Customer Reviews

Friendly people Saturday 7-11 you bowl for 2 hours. Great prices.

Bowling, food, pool, darts, and a full bar. Best place to go in town.

My family and I love having a family night out here. The staff is super friendly and helpful! Always so nice to us all. It's definitely got an old feel to it. As with older places there are a few mechanical issues occasionally but the staff is always so prompt to address them. This place will stay a family staple for us for sure. Love it!!!! Always fun when we visit and had a blast at the VFW sponsored family bowl. Everything there feels so inviting and up beat.

Enjoy our small town bowling alley. The owners are so awesome. The food is good. Can't ask for to much more in a little town like corning!

Great food, great bar and oh ya BOWLING!

They have free bowling nights for the family and good food the kids had a blast

5 stars for being the only real bar in Corning. Brian, Olivia, and the guy cooking tonight (jan6th) were awesome. Wings were amazing margaritas delicious. Can't wait to bring the wife back for date night bowling!!

Great place to eat, bowl, play pool, and have a couple of strong delicious drinks. $12 for two hours of bowling that includes shoe rental. The new owners are awesome and the place is always clean. Not too crowded, all lanes are working and no wait times except for food orders in which they give you a pager to hold until your order is ready. Fast and friendly service.

This place is fun and the food is reasonable. People are nice and the bathroom is clean. I cannot go back because there is mold in the ceiling and ductwork which made me ill. I wish I could go back. Everyone had such a fun time! EDIT: In response to the rebuttal to my review... My health and the health of others who suffer from this genetic disorder (Biotoxin Illness, Moldy Building Syndrome, Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome) know very well where we are exposed to the molds that make us I'll. The w

This place is cool. Tucked away and inside is Chatas Churros. I got the chicken Caesar salad. Lisa was working on a new battered chicken strip. Light crunchy batter. Nice and crispy. Very good. They did a few door dash orders too. I follow them on Facebook to see daily specials.

very clean friendly bowling alley the food is very good cheeseburgers chicken strips and fries are excellent they have an arcade for the kids and a bar for the adults very nice

Very nice and clean, but every time we go here we have issues. Last year we had a birthday party here and a kid was starting fights with our birthday party kids. He was also stealing quarters and taking over the games from the kids. They refused to ask him to leave... Then last week we were there for another party and our son was learning to bowl. We asked for the bumper to be put up. Never happened. So our son accidentally threw the ball into another lane. The lady got up and yelled at my kid....I feel li

Was a little bit dirty and they took my soda before I even finished it off the table while I was in the bathroom

Good place to chill with the family or hang out with friends. They've got bowling lanes, arcade spot, a cool little bar room with pool and darts, and a food/snack bar. I suck at bowling so I only come to munch out on junk food and have a drink. Their prices are great and the vibes r cool here

Fun place to bowl and play pool, and if you plan on eating here, bring a hefty amount of money ???????

Wow, what a great time and a great junior fundraiser. Cannot wait for the next one. Great people and great fun.

This place need to be cleaned. Too many people in a small space it felt dirty it was nasty I will never ever go back in that place not following any guidelines of any health codes oh my goodness I could just imagine them stink in the field behind them counters. I'm getting sick to my stomach thinking about this place it is horrible dirty uncared for ran down.

One of the best places in town. Love the environment. Family friendly fun.

I wanted somewhere to be on my birthday. I felt completely unwelcome and was offered the New Year's special of a 6 dollar Long Island Iced Tea when I asked about birthday specials.

The people and prices are 100% amazing. Kendall and Nicole and their staff and there to serve the customers. Great place to take your family to.

Had a great time with the kids. The food was good also definitely recommend going there,

Owners and staff are very friendly. Willing to help if having problems with bowling and the food is pretty good too. The soup when they have it is home made!

The food there was awesome but for the price of the food definitely not coming here again for the food but the bowling experience was nice and they where all friendly!

Fantastic Service and fun atmosphere. I have been away from bowling for 35 + years and really appreciate the support and friendship found at Java Lanes. Jerry and his crew understand the meaning of customer Service

Great place to bowl. Everyone is like family here and everyone has so much fun. The owners are awesome people :-). I love them

Some would speculate, "Why else to stop in Corning but for Olive Pit" but I am here to say that sometimes a good bowl makes life sooo much better. Java has all it takes to succeed and with pleasant environment! Good stop from interstate one trips of the road!

Java Lanes was taken over by Kendall and Nicole Matheisen about a year or so ago from Bev and Jerry Martini, who decided to retire and take some much deserved time for themselves and family. I am happy to say that Kendall and Nicole are doing an excellent job of carrying on the tradition started by the Martini's of providing an excellent wholesome place that any member of the family can enjoy. You don't have to be a bowler to enjoy the sense of community provided by the people of Java Lanes, everyone welc

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
