Customer Reviews

First time here! We sat outside (patio is large). Amazing server! Everyone was super nice and helpful! Our server, Brittany, recommended the Cajun Cod Bites - 10/10 review! She was probably one of the best servers we have had in a long time! We mentioned we are new to the area and she recommended a ton of great spots to check out! We will be regulars here for sure! Monday burger special was awesome too! $6 classic burger with purchase of beverage! I couldn't wait to take a bite of my burger before I took a

Cute place, comfy & no blaring music, Thank you, people just talking eating & enjoying the time with each other. Food is Amazing Drinks are plenty and all is reasonable priced. Well definitely be back with friends.

First time here, fantastic Bacon Mac n cheese, cod and fried pickles.

Local ?secret?. Great food. Extremely clean kitchen. The pot roast tacos are top notch. The Wednesday spaghetti & meatball special is great. We haven't tried anything that we DIDN?T like.

Very good food. Anything with pot roast in it is good, and they put pot roast in everything.

So we went here with a group of 9 people and the hostess was able to fit us in on a 4 top in the bar area. She apologized it was going to be tight. Fortunately for us the table next to us opened up and we slid the table over. That's when the manager Craig gave us a hard time telling us it would be common courtesy to ask the hostess and the proceeded to ask one of our people if there was a problem. This manager shouldn't be a manager or dealing with guests. Food was great and the waitress was great but the h

Fantastic Dinner and great service!! Sampler: fried chicken tenders, onion rings, Cajun pickle spears, and mozzarella sticks . 12oz New York green beans and mashed potatoes. (It was definitely bigger than 12oz) Fire House Burger: jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, spicy mayo and fresh avocado. Bread pudding with vanilla ice cream topped with Walnuts and sauce. (Best I've had in awhile)

Stopped in for lunch. Service was quick. Food was delicious. I had the Shawncy and my wife had the BBQ chicken wrap. Both were great.

They were very busy but service was still on point and the food came out fresh and at lightning speed!

Great food. Service is a little slow but worth the wait. Very busy every day of the week. Perfect dinning and drinking location.

JBD White Horse Inn is a fantastic spot for a delicious meal. The food is consistently very good, with the pot roast sliders being a standout?they're absolutely amazing and worth the trip alone! The menu offers a variety of tasty options, making it a great choice for a satisfying dining experience. From what I've heard, this place was recently bought and the new owners have done an excellent job turning it around. The improvements are noticeable, and it's clear they've put effort into making this a top-not

OMG......the Pot Roast Grilled Cheese is delish! Hubs had the Pot Roast sliders and he said he could "eat a tableful" of them. He really liked the sauce on them too. The minute you walk in you cant help but salivate at the delicious smells of good ol' HOMECOOKING ABSOLUTELY YOU NEED TO STOP IN??????

The food is great. We really enjoy going there. Very friendly.

Great place, love the atmosphere. Wonderful staff and superb food. Try the portobello mushrooms for an appetizer, it's so yummy!!

You have got to stop in here! Even if it's a quick bite, you won't regret it. Has an local bar feel. Everything is priced really well and it's cooked perfectly. The drinks are priced really well and offer decent selection. Service is fantastic and friendly. Bunch of TV?s to watch at the bar or if you're dining in. The burger was seasoned well and the pot roast tacos are crazy good. You got to try this place out for yourself.

Good burger and a nice meal outside on the patio. I generally avoid places that have slot machines (I don't like to eat where I gamble), but this was a nice experience. Writing the review in January. Meal was in October.

Great food, great service! Definitely a must stop if you have a free night out.

Nice place to go and chill and have a nice lunch or dinner. The hostess thats my favorite is Penne. She makes me feel that I chose the right place. Shes very welcoming which is always a plus for me.

