802 Boardwalk
Ocean City, New Jersey 08226
I really want to know ow if they got their games from In The Swing in north jersey after it had closed, really reminds me of my childhood playing at their arcade! A joy to relive some games with my little one.
An eclectic mix of old school and new arcade games. Plenty of racing games, pinball, basketball shooters, skeeball, shooter games, air hockey and even some pool tables. It's just like the arcades I grew up on in the mid 90s. It takes QUARTERS. Too many arcades these days force you to buy a player card to play their games so this is a HUGE bonus. Located right next to some nice bathrooms as well.
We were met with a gentleman who helped us with quarters. This arcade was clean and had a friendly atmosphere. We came to Ocean City on an extremely hot day and this place was a welcome relief from the heat!
Very nice selection of video games, pinball, pool, skee ball etc
I've been coming to the boardwalk for 25 plus years now and this place is sliding down. The games are WAY overpriced, no AC or real cooling options, games are older and not maintained well. Some games are on but no way to play because of all the duct tape on them. I do not recommend going here with so many better places within short walking distances.
Prices went up this summer and the games are old and worn out. All the pin ball games are broke or steal your money. 75 cents for ski ball is nuts. Everywhere else is 25 cents. Money doesn't last long here. A shame.
What I love is the variety of games. They have plenty for small children to adults to enjoy. Games are priced about average. Got modern and retro games plus a couple rides for small kids. Really enjoy going here!
Decent arcade with a mix of old and new machines. The problem being the pinball machines which never seem to get necessary repairs, never are added to from the current six (for years now), and all have major issues that go unrepaired.
Always my son's favorite stop on Ocean City Boardwalk :-)
Best arcade on the boardwalk. The owners are super customer focused so stop by.
This is such a throw back arcade. Bring your rolls of quarters! They have newer games, pool tables, basketball hoops and claw games. But the best part is the old pac man, Mario brothers, duck hunt and several more from the 80s and 90s. So much fun, definitely fun for the kids but also the parents.
When I entered the shop and played 3 of the 'play until you win' games that give you prizes, I found that 2 of them only let you play once and stopped operating, and the third took my quarters and didn't turn on at all. When I attempted to find a staff member to tell them about the malfunctioning machines, there were none to be found. I promptly exited after 2 minutes of searching. This place has poor service and broken merchandise, and the only reason I give it 3 stars is because I can see the appeal to th
Excellent old school style arcade with a few hard to find machines. Only thing it's missing is some classic racers, the F&F ones are quarter munchers that rubber band. You can spend a lot of time here for sure.
Hollywood arcade is amazing! The games awesome and they have a ton of older games to! The price is the best because each game is about 25-100 cents. Only wish they didn't close so early!
My 3 littles had so much fun playing the 2$ play till u win claw games...??? It was worth the smiles and memories.. I love playing Broad walk arcades and seeing u guys have games for 5 and under was awesome!! Maybe going forward for updating adding ticket machines and a prise station.. Thank you...
Not a huge arcade so it loses a star for that. However, it is one of the only arcades in all of OCNJ to have updated games. They have the larger than life, massive space Invaders, the new TMNT game (my kids love it and so do I), and various other new games. It's also a large open space so it doesn't get overheated. Lastly, it's connected to a carnival ride spot...so you have options when your kids get restless.
Pretty solid vintage games. They have more games than Jilly's (though Jilly's has more pinball). They also have some mini rides for kids under 2. Vintage games are .50 per game. Other games are $1.00.
Your typical arcade with a few standout machines you won't find elsewhere. Everything is a minimum of $.50, many $1, which seems to be par for the course. If some were .25 a game, those machines would rake in the quarters. I know I would have put a lot more time and money into a few of them if I could get a little more for my money.
This place is awesome. The games are fun and the staff and super helpful. it's pretty loud and sometimes sticky but that's the fun of an arcade. I would highly suggest you check it out.
