HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Please do not waste your time and money at this dump. Coincidentally pretty much all ticket games are ?out of order? or turned off. The few that were opened for instance the bean bag game only had 2 beanbags and the hit the clown game only had 3 balls. 2.50-5$ PER GAME which is ridiculous for the limited options you have to play. PLEASE do not waste your time and money on any the arcades or rides in this area. EDITED: AC IS ALSO BAD

Zero stars - claw machines are so loose and expensive. Be prepared to throw away $2.25 to $5 per play! - games that give points are $2.25 and up and pay 10 points to 25 points on average. - cheapest prizes are 50 points and up. 50 points being very crappy penny candy. - we had 140 points, my daughter wanted a candy that was 150 points, I offered to pay the balance and she said no ?? Wish I would of seen the reviews prior to visiting. Don't recommend and wouldn't go back! Save your money and go to DQ a

ALL LOOKS*** Appealing from outside, a different story inside. Personally, I would not return many machines not working. We had a couple of cards with various amounts (ex. $1, $1, $.50), adding up to be able to play one more game, but they would not combine. Bathroom says out of order, and when I asked if there was another bathroom, they let me in that one. One machine said "bad sensor" when playing Overall, it is poorly managed.

Amazing! The owner is so great! He not only let us have our sons 4th birthday party there he contributed candy to the kids and gave us bonus $ on all the kids cards! This was above and beyond! They let us bring our own table and set it up the way we wanted. We made sure to clean up & the staff was so attentive to all of our needs. We have never left this place unhappy, especially this night! Thank you again!!!

Games were ok. A few broken. The reason for 2 stars is that you can play a game for $2.50, win 10 tickets and there are no prizes you can take home. All the other prizes take a lot of tickets but are really cheap. Kinda a rip off, especially for young kids who don't win a lot of tickets. Wouldn't come back.

I live right across the street from here so I decided to go I had fun playing the VR racing games. Sadly I brought a friend the next time I came and both VR systems were down as well as some others well while they did refund me, we decided to try multiplayer cup pong it charged me and didn't work. Also games that are always priced at 1$ for two plays such as the punching bag? costed I believe 2.75 for one game some games were 10$ maybe even more so I'd say both times I went I got about 3-4 games with the 20

Very fun place! Some games can be a bit pricey though.

Wayyyyy too expensive. $1-$7 PER GAME. Some games will say one price and charge another. Other games will just not work and take your money. Money down the drain ??

Good variety of games, some machines weren't working & didn't have signs on them, but other than everything was pretty neat. First time visit, & we think the ticket redeem prices were pretty decent. The girl attending the prizes counter was super friendly & even returned points to us after we accidentally dropped one & it rolled under one of the game machines

I'm giving 3 stars, the 3rd star was cause the girl working was very nice and patient. Other than that, this place was quite disappointing. There were tons of games, several just took your money and wouldn't let you play, they'd give money back but when we realized it was happening to several machines, we gave up. I hope you get your machines working properly, this place definitely has 5 star potential but not there.

???????Nice place to stop in at the island if you're at gravity park. Took my 6yo to play games. He was thrilled. There?re a tad expensive. You buy a card and load money. Games range $1-$5 a game. Some of the newer games were $5. It's your typical arcade you play, get points (tickets) and can get an overpriced prize at the end. ??????The place is clean and the staff is nice. I'd recommend and we'll likely be back again. Nearby is gravity park with Ferris wheel, go carts, & sandcastle park.

Has a lot of cool games, including VR shooters. Only downside was several games were out of order, including the big prize box.

Had a good time. Was great to get out of the heat. No public bathrooms.

Not super duper friendly, for the small island vibe. The island was empty (off season) and we got razzed about parking only being for customers when we left for 5 minutes to see the sand sculptures. That was after being there for 15 minutes spending 20$ on games as their only patron. The parking lot remained empty for the rest of the day. Parking is a policy they have, but some decorum when it clearly isn't an issue would be nice. Prices could be lower, but they are fairly consistent with market averages. C

Would give 0 stars. Spent close to $100 playing video games and at the candy store. My son, dad and I decide to walk across to Dairy queen for 20 minutes and came back to a note that we would be towed next time. There were no other cars parked and it was extremely slow. . Lady at the counter was rude. Horrible management with no common sense.

The pricing structure and tickets awarded is horrible at this arcade. My kids love arcades and we go to a lot of them when traveling and this is by far the worst location we have ever been to. Most games were around $2.50 a play and rewarded so little tickets they walked away with a piece of candy. For 2 $20 game cards I would expect more than a piece of candy. The did have a good selection of games for the arcade size and only a couple of them were not functioning.

