High 5 Lakeway

High 5 Lakeway

Reviews Summary

High 5 Lakeway receives mostly positive feedback for its family-friendly entertainment, offering bowling, laser tag, arcade games, and axe throwing. Many praise the attentive staff, clean facilities, and surprisingly good food (especially boneless wings and nachos). However, some criticize inconsistent service, misleading promotions, and high prices. Negative experiences often involve poor management, unfulfilled promises (like New Year's events), and arcade game issues. While most visitors enjoy the venue for parties and casual fun, serious bowlers may find it lacking. Overall, it's a popular spot for group outings but has room for improvement in reliability and value.

My good friend invited me to a SXSW volunteer event. It was so much fun and there were so many games to play this place is so spacious and great for big events. Arcade games, blowing and so much more. I can't wait to go back and take my kids they will loved it. Plus try the laser tag with them. Customer service all over was very helpful and nice. It's a great place for the entire family. From drinks, food and games??

I would compare this to an upscale Chuck E Cheese but for adults to play as well. They have bowling, and adult beverages. At the same time they have fun arcade games for kids and virtual reality rides/experiences. I had fun playing the kids? games! I attended a phenomenal birthday party at High 5 Lakeway as well. I definitely recommend it for throwing events! Today I had to update my review! We played the laser tag, my daughter enjoyed the Virtual Reality, I finally tried their food. It was surprisingly t

Outstanding Customer Service from Ariana! I cannot say enough good things about the exceptional service Ariana provided! She went above and beyond to accommodate us in a way that another worker claimed was impossible. Without hesitation, she took the initiative to move a table to our preferred spot in the lane we were in and even gathered chairs for us?all without any assistance. Her dedication, problem-solving skills, and willingness to go the extra mile made our experience truly memorable. Ariana?s work

Went with my dad on Father?s Day and got him a couple beers with the $3 special, which totaled $9. I forgot to close out my tab, and later that day I saw a charge for $76.68. I called to ask about it, and they said they would resolve it and give me a call back. That never happened. Thanks for the great Father?s Day gift.

Had a great time at High 5 Lakeway with my 3 kids today for spring break? Excellent customer service from manager Kaleb who made our experience great. Our server at the restaurant was wonderful?the food was the best? whatever dough they use for the pizza is delish! Even the basic chips and salsa have so much flavor with great salsa. Bartender making my Moscow mule did an awesome job?tastier than any cocktail in Lakeway. Enjoyed laser tag with my kids. Again an incredibly nice employee helping us out to pl

We had a great experience throwing a birthday party here with bowling, laser tag, and arcade games. Our designated employee helper person was extremely attentive and effective. Very reasonable prices as well. Thank you for everything!

This place is great to bring friends and family to. it's got entertainment for birthdays, kids, entire families, & fun dates. tasty food and a full bar. upstairs is a bit more exclusive. full bar bowling. There's axe throwing and many fun video games. Great for private parties & a laser tag room to add to this entertainment. Cat is excellent with reservations.

For an establishment that is open until 11pm it is honestly ridiculous that we cannot do axe throwing or laser tag, which would take a max 30 minutes per activity, past 5pm. I'm not sure if the manager of the estaishment was just over our presence or if they were anti LGBT but it is beyond me, why they would not let us spend more money, to play more games, in their establishment. We didn't even get to speak with a manager because they couldn't be bothered with our group, as I said again, we had already spen

Did a privet birthday party there and it was great. My kid loved the bowling and laser tag. The young lady Ana I believe was absolutely amazing with the kids and made the event effortless. My family and our guest loved the event there and was told that there are some adult friendly events that happen on the 2nd floor which I did not go see.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at High 5 and was simply amazed with the food! The dishes were incredibly flavorful and I was blown away by the quality of the ingredients used. Not only that, but the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I would highly recommend High 5 for those looking for a great place to dine and play.

