A joyous place! A great variety of games, all of which are well taken care of or brand new in a bright, airy space. $20 for free play on everything is a steal, you can play and play without worrying about tokens or cards. Just have fun! If I lived in the area I'd be here all the time.
Great spot. It's a very cool arcade, one price of $20 for unlimited game play. Lots of choices of games from Atari, Nintendo, pinball, basketball, air hockey. Friendly staff, and parking available.
Had my son's 15 year old party here and it was awesome! It's tough to figure out what to do for a teenage boy's birthday party but this was perfect. The kids had so much fun and a handful of parents wound up staying and playing too!! The party was effortless with the staff being ready to answer any questions and ordering pizza for us. Jack was excellent! The teens enjoyed the classic games as much as the consoles. My 6 year old niece had a blast too! Recommended for young and old. Cool vibe too.
Unlimited play, unlimited time, come and go as you please for a flat entry fee of $20! What a great concept! Pinball, Skeeball, air hockey, classic & modern arcades. 70's, 80's & 90's nostalgia (Garbage Pail Kids cards, Star Wars figurines, etc) on display give this place an extra fun vibe. Comfy couches to lounge on and play single & multiplayer console games (PlayStation, Nintendo, etc). Overall it's clean, comfortable, and not too noisy. Looks like a dream location for birthday parties, and for us
Great place for kids and adults. Tons of retro games, plus a room full of new and older consoles. Also really affordable. The only downfall is limited parking
Oh my goodness what a BLAST!! All the Best vintage games, Pacman, Space invaders, endless amount of shooting games, Pinball machines, an Awesome air hockey table back room gaming with headsets .A great place for a Birthday or any party. Has picnic tables set up...just so much to do. I took my nephew and were there for hours doing every game there was!! Get this .the Best part is it's $20 per person and it's UNLIMITED playing from when it opens til closing!! You get a stamp and you can come and.go all day. G
This place was such a BLAST!!! I came here just to check it out for curiosities sake... Soooooooooooo glad I did! ?? All kinds of video games from the WAY past to the present. Ski-Ball to Pinball to Air Hockey and more... Perfect spot for a fun date night. Hope you pay them a visit, and try it out for yourself! ?? ?? ?? ?????? ?? ?? ??
We held a small birthday party for my son here and it was wonderful! The staff was incredibly helpful when we had questions before the party and during the event. The kids had a blast and no one wanted the party to end. The arcade had options for everyone at the party so everyone really enjoyed it. The option to order pizza there was so helpful and made everything run so smoothly. Really appreciate how stress free they made the whole thing! Highly recommend!
Hometown was the perfect place for my son?s 8th birthday party. We had about 12 kids come and there were plenty of games for everyone to enjoy. We had it on the weekend so it was busy, but no one had any problem playing the games they wanted to play. The parking can be tricky on the weekends since it is in part of the Winsmith Mill building but there is plenty of parking further down by Building 23. Also, I believe the shops close at 5pm, some of our guests went shopping which could be convenient. The piz
Came to Hometown Arcade hoping to have a great time with the family. At first, it seemed like a fun spot?similar to Platinum City Gaming in Taunton?where my kids could play and enjoy themselves. Unfortunately, we paid for the free play option, but my kids wanted to leave after just 10 minutes. A lot of the games were really old and didn't hold their attention. We were disappointed and had expected a better experience.
I try to come here once every two weeks. I usually come late with my wife around 8 or 9pm on weekends to play DDR or pinball. Guy with the long hair is super cool and helpful. When it wasn't busy, he helped fix and set up the guitar hero (clone hero) and played a round with me when it was near closing time. That moment, I forgot that I was a 31 year old man with responsibilities and a job. I felt like I was 15 years old again, throwing my backpack on the ground after school, and playing guitar hero with fr
We had a party here on a Friday night at 5pm and it was fantastic! We had a large age range from 3-11 (as well as adults) and everyone was having a good time. Our favorites happened to be the Killer Queen arcade and air hockey. The staff even went above and beyond when my younger kids were having a hard time--walking them over and helping them "win" something from the crane machine. Ordering pizza was a breeze-we did it when we walked in and it was nice to be able to bring other food in with us as well. Tha
One of the best places for the value, $20 unlimited games for hours? That is unbeatable??????
