Good movie theater. Bad layout. It looks like it was a movie theater but at the last hour someone dropped a Dave and busters on it. But the theater seats were really comfortable and soft, and can recline!

Juan and Cody are two of the managers and they have always gone above and beyond our expectations! So polite, inviting and helpful. They also seem to do an amazing job in leading their team a way managers should. They lead by example. They actually help the employees and customers. It's very refreshing. I always had a great experience with all the employees as well. Never even came close to having a complaint with the experience or food! I highly recommend!!!

Hooky Waxahachie was amazing!!! My boys had the best time. All three of them used the word ?EPIC?. The games were fun, the movie and food were outstanding! The bartender Mary personally made sure my family was happy with everything! Hooky has put in the work and it definitely shows! Can't wait to take my family back here again!!

Took the family to see the Lilo & Stitch movie tonight and was surprised to find out that the theater had been sold and is now called Hooky. Hooky theater The entire place was dirty, from my shoes sticking to the floor, to the bathroom that was just simply gross. The climate control was set way to high, I started sweating the moment I walked into game area, hoping that the actual movie theater would be colder, which it wasn't. We recently celebrated my daughter?s 10th birthday at EVO, and it was absolutely fantastic! This is our second year to do the party here and whoever the manager was on duty on Oct 26 went above and beyond. He made my daughter (who has a wheat allergy) her very own gluten free pizza as a surprise! The kids had a blast bowling and exploring the arcade with its variety of games. This was a fun place to go. You can play games, eat and watch a movie. The staff is friendly and the prices are good. I plan to go again.

Checked out after it went from evo to hooky. It has improved by a ton. Ordered pizza and it was delicious deep crust pizza. The prices on food have gotten better also. Customer service was really great, one employee helped with the door for guest. Also the whole place is getting a make over and was very clean.

Really and truly disappointed. For $16 each, this was NOT a good experience. Had a long walk to get in, and it was PITCH dark after and we had to use our lights in our phones to get to our cars. Great theater! Clean and fun atmosphere. The reclining leather seats with trays are great for comfort and accomodating your movie snacks. They also have bowling and good game selection if you want to make a day out of it. The Cafe and Bar are also great perks.

I used to enjoy going to this theater.. 10 years ago. Went recently and it was a mess. The entire floor was sticky and you could hear everyone's shoes sticking to the ground as they walked!!! They no longer have the chili for nachos, just cheese. They didn't have jalape?os, hot dogs, or hamburgers. There was alot of popcorn on the ground. The womens restrooms didnt have handsoap in them. Visiting here from Canada to see some friends, they took me here because they said it was a good place. I'm so glad they did! The customer service there is wonderful, Kailey was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure the environment was welcoming to me and was very patient with me when answering my questions. She made the already cool experience that much more amazing. I had an excellent time!

Pretty cool to have entertainment down south. I haven't been to the theatre in Waxahachie since Covid hit. Decided to catch a matinee on today and was pleasantly surprised. More than a theater. I was shocked to see such a nice gaming area and an updated bowling alley. They have a concession area as well as a bar and a restaurant. Formerly Showbiz, but went here to go bowling??, and let me tell you I will not be returning. Management was kind in trying to accommodate my family, but everything would've been fine if they had done ball???????? management. The people to the left of us had 11 balls, multiples of the same smaller sizes, and the ones to the right and further down about the same. Just feels like it is going downhill. Plus the tip thing!! We serve ourselves and then we get to answer ?one more question?. Why? Oh, so the theater can save money on labor. We enjoyed the movie - the sound & color was great. It was a bit cool inside the IMAX but better than to warm. Popcorn was good & none to take home. The floors in the IMAX needed a mopping - they were sticky. Overall it was great for us & a short drive from Ennis.

Nacho area was uncleaned and had chili and cheese left from the previous day. When i asked the employee of it was fresh she said yes only for the manager to come over and say the cheese is out and they wont have another shipment until Thursday. The drink area was not stocked and not clean! They did give me a discount which i appreciate for the inconvenience but this theater is usually better kept. It's 33 degrees outside. We purchased tickets from Angel Studios to watch Homestead. When we walked into our theater it was so cold my husband turned around to find someone. ?Everyone? who could help were in a meeting and we were told they'd let someone know. This was a weird experience for us. We went to see a movie and wanted to eat first, so we ordered some appetizer like foods, cheese curds and fried pickles, and mozzarella sticks. They game out way over fried and with no dipping sauces. I asked for some marinara and ranch and they said they were out. The theater felt cold and had the stale air of a Motel 6. They no longer offer combo deals?instead, a single-size bucket of popcorn and a drink will cost you $18. The bathroom floors were sticky, there was construction clutter in the hallways, and by 10 a.m., the trash cans were full and the napkin dispensers were empty. Movie theater was great, pop corn and drinks were good price. They only have water for those of us that cant do carbonated and no sugar. The hot food station was not great, They were very confused about the items on the menu, and never did get my order correct.