Very friendly staff; however the service fell short the entire time. It was relatively not busy at 1130am. We had a party of 6 celebrating a birthday. - They kept forgetting to bring out the cake we brought. - The fries we ordered took 45 minutes ( we had to track down the location of the fries because no one knew where they were). - we arrived at our designated time to play laser tag but were told that there was a mix up with the times and we were asked to come back in an hour. - the bartender kept leavin

Bowling and arcade games, what's not yo love!?! We ordered food that arrived 15 minutes before our one-hour bowling session ended - i recommend ordering food before starting to bowl. The pizza, sliders, and loaded fries were very good.

I recently went here on a date as an adult, and we thought it'd be fun to try throwing axes, bowling, and having a cocktail while we were at it. To my surprise, there were plenty of other adults there doing the exact same thing, which made it feel like a great spot for a unique night out. While there were kids playing in the arcade and some birthday parties happening, the staff did a fantastic job of keeping the kids and adults separate, ensuring everyone could enjoy their space. The atmosphere was lively

Service is non existent here any more. Made a reservation to go bowling and moved us twice after we started. Food brought without plates or utensils. Salad brought without dressing and never a server to check with us. Had to go downstairs multiple times for assistance.

My boy loved his birthday here!! Enjoy the video!

High 5 is a great place to go for bowling and their food and drinks are VERY good. Their food portions are generous. I love their Nachos Gonzalez.

Great location for 5-ye-olds birthday party. Staff was attentive w ordering at the counter and table delivery. It was clean, to. Lots of games and bowling offer entertainment foot all ages

Fun place for children and adults. Nice arcade with lots of activities for the kids. Several bowling lanes. Went there for a family event.Staff we're very friendly and helpful. Food is Plenty and price reasonable. Overall, we had fun time. I remember that once we brought in the New Year at High Five !

Terrible experience and a sad birthday for our 14 year old. The kids were so bummed we left much earlier than expected. Overpriced & Understaffed. Paid $150 dollars for 1 game of laser tag and 1 game of bowling for 4 people?.And that was after waiting 20 minutes to buy the package without anyone acknowledging us at the counter.

They need to build one of these closer to my home 620 traffic is a nightmare but high five is an awesome experience, it is well worth the traffic. We love bowling my husband was in a league when he was younger and the drinks and food are great as well the service has always been on par. This would be a perfect place for a birthday party for children or even adults very clean well-kept establishment.

Would have given two stars, but we really enjoyed the customers in the lane next to us so they boosted your rating. We wanted to play upstairs but they closed the area (even though there were people up there). The servers seemed as though they didn't want to attend to us and it took three attempts to get service. The food was delicious! The arcade games were cheating me out of points. I played the least amount of times but the same games as the others and somehow ran out before the rest of the party I was

This whole experience was not at all worth the effort or money. Worst of all, when I sent a very empathetic follow up to the owner, Jenny Emley, it was ignored, even after a attempts to follow up. The issues: - Communication with three different coordinators - was told that the original was in the hospital, then that she quit unexpectedly - Was never provided an updated or final event order so went in blind as to what it would actually cost - Room was not ready when we arrived - No Balloon Bouquet as paid

I've been a loyal bowler at High 5 in Lakeway for some time now, but the treatment myself and many fellow bowlers have received is beyond disappointing. I'm compelled to share our experience because the disrespect from the staff has become unbearable. Many dedicated bowlers have been banned from this facility without reason or fair consultation. These decisions seem to be based solely on the comments of one person who runs a bowling league, without giving those affected a chance to share their side. This i

There's actually 2 levels to this place. It's pretty swanky upstairs and spacious too. 21 and up for upstairs. That's cool. Drinks and food are reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and helpful. Cool place to hangout with or without kids. There's a VR section and cool video games and bowling!

We hired high five to host two birthday parties at the same time (over 40 kids, ages 8 & 9) and they did a pretty decent job for what they charged. It was well managed, all the kids had fun, and nobody got lost. All in all, pretty successful.

