We tried this new VR game ? and wow, what an incredible experience! From the moment we put on the headset, we were completely transported. The graphics were insanely realistic, the gameplay was smooth, and the immersion was next-level. It felt like stepping into another world! Definitely a must-try if you're into VR or just looking for something exciting and new. So, so cool ? we're still talking about it!
Laser tag is finally open ? wow, so much fun! We had an absolute blast! The arena is super cool, the vibe is exciting, and it's the perfect spot to let loose and have fun with friends or family. Definitely coming back for more!
Love this place when the laser tag is working. We've come here in past years but the laser tag was closed this time and we drove a while to get here. We tried calling but no one answers and there is no message saying what's open and closed. Some more information would be helpful so kids aren't disappointed. And then all the card machines were broken to make matters worse. We ended up leaving
Rude employees! Overpriced, not many games to play, rock wall out front is no longer used, hardly any games give tickets for prizes. Waste of time and money.
They have a nice 18-hole miniature golf course. It is simple, but winds around the area and has fun little obstacles to golf around. $9/person. Beautiful view of the sound while you golf. It would be nice if the flags marking what hole you are on weren't in the holes (like they are in golf). It made for a lot of removing and putting back of the flag since it doesn't take that long to golf a hole of miniature golf. A small sign in the rocks beside the beginning of the hole would suffice as you can clea
Wish I would have read reviews before driving here from Avon. The only part open is the arcade, in which multiple games aren't working. So $60 for 3 kids to play games for all of maybe 20 minutes. For sure not worth the drive.
Nice and cool. Lots of games. Laser Tag. Duck pin bowling. Mini golf outside. Moderately priced. Fun for everyone. A great place to stop, play, and cool off. Perfect for the entire family!
Laser tag was closed? many machines are out of order? register could not give change. It's a big beautiful looking place but that's all it was. Really disappointing.
This is a decent family fun center for the island. A good variety of games and activities. They also have ice cream and small snacks. I couldn't give it more than 2 stars for two reasons. We went in at 8:30pm and were immediately told they close in 30 minutes. We did our research and knew this but needed to be reminded as we walked in. When we approached the counter we were told we could only buy a $5 card and that we had to pay cash. A little frustrating that we couldn't buy much and that there was no card
Fun put put with amazing view on the sounds front, Very big arcade with a lot of games , Fun for the whole family
Great place to take the kids the two people that do work there were very friendly and helpful. The place is also clean
My entire family went here for an evening of laser tag and games. Facility was clean and maintained. Laser tag was fun but not as organized as say a Gatlinburg, TN facility. The arcade was so-so. The games were not plentiful and the Whack N Win game completely ripped off my 10 year old son. He had worked on hitting the jackpot of 500 several times...the jackpot got up to 507...he hit it and the machine lit up like a night sky on the 4th of July...he was so pumped to have finally gotten the jackpot. He was c
Ehh it's ok just a boat load of money. Kids had fun so it's ok.
Nana, bean and winston went load card with credit card to play all games Putt putt is out back along sound Small 4 lane bowking alley we play it was nice thought all video games Enjoyable time1
Nice place. Has some interesting games, mini-bowling, and mini-golf. It is just a touch on the pricey side but my kids liked it.
Wasn't open during expected hours. While we were there, others stopped in trying to check it out too. Looked like a cool place and would have loved to have visited. Sign on the bulletin board said "Closed for the season" ... in July?
Fun Place. I won a Lava Lamp by spending about 100 dollars in Tokens on Games and Duckpin Bowling.
Slight depression could set in if you're seeking fun and excitement here. Pretty lights just aren't enough. YMMV
Great place for kids. Everything is clean and kids loved it.
First time here and we really enjoyed it. Great place for a rainy day. We were hoping that the Putt-Putt was inside because of the rain but it's pretty cool that it's out back on the water, would be great on a not so rainy day. Lots of different skill levels of games for all ages
We had fun. Beware, our kids all burned through 80 credits ($20) in less than 10 minutes. Then we did mini golf which was $9/ person and lasted a good hour or so (with 9 people). That was fun. They have laser tag, but it was $9/ person for 10 minutes, so we skipped it.
Love this place, we stop by all the time. So much fun and best arcade around!!!
Not a single worker had a good personality or was slightly welcoming or appreciative, they all acted annoyed to be there. Bowling was down. Laser Tag sucked. I've never left a negative review before but I want other parents to know how much of a waste of money this place is. If I could give zero stars I would.