The waitstaff was amazing! The food was exceptional, from the appetizers to the main course plus the dessert!!! The portions were huge as well! Everything was fresh! We highly recommend everyone try this place out, you will love it!

normally the burger is 4 out of 5 I've tried them all but my go to is the classic. im not sure if they changed something on it (maybe the bun) but monday night it was off - bun was hard and one side was like stale, i had to tear it off.

Two must tries are the Shawncy and pot roast tacos at this local dive. The $5 burger is delish and a great deal as well!! Bar seating fills up fast after tradesmen work hours so Make sure you get there before

Food was good our server Chris was very good. But we were sitting at the table for 15 minutes and the hostess comes and reserves the table for 8pm. Then she proceeds to remind us that she wasn't rushing us but we only had a few minutes left to sit at the table. Then some older ?gentleman? comes and stands at the table to remind us. It was rude we were paying customers. I've never been treated that poorly before. I will never go back there again.

Extended family rented the banquet room for a holiday gathering.. Staff was exceptionally attentive. Pot roast sliders were some of the best I have ever had.

Nice atmosphere with delicious food. All workers were nice and very friendly.

Wednesday spaghetti is soooooo good big portions too???? Trying the steak special tonight! Lisa was our server and she's Amazing! ??

The transformation of the White Horse Inn is amazing! Once a seedy dive bar, now one of the best bar and grills in town! Everything on the menu is delicious, the servers are friendly and the beer is cold!! The new outdoor patio is the place to begin the spring, summer or fall!

The food here is excellent and the atmosphere upbeat. I had the Monday burger special and he had the pot roast quesadilla. Great service from Lorna.

I have to be honest. Staff didn't wear masks, usually places bring you a new drink for a refill with all this covid stuff, they kept grabbing my drink and taking it to refill. We had to ask for straws for everything, even water, and we didn't get any napkins with our food, had to ask. Seemed a little unorganized. They weren't overtly packed or slammed so I can't see why.

The food was amazing. Fried mushrooms are great. The bartenders were doing the best they could with a full house and a smile thank you guys for your service.

Great place to hang out have some food and drinks. Great crowd and service

We went to the White horse Saturday August 24 about 5:30. There were many empty tables, but no hostess to seat us. The bar was also very empty so we decided to sit there. The youngish guy bartender got both of our drink orders wrong and did not even know what a spiked watermelon was (a drink we have all the time there). At that point we realized the bartender was distracted by his friend sitting at the bar. It was very apparent they were doing their fantasy football selections. This man was yelling p

Great place to enjoy a pub style meal? the pot roast is excellent !!!

The white horse never disappoints! Best Reuben and wings in town. If you love pot roast try the Shawncy. You won't regret it.

The servers are absolutely wonderful and food is great here however the management team is rude, has attitudes and needs more customer service training. Tonight we left after just getting our drinks. The waitress mistakenly ordered the wrong beer for my husband when the manager brought it out and we realized it was wrong my husband said don't worry about it and that he would drink it. The manager rolled her eyes and rudely put the drinks on the table. We were being nice and accepting the wrong beer and that

We took our food for take out. The food was good but way too expensive for what u got. Couldn't believe it. The SW chicken wrap had way too much lettuce. The mushrooms were my favorite. They are excellent. The rueben was good but not worth the price. Overall for bar food I give it a 3 and a half.

They team was so good to us, they were attentive, turned the music down for our Princess and the food was great. Highly recommend the roast, Cajun tots, all of it! We came in the summer and the salad was amazing.

Philip was our outstanding server. My husband had a burger and fries... his verdict: "It's a burger!" I had stuffed portobello mushrooms and a BLT wrap with fries. I also had a berry sangria. Everything was excellent, and the total was around $60. We'll be back ??

Favorite spot for food and drinks, the company I work for even catered food from here, love this place

This place is a hidden gem. Food is always amazing! Beat pot roast in town!!

