Indian Lanes

Reviews Summary

The reviews show a mixed experience at this bowling alley. Many praise recent upgrades, family-friendly atmosphere, and excellent service from staff like Mary, highlighting fun birthday parties and good prices. However, several criticize malfunctioning lanes, broken arcade games, and poor customer service, with complaints about long waits, unresponsive staff, and outdated equipment. 1/5 Stars - Disappointing Experience at Indian Lanes Bowling Alley* Took my family of eight to Indian Lanes, and it was a disaster. The young girls working the counter were extremely rude. There was a severe lack of staff, which made everything a struggle. We waited over 25 minutes just to pay and start bowling. My kids wanted slushies, but there was no one to help them. Some of us wanted to play pool, but there was no one to rent the tables. The arcades were the only thing my kids enjoyed, but even clai

Mary was my host for the night & she is very nice and welcoming. Pretty smile , positive energy & attitude. She made my first experience the best !!!!!

Our family had the best time today at Indian Lanes in Clinton. They've made unbelievable upgrades the last six months since new ownership took over. New synthetic lanes, reworked the equipment controlling the pins/lanes, new video games and pool tables, fresh paint and carpet, jump room for kids, etc. Really impressive what's been invested to turn the place around. I even overheard them saying next week they have all new rental shoes coming in. Family atmosphere great in part because they don't sell alcohol

Mary was the best host ever ! Had a great time here will highly recommend to others to come here !

The young staffs are very rude. They are not helpful at all. You ask them to do something they act ifs you are a bother.

Love this place! They have really made this place really nice! The bowling alley lanes are brand new. The adventure tumble is awesome! My sons are in it, and the coach is awesome! The new bounce houses in the back are awesome and so much fun. My kids just love it!

Mary was a great hostess? lanes and overall surrounding is a vibe? great time.!!!

Great service ! And Ms Mary was Awesome definitely will be coming back!!!

Very happy with our experience here. I like that its family friendly and they dont play inappropriate music. Staff was friendly as well, but one girl really stood out. She knows her stuff. She was running around helping everyone. Pretty sure her name is Mary. Shes awesome! Was really patient with my kids!! Thank you Indian Lanes and Mary!! We will be back!

Love it ?? great place to go play pool , have parties, and arcade.

Great place for family fun and birthday parties. Price on Sunday is $10.50 per person for 1.5 hours and includes shoes. They also have pool tables and arcade. Very nice staff.

love the updates! they're on the right track

Great place to bowl had my highest score ever at the US open champions

Had a great time with the kids. Family friendly.

My kids always have a great time.

Average bowling alley. A little hot. And very worn balls.

New owners have done SUCH a good job with this place. Bowling, jump zone for kids, and tumble lessons starting soon. Oh, and the pool tables are fresh!

The staff is very helpful.

Fun place to be no matter your age.

Wonderful and clean atmosphere , it was just all-around fun experience ..

This place is a fun cool nice place to hang out with family and friends. However They need to work on their menu and how they prepare food such as the chicken tenders I ordered they were raw on the inside??, that was a big turnoff to me. But, the place is a cool spot to hang out. I will come again and have fun, I just won't order chicken tender?????????

The staff was pretty helpful. The lanes are honestly pretty run down and they have lots of issues. But they do function. For the price, I'd probaby go elsewhere, unless you can't find any other lanes with available lanes to bowl.

Wonderful place and wonderful staff. They saved the day for my babies' birthday party today. What could have been a washed out park party became an amazing time for my two little ones and their friends. Thank you Mrs Connie. You were a God-send today!

Fun and clean place to have an exciting time. Staff is super welcoming too

Of course I do understand that this is an old place so when I entered I was impressed with the minor updates that have been made. The place was supper clean which is always a plus. The staff was very helpful and friendly even tho they had to fix our bowling lane after every turn. This is the reason for three stars....lanes really need to be updated. It took some of the fun out of the day having to wait between games because either our ball was stuck in return or our lane would not reset. Would give this pla

We had sblast for my daughter's birthday ??

We were there for a kindergarten field trip. Mr. Matthew and Miss Mary Beth were amazing! They were VERY polite and very organized. The kids had a BLAST!

The jump part of the party was fun , but most important part of the day was not captured there was no one in there to take pictures of my baby while she blew out her candles, the pizza was cold, it wasn't enough cups, spoons, plates for all of my guess! Then the staff wasn't friendly they barley noticed anything that Was going on. I did not enjoy myself at all and my daughter didn't enjoy herself either she kept telling my "mom let's go" I paid much money for her not to enjoy herself!! Highly upset

Had our son's birthday party here and had a wonderful time! They have done a lot of upgrades and everything is very nice. Friendly staff and great prices!

We had a great time celebrating my son's birthday. I would give them 5 stars except the staff was a bit lacking there was one girl that seemed to be doing everything and she was doing her best.