If you value your money and time, avoid at all cost. Everything is overpriced and poorly maintained. The only attendant in the arcade was extremely rude. Our play card was defective and when we brought it up they immediately jumped to "well we don't do refunds" and "maybe you're not swiping it right" so when I asked them to show me how a professional swipes a card, guess what? They couldn't get it to work and begrudgingly exchanged the card for one that did work. On principle we didn't shop at the candy sto

Horrible experience, the cards weren't even working. The employees were really nice about it though. The place needs better games and better management.

I visit South Padre with my family every year and this new location is absolutely *awful*. There are some solid games here that I have not seen at other arcades, but the pricing per game is outrageous. One game that is playable for my 3-year old daughter cost about $2.75 per play! Several games are out of order as well. There's signs instructing you how to do everything just shy of ?breathing? lol one sign said to return the Marvel Game Cards at the help desk and the clerk would give you tickets in return,

Kids had a great time. It's expensive, as one would expect in a tourist area. They do have a good variety of new games. Some cool stuff for smaller kids. Not a huge arcade, but a decent variety of games. All done with a card. Tickets go to your card for easy redemption.

Overpriced really bad. Also gave us an issue about parking when we went to the Dairy Queen very quick. 10 dollars to only play about 2-3 games. Bad experience save your money and go to a different arcade.

this has been a go to spot for the last couple of years for our family but wow have the prices sky rocketed 3, 5 and 7$ per game per person on some games . we usually stay a hour or 2 but left within 30 min due to pricing ???? great spot fun games but to expensive

This was a great addition to the island. Place is very clean with a variety of games!

Very clean and neat place to have fun, new updated games.

Clean but not worth it. Super expensive (up to $7 for a single game) and the lady at the desk went out of her way to shout at us for not driving away immediately after exiting the arcade. It seems they care more about parking than paying customers.

This place was awesome!!! We were kinda nervous about prices, but they're not too bad. They have a variety of games as well!

I had fun with my family here. There is a good variety of games.

Prices are overpriced and games are rigged. Staff is unhelpful.

The 2 young ladies are really nice , one of them is sick but, she's really sweet . The games are expensive & it's really disappointing that they have to work on New Year?s Eve ! It's illegal.

75% of the items in the sweet shop inside had no prices (FYI: NO PRICE = NO SALE) and as for the 'arcade' part, $1.75 for pinball, $5.50 for a car race video game? I WON'T BE WASTING MY MONEY THERE.

This place is nice and they had games I hadn't seen before in Dallas. We enjoyed ourselves and won some great prizes. The candy shop was a nice touch. We got a lot of candy.

Small arcade to drop by for some quick fun.

It was nice not a huge variety. But I was able to get a single card with a 100 dollar bill we recieved a 40 dollar bonus for a 140 dollar total. It was a great way to beat the heat for a little while.. I re omens going during the hottest hours of the day and only use one card.. My family of 4 one person would swipe and pass so there was no need for multiple card and also it gave us the extra 40 dollar credit bonus.

If going to arcades is your jam, this place can be fun just BUYER BEWARE: Play the games for fun, not for tickets, as all the prizes seem to be pretty old. Their prize dispensing machine was broken so it was only prizes behind the counter. Also FYI: The pokemon cards at the prize counter are 100% FAKE!

God, I spent 10 dollars, FOR A LOLLYPOP. Like bro at HEB (a better company) you could get a whole pack. I would rate 0 stars but I got 2 rubber ducks for 1.75$, so I'll count that.

This place is clean and most games working however, the price to play is outrageous. The ticket payout is lower compared to other arcades. To do one spin on some games is 2.00 or 2.50 per 10 second play single play. Avoid unless you are desperate for something to do on the island.

Many of the games were working, but a lot were out of order. The staff was polite, but it seems like Owner/Operator doesn't really want business. A lot of signs, rules that make it seem unfriendly.

Had so much fun here! The only downside was the cost of games, some were $5 for 1 play. Still an awesome place and great attraction on the island .

Purchase a play card we got 12 dollars free good deal games are awesome some bit pricey but well worth it I think. Arcade is well maintained and I recommend going at night

I play the best games to win the most tickets.

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised when I went into this place with my son. It's the perfect size arcade and the attendants are very helpful! If you are visiting SPI and want the ultimate arcade experience come check this place out. ??