Usually love coming here but may not again. My group went in around 6:20-6:30 and paid $200 total for game credits. Facebook page says closes at 8 but we were told they were closing at 6:50. No hours posted on the building so went with what was online. Would have been okay if there was postage or we were told before paying, however, very upset that we only had about half an hour to try and spend 200 credits each and were not offered any kind of a refund. Staff left when we did which only added to the idea t
This is a clean, fun, high quality place but the hours stink (they try to kick you out before 7pm). The laser tag space is the best I've seen and has multiple levels and paths. Arcade is in great shape and has some fun games. Didn't give it 5 stars because some games are nearly impossible, and therefore short. Makes one not want to play the game. The new Space Invaders game is like that. Not worth the money because it's WAY too difficult and short. Why do you close at 7pm?? We just finished dinner and our
Good games. I am a little peeved about them having card kiosks that say cash only right next to a third party ATM.
Definitely money laundering? staff is weird and shady? cash only? only open when all sensible people would be at the beach. I don't know but something about this is weird
Laser tag was closed and limited selection of activities
Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. It's a relatively small game room but the games all were working and seemed to be in good repair. Even with a rainy day that I'm guessing made it busier than usual, there was plenty to do without having to wait much. Kids had a lot of fun with laser tag. Sure it's a bit pricy, but that's the way it is around here during vacation season. The self-serve kiosks are cash only but you can use a card at the desk so it's not really an issue.
We were excited to visit this place while in town, because my daughter wanted to try the giant rock climbing wall, visible from the road. When we went, we found that they weren't operating the rock wall attraction at all, were only accepting cash, and many of the arcade games were not working. We were disappointed.
Staff is amazing, super friendly. Good selection of games, all worth a fair amount of credits. Lazar tag course is really well done, best my family has played on, and not a far drive from the house we stayed at in Avon. Prices for everything are reasonable too.
Games very expensive, prizes are ridiculously overpriced. Staff was rude and tried to take our cards that still had over $40 of credits on them because we wanted to check how many tickets we had. Would not recommend going here as the place is run down. Bathrooms are barely functional, half the machines are down, not to mention extremely rigged. Great way to lose hundreds of dollars for dollar store prizes and a hard limit of 5 tootsie rolls per person.
Couple of games were not working but were still turned on. Facebook page states they are open until 8pm. They closed at 7. Entered at 6:20 (ish) Spent 200$ on game credits only to be kicked out with 50$ of credits remaining on a card. Not offered a refund. Would not recommend
Mini golf course is a bit neglected. Very short staffed while we were there. There were a bunch of the arcade games and laser tag out of order. Will check back later to see if quality improves.
Great place to go for indoor fun to escape the heat or occasional rain. The games are modern and clean. Keep in mind the bowling is a mini version but laser tag was a blast! Will come back on our next trip!
Terribly disappointed because their website said they opened at 11AM. But they did not. They said they might open in 20 mins. We waited. 11:20 came and went. Standing in the hot Sun waiting ?waiting?waiting- no plans to open that we could tell. With every minute passing more and more people showed. ? last count 42 people getting more and more irritated. Well after 11:30 our group of 19 left. No indication they were going to open anytime ? don't waste your vacation days! You promised fun for the whole fam
It's a great spot to get out of the sun and into some A/C. They have signs posted with their hours just before you enter. We only came across one game that we wanted to play that wasn't working, so overall it was a fun time.
We stayed nearby for the week if Memorial Day. We didn't come here until Wednesday and that was a mistake. Hwy 12 Amusements was a lot of fun. There are arcade games, prizes, etc. However, the most fun that my family had was playing laser tag. Very reasonably priced and a lot of fun. My son wanted to go back immediately! Highly recommend for a fun evening out
We've gone to many arcades over the years, and this is by far the worst one we've ever stepped foot in. Rude staff to start with. Over priced games with cheap overpriced prizes. We typically leave an arcade with arms full of stuff but walked out with a tiny bag with a few dollar store items, for over 3400 points. Great way to waste $200 in 30 min. Bathrooms could use a little attention too.
great games and decent price for the games. great way to get out of the heat or rain.
We had a great time here! The laser tag and climbing wall were so much fun, and our little ones enjoyed the games inside. The staff was very helpful and kind! We will definitely be back.
All the games in the arcade are great. We did mini golf. I would not recommend this seeing that you couldn't even do the course because they didn't even have their water pumps turned on so the river was empty. The levels are the same thing over and over. They even had roaches outside at night which didn't help.
AC was great! Games were fun. I was disappointed that bowling was removed and several games were down. Laser tag was awesome. Overall a good experience.
Very clean..Awsome place for kids to have a fun time...Very nice staff when I had a problem with my card and the tickets not showing up the Owner helped out no questions asked.... Lots of fun new games.. Great atmosphere.. Cool laser Tag set up compared to others... Will go back for sure ??
Our family had a blast here while on vacation. We played so many rounds of laser tag and even did the rock wall! We've seen this place many times during our trips to obx but this is the first year it wasn't 20 miles away so we took advantage! We're hopeful to go back for many years to come.
