Indy Karting & Amusement

Indy Karting & Amusement

Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise the fast, fun karts and friendly staff, with many highlighting the clean facility and enjoyable racing experience. However, some criticize inconsistent kart speeds, long wait times despite reservations, and technical issues with arcade games. A few mention misleading online information or unhonored time slots. While many rate it 5 stars for excitement and service, others dock points for operational hiccups, pricing, or accessibility restrictions for younger kids. The overall sentiment leans positive, but consistency in kart performance and scheduling reliability are noted pain points.

Fast and fun track!! We had a blast racing here this afternoon! Fun and friendly staff made for a great adventure on a rainy day.

I didn't know what is go karting? I went just to check it out. OMG - this place is amazing! The indoor arena has two levels! You drive your go kart from first floor to the second. I didn't realize how "heavy" the steering wheel is since I've never done this before, after the race, my hands were sore. But the experience was awesome! I would do this again!

Track itself is fun, karts are fast and enjoyable. However if you are over 6 feet tall don't bother coming, not made for tall people even for the adults. My leg hurt the entire time, it only wouldn't if I press the brake down. Half of the arcade was just broken or out of order and a waste of money. Axe throwing cool I guess. Can't say anything about their food as I did not have any. Price is also a bit ridiculous, 4 people is over 100 dollars for one race. They also do not offer refunds for issues on their

Fast cars, would be fun except they don't keep a schedule. We reserved spots online with the idea we would be done to get back for the game, giving ourselves plenty of time to get. Informed they were a little behind when we arrived. The race scheduled for 1:10 started at 2:27. That is not a little behind! If you reserve online don't expect your time you reserve. And ?they don't offer refunds. In store credit only works when you are from the area. Just a disappointing experience. They were polite the

These are the fast, & fun carts you have always wanted. Not a lot of deviation in performance between carts as happens with old 2 stroke gas powered carts. Electric is consistent and fast all the time, which means the best line on the track sets the best times. Indy Karting also allows you to wear a go-pro so you can share your fun racing experiences with others.

Classic bait and switch! For duck pin bowling, their web site clearly says $18 for 30 minutes and $25 for 60 minutes on M-F before 5pm. We were there today (Tuesday) in the early afternoon and was told the 60 minute price was $35...not the $25 as advertised...a $10 (40%) difference! Even the manager refused to give us the advertised price because the "computer does not have an option for $25, only $35 for 60 minutes" and that the web site should be changed. We even suggested some other $10 compensation,

This was a really fun experience a great place to take your family for an afternoon of fun. The food was very good and there were also other games like hatcher it throwing and video games.

Ours is a family of experienced racers, and we all give ??????. We were vacationing from Buffalo, and we went to Indy-Kart for a fun indoor activity on our only rain day. The state-of-the-art facility was very clean and the carts were new and fast! Everyone on the island had the same idea, so the staff was a bit overwhelmed, but they very friendly & accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Gray plays awesome. Very clean, very nice, very good hospitality from the guests. When we arrived, Mr. Husson was the greatest host that we could ask for we are awaiting our track now but this place is also of anything that you can ask for and I pay for the whole family

Really fun time!! We did go karts and bowing. Bowling is a little sketchy on accuracy as we didn't get a single strike lol. But go karts were so fun! I took a star away because I think there's something wrong with the steering on kart #16, it pulled left so bad towards the end, I really struggled physically to finish that race. Super fun though!!

Booked 3 races last week for each of my kids (8 & 12) but somehow it defaulted to adult. Thanks to Sophia and Dom they fixed the problem, and even bumped an adult race to put my kids on the track. Sophia also recommended the flat bread (good!).

My boys ranging from 17 to 6 all enjoyed their time here, the go carts were fun, and enjoyed some games and pizza while we were there!

If I could rate this place higher I would. The staff on 09/08/23 at 8 pm was beyond wonderful. They helped my disabled son have an AMAZING experience and drive a car for the first time and it was everything. It's a 5 hour drive from my home in Atlanta but I will be back, probably a mi imum of one time a year. I am BEYOND GRATEFUL!

We raced late in the evening with a small group and had amazing time. The crew there was great. They were focused on safety but encouraged having a good time. Thanks guys! Definitely check this place out.