Refreshing to see there are still places out there that care about their customer experience as well as providing a solid value. I have 2 young ones and going to the arcade usually costs me a fortune. They're too young to last more than a minute on any game and at other places are constantly feeding them money. At 20 bucks unlimited, they were able to play as much as they wanted and I was able to relax and play some too. Drinks and snacks were priced right. All the machines worked, staff was attentive and
Hometown Arcade is hands down the best arcade! The owner/staff are the sweetest and most of all passionate and take pride for what they do when running this place. Secondly, this place is nice and clean and has such a cool vibe to it! We had our 11 and 6 year old boys bday party and it was a hit! So much stuff for everyone to do. The parents even enjoyed themselves. The staff helped out with running the birthday party which made it much easier on us. You won't regret visiting this arcade! :)
I love this place! For $20 you get unlimited arcade play, which includes many classic games, a dozen or more modern pinball machines, some physical games like Skee-ball, and a separate room filled with TVs, video game consoles, and couches. My kids and I always have a great time.
Amazing place, welcoming atmosphere, the pricing is great and I love that you get to play for the whole day, super fun and addictive pinball
We had my daughter?s birthday party at Hometown Arcade. The kids had a blast, and for us parents it was extremely easy and low-stress. Matt was so kind and helpful- he even provided a sparkler for the cake! In addition to providing a stellar party experience, the arcade itself is just great. So many games, such fun decor- it's clear that the folks running it are paying attention to detail and really striving to give everyone a fun time.
Super fun place to experience "the good old days" with the kids. At $20 per person to play as much as you want might be one of the biggest bargains out there. They have most of the classics covered plus the modern consoles in the back of the space. My only con is that when this place gets remotely busy, space is tight. Probably best to avoid during school vacation weeks because it seems to be the spot!
Not sure where to start... But hometown arcade is it's an absolute hit.? Had a birthday party for my son and the owners went above and beyond for everything that we needed.? The pizza is ordered locally and just tell them the approximate time that you want it.? You can bring a cooler with ice for your drinks. They'll give you the paper plates and napkins. Obviously hometown arcade is not simply for birthday parties. This is a gamer's Paradise. Any system you can think of.. they have it.? Feel free to hop o
Large variety of classic and current arcade games, pinball, air hockey, foosball, retro and current game consoles, and now a snack bar. Great all day pricing. And we've been to some kid's Birthday parties that have been great too.
Cool idea but most systems are beat up since there's a ton of little kids running wild and unsupervised banging on them. Kids aged 6-10 would have a blast here?older than that, not so much. I wish there was a limit to how many people could be in there at one time as there were multiple games we never even got to try. Most gun games didn't shoot properly, and driving games didn't steer properly. Lots of joysticks and buttons on machines don't work right either. I politely asked owner for a refund since mach
First off lemme say this is the best arcade I've been to in my whole life by far.. Dan and Bianca are awesome and super helpful they've got all the vintage arcade machines im talkin SF2 MK NBA jam all of em. And the back room has got all the systems from Atari to ps5 and everything in between. If you're a gamer in any way you will love this place. Pay admission and all the games inside are free? it's unbeatable 100%
This place is always a gem. My daughters 6 and 10 love going with each other and friends. The staff is always top notch.
I can tell this place is someone?s dream/livelihood This place is awesome so many retro games and a back room so full of screens and new games with consoles great for large groups, children, and if you just want the chance to play some new games ex Luigi mansion. The place is also very accommodating to children has lots of steps stools for kids to play the games and this place also has charging stations if only I lived closer I'd be here every weekend
I've been to arcades since I was young it was my favorite place to go still is. Out of all the arcades I've been too new and old this was the best they got retro games for the old school arcade gamers like me and they have new games for the young crowd and there pinball selection is off the charts. When I go to the arcade again there will only be one choice for me Hometown Arcade in Norwood worth every penny I spent and everyone treats you good impossible to not leave with a smile ??.
A lot of different old school arcade games, pinball machines, air hockey tables and game consoles. It can get crowded when there are birthday parties. Nonetheless, the kids had fun there
Always a great time here! Super clean, SO many great games old and new. The staff is excellent-extremely kind and helpful. I would give it 10 stars if I could!