This place is amazing! Came to gala and now our friend's birthday! Never fail!

Prices seem to have gone up and a night out for a family of four for games and dinner is expensive. Not something we can enjoy every week or month any more but the occasional month.

Shout out to Sisco and the exceptional service & food he provided my family and I last night. He even told us about weekly specials going on. Will be going back and thank you!

Overpriced and greedy with everything. Even the claw games are rigged. Would it bankrupt you if a child won a 50 cent toy in a game that costs 4.50 per play

Ax throwing was a blast! Great appetizers & drinks. They have bowling, arcade & a great bar!

Damenion the manager on duty was fantastic! He was helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. We also really liked the bartender upstairs. He was extremely attentive. Establishment was clean and we had plenty of space to have a good time. It was a great value.

Great indoor bowling alley with fun atmosphere. There is a good restaurant and bar with gastropub fair (that is surprisingly good - it would be reasonable to come here just for the food) which you can eat while bowling or at a table. There is also a large arcade with gigantic games that kids will love.

Great place to take a fun date or the family. Was kinda pricey but it's well done and has a quality environment.

Great place for family or work events. Hours of fun

ok. Noisy. Food isnt great. Germy. We got sick

If you allow someone to make a reservation online (including a 10$ non refundable convenience fee) for the upper level, maybe try having staff scheduled for that area first? I have sensory issues and wanted to bowl in a quieter area so we thought it would be a good idea to make the reservation prior to going to ensure that I could really enjoy my time. Upon arrival, we were told we had to bowl in the lower area which was packed, blasting mostly crappy music, and with a temperature akin to a sauna, I feel ba

Want to say that High 5 and Cisqo( not sure how to spell his name) made a great impression on me and my daughter!! Her sisters where invited to a birthday party there but since my daughter is one year older and was not in their class, she was not invited. She was sad and looking disappointed when Cisqo noticed her and asked her what was wrong. I explained the situation and he took time out to speak with my daughter to cheer her up and even gave her a free game card!! Who does that now days?!?!! There are n

Roll on! This is a fantastic place to hang out, have a beer with friends, roll some games and generally have a good time. I come every Wednesday for league play and I absolutely enjoy all my time here. The staff are courteous and attentive, and the food is great, if a little expensive.

This place is great for bowling and plenty of other things. It's a great place for the whole family they have an arcade laser tag and even free pool tables upstairs. The bumper bowling is great for the kids there's more than enough to do here it's a great way to beat the heat or a perfect place to spend a rainy day. The food is good as well as the drinks I am definitely return customer!!

This is a fun place to go. We were there for the bowling, but they also have a multitude of arcade games, as well as laser tag. The bowling alley is actually two-story. We were on the upper lanes, which are very comfortable. The food that we ordered was quite tasty and the drink menu is good.

Went bowling. Bowling alley broke when we were playing and mechanic fixed it. They gave us extra time to play. Also first arcade game we played did not work. Once again they gave us video game credits. Thanks for the hospitality.

We went to High 5 in lakeway as a meeting spot for family. The staff/management was all very, very nice. However, we order 2 items that needed to be gluten free. They brought out 1 that was not gluten free (I'm glad I asked because the server wasn't sure and had to go ask his boss). They said they weren't able to make it GF because they were out of GF pizza crusts. Then they brought out the rest of our food and my husband?s burger was without a bun because they'd run out of GF buns. 2 managers came by to ap

I took two of my grandchildren to play the arcade games for almost two hours. We had fun. Noticeable lack of trash cans. I looked all over to toss a couple of water cups and could not find one so I left the cups on the bar counter. I did not order any food so I can't speak to that. I did however, have a look at the axe throwing cages and bar for an adult evening coming soon! I'll update my review after that experience.

Axe throwing (14+ with adult), laser tag, bowling and arcade. Great for adults and kids.

We have been a few times and have had a great time at the entertainment venue, cool bowling alley, video arcade, and great food and drinks.