This is the second time I have had problems with them. I called first to tell the I was coming on Tuesday night to use the family combo for my son's birthday and if I needed to reserve it. They said no just come. When I got there (had to drive 30 minutes to get there) I was told it was a league night. On the Website the special is for Monday -Thursday. How am I to know about league night. And the assistant manager was unsympathetic to the fact that we had drove to get there and not be able to celebrate my s

They never answer the phone. Half the arcade games don't work and there was no where to jump during any visit we've made here in the last year. I'll save you the time in looking for someone who works there because its taken us a while each time we have visited and let you know that no money is given back for games that dont work.

Everything here is severely overpriced and more than half of the time your lane gets messed up. Both times i've been here lanes would be down for 10-20 minutes at a time. You pay $10.50 a person for an hour and a half and then most of the time you can't play.

It is a great family place to take the kids when the weather outside is bad, and the kids need to burn some energy. They have a bouncy room with tons of blow up bouncy houses and slides, an arcade, and a bowling alley. Plus, they've got plenty of yummy snacks and drinks that are reasonably priced. I will definitely be taking my kids there more often on rainy days. Indian Lanes also has a great birthday party package deal for the kids!

I had great time it was a treat from my niece Kamesha for my Birthday. Next time I'm in town I would visit it again.

I've been a Clinton resident for 7 years now and I've always went to spinners in Florence. Well this past Sunday I decided let me take my daughter here since we had never been and it was closer to the house . Let's just say I will be going back to spinners . This place is a joke . We went to play pool, bounce house and go to the arcade. Well when we got there the pool tables were out of order, we were told the bounce houses don't operate unless there is a party of 20 because it uses too much energy, and hal

Horrible. Showed up at nine for the cosmic bowling which is when it was supposed to start. My husband and I had been looking forward to this excitedly all day. On arrival we were told they did not have any lanes open and that it would be 30 minutes of a wait. We decided that sure since we had a groupon we had already PAID for that we would wait. An hour and a half later we were not even acknowledged and no one said a word when we finally got fed up and left. They let people who had come in after us go first

Its a fun place, very inexpensive too. The staff are friendly enough, and the arcade games are okay. The bowling is a little run-down as things get jammed fairly easily. The whole place could use a tune-up. However, still a really fun time for a small cost.

ZERO STARS! Bowled 4 frames, nothing worked, pin racking messed up CONSTANTLY. Whole place looked like trash. We demanded full refund and were refused! They kept the $16 of shoe rentals!!

Really enjoy the atmosphere here every time I go... Update needed on the pool tables!! Especially for those who still like to play... but don't do the bar scenes anymore... But still it's always an overall great experience...

Had so much fun, Decent prices but the lanes do need work kept taking a bit to get our ball back, or pins back down! they had to change our lane once or twice because our lane messed up but the employees are nice

This place is very old and has equipment malfunctions. Not as bad as they used to be but still have problems

We drove 30 min to come and bowl at 3 pm on Sunday for $5.75 for two games per person as advertised on the website. Upon arriving, we were told we wouldn't be able to bowl until 5 pm because of a tournament going on. When I asked about lanes that were not being used, the associate stated she was not allowed to put someone next to the tournament bowlers. Although I understand the tournament stipulations, I don't understand why they advertise open bowling at a certain time and then do not allow play. How

Didn't have enough bowling balls. Run out of food to serve. People was experience enough about score board. And the lane cut off and had a half hour to go into the game. I will not recommend anyone to go there. I was visiting from Charleston SC. The picture did make with website misleading.

Just don't try to bowl on league nights ??, fun place, kids love the jump zone! I wish they could get the arcade fixed up.

The staff was nice but the lane 1 needed some work. It kept getting stuck and we kept having to get them to fix it. They finally moved us over a lane but it was aggravating.

A lot of their arcade games were broken. But the staff were very friendly. And the kids had fun in the jump zone.

Staff friendly and helpful. Family and friends package is affordable for group outing. Very pleasant atmosphere

Great family friendly atmosphere, building could use some touch ups but overall had a great time, great staff , will be going again. Highly recommend for family outing!

it was fun 2 games for 5.75 per person on Sunday. however after game 2 it kept going so I asked the attendant if we were only supposed to bowl 2 games. she said oh no it's 2 games "per person" which in my mind was a total of 4 games. so my fiance and I went to put out shoes back on he bowled 1 round and the t.v. turned off and said for another game to see the front desk. I went up there and the same attendant said oh okay you want 1-10 twice? I said yes. she said that was all then. I felt I could have been

This is Clinton's local bowling alley. Great place to knock over some pins and its not far from the business and tourist areas. It is all in all a very nice place. If you're in town on a vacation and want to unwind a little more great place to do so. Fun for locals and visitors alike.

Cheap &? fun experience! Needs better management. Mary Beth was rude and wasn't a very good people person. She kinda ruined the experience for myself &? my friends. Won't be back

My family hasn't been to Indian Lanes in years but we will definitely be back. Mary Beth made our experience absolutely wonderful!

Most games in the arcade room dont work. They dont have a sign on those machines. After making a complaint I thought someone would they didn't but they did give money back. The row we was on when it was time to bowl froze up like 3 times which had to be fixed. I had to go ask for our drinks and popcorn 3 times before it was brought to us.