Spent an impromptu birthday for my 14 year old, and it was an amazing time! We had great grandmothers, grandmothers, aunts and grandmas and they ALL had a blast watching kids race and also axe throwing! The service and hospitality was above and beyond. Every staff member working on Friday afternoon was kind and helpful. Special thanks to Dom, Manny and Kevin for the exceptional time!

My grandson wanted to go to Hilton Head Island before leaving for basic training. Indy Karting provided a great time for us while we were visiting. Highly recommend for good clean family fun.

Really expensive. $25 for7 minutes of racing, per person. We went on a thursday and it was completely dead. Youd think theyd do a "double time" deal or some special to make it affordable on their slow days.

It asked for a tip when checking out lmao! Give me a break. And it was already $29 for 7 minutes of race time. Insanely poor value. No wonder it was empty

Rude staff, I had to get my own menu when asked if they had food, then the assistant managers felt it's more important to finish their conversation before helping me no wonder this place is empty and to top it off my son fell off the Mario cart seat because the seats are broken and don't lock and the boy with the pony tail tries to tell me it doesn't lock like it's no big deal then tried to tell his GM under his breath I'm a Karen because I pointed out problems lol yall are a joke

This place is a blast! The karts are in great shape, the staff runs clean fun races and man...who knew 39 mph could seem so fast??

This place was impressive. Arcade was not large but worked to entertain our 5 year old while our 8 year old raced. Clean place and friendly young staff.

Very nice track! Can't wait to come back with a little more time to play the arcade games and maybe throw some axes!

Terrible experience. We had an online booking and walked in at our check-in time to just stand in line for 30 minutes. Our time for karting was delayed by an hour and when we tried to play the arcade games they were ?out of cards?. It was all around terrible and we weren't even able to go karting.

Went for duckpin bowling and it seemed like kiddie lanes. Price was high for value. Neither one of us could get a strike when bowling for an hour.

Indy carting in Bluffton was disappointing. For the price paid for two races I would expect the cars to be fully charged and ready to go! In each of our races cars were dying on the track and races had to stop in the middle. This messed with our scoring and ranking. The organization seemed lackadaisical. SAD., some would say.

Everything is amazing. Especially the manager Ryan Hardin. Took really good care of me

I came here with a group and we all had a blast. The indy Karting track was very fun and the cars were quite fast, thought there was a few malfunctions on some of the cars. The duck pin bowling was also a fun activity. We didn't do axe throwing but that is an option. Also tons of different options of food and a decent arcade.

I hate to leave a bad review. This location was closed the first three days of our trip, and they probably should have remained closed another day to get things in working order. We pre purchased our races and arrived 15 minutes early. Only to be told that instead of opening at noon they'd be opening at 2. Our times were not honored (2:05, 2:20, 2:40). We tried to kill time in the arcade, but many of the games were only half working. we waited a full hour past our times before requesting a refund and was t

This place was tiny!! Yes, actually there seem to be alot missing. We traveled from downtown Savannah and when we arrived we walked around then left because we felt the track and the arcade was small. The staff was nice but it level of fun didn't meet our expectations. We will revisit when you guys upgrade. Hopefully our view will change then.

Very fun I can never beat my husband in any race.

The karts are lots of fun! It's expensive per ride, which is tough for families. Be aware that 6 year olds aren't allowed to kart even if they meet height requirements. There are no double karts. The ?arcade? is small, and half the games weren't working.

Where an adult can be a kid! Friendly staff, fast karts!

Great indoor Karting kid loved it.. friendly costumes service?

My husband was so excited to find this place while we were vacationing in Hilton Head. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

If you're an adult then this could be a fun place. But for children it's a waste of time and money!!

We had so much fun here. The karts are fast and competitive! The track is well built, and requires some skill to get around. The race was several laps, which was a good amount of time on the track, and worth the cost. Just make sure to keep your foot far off the brakes while your moving, as it's a sensitive pedal and made me stall out accidentally a couple times. Eek. The arcade had a great variety of games, and the machines are all new and in excellent condition. The staff was friendly and helpful, as well

Stopped in to check it out and the kids didn't know what they were doing behind the counter and way over priced for a small in door track. I don't think they will be open much longer

Made a reservation last night at 9 pm for 1:45 for 8 people. The very "kind and respectful" people behind the counter werent able to open until 2:05, refused refund when requested, the masks were dirty, and tried to split up the group we paid 500 dollars to reserve. Terrible experience. Will never go back

This place is amazing!! The track and karts are awesome, plenty of arcade games and super fun axe throwing. To top this all off the staff is FANTASTIC!! We had a group of 8 adults and 2 kids and every single one of us walked out with smiles on our faces! I can't wait to come back!