This place started out great. It is getting progressively worse. Bolwing is bolwing and you can't really mess that up. The movie theatres themselves are fine. The consessions are going down hill. I love this theater for a quick date with my hubby OR kids outting. We went to see One of them days and the theater was clean. The concession stand is pretty organized as well with nice staff. I will be back!!!

It is a very nice place. Not expensive. Their tickets are cheaper than B&B. The seats reclined and they have games and food. Most definitely will be back.

Bowling was decent $ for family of 4. The arcade area is what was really lacking. Half the games were broken and the lower ticket prizes were non existent.

Used to be a fun place to bowl. The atmosphere isnt bad but its hard to justify bowling here for the cost. The floors are so dry that if you take a reactive ball here you will not have fun. Its a shame because otherwise it could be a decent local spot.

My family and I visited to watch a movie and snack on some appetizers. The reason for my review is to commend Cody the manager and Kailey at the snack bar. They went above and beyond to make our experience extremely comfortable. Greatest customer service ever.

I'm hard of hearing and their subtitles machines do not fit the cup holders ( too loose) and apparently they only have two working machines out of the whole place. I had to watch a movie without subtitles which was incredibly disheartening. Won't be coming back until this problem is fixed.

This place is still soooo much better than the new theatre in Red Oak. The ticket prices are better, the concession is better, the staff is friendlier. We go here every few months to catch a movie, probably more often lately as there have been better movies out there lately. They have $1 hot dogs which while probably not healthy is worth it for watching a movie.

Showbiz in Waxahachie TX has done it again! They are amazing! They go above and beyond to make customers happy. Management is always so quick to handle any situation. Love this theater. Well....came in a Sunday matinee and things are not going well. Waited to order food before anyone would even acknowledge my presence for 15-20 min. No ice at the concession stands...all 4 were completely out at 12:30 in the afternoon. Understaffed today and then the movie isn't working 10 minutes past our start time. People are nice. That's why 2 stars and not 1. But this isn't a good look.

Went to see a 12:30 pm movie today 1/146/2025 when the temperature was in the 50s. We were in Theater #6 and the temperature in the theater was very cold even for my husband who was wearing a Tshirt under a long sleeve flannel shirt and a jacket. This place is awesome games bowling and movies! I could spend the entire day here. Justin took care of us and the huge TVs above the bowling lanes let us watch our favorite team lose. I highly recommend this place and will return many times.

Well movie theater is terrible today. Floors are dirty and don't look like anything was cleaned from last night. No ice in any of the soda machines. Printers are out of paper so no receipts or physical tickets. What is thought was going to be a great day off to take my daughter to the movies turned into a disappointment. Hope this is not the new norm, if it is, I will driving out of town for movies.

There was a dead animal smell coming from the air vent in theater 1. You could smell it every time the air would come on. Also they had two rat traps in plan site at the end of the long hallway by the exit doors. Also no soap in hand soap dispenser in the bathroom.

This is a fun place tucked on the backside of Waxahachi. It has arcade games, movies and bowling. I just had time for some arcade games but had a fun hour or so.

So much more than a movie theatre! Comfortable reclining theatre seats. 14 lanes of bowling with huge screens playing music videos and sports. A game room. A full bar with liquor and beer on tap if that's your poison. Seattle needs one of these.

Love the new design! The reclining seats are amazing. The concession stand is self serve, I'm sure that helps with busy times. Everything was so bright and clean. Games are typical prices with typical prizes. Perfect for myself and my 14 and 4 year old????. Only reason I didn't give a five-star is because the restroom closest to the theater was disgusting.

Love the discount Tuesday movie prices and the new rewards program. The staff keeps theaters very clean and entertainment venue is tops.

Came in on Saturday night to watch Moana 2. Usually it is a good experience but last night was awful. The young man at the food counter was doing his best but the manager was awful. I ordered tickets online to see a movie on February 14th for valentine's day. When I got to the theater they were not showing the movie they had listed on their website. Could not get my money back and just gave me this card since they ran out of vouchers. Tried calling the number but it was just information about general movie needs. Absolutely repulsive that we going to the movie now for 2 with ticket prices at a staggering $25+ along with a small popcorn, small m&ms and a soda for an additional $25. So in total $50 for a decent night out for 2 and you have to deal with trash everywhere butter machine is broke.AND RUDE workers!

It's fine when there's a big release but in the middle of the week it's terrible.