Our whole family had a blast here! We did bowling, played lots of games & did laser tag! This was a great place to spend a very hot day! It's cool inside, clean, lots of fun, ice cream and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful!
Decent enough arcade. Mini putt is ok. The fact that they didn't offer hand soap in the bathrooms was disgusting!! They weren't just out, there was no fixed dispenser and no other soap available. When I asked staff about it, they looked at me like it was an odd request. I'm not crazy about cleanliness, but basic hygiene is important in public places.
Nice place besides the lady that works there. She is older with long dark hair. She told us she couldn't get us any ice cream right now cuz it's too busy lol and also told my young son to hurry up because of the line. I said that line is not my problem. I'm a paying customer like everyone else . Very rude and wouldn't even get what we wanted. I won't go back .
Clean, well maintained, right next to the sound so very pretty.
Awesome place! If your looking for time to kill before your house is ready this is the place to come! So many different arcade games and the staff are so friendly and accommodating!! The life size Claw machine is a MUST!
It was awesome. Laser tag was in a huge arena with lots of cool features. The 18 hole mini golf is fun for the whole family and the rock wall has levels for non experienced and experienced climbers
Paid for 3 people to play golf with a $50 dollar bill....$27.....told she had no ones and could only give me back a $20 bill because she had no $1 bills!!!! She then gave me a $5 game card as my change!!!! We did not want to play in the arcade!!! I also didn't see any coins in her drawer either!! She also said that was the only cash register they had. I think that having no one dollar bills was a ploy to give you a game card so you would spend more money!!! The fact that they had no $1 bills was their pro
Giant claw machine was a hit with my kids....until we found out it wasn't working. Then the tears started. Very high priced arcade....& lots of machines down. Edited: I have changed my rating from 2 stars to 5. My kids had a blast on the machines that did work. My 4yr old daughter stood patiently waiting for the giant claw machine to be repaired for 30 min. She was determined to win a giant blue penguin. The repair lady offered her a free turtle so she could go play other games since it was taking
It's really fun. Haven't been to an arcade in years. 1st time Lazer tag, big fun!! Arcade games are a bit pricey.
I am responding to a review from 4 days ago that complained that a game jipped his son of winning the proper amount of tickets. I have played the same game and the light at the top that says 500 is always on when you play. It is not stating how many tickets are won, The gentleman just wasn't right about his complaint. The staff explained carefully and politely how the machine worked and they checked as they can that it was working the proper way. Hiway 12 is a great honest place for families to have a grea
Clean, plenty of options, and lots of fun! It was our first visit to Hwy 12 Amusement and we will definitely be back next year. Staff was so friendly. I just wish it stayed open past 9pm.
I've never experienced a place like this. Family of 4 100 dollars spent on play cards thinking that would last a few hours 25 minutes gone.. bowling is a joke the prizes are way over priced nobody wins anything its crazy how this place gets any business at all the Lazer tag sign says no refunds before you walk in
Very expensive in the arcade. The man working closed the Kiosk to get and reload necessary cards to play a half hour before closing and scolded me when I walked over to check my balance because I didn't know he was closing them. Then he said he could check them and combine our cards onto one card, he said his computer wasn't allowing it and wanted to keep our cards, that had balances on them, and said we couldn't take them. He finally got all the balances from 3 cards to combine onto one card. He was unfri
Fun mini golf course and great arcade games. Clean and well maintained. Only downside was the climbing wall was slick from the rain so we couldn't climb, but I'm happy to see they are safety conscious.
Very expensive, games end way too fast, games take too many tickets. The owners charged us $40 when we only wanted a $20 card. Their excuse was that, "$20 was nothing and would go too fast."
Brand new place so it is in the 'growing phase'. Great place for rainy days as well as nice as they have the mini golf and a pretty awesome rock wall. They have pretty big plans for the future and cant wait til our next year visit to see how they've grown!
We were having a great time until we saw, what we assumed to be the owner and one of the employees (after having them wait on us behind the counter), rigging one of the games to win and collect all of the tickets. Absolutely disappointed in that. We will never be back.
The only reason they have 5 stars is because they offer a card for a positive review! This place is a scam and ripoff. Top of machines say one amount then the bottom say a higher price to trick you into thinking its cheaper than what it is! Scammed my child out of 20 dollars. Easy to scam a child that way. Then manager was very rude about it. Mocked me when I brought up. Warning don't go!!!
We were the only people there and the attendant was so sweet and loved seeing our newborn , I didn't get her name but she was an exchange student from Turkey, if she sees this we wish you the best.
Three stars for an average place. The mini golf is its saving grace. Arcade selection very minimal for such a large building. Bowling was garbage, term is misleading for what it actually is. Rock climbing is very basic, laser tag arena was decent. Go for the mini golf: Clean and well kept, on the beach, not gimmicky, no moving parts and on the easier side. Worth a trip just for that, but not really otherwise.