Love this place! Had to have a last minute Bday party for my teenage daughter and needed a room somewhere to have it in. I thought why not at High Five. Called Nikki, the event coordinator, and she took it from there there. She helped me with all my questions regarding food & beverages. The staff, a lot go high schoolers, were great! They waited on us hand and foot and were always checking on us to see if we needed anything. I did hire a DJ & Decorator on my own and they contacted Nikki and she made sure

I've been coming here since they've opened almost ten years ago and I keep coming back! The upstairs bowling is super fun if it's open. The laser tag is also a really fun activity to do with a group. The VIP card is worth it, I've gotten to play a lot more arcade games with it. They used to have more arcade games and it used to be cheaper, but still definitely the best arcade/entertainment facility in the Lakeway/bee cave area!

Best managed bowling and activity center I have ever step foot in. The service and real care for the patrons was second to none. Restaurant staff was very attentive, caring and served sensational food. Make sure you order something from the restaurant because it's worth coming to this place alone.

I am now in three leagues at this location and I have met some of the best friends I have in Lakeway. The staff works really hard to keep everything running even with league bowlers who are not always the easiest to deal with, and the bar and food staff make the difference for my friends who drink

We've been here several times as a family for bowling and dinner. The service is phenomenal, areas are always clean, the bar is never sticky. We can't get enough of their Nacho Avalanche and boneless wings, which I find better than most wing places. Kudos to the staff and management for coordinating five star family fun. Thank you High 5 Lakeway!

High Five Entertainment in Lakeway, TX, earns a flawless 5 out of 5 for an excellent adult bowling and bar experience. The lanes are well-maintained, and the atmosphere is lively, making for an enjoyable bowling session. The bar offers a great selection of drinks, complemented by friendly and efficient service. Reasonable prices and a clean, welcoming environment round out the top-notch experience. Highly recommended for a fun night out with friends.

We went to order drinks at the bar things went fine. Then we ordered food on the app and at the bar (group of people there celebrating a very important birthday) and we were charged and waited an hour and nothing came out. We went to the bar and she said the system was down and told us she already said it was down and we were ignorant for ordering and it's not her fault we can't listen. She became very hostile and rude towards us. We ordered before the system crashed. She got the manager and the manager was

Went for a Saturday night out with my friends, come to find out they close at 11pm (which a little early for Saturday, but that's on me). Although we get there and get our lane to bowl at 9:50pm, (unaware they close at 11pm at this point) and pay for 1.5 hrs of play. We were not told that they close before then, just encouraged to pay and given our gear. Later to find out they close at 11pm, which again fair, we figure at least we will get majority of our play time and miss out on maybe a couple minutes of

We visited this place for New year eve?s celebration , to end 2023 in a memorable way. Our family seating tickets were inclusive of bowling , arcade games and ringing in the new year since our slot was from 10.30 pm till 12 pm. It was very disappointing as nothing happened as promised by Hi Five. The bowling and arcade games were shut down way before time. There was no celebration at all. It was like a very usual night. The staff looked in a hurry to go home. We actually will never opt to come back for a ce

Love u Stephan! Great server

Had an amazing time here! We've been a few times, it's expensive, but well worth it. With they had more local discounts. The staff is super sweet, and I love that they hire inclusively with all abilities. New manager karen was wonderful with helping us get acclimated. Will absolutely be back! Monday and Tuesday are great with there deals - and food was wonderful!

Our kids love it here! The manager and staff are all amazing. We come often, and plan to continue

Great place to bring the kids, downstairs has bowling, arcade, and a bar/restaurant. Upstairs is reserved for adults only.

We had such a great time today! All the staff was super friendly and very helpful. The food was pretty good, too. A wonderful experience all the way around!