Clean, bright and so much fun! $20 pp and all games are on ?free play?- they have 3 Skeeballs, 2 Bball Shootouts, tons of video games (incl Frogger, PacMan, Millipede, Donkey Kong, Mario, Golden Tee, NBA Jam, Streetfighter), about 10 pinball machines, air hockey, bubble hockey, fuse ball, and a bunch of video game systems set up with big TVs and couches/chairs. They had snacks for sale, and it looked like you could order pizza too. The owner was there cleaning up, troubleshooting and assisting with birthd
This is such a cute little place. They have a ton of arcade style games like pinball machines, air hockey, retro style games, and skee ball. In addition, they also have big comfy couches with large tvs that have every console you can think of. You pay 1 flat rate and can play as long as you want. We went on a double date and had a ton of fun!
Great arcade for all u can play for 20. Very friendly an great staff love all the classic arcade games an the pinball. Love the new jurassic pinball will return when I can
A dightful full scale arcade with pinball (including Stern) and classic video games. The kids party area is really well Designed and I'd be happy to recommend this place for parents looking for somewhere to hold a kids party. The main arcade area is great for everyone and is well maintained and comfortable. Thanks folks!
Sometimes my friends from High School and I come on down here and act like were still in school playing some of the retro games they have there that we all grew up loving. Old fashioned, vintage arcade with games like Pac-Man, Mario Bros and a whole line of Pinball Machines and right next to an antique mall too if that's your thing. Great way to kill a Saturday (or any day of the week really) Great people, even greater time!
My teenage kids absolutely love this place. We go whenever we visit their grandma. They are always saying they wish there was an arcade just like this near where we live, but alas we are far away and the Hometown Arcade is truly a unique place.
Amazing I had so much fun for only 20 dollors best deal I have ever seen in my life very cute and fun date place or to hangout with the group
sooo much fun. had my daughters 14th bday here and all her friends had a blast. we even got to bring in our own food which was so nice not to be stuck with a pizza party!
This is a gem of an arcade. There is a massive row of great pinball machines to pick from, ski ball and air hockey for the kiddos, an assortment of amazing 80?s-90?s arcades, and several console stations set up in the back room.
Love taking my son here. You can't beat the price. It's a perfect winter activity and a great place to stay cool in the summer.
What a fabulous concept for us old folks that grew up with the old arcade games in the 80?s! Loved it and will be back for more!
I had a really fun afternoon here with a group. There's a great selection of games, and everything is well maintained. As a bonus, the restrooms were very clean, and I saw an employee walking around wiping down the games/controllers. Considering the hands on nature of the games, it was great to see the effort to keep things clean.
A really special place. 20$ flat fee and you can play all day. They have a mix of old school games, and new. The staff I've met have been very attentive and kind.
Oh it's just the best! I play my pinball league here and I love the lineup of games! Very cool well lit environment with nice high ceilings. I like the door fee versus making the games pay to play, it's fun to just play any game I feel! So many great options that I don't find elsewhere! Lovely place! I always have a blast here.
Our whole family always have a phenomenal time at Hometown Arcade. The old school arcade games are just the best and I love that you can play as much as you want for one price when you are there. Just an awesome time.
Pretty awesome experience, great place to bring the kids.. wish they would have a 21+ time on weekends and open up that snack bar a bit though!
Such a fun place for entire family! My boys absolutely loved it ! We took grandpa with us and everyone had a great time !
Had a lot of old games but it felt like too small a space to have that many. They have newer games with consoles in the room in the back. Was very crowded when I went on a Friday morning.
Perfect for my son's birthday party. Something for everyone, parents and kids had fun. Great family out option. Affordable.
This arcade was a lot of fun. It combines old video games and new, has air hockey, and pinball games. With a bracelet, we found some of the games didn't work. Not sure if you needed coins or they just weren't working correctly. Fun place for a birthday party.
Great arcade. Pinball selection is fantastic. The retro video games however are a mixed bag for the purist ( controls, screens, condition). Kids will love it however. (Edit: I was asked about which controls and screens, etc. - Off the top of my head Tron comes to mind. Wrong spinner and wrong stick. I think Burgertime had an LCD. There were lots of LCD screens. Again, this is less of a direct criticism and more of a heads up for purists. A comparison point would be Free Play Worcester or Funspot).
Fun place! I just went here for the first time, they had so many games, it ranged new games on consoles to classic oldies. The worker was super welcoming and friendly. Only $20 to enter and you can stay for however long you want, I was there for a good 2 hours! Would?ve stayed longer too. Definitely recommend, it's fun.