This is an amazing place to visit if you want to take the kids out for a while. The staff is helpful and the prices are great for all the things you can do there. I would highly recommend stopping by especially if you have little kids like myself.
I would have to agree that the reviews on here were solicited to be 5-stars. We arrived at this very nice, new, large and clean building ... very impressive place. Got there at 8:30pm tonight to play mini golf. Were told the golf closed at 8pm and the arcade closed at 9pm. No biggie... the kids were bummed but got over it since we had 30 minutes to play games. However... the nice smiling person at the counter said the kiosk to purchase a redemption card for the games was closed. I said ?ok... can I buy a $2
Went there with my kids. Putt putt was fun. The only thing you have to do is take the ball and the club back inside. They do take credit and debit cards now. So no longer an all cash place. My kids had a blast and this saved us from driving an hour back to do something else. It was clean and the staff was very friendly.
Games are nice! Good family fun!
Arcade, laser tag, and mini golf....and Hershey ice cream :) Fun and clean place. And of course, ASK what their hours are or call especially if you don't plan on coming back.
Very clean, enough games to keep occupied for an hour or two, and not too expensive. The staff were nice, they let our son take his time choosing prizes. We enjoyed our time!
It's an okay place, way overrated. Don't expect the games to actually give you the tickets, some do, most don't. A lot of out of service equipment, not much play for the money spent to purchase playtime. Little kids will be happy of course, but you'll spend $120 better anywhere else.
I didn't try any of the other attractions besides the arcade and I have to say, pretty mediocre... I spent 20 bucks and it didn't go too far, most of the games are video games and are too expensive. I've definitely stretched $20 much further and had way more fun at other arcades. Wouldn't recommend unless you have nothing else to do.
We called before showing up to make sure they were open, they said they were but they might close early is it wasn't busy. They were closed when we arrived. No problem, we went the next day at 11:45 (supposed to open at 11) but they were closed. That day no one answered the phone when I tried calling. Don't waste your time with these people.
Allowed us to play Lazer tag last year with 4 people, however, would not allow us to play this year with five people... put a damper on my daughter's birthday. Also, this place is becoming run down. They tore out the bowling alley and rock climbing is never available.
They close at 9 on a Saturday night. We went there at 830 and I the kiosk to get game cards was not working. I went to the register to get one and they can't use a credit/debit card to purchase one. Okay fine, so I go to their atm to get cash. When again I tried to purchase a game card I'm told they can't sell me one because they close soon. I ask if the card is good for just the day and no it's good forever. So then why can't I buy a game card then?? My kid only wanted to play the fishing game yet I h
This place is a rip off do not go to hwy 12 amusements over priced for laser tag $9.00 per person for 10 minutes. The rock wall is $9.00 for one try. Everything is over priced!!!
Friendly, fast and clean. So much to do! Very exciting games. The laser tag course was perfect for both my husband and the kids aged 8&10!
Terrible experience for my family. I feel sorry for the staff because the owner is blatantly rude, unprofessional and just creepy. He is the type of guy you would keep a close eye on if he were around your kids; that kind of creepy. I advise anyone with small children to steer clear of this lawsuit waiting to happen.
This place is horrible. We went in at 8:40 and asked to buy game cards and were refused! Said it was "company policy." I didn't see one sign stating that! We even paid $3 ATM fee so we could have cash for the cards because they don't take credit. We had to take our two toddlers home crying and all they wanted to do was play the fishing game. We actually live here and will probably never come here ever again because of this first experience. THANKS HWY 12 AMUSEMENTS. DEFINITELY NOT AMUSED!
Fun mini arcade. Numerous broken games. Fun for a quick 30 min of activity. Also have a rock wall and mini golf but we did not partake in those on this visit.
Staff was friendly and they were able to make an adaptation so our family could do Laser tag. Game prices are a bit steep but it was fun!
We had so much fun, my husband and my 18 month old did the rock climbing wall outside. Now if you have a little one and need to change them GOOD LUCK! USE YOUR CAR! No changing tables and they keep the door wide open.
Called for an hour to check on the time they closed which seemed early. Decided to try out. Got there at 7:20 asked to play mini golf. He said no. He was closing at 8. What kind of entertainment place closes at 8 on a Friday. Meanwhile. They just let the people in front of us play.
Lots of things to do on a rainy day. I love mini golf which is located on the lot outside. I gave it a three star because I like mini golf to be a challenge. Each hole was really easy. Also it would be nice to have a trash can in the area. There was some trash around the property.
It was fun because we love arcades. The lady working was nice. But my goodness, their prices are outrageous! Save your money and support your local arcade next to your real house...
This place has the potential to be great but the management is not good. They open at 11:00 but there is no closing time. We were inside playing the games and were planning to play laser tag and all of a sudden they just closed without warning and turned the games off. I think they need new management!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