Food was great! Got the mushroom and Swiss burger and curly fries. My grandfather got a mushroom and Swiss with coleslaw. Our waitress forgot to bring us silverware and we had to flag down another waitress to get some after nearly 10 minutes. Never came back to refill our drinks either. We had to ask another waitress for our check. The place was very busy inside but outside on the patio it was very peaceful and quite nice. I would recommend coming here and I will be back.

Bar owners were wonderful to my and my friends and family.

First timers here and they told us they are known for their burgers, but the burgers didn't have any flavor. You're honestly better of going down the street to Williamson?s which have much better tasty burgers that are more flavorful too! I don't know who voted for them to have the ?best burgers??

Food was good, pot roast tacos were awesome, just can't quite get past them charging $11.00 for jalape?o poppers and then only giving you 4, lesson learned. Server was very kind and attentive. Definitely will be back, will just stay away from the appetizers as they are all $10+ and I have to imagine the serving size doesn't meet that price.

Wanted to try something different and was pleased with the choice. Loud but friendly atmosphere. Plenty of TVs to watch the Sox game. Good sandwich too!

Walked in with my sister sat at a pub table to the west of the bar. Waited for someone to help us, the bartender saw us made eye contact, we waited some more, finally went to the bar asked the bartender if there was a waitress and was told that we had to check in with the hostess! Who knew and seriously no one could tell us! We left. I am a former business owner and if my bartender didn't acknowledge a customer I would be PO'd. Never again. Also when I did go to the bar the bartender was no pleasant

From the outside it looks like a little dive bar...but lookout! A great menu and decent backyard with tables... And holy shit....that pot roast! You can't go wrong...second time here and we will be back

I ordered the pot roast. While was tender, it was salty and burnt. The broccoli was not steamed very well. Some pieces were still raw. My husband ordered a burger, and it was bland.Nothing came on it. He wasn't told that while ordering. No lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.

The White Horse is a cool place to go. Good food, great atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable. Pot roast dinner is delicious. And the pot roast tacos.

Been here several times and always had a great delicious meal and brought 2 new ladies this time and they really enjoyed there meals and will be coming with there husbands.

Food was ok, service was fine but the music was way to loud.

Recently returned to JBD White Horse, after living out of state for the last year, and was disappointed by the noticeable decline in homeyness. The ambiance that once felt welcoming now lacks its former charm, and the staff seemed overly cautious (obvious new manager trying to prove himself. Carded a friend in his 30s a second time at the bar after already being carded at the door). Despite our group being well-behaved and not causing any trouble, we were abruptly cut off from ordering hard alcohol, which

If anyone is passing through New Lenox, I strongly recommend stopping in here. The food is so good, it should have gotten the attention of Guy Fieri. How it hasn't is beyond me. The service was incredible. The atmosphere was homely, but a bit crowded.

Julie was very kind and welcoming and helpful. the food was great. I will definitely come back here again.??

What a wonderful place to visit! Excellent service, excellent food & the prices are very reasonable. The place always has a steady stream of people coming & going. Never had to wait for a table though. The food doesn't take long to get & it is very good. The servers are great & always stop by & ask if we needed anything else. Just an overall positive experience every time I go there.

First time here and we will definitely be back. Delicious food We had Buffalo shrimp appetizer. Pot roast tacos and the perch dinner. Great and quick service.

Food isn't even that good. You all suck ass skipping customers touch tunes that I paid for. This place is lame as hell and not for a good time. Get bent!

Good food and atmosphere friendly staff

Just the kinda place I'm looking for , laid back not too loud, family friendly. Resonal prices. Cod plate was great.

Imagine going out with friends on your last weekend before you ship out for the military and getting refused alcohol here because your ID is out of state, and also add on being 29 and the bartender being rude about it. Will never come here again.

Really good food, but the "Fire House" burger was mild.

