Fun friendly, they even found a way to make the tickets easier. There's a machine and you just feed the tickets in and out pops your receipt. My little one didn't want to leave

They make the best tacos on the boardwalk. The beef is amazingly tender and flavorful. The tortilla is slightly crisp and the lime completes the combo. Served with onions and cilantro and hot off the grill. The consume is just a little spicy for a great taco sauce over the top. Tuesdays is taco Tuesday so stop up and try these.

Very disgusting, got ANTS in my milkshake!!!! Will never step inside this disgusting place anymore, check your place and your staff hygiene

The arcade here is very good! It has a variety of games, and this arcade is cheaper than most of the other arcades around! It is also family-friendly.

I have been spending time at the Jersey shore for over 50 years. This year we purchased a condo in Seaside Heights and have been there almost every weekend. Unfortunately we typically are in the area of Midway and south. Yesterday we went North and I am so glad we did. We wandered into the Shake Shoppe arcade for the first time. While the arcade itself can use some updating, the customer service we experienced from Joe was outstanding. When a machine we were using was malfunctioning, he took the time, while

Tornado Grill located in this building has a excellent lunch and dinner menu. Boardwalk employees eat here thats how excellent the food is. Menu price is very reasonable for this area. Employees here are very friendly. When you are on the Seaside Heights boardwalk don't miss eating at this place. You will always come back for more.

Very good food and a bonus for choices at the Tornodo Grill, more than the common boardwalk food options. I've been here many times enjoyed their gyros, kabobs, falafel and more. You can get sandwiches or platter that come with rice and a salad. Never disappointed. Oh and also part of the arcade is the Shake Shop, stop here for dessert some icecream of a fruit smoothie

The summer staff is wonderful and polite. The owner is there frequently and is one of the most generous person I've met! Try their oatmeal raisin ice cream! It's amazing! And so are all the games!

Was in line listening to a customer belittling one of the people making her ice cream, making fun of the employee for speaking little english. She was making a racist remark and then a man who seemed like a manager or owner stepped up and said verbatim ?I can't find enough people from America to work so i get people from other countries? instead of standing up for his employees who work hard for him he will agree and crack jokes about them too. If i could I'd leave a ZERO star review highly disappointed.

The good the bad and the ugly, worked there so I saw the process from the inside out, no going to say anything bad because I believe in karma, life gives you back what you sent out into the world. lobster lab media, stay turned for a full video review from the location this summer. Blessings

Extremely dishonest! After telling my daughter multiple times it's impossible to win a big prize with a claw game she proved me wrong. She had her eyes set on Beat headphones and a watch that was on display. This claw game you did not pick up the prize but a bag that said prize winner and in it was a note that said what prize you won. She won the headphones. I handed them the note and to my surprise they handed me a cheap (probably $5) pair of headphones. I asked to speak to the manager and told her this

Shake Shoppe Arcade has four different sections. The four sections are the fast food snack shop, candy stand, arcade games, and Ice cream shop. I recommend the ice cream shop. The staff and two managers were friendly and helpful.

This arcade is pretty decent size and has a few unique games the others on the boardwalk don't. Also has some decent prizes. I always make a point to go here.

Me and my son go here all the time in the summer we like to eat at the tornado grill in the front of the arcade and then he plays the games while I finish up eating and they are small but have a great selection of fun games , he's four so it's good for him.

Loved grabbing delicious ice cream on the boardwalk over MDW! Alyssa was polite, helpful, and a little ray of sunshine.

Good taste ice-cream with good portion and nice prices. Staff was professional. Clean and organized place.

We have spent the evenings of our vacation here. Joe the guy working the arcade ticket counter has been super helpful and soooo personable.

Horrible aracde.. spent 100 total in this place first 40 on cranes where the claws didn't even close and I mean most other arcades at least have the claw pick it up and drop it this places claws didn't even close on any crane machine.. so then we went to the points and spend an additional 60 winning points we ended up with 65 points total again claw machines that wouldn't even grab thilos little rolls of tickets... even told the one employee behind the counter how bad it was and said loud and clear were goi

The worst ice cream I've ever had. Asked for chocolate jimmies and got rainbow. Ice cream was like Italian ice, ice cream. The worst. Only has vanilla soft serve, not chocolate.

I didn't try any of the shakes or food but I did play some games with my friends. Game floor was relatively clean and games seemed well maintained.

Great place to take a walk with the family.

Don't play the crane games. Weak claws entirely a rip off. JV league business, horrible smells.

i?ve cream is 4.50 for a tiny ?small? icecream! they have a ridiculous tip and don't answer their phone

The place was pretty dingy and PACKED with people, I never really saw a staff member, but I am sure they were there.

Best ice cream hands down at this place

Fun place and awesome icecream shop inside the place. Everyone was very friendly.

Glad they participated with First Night, but their contribution was weak compared to the donations made to kids from the other arcades.

Delicious absolutly loved their Banana boats and sundays!

Good prices and very good ice cream pleasantly surprised and good service

My family loves the ice cream here!

Great selection of hard ice cream.

Friendly staff. Good ice cream.

This joint is so fun!

Typical Seaside boardwalk arcade.

(Translated by Google) Really great concept. From tacos to pizza to ice cream, everything was delicious. The ice cream is particularly delicious. The design of the snack bar is reminiscent of a diner and the service is fast. Here you can spend a few wonderful hours feasting and winning. (Original) Wirklich tolle Konzept. Von Tacos ?ber Pizza bis hin zum Eis hat alles geschmeckt. Gerade das Eis ist besonders lecker. Das Design des Imbiss erinnert an ein Diner und der Service ist fix. Hier kann man einige sc

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