Went this weekend and had an absolute blast! The karts are fast and the track is fun!! Just when we thought the fun was over we decided to do some axe throwing too. You can't beat all of the fun for the price. An Employee named Jack was super helpful and explained everything so that the whole group understood it. We will definitely be going back.

This place is pretty awesome, but they HAVE to figure out the user experience. That part really sucks. Between registering and booking online to the convoluted waiver process, and then standing in a 40 min line to reconfirm all the details. Plus it took three hours to get through three races. They have the racing and gaming stuff figured out. But cycling customers through efficiently? They need a UX consultant right away.

This place is awesome! Great track with new karts with an awesome staff, it's a must for your fun list! They have an arcade, real axe throwing, & an event area for any get together for a one stop shop of fun! Whether you are out of town or a local, you got to check it out! Shoutout to Jack for being such an amazing employee that always greets you with a great attitude & smile! The whole team there is great, thanks for the good times!

We came for the arcade. Half the machines would turn off due to someone hitting the outlet or some kind of power surge. If you aren't go karting- everything else is an afterthought. The popcorn machine was off at lunchtime, and I and my family were annoyed by the arcade machines. Pass.

Had a lot of fun here. Would have given 5star but for some reason they slowed the cars down on the last race!?!

The track is the main attraction, and it's great, but the arcade section was pretty lackluster

What an amazing experience. We stop coming here when it was K1 Speed.... But we decide to try again today and OMG. A soonest you walk in ( if you have in here before you will see the difference right away). The people at the front the manager the cars the game, THE FOOD WOOOW. Everything was so good. Everyone is so amazing and friendly. Please go and try for your self. You won't be disappointed. This people deserve posts like this.....btw. Aqui hablan Espa?ol. Todos los latinos vengan los van a atender de M

It was fun, but I booked an online race, and when we showed up, our time got moved back an hour and because of the walk-ins. What is the point of booking online if you are just going to get overstepped. The owner came and talked to us personally afterward and helped us resolve our issues and was very kind. And she cares about customers' issues.

It was a good time to take the grandkids. The price isn't cheap but it isn't crazy expensive either

There is great customer service great food and Brandon Jonathan and dom Wyatt provided us with the experience

They sell you things online and then tell you it's not available and then substitute something else. I believe that's illegal. The A. G. should investigate that. Also, when carts have issues or don't run correctly, they will replace the cart, but the time keeps ticking even though you're not racing. Don't waste your money to buy frustration.

Disorganized process coming in, whether it's waivers, what equipment people need, where to go, adding people to another ride. the reverse and forward switches on the karts are laggy. But also, it's the only air conditioned go carts around, so it was really cool.

I would not recommend going here. Customer service was terrible. They had two people at the register on a rainy day. The kiosk wasn't working correctly. You hardly saw anyone working. Very unclear and deceptive. It was so bad, we left before our time to race and did not get a refund. I hope this business works out its kinks.

Nice facilities with plenty to do while you wait on a race. Karts are kept up nice & fast! Arcade has different varieties of games & well maintained. Great way to spend the day away from the beach

Great place to race. Family fun and fast cars.

Had a great time for birthday party working with Colleen to reserve the party room where we celebrated the best birthday party of all time. Race track is crazy fun 2 level track, Arcade has awesome games, food was great, and staff are exceptional. We will be back again next year.

The place is fun, a little expensive, but it was a good time. Carts are electric and high-end, however they throttle them down remotely like crazy. It was hard getting up in hill on the track. Maybe do a track-day that is un-throttled? Nobody wants a cart limited to 20 mph. The carts are also inconsistent from one to the next. Some carts are faster than others.