The staff there is great! They cater to young kids and their seemingly strange requests.
As long as you stand against the back wall and float 5-10 feet up in the air, you won't suffer heat exhaustion here.
Pinball machines was worth the trip. We are 55 plus crowd that played video games from the beginning of time, so being able to find an arcade that has nostalgic games and pinball was cool. You pay $20 and come and go as much as you want for the day. Played so much that my arms and wrists was sore the next day. They have drinks to buy and a few snacks, so eat first if that's your thing. Too bad the place isn't bigger with even more is my only complaint lol.
Dan and Bianca are awesome people!! :) Came here after dinner on a weekday for a date night and it was an incredible time! Definitely will be retuning on a weekend day to experience it all! Mind was blown with this place. This place is fun for anyone, any age! 10/10 recommend
Went for the first time yesterday with my son and his friend, it was a blast, as a Gen Xer great selection of arcade cabinets, though no Tempest grrr LOL but it really had a great selection. the back room was fantastic it had every modern console and loved the the CRT's that had an Atari 2600 and an NES hooked up, Just fantastic. we had a lot of fun. Highly recommend.
Love this place. Great games. Guy who works there is super nice. Yummy food cart outside. Great place to go with the whole family.
Great place for a birthday party. Has lots of older retro games for adults as well.
We recently visited the Hometown Arcade in Norwood, on Father's Day, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! This arcade is a perfect blend of nostalgia and modern entertainment, offering a wide variety of both classic arcade games and the newer video game systems, like Nintendo, Xbox, and PlayStation. The kids loved the newer games, while we parents were thrilled to find all our old favorites from childhood. It's rare to find a place that caters to all generations so seamlessly. The staff at Homet
Our family of 4 (2 adults + an almost 6 and 4 year olds) had a lot of fun checking out the arcade today. I loved introducing my kids to pinball there - quite a few kid-friendly pins like Toy Story 4, Jurassic Park & Ghost Busters. There were tons of stools and small step stools to help our littles play the games. We had so much fun with the air hockey tables and skee ball. We wrapped up our time there with the claw machine (an extra $3 for a guaranteed prize). My daughter was trying so hard to get a particu
I bought a brand new Global VR EA Golf machince years and years ago. Well things get old and I had some renovations ongoing. The cabinet was shutdown and sat for a couple years. We reached out to several places to have our machine brought back healthy. Matt from HOMETOWN Arcade was one of the only people to get back to my wife and I. Matt and Sameer came picked up the cabinet and borught it back to MINT condition and the communication was outstanding and Sameer and his father coming to our house to twe
Fun for ALL ages - perfect place for your next family meet up. Share nostalgia and stories of your old school favorites in the front room. Order a pizza and relax in the backroom. Then explore new games on the modern consoles while sinking into the comfy couches. Such a great deal for a day of fun.
Everybody had a wonderful time. The kids really enjoyed themselves!
Great collection of iconic 80s arcade games, plus fun row of newer pinball machines - all with good flipper action. Plus couches and gaming area with various gaming consoles and bday party area - if you like 80s arcade, it's a must-see!
We had my son's 7th birthday party and the kids had an awesome time! The party space is comfortable and quieter, which was great for the parents who stayed. The staff was great and made sure we had everything we needed - they even dropped off a gift that was left behind at our house. Incredible! We will definitely be back.
Great place for a birthday get together when the kids are too big for trampoline parks
Great concept with a slew of brand new pinball machines (these are expensive) but unless youre a local, at no point will it be worth $20 for a day. To top it off, the only workers are children with absolutely no real life experience, so even trying to give 5-10$ to play for an hour was out. Pretty bad experience overall considering my options were to shell out $20 or leave. Pretty yikes... Please don't blatantly lie, this is the internet, not a round table with no fact checking. Every free play in new eng
Great collection of retro arcade games including all of the late 70s/early 80s must haves from Atari, Nintendo, and Sega. Huge collection of modern and vintage consoles, and my soft spot and a must for anything to be called an 'arcade' - a full row of pinball machines!
Very retro, so many games to play and worth the bus travel from my place. Will go again when I can.
Phenomenal experience! Such a great selection of games that you can sink hours into and feel as if you're back in the arcades, super friendly staff and immaculate vibes throughout! Would highly recommend!