Fun and very nice staff! They do this thing where you get a free game on your birthday as well as some other stuff when you sign up for their deals so that's pretty cool.

Mary Beth killed it this Saturday, never seen such precision at the front counter and her reliability to keep everyone happy creates an amazing environment. Go staff team!!

Great family fun. Check their website or call before you go because they usually have great deals but only at specific times or only on certain days. They also have the ramp to help the young kids bowl. They serve small snack like candy, nachos, or popcorn.

Place is a dump lanes, don't work half the time, pool tables are ripped, most arcade games don't work. The staff couldn't care less. A waist of money want go back. Then there's the cop that sits out front who loves his badge has an attitude to people and wants to threaten tickets

Our experience here was fabulous due to our excellent service. Thanks Mary

We had fun at a good price. The staff was young but professional! I would recommend this place to everyone.

Bowled there a few times with friends. I took my boys on a Tuesday night and I'm not sure if they were employees or a group of teens bowling, but they picked at us and everything my first time bowlers did (ages 4 and 11) ,for example when my 4 year old slid his ramp to the lane, the teen/stranger approached my child before I even could! DISRESPECTFUL!! I KNOW I look like someone?s mother so I'm not sure why they felt the NEED to even approach my lanes. The horse playing in my area was my last straw and we l

My Granddaughter had her 10th birthday party there on March 4th. The kids had fun with a whole room of jumpy houses, games and of course bowling.

The staff is very nice, but the building is falling apart including the bowling lanes. We started bowling on two lanes that stopped working only to be moved to another two lanes that stopped working. We ended up getting a refund and going home.

Bowled for first time in 40 years. Enjoyed it. Except for the extremely loud music. I know...you cater to the young crowd, but it's a bit much.

Got to bowl and play pool etc. Fun spot to go with lots to do

Very clean place. Staff could have been friendlier. Could use some updating. Over all I had a good time

Really enjoyed bowling there. Very comfortable atmosphere and family friendly.

Arcade needs work! kept taking my little girls money. But other then that really good place.

Staff is very friendly, atmosphere is very family oriented so much so that our family has joined the leagues offered

Fun place to take the kids. We've held multiple birthday parties here and have had fun every time.

I recently bowled at Indian Lanes, and I have to say it was the WORST bowling alley I have ever been to. I am on a bowling team in IL and I have never seen such disgusting and destroyed lanes. Also the shoes I had to rent for $4 were torn and the slide at the front of the bowling shoe was completely scratched off and black. I do not recommend bowling here. Find somewhere else and save your $10.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT A BUSINESS.... THE SMART MOUTH WORKERS JUST PUT THE TOPPING ON THE CAKE. FIRST OFF THEY CHARGED US FOR CHILDREN THE AGE OF 1 AND 2. MY FRIEND BOUGHT A HOT DOG WAITED 30 MIN ONLY FOR THE WORKER TO TELL HER IN A SMART WAY THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON IT... 10 MIN LATER THEY CAME BACK TO TELL HER THAT THEY DONT HAVE ANY HOT DOGS AND. THAT SHE COULD GET ENOUGH CHIPS TO COVER THE PRICE. THEY WOULDNT GIVE US CHANGE TO PLAY THE GAMES AND THE CHANGE MACHINE DIDNT WORK...THAT WAS

If you're looking to step back into a broken down 70s themed bowling alley, then come on out to Indian Lanes. We care more about our arcade section than the actual bowling alley itself! You can even get a strike if you only hit 8 of the pins! Also, if you like to press reset on your bowling game then here's your chance.

I love we have our own bowling alley in town. I wish they offered pizza. The improvements are great, but still room for more polishing the look.

Fun place to take friends and family. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful, especially Marybeth and Matthew.

I love having B-day parties here! Staff is friendly and super helpful. Kids loved the "jumpy room".

I really enjoyed and so did the children. Love the new look, food, and people. I will be going back.

The time was not worth the price I had to pay. The manager followed me around the whole time from the jump zone to the party room. Not worth $237. They told me an 1:45 when it was really 1:20. Not again unless we are going to the open jump

Great place for your kids and adults they even have a game room and they have different bouncers for the kids I had a great time

Always a great time. Clean and family friendly

Very kid friendly. We had a birthday party there. A very fun place.

We had a great time! Kids had a blast bowling for the first time and when they got tired the arcade games were just the thing to pass the time.

Nice bowling alley. Popcorn, nachos and soft drinks. Crowded on weekends. The new owners have done a lot of work and really improved it.

Great atmosphere and staff was awesome!!!! The food is great too.

Lots of entertainment here, from bowling to arcade games you'll all have a lot of fun! The food is pretty good too. (:

Not worth the time. I called before coming and they should have told us they were doing repairs on the place.

Great family environment cause Fannin Lanes is overrated! Mrs. Zandra is the best!!!!!

1st visit to this bowling alley. Only problem was pin setups wasnt operating on our lane. Food, atmosphere and area was good.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