Colleen is the bomb. She is the GM and made a bunch of grown men and women feel like little kids again when I hosted my 30th birthday party there. We had an amazing time. Everything was run as smooth as it can be, her employees knew exactly what was going on at all times, and we had a blast. I absolutely recommend giving them a try.

I am very impressed with Indy Karting and their improvement on kart quality! Indy Karting has just ordered new karts that drive way smoother and way faster than the original karts did. Definitely would recommend giving them a try. It is a very cool experience and a great hobby to pick up and get into with your friends! Thank you Indy Karting for the fun experiences!

Need more stars! This place is so much fun and the staff was beyond accommodating for our group. We planned to be there for a little while, but ended up spending the whole day between the karts, the axe throwing and the arcade.

The Karting Experience is a hit or miss. The first couple races with only a few people the karts were turned up to a faster speed and was really fun and competitive. Next few races with a lot of people were turned down and slowed down by themselves. For the price you'd expect the same quality of karts between races. I was given a free race because I had a slow kart but the free race was just as slow. It's not a consistent experience. If you want to go fast make sure to ask to wait until the next race. Staff

Went today for my son?s 13 birthday - the gentlemen working there were so helpful and made it an awesome experience for my son and his brother. ????

We are Mumbai's LARGEST, WIDEST and FASTEST Go Karting Track! Our State of the Art facility located in Wadala Mumbai boasts a 400 meter Race Track and a precision timing system which provides a fun Adrenaline fueled experience for professionals as well as amateur racers

Keep track of you session times. Of our 7min final race we lost ~1.5mins due to a bad kart that needed to be swapped out. Instead of pausing time or extended time on the track they refused to do anything even though we got 4 less laps in the final race. For how much you pay, you should get the correct amount of time especially if it is a faulty kart... Poor service, what a bummer.

This place was super fun, management was very nice

I got lapped..needless to say but I came in dead last! I sure had fun doing it though. Great place

Have been with a small group and also hosted a child's bday party - great experience every time! Super friendly and helpful staff, so much to do, good food - the entire team just wants everyone to enjoy themselves.

Cool they have an arcade?. Bummer most are broken

This place is so much better with axe throwing and new kitchen. The kids can race and play while we throw some axes around. A great place to spend time with friends and actually spend time with friends without the kids hassling us much.

Very inviting environment and a nice place to have some fun! Staff is friendly, patient and willing to help. Me and my son will be coming back.

Great customer service and friendly staff. Went the extra mile to offer a refund for a glitch when they didn't have to. The track is great, cars are fast and track ights are very cool.

Alana was a great host! Helped my party swiftly and we had a great time!! Thank you guys for the experience!

Fun for the whole family 48" and taller!!! Very nice track and FAST carts! They also have an arcade and cafe.

Such an amazing ?? place! Indy karting definitely deserves a 5 star ?? all the way! Staff was very friendly and very helpful! I had wonderful experience with my family and friends.

Very fun and fast go carts for all ages 48? and above 54? and up. Very clean facility with axe throwing and video games. Highly recommend.

Fun for the whole family! The go karts are pretty fast and the track has some good drift turns! Highly recommend!

The Go-karts are super fast, nice and fun to ride with the family. You all will have a blast while racing each other.

Colleen and her staff are great!! From the counter to the track!! And the facility is well taken care of and clean! We had a blast!!

Yeah. They fixed my problems but it still took 4 hours. We were supposed to race at 2. Our first race was at 4. Also my seatbelt on my first race did not work

Great fun, not just racing!

Very unorganized, Don't come here, had kids that were very upset when they had no mor races for them for another theee hours. Kids can't ride with adults.

Amazing staff, entire building felt clean and still new. Super fast karts and amazing experience.

Indy karting is a fun, fast paced experience that is a blast! Love the course, and really enjoyed the axe throwing too!

Definitely fun, but I'd you have a bad back or neck be careful and don't get bumped .

Fun spot, great staff. It's so slidey it's basically a kart drift track haha

Drove all the way from Charleston with my son who is exactly 48 inches tall to be told that he hast to be even taller than what they listed online to ride the go carts call me

Fun place, karts are surprisingly fast and the staff make the experience a lot of fun, would recommend!

Great spot they really worked with my sweet husband to ensure that my birthday party was flawless.! Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