Super cool place with tons of games to play, young and old. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. It was also January and 6pm, so nobody was around.
Always fun! Classic games and they have pool tables. They also have an old shuffle board style bowling simulator.
Best arcade on the boardwalk. Gillians has few newer, more modern games but overall Hollywood is the place to go. 4 pool tables is also a plus!
Compared to other arcades on the boardwalk this place is subpar I came here only because it was getting late and it was by my car.hotter than hell in there and it was a cool night. Over priced on things like pinball and speedball and not alt of options
Games are worn out and the prices are higher than others on the boardwalk. Needs some major updates.
This is one of the better arcades in ocean city. Has a lot of games. I love playing the punching game as well as the Simpsons game. It's a god time.
Nice place to go play some games and have a good time! If you've got yourself a pocket full of quarters, head down to the arcade!
I really enjoy going to this arcade because they have old games and newer games and they have pool tables in the back and is a really clean kept environment.
Open all season I think and what a great place to spend a few bucks shooting pool in the back or catching a few air hockey games and letting it all out on some arcade classics.
Cute little arcade with games and pool. All of the change machines were down except one, but that wasn't an issue. Also, the games are priced well.
They have the most awesomest old school games in the world
A small arcade located right on the boardwalk. Some cabinets needed repair though (faulty screens, buttons not working). Otherwise not bad.
It was my first time here with a group of friends and I had a great time they had alot of games from my childhood that brought back memories I'd go here again
Small arcade but served it's purpose for my nephew and I. We were competitive with the air hockey and basketball hoops in the back of the arcade.
When I was little we went there. Since like July 2005, I must've started off with the Bert and Ernie Fire Truck, my favorite ride of all time.
Its a nice little place. Has a few great classics. Some awesome claw games
Good ol? racist stereotyping on full display on the side of the photo booth. Needs a 21st century update.
They have a MAME Box with a awesome selection of games, in top of many other newer and classic arcade games and pool tables.
They have four pool tables and they are in pretty good shape.
Had lots of great games.
My friends played an entire stage of Time Crisis 4. They had a lot of fun and it was fun to watch.
Old school arcade games at reasonable modern day prices including skeeball, air hockey, pool, Turtles in Time, pinball consoles, wack-a-gator, etc., etc.
Perfect if you want to have your money eaten by almost every game.
Absolutely love this place! All my favorite classic arcade cabinets are here.
Great place for old school beat em ups, not for newer games though, I recommend going just for the beat em ups
It is pretty good but 7th street beach arcade is better. (Update: I go here now because 7th street beach arcade closed.)
Fun little arcade with some retro games but no tickets even from the skeeball.
Good variety of kid and adult games and reasonably priced.
Dirty, old, and way overpriced (50 cents for PanMan?) Broken games with no refund offered...much better arcades on the boardwalk
Lots of fun. Everything was clean and working well. Lots of games for different ages.
Quarter arcade, love the pinball selection!
Love this place...me and my kids go every year on vacation....
games are 25-50% more expensive than Jilly's and eat way more quarters
great classic arcades reminds me of my childhood. with 50c classic games
Great selection or video games and pinball.
Pricey but there's not many of these anymore.
Stinyk, smelly sour so yumm!!!
Most fun ever! Great memories here!
Good selection of games and pool tables
Kids had fun, staff was great.
Was fun but could jave more prizes
A lot to do their very fun for the family
Has a nice space in the back to play pool.
One of the good things ocean city has to offer
Great place! Amazing customer service!
Good games and they change them.
it's 2024, you don't take card???????
Old school games, nice atmosphere.
We like to play pool here
Busy but lots of fun
Great place very clean
Was ok cooler than boardwalk today!
Not too far from most shore points
Who doesn't love a boardwalk arcade?
Classic video games and emulators to revisit the classics
Has guitar hero arcade.
Old games but cheap.
Typical arcade lots of games
Old school arcade. Good for what it is.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
