Customer Reviews

Cute. As. Hell. Balls got stuck frequently but I'll go back. Because it's cute. As. Hell.

Such a great bowling alley. The service is great, the lanes are in good condition and we rarely have any issues with the pin setters/ball returns. We've rented the entire alley 2 times for private events and both couldn't have been any better.

We took a group of students to Idle Hour Lanes as an incentive trip. From the phone calls setting up the event to our time there was outstanding. They accommodated our availability time, had our students names entered into the scoreboard before we got there and was just overall helpful making this experience for our students fantastic. The students had such a good time, several asked if we could do this field trip again. That is high praise coming from our student population. Thank you Denise and Darrel for

We played mini golf and had the best time! Can't wait to play again. Loving the bowling alley atmosphere and will play a few games soon.

I really like this house! It's reminiscent of the old days when bowling was about talent and not reactive balls and blocked lane conditions. Very well taken care of bowling center.

Wow. The friendly atmosphere was awesome! Me and my family visited for the first time and felt like we were at home. Staff was better than at a 5 star restaurant. Even the other patrons were very hospitable. I bowled my worst game ever and had a fantastic time! Will certain recommend to ANYONE!

This bowling alley is a great asset to our community. Whether it's a league, party or fundraiser, this place is always very accommodating. Our family loves this place.

Love this hometown bowling alley. Would have giving them 5 stars if our lane didn't constantly fail making us have to wait around. They were busy and did the best they could under the circumstances.

We had our son?s birthday party at Idle Hour and were very pleased! The price was very fair and the inside is nicely updated and fresh.

Really old alley but very good service if your looking to go somewhere and have a good time with friends this is the place to go. 10 pins every frame no problems with that not a lot of bowling ball choices but most people bring there own.

If you like a classic bowling alley, this is the experience for you! Great environment and friendly people. Always fun to go here and have a great time

I have always had a good time bowling at Idle Hour Lanes. The staff is always courteous which makes for an enjoyable atmosphere.

updated bowling facility. nice experience with family. However, you should call before coming to bowl tomake sure they are open. Need to post hours of operation on door.

Loved bowling here, customer service was fantastic. I will be bowling here again.

Fun Bowling Alley. Not much for food. You have to order delivery from other restuarants. Clean restrooms. Great place to take kids for a night of bowling

It's so nice to have a bowling venue so close to home!

Love this place. Family feel. Lots of fun!

Great bowling, if you come to listen to music be prepared for the crowd though. Really crowded.

Nice little place to take the kids in the afternoon.

Great hospitality and very nice bowling alley!!

New owners put money into lanes, tables, chairs. Like the lanes, but no longer have a kitchen, so, any food that is ordered, is from Rosati's.

Fun to place to spend some time bowling and having a little snack while bowling

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