Avoid the game area. Apparently no attention dedicated. Games don't function properly, and some simply rigged. Avoid these at all cost

This is a great spot to take the kiddos. We've been here a few times recently and had a lot of fun. It's surprisingly never very busy when we're there during the day. We had my 6 year old's birthday there and used one of the party rooms. The staff was super friendly and ran the whole party keeping the kids on a schedule of food, cup cakes, laser tag, and arcade games. It took all the stress off of us to keep the kids wrangled. I highly recommend it for b-days.

High 5 is a great place to hang out with friends and family! Lots of video games and games to win tickets. Plenty of bowling lanes downstairs and upstairs!

Had such a wonderful time at High5. They catered my husbands birthday event and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff was exceptional with their attentiveness and kind demeanor. The facility is beautiful and the amenities they offers are great. I booked 2 hours of bowling and it was perfect. Me and my friends and family will definitely be returning.

I bought gift cards here in the total of $60. They overcharged my card. I called to have it corrected and the first time was mislead by a male manager who said would call but never did. Two days later I call back and speak to Katalina and she has a nasty attitude. Maybe because I called after 7:30pm and she sounded cranky. She was condescending and rude. I wouldn't recommend this place just from how they treat their customers. I hope those who will be gifted the gift cards are not treated the way I was. I d

Great place to take the family. We Always enjoy the atmosphere. Good food great service and fun arcade games.

I recently visited high five in Lakeway and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. There were multiple issues that left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with my visit. Firstly, I had seen a deal on their website that I was excited to take advantage of. However, when I arrived in person, I was told that they wouldn't honor the deal because it's spring break. This was frustrating as I had specifically gone there because of that promotion, and it left me feeling misled and disappointed. To

We held our manager team building function at High 5 for 15 people. We had a private room for an hour long meeting than wrapped up with bowling, laser tag and games. Everyone had a blast! The catered food in our meeting was excellent and our host was very attentive. Some of the food selections and room set up were incorrect so a bit of shuffling in the beginning which prompted 4 stars. Otherwise, great venue. We have been back since to eat and play!!

Definitely great for group gatherings

I was very disappointed with High 5?s services last night? we came in from out of town and wanted to axe throw. When we got there at 7:00 we tried to make reservations for the axe throwing but the employee said no need to do that we can just come in later on an get a booth, so we order food and played games then around 8:00 we reminded the server that we still wanted to axe throw. The front desk employee said we could not do the axe throwing because they needed to start their closing process. Mind you tha

Could have quieter music. Nice variety of activities for teens to sixties.

This place really needs better management. Bunch of kids running this business. My wife and I went to go bowling. Checked the web site 1st and they were offering 1/2price unlimited bowling. We bowled 3 games and they shut us down in about a hour. I went to speak to them about this and they told me we were done . I didn't understand what was going on. I Spoke to manager and he said the young lady at desk didn't know the rules. Unlimited is not really Unlimited here. Unlimited is after 1 hr an

This is a great place for large family, team, or corporate parties, with advanced planning and reservations. The catered food options and bar food and service are good. They also have nice meeting rooms away from the noise of the bowling and arcade if you want to have a meeting or award ceremony/etc. Also, the axe throwing setup here is better than several other places that I've visited. The targets are projected onto the wall instead of painted, so you can play several different types of games, and you c

Lots of fun. It has changed quite a bit. Prices a bit high for Lazer tag and bowling. Per person. Wish they would bring back the hour play cards for the arcade. More affordable for kids to play games with no pressure to earn tickets. But Food was Awesome. Staff is friendly. Place is clean.

We held a birthday party with parents, kids, family and friends across 4 lanes and 3+ hours. The staff were really great, waited promptly and kept the beverages full. The lanes and scoring equipment were great (although my older eyes would have preferred the multi colored lights off so I could see my ?mark? when bowling). Everyone enjoyed themselves and those with kiddos had fun with the games area too. All in all, I got tons of compliments for choosing High 5 for this dual Bday event. Cost was as expected

Had a blast with my wife and my parents. We went early and got the all access pass for half price. We played 2 games of bowling, 3 rounds of laser tag and played lots of games. We had lunch as well which was really pretty good.