Nice cozy little spot. Went for lunch with my family. Service was very good. The fajita quesadilla was very good and the fried pickles were amazing. Great breading and seasoned well. Never been to a bar where pot roast was the star but now I see why. The beef barely soup was very fresh and homemade and so was the cheeseburger soup. The Shawncy came recommended and did not disappoint. A simply done grilled cheese on Texas toast with a hearty portion of potroast inside. Pot roast was very homemade tasting. No

I am giving the food at JBD in New Lenox, a 5 star rating because it was really good. I recommend the Pot Roast Tacos(Delicious) along with their Onion Rings & Wings are Superb. Our server was really attentive and nice, offered suggestions and was good with service. I was a little Disappointed with the female manager, who not once came over to our table to say Hello or just check on how things are etc, No engagement/interaction with us,,,although she stopped at every table around and next to & near us but N

We were driving down I80 near New Lenox and saw a billboard for White Horse Inn. Just as we got to the Rt 30 exit, traffic was almost at a stand still, so we got off to have lunch. The waitress and bar tender were super friendly and told us which was there favorite menu items. We both ended up ordering burgers, they were fantastic. I got fries with mine and he had an order of onion rings & a soup. The fries were excellent, the onion rings were very good and he enjoyed his broccoli & cheese soup. Over all it

I have been eating at The White Horse Inn for years. It is far and away the best homemade, scratch kitchen food you can find in a pub setting. You can tell that they put in the effort to create fresh and flavorful menu items. I highly recommend anything "pot roast" as well as the fried mushrooms. If you have never had homemade (not pre-fried then frozen) deep fried mushrooms you absolutely need to try them at White Horse Inn. You'll never eat the factory frozen shrooms again! Keep up the good w

Heard great things about this place so gave it a couple of tries. First time in we were pleasantly greeted and even shown around the restaurant and outdoor patio. Staff was great. Tried the pot roast grilled cheese- good but not crave worthy. Second try was to give their famous burgers a go. Sat at the bar and bartender was gruff at best. Maybe you need to be a local? Burger was very well done even though we asked for medium. Got charged a split plate fee because we shared the burger and fries, even

Getting the multiple bartenders attention at this place is not easy. I asked if I could order food and she said in a minute and walked away. 10 minutes later I asked the other bartender if I could order and she took our order. The food was just ok. The buffalo shrimp sauce has great flavor but the shrimp were bland and overcooked. The Mediterranean salad in no way made me think of the Mediterranean totally lacking flavor. There is a lot that has changed here in the past few years and not for the better. The

Food was very good & service was great. Food came out very quickly which worked well as we were on a tight schedule...

The following dishes were all rated "excellent " by our group; pot roast dinner, cauliflower crust Flatbread, BLT, pot roast tacos, and grilled cheese. The cheeseburger rated a "very good." The pot roast was fantastic. The service was outstanding. It was my first time here in decades, and I was extremely delighted . I will be sure to return soon.

Always call first make sure they have tables. Always packed. And amazing atmosphere

Food here is amazing. One of the servers always has an attitude and seems like she doesn't want to be there but besides that It is my absolute favorite place to eat in new Lenox. My friend and I had her the other day and it makes me want to drop a star but I won't because I've had other servers and they are fantastic. I tell all my clients to try it here. They are always so amazed after they go by how great the food really is!!! The portobello appetizer with a side of shrimp- chefs kisses. I do not recomme

Fun, lively pub. They were the only place open during the beginning and throughout the height of the pandemic and never required masks!! Oh and the food is quite awesome! Voted best burger in Will County the past 4 years.

Some friends and I came here recently for some drinks and snacks. Since the place looked pretty empty when we entered, we asked if they minded putting some tables together for us so that we could sit together. The waitress shared that she needed to ask permission first. A manager came over and stated that they would be able to put the tables together for us today because it happened to be a rare slow night but that if we showed up again without calling on a Thursday night, we could forget it. She communicat

Excellent staff! Thank you Julie you are awesome ?? Food also did not disappoint. Spot on excellent!! So why the 4 stars? Ice n I mean ice cold ??water to wash your hands in the bathroom. Does it really cost that much to have even slightly off frozen water for the comfort of your guests?