Best arcade I've ever been to, there is all kind of games. There is retro games, sport games, music games and modren like ps5, vr, .Xbox, Nintendo and more There is also a bar but I didn't try it. The price us 20$ per person and you play for free with no time limit.
This place is awesome! As a parent of two, it was everything we needed for a very reasonable price ($20 unlimited play!) Easy parking, friendly staff, places to sit (clutch for us parents), awesome retro games, and clean bathrooms. Everyone got to play, there were no tears about not winning enough tickets for prizes, and even the claw machine keeps going until you win, it does not get any better! There are screen and non-screen options and you can bring your own food. They even offered to order us a pizza -
Awesome throwback arcade with tons of old school games and new gaming systems too!
Our first time there and it was well worth it. We will be back. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Some of the machines were newer than I expected. The older games were just as I remembered them from 30 to 40 years ago. Asteroids, Millipedes, Donkey Kong and more.
Super fun place in a cool converted industrial building with other shops. $20 to play all games, all day. They have a bunch of pinball machines, lots of old school kiosk games like pacman, tetris, space invaders, and some physical ganes like basketball and air hockey. My son loved the driving games. They also have a room in the back with video game consoles and side by side screens. They have picnic tables and loungy sofas for hanging out as well. We spent 2 hours there... two grownups and a 6th grade kid.
As a dude who loves playing retro games, this is the prefect place to simply have fun! And it was such a blast. I've always loved playing old games and playing them in real life rather than emulating a game us very cool! I would really love to go to it next time! Definitely recommend going here!
This place is fantastic. It blends the feel of an old school arcade with vintage games and pinball, with modern stuff for the kiddos like VR and modern consoles. Great owner too.
A great experience to spend an afternoon, especially when it is hot outside. Pros: - Great games, with amazing classics - Awesome music - Good collection of snacks and drinks Some minor cons : - Music was way too loud for the space when we first got there, but it was reduced later in the afternoon - At least 4 of the arcade cabinets were "out of order", as well as the bigger air hockey table. - Some of the pinball machines clearly needed maintenance, with bumpers that didn't work - Floors are uneven in pl
Most fun I've had in years. Have wanted an actually good arcade near me since I was a kid. Now my wish has been granted. Super nice staff, great game selection, fun atmosphere. Would recommend
Definitely will be going back! I am not even from the same state. My family agreed to make the 2.5hr drive to have some family fun! With over 70 games and old school candy, it will take you back to your childhood. A Gen X must!
Excellent addition to the entertainment scene! Locally owned, this retro arcade is reasonably priced ($20 pp) for unlimited games in a cool industrial chic space that makes it easy to watch your kids while you play. It has snacks + drinks for sale or you can bring your own food to enjoy at the picnic style tables in the back room. Another added perk for me as a parent is that there are no tickets to accumulate or prizes to pick, so you can just enjoy your time. There are also fun yard games like corn hole
I will definitely come back. Pay the entry fee for the day, and play pinball or video games until your brain is fried. They have snacks and will order pizza for you. You may bring your own food and drinks. It was a very fun place to meet up with friends. Party space is available too.
This place is great!! Came here with a large group for holiday celebration, it really is for all ages. Great classic games and not to mention incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommend for family or group fun
Hometown Arcade is a great place to spend an afternoon with the kids or a night with friends. There is something fun for everyone to do! All the machines are in good shape, the place is clean, the decor is fun and the staff are very nice.
Retro gaming done right! The selection of games spans my favorites across decades. My three boys enjoy the old game experience, pinball and also the ?mini living rooms? setup in the back where all the modern consoles are setup with comfy couches, controllers and huge stack of games. It is a great value with a fixed price admission that gives you access to unlimited play on all games.
This arcade was awesome! It had so many old school video games and a bunch of pinball machines. This place is only twenty dollars for you to play as long as you want for the day. It was so much fun going here with my family, we had a blast.
All you can play. What else can you say. The kids love it and so do I.
Hosted my son?s 7th birthday party here and the kids LOVED it. The party attendant was super helpful and the pizza was yummy (they order for you!) I'd definitely recommend them and I know we'll be back!
I was very impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and selection of games to enjoy. With arcade cabinets, pinball and consoles to freely enjoy, there's something for everybody to have fun with. Definitely recommended as a place to spend an afternoon!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