They do not allow byob or sell any inside like usually similar places do. When I visited, their only restroom was ?out of order? To add to this, they apparently blocked me from their FB page for giving them a Not Recommend and that same feedback. Not before they replied with a snide comment and the passive-aggressive :) You can see it done here in some reviews also. That speaks a lot about the management/owner and what they think of their customers

Has horrible games for the price. Costs 5 dollars to play a simple pinball machine also half of the stuff was broken DO NOT GO

There's so many rules it makes you feel like an 80s arcade again. Fun if you're older and have kids. Not fun if you aren't allergic to money.

Friendly staff. Overpriced games. The ticket payout is stingy. We spent $80 on 2 kids for about an hour. The temperature was a bit too warm for my liking and I'm used to 78?

Extremely expensive. Girl with short hair cut was rude as hell. Wouldn't let us combined left over money on our game cards. Rip off terrible experience

Very clean place with all new games, great place for children mostly. No real adult arcade games, just win tickets and a few racing machines.

I went a few weeks ago to see what they had inside and it was pretty cool inside! There's also a candy store literally right next to it. This arcade is just the addition the island needed! It's also what I've been thinking the island needed for many years!

Very rude customer sevice and candy is very overpriced. Being behind me like I was shoplifiting was the icing on the cake ??

Arcade is ok. Candy is a bit high in price with a limited selection. It's a good place to bring kids though from what I've gathered and the employees seem nice.

Family and kids had so much, they have variety of fun games. Staff and owner were very friendly.

Games are very overpriced, a lot don't work, and they don't give nearly enough tickets to get reasonable prizes. You'll spend a fortune to win a tootsie pop.

Was there about 30 minutes and between 4 people we spent $50. Wasn't crowded. There is a candy shop next to it. Enjoyed ourselves.

Updated arcade. Nice to come with family and take a break from sun.

the employee was so rude we had purchased a card 2 weeks ago and we left a balance in the card we wanted to use it again and input more money the system wasn't working and my husband needed to use the restroom she didn't let us use it because we didn't have a ?card? we let her know we do and she says that card isn't from here , we than bought a card and put a balance of $10 and we let her know if we can used the restroom now she said no it has to be a balance more the $20 , very rude lady her customer servi

Half the games were broken and most were over priced. Couldn't even earn enough tickets to get anything. Wouldn't recommend checking out.

Wanted to bring 11 year old twin boys here to blow money. Said online they close at 9. Showed up at 750. Place lit up, doors locked. No sign saying sorry closed early. Really disappointed

Great selection of games for older kids not so much younger ones. Games are quite pricey though. Worth a quick stop.

Small game room but you can still have fun while you in there drinking a iced coffee

Half the pinball machines were broken, not exaggerating.

Liz was really nice , would definitely be going back !!

A nice place for a short date, Maybe like an hour or two. The prices are a bit steep but being the island, it's typical. Other than that good spot!

Several games broken and the whole place was a bit warm. A waste of money.

Super disappointed chocolate was old and starting to discolor

Good place for kids and family, gratis icecream ?rea and games.

Such a great, cool place and something very different for South Padre Island! Games are fun and great prizes and the employees are very nice and helpful.

It's a fun place however it's employees are very rude, one of the machines was broken and we ask them to fix it, the employee that helped us was very rude and at the end the machine stole our money.

By far one of the best ways to spend your time during the day at the island!! A special shout-out to Sabrina for being amazing and helpful!

Wow. I would go back for sure

We had a good time. Games are kinda pricey but it was expected.

Loved it here, the staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. totally recommend coming with friends to have an even better experience:)

Hours online says it closes at 11pm. We showed up at 9:30 and doors were locked....apparently everywhere in this island places close whenever they want.

Games are cool, the monopoly was fun. Wish it was a little bigger. Would get old pretty quick.

Didn't like food trucks hotel not like able customer service sucks

Good games biggest problem they only have one restroom M/F.

Great place for family fun . Great arcade games . Fun atmosphere ?? definitely going back

Not super big but a fun way to spend some time with kids. Clean and light inside.

Loved it. Had a Blast with my Grand-Son

Great games but prices are a bit on the higher side.

Nice workers ,clean, great games ! Very expensive.

Nice little arcade, games are fun and enjoyable. Would come again

Large selection of games but for a hefty price.

I loved how clean it was, I accidently threw a basketball behind a machine tho ??????

Most the games don't even work, everything is like 2 dollars too.

I had wonderful time and the store own was very kind

Very nice, lots of arcade games.

The door says the close at midnight, but it was locked at 11pm.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