Had the beef barley soup it was very good but different. The lemon chicken was also good. Others has Italian sausage, chicken salad and cod bites and chicken tenders. Everyone was happy with food and service

The food is always great. Service can be spotty towards the end of the night. Always packed. Good jukebox music selection. Wide variety of drinks. Try a "Payday Shot" they are tasty. But above all the food should not be looked passed. ????

It is extremely expensive for below average food. The burger was okay, but the fries were about half what you are given elsewhere. It was 40 degrees out and they had the doors proped open. Very loud in and any annoying. I will definitely not be back. Better off going to Tom Kelly's Chophouse & Pub.

After a hot day spent at the New Lenox Commons, great place to cool off with a cold beer and appetizers! Great service and atmosphere! Our go to when in New Lenox!

The burgers are delicious. It was rather busy when we walked in, but we got seated right away. We got our food about 10 minutes after we placed out order. The staff is very friendly. Our waitress Lexi made sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend you give them a try

We stumbled upon this place . The place was full at 2:00 p.m only two seats left. We ordered Ruben sandwich. We are Ruben snobs and let me tell you it was the best we ever had! Bartender was super nice and friendly. Great food and service! We went back today for pot roast. Sooo good. We had waitress named Nancy and was absolutely fantastic, so attending and nice. Thank you Nancy.

Food is great and so are the prices. However, I had to give it 2 stars because of the Bartender. It was a Wednesday at 6 and it wasn't busy at all. Older lady cannot handle this bar and she cannot multi-task what so ever. I know the owner is smart, if he wants to stay that way. Get rid of her! She cannot tend bar!!!!!! Lemont

Met friends there after hearing about the great food. We were not disappointed. Burger was great and their pot roast sandwiches were amazing. At a great price. No wonder it was packed, even on Tuesday! We might have a new hangout!

First time coming to JBD, kept seeing mixed reviews on facebook. But decided to give it a try. And let me tell you! The food is amazing. Good Portions and our server Crissy was great. Ordered a JBD sampler, Patty Melt, FireHouse Burger, and a Reuben to go. I was honestly surprised and super satisfied. When I ordered the sampler i was going to ask if i could sub out the fried pickles as I have never had them, but forgot to do it and Im glad i didnt sub them out as they where delicious. Super friendly atmosp

This Friday was my first time at this establishment, and definitely my last! After arriving at the establishment, I went up to the bar to order a drink. When I was asked what I wanted to drink, I responded "Can I get a bourbon on the rocks, just nothing bottom shelf please." I was served my drink, and was asked if I would like to open up a tab (which I did). About 30 minutes later I went back up to the bar to order a second drink. They refused to serve me staying I was cut-off. When I asked why, their re

The food is excellent! Service is amazing! The atmosphere is spot on! Highly recommended!!

I came here with 5 people for my friends 21st birthday, and they refused to serve her because of her vertical Id. Maybe pay your workers more to read birthdays so this doesn't happen. Won't be coming back.

We were driving along looking for somewhere to get decent take-out, and my friend suggested we pull in. The staff were VERY busy (on a Friday night), and the hostess/cashier who took my order for take-out was not so friendly. The worst part is that it took 30 minutes to get our order (she failed to mention that when I ordered), and there was no chair to sit in while I waited. It was a bit pricey, but when we got home, boy oh boy! Fresh, high-quality ingredients perfectly prepared. They have The Best cole

I would probably carry out here in the future, but not sure I'd dine in. The food was pretty good, especially the homemade soup. It was just too loud, and very busy (good for them) so service was slow. So many people have recommended we try this place out, and it just wasn't quite what I expected.

Gravitated there on a bar hop celebrating a friends birthday. Good service and ice cold beer on tap. Excellent recommendation to try the shredded beef sliders. Very sublime and tasty. I've been to this bar a couple times previously, nice crowd and always fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
