served a variety of great regional craft beers and bars set up for televised sports was two non-overlapping circles. Happily, Field House changes that paradigm. Awesome beer, great service, wall o? TVs, ample seating, and yummy hot dogs too!

I am overjoyed to see this place heading back to the roots! The atmosphere was cozy and the video games were amazing! I have all the nostalgia feels of when I use to spend all my days here!

Great place for sports, boxing and UFC! Literally the only spot downtown that shows UFC. Lots of quality beers and ciders on tap and also has a full bar. The bartender that served us made us awesome cocktails! He definitely knows his stuff. They got darts on the patio and plenty of seating also a smoking section. They got two pool tables and they're brand new! Nicest tables and cues I've ever seen in downtown Eugene. Super clean and great staff. What ever team you wanna watch they can play it. I'm definitel

10?s 10?s 10?s across the BOARD!! So much fun! We had a great time watching the game & shooting some hoops. Great looking menu and they have a huge selection of NA bevies for those of us who don't drink ?? The staff was kind, helpful & welcoming. I'll definitely be back!

So the place itself is the shit is missing something but I think is still just starting so come support it the staff is the shit and the area is perfect minors til nine and the beers are on point. There's food in there and food outside. Let's throw some parties there and make it the spot. Well worth it.

They are doing great things. Easily one of the best draft lists in town with super clean lines. Amazing hot dogs with locally sourced ingredients. A great spot to bring friends and meet new ones. Cheers!

Love this bar! Nintendo games are so fun and drinks and food are amazing!

We dropped in to watch a game and sample some beers. Lots of TVs, fantastic beer selection(they even had something from Maine), and super clean bathrooms.

Best taplist in Eugene. These people are committed to an epic experience for their customers. I'm coming back

Came in on a dead Monday met the owner who is very personable. Good service great atmosphere, good prices and it always an amazing feeling supporting a locally owned Eugene owned business

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience.