Great family entertainment. The kids loved it and the food was surprisingly good. (Get the boneless wings).

Got the New Year's Eve package. Lady at the bottom of the stairs was great. Young man managing the lanes and the shoes was excellent, great employee. Walked up to the bar and the male bartender was a bit dismissive. When asked for my order (vodka soda) he then turned to the couple next to me to ask what they wanted. They were looking at the drink menu and were not sure what they wanted so he stood there waiting for them to decide. After getting their order, he then asked me again what I wanted. Plent

This place is genius it has everything a kids heart could ever desire. We originally were here to go bowling but then discovered they had laser tag a decent size arcade free pool table and billiards. The food was delicious and what I would expect from a place like this and the drinks were good too. The staff was polite the kids had a great time the adult had a great time everything you need in one place. It's worth mentioning that there's two floors of bowling lanes an upstairs and a downstairs. Cool place!

I am so thankful for High 5! As a family, this place has been our saving grace during this pandemic. We were super fans before this mess and even more so now. They were so gracious to host our company Christmas party (Flipnastics) and couldn't have been more accommodating. The kids and families were overwhelmed by the kindness and attention. Thank you truly to the cooks, bartenders/waitresses, game managers, event managers, etc. Many blessings ??

If you don't care at all about bowling and you're not trying to improve your game, then this place is for you. You are bowling in an arcade, run by teenagers. If anyone wants the lights turned off, they will do it for them, right in the middle of YOUR game. They don't care. If you are actually trying to do well in the sport, go to a real bowling alley. The food is good, but I'd suggest going to any one of Lakeway's much finer restaurants.

Great place for the whole family.

I found the place to be rather pricey. The service was friendly and very good, Angel was our server. Food was decent. If you enjoy bowling this is NOT the place to go, the floors are sticky and you could fall if you're not careful. This is more a place to take the children for a $400 lunch break. We did have fun but geez we didn't even finish 3 games before they cut us off.

Horrible service all around and I don't ever leave bad reviews - but it was bad. Me and my husband were patient and polite, yet no one wanted to take our order or help when we played a game that ended up breaking. It was a disappointing date night.

Great place to hang out with friends and family for some good old fashioned bowling fun. I was in Texas over Christmas visiting my family and we all went here one night for a couple hours of bowling. It's pretty pricey - about $40 an hour plus shoe rental. It's even more if you reserve online as they charge a convenience fee. Throw in food and drinks and you could easily spend a few hundred bucks in just a few hours. We had a coupon for buy one hour get one free so we used that and it wasn't quite as b

We just had our daughters birthday party there and I have to say the party planning committee lead by Johanna was superb. She and her team made sure everyone both children and adults were taken care of, and the children were supervised while parents were able to talk. I can't emphasize this part enough! Parents can actually hang out! We had several questions by staff to make sure things were to our liking through the event! Special thanks to staff member Summer for being a part of this as well! Thank you en

Compared to other places like this, this one tops them all. Nice choice of games to choose from, laser tag and two stories of bowling. Fun for all ages, including the adults with a great choice of drinks at the bar. We also went to a birthday party here recently and the party hostess took care of everything, really awesome for the parents to chill out while the kids go get crazy! Fun times!

The kids bowl free program has brought us here, with the family pass added we can enjoy all summer family fun to get the heat. The staff is really great, professional and always have a smile. The lanes are well maintained, drinks are good, and the video games always win. With two floors of bowling and bars they have it covered. They also have party space and a dining area if you just want to hang out.

Overall, I had a very bad experience. We came to bowl and eat, about 30 minutes had gone by and no one had stopped by to even drop off menus or take a drink order. We went 4 times to the front desk to ask for some assistance or for someone to come take our order and they just kept saying they would send somebody. Eventually we went to the bar to place our order because no one had come. The waitress even came to help the group sharing a lane with us and immediately left without checking on us despite us havi

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?
