Customer Reviews

Really enjoyed coming here since I was small alongside my husband as well. Bringing our son to Haunted Trails can never go wrong everything was up and running love how they switched some games out and they put new ones. Some games do need a lil fixing but alot of games are up to date.

I took my wife to Haunted Trails for a date night, and we had such a great time! The whole place has this cheesy, spooky vibe that's more fun than scary, making it perfect for a laid-back evening. From the moment we walked in, we could tell this was going to be something different. We kicked things off with the go-karts, and it was such a rush! Racing each other around the track brought out our competitive sides, and we couldn't stop laughing. It was the perfect way to set the tone for a night of fun. Aft

Come here if you want me to beat you in mini golf. they offer a lot of stuff to do. The arcade is fine the prices are pretty decent. Didn't have the food but I had fun playing mini golf. I wanna go back and try the batting cages and maybe the go-karts. There were some teens messing around in there but they weren't too mean

We went here for Father's day and had a great day out. The pricing is more than reasonable and there really wasn't much of a crowd. The go-kart track may be small, but we had big fun with a little family race. The putt-putt course is very well laid out and offers an impressive range of challenging shots. We got stuck behind a large party on the course and so we ran out of time to do the batting cages, but we'll definitely be back for those. The park itself is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful

I've been here once awhile back but I thought it had a cool theme. If you're a horror fan, you'll have fun with all of the props on the mini golf course. They have something for everyone here. Inside they have arcade games, food, and a laser maze. Outside during the months of April-Oct, you have mini golf, go-karts, crazy cabs ride, junior rollercoaster, and batting cages. Staff was nice. Plenty of private parking. This is a good place for birthday parties for your kids. They have a lot of specials going on

Had a good time here with the family. Staff was great prices wasn't too bad, pizza was really really good!

Great place to spend a day. They have everything you could ask for with mini-golf, go-karts, mini rollercoasters, and an arcade. Everything is pay as you go so you spend only as much as you want! The mini-golf is totally worth it, it's a long course, entertaining, and if you get a hole in one on the last hole you win a free game. The one downside with mini-golf and all the other outdoor attractions is the lack of shade. Wish there were at least some more trees. The go-karts are fun with a multi-level course

I feel like it's overpriced for the same games u can find at Chuck E Cheese for a better price. The only difference is they have an outside amusement park w. Go carts etc but in the cold weather def not convenient. The food was super delicious though especially the chicken salad! ??????

Very cool one of a kind halloween/ haunted house themed putt putt golf. Also, is attached to a decent indoor arcade similar to a chuck E Cheeses. Only downside is that its not in the best area, multiple people here stunk of weed, which is fine but not so much at a place for children. Also, a few people here got in a pretty trashy loud arguement and almost came to blows. Not exactly what I'd want my children to be around.

THREE WORDS: BEST STAFF EVER. I've never been to haunted trails and I decided to host my sons 11th birthday here. From the moment I entered the facility I was greeted by polite and professional members of the staff. I'm not sure of the security guards name but he was very nice. When I arrived at my table I was greeted by the biggest smile from Katie. She was so courteous and helpful. They assisted me with set up( A Minnesota vikings themed event), and asked me if I needed anything. My host Octavian , was an

We get the fabulous fun feast which comes with a pizza, soda and $40 worth of game play, we get to play while we wait for the pizza. They have little junior go karts for smaller kids to drive. It's always clean when we come in, staff are nice. Never had an issue with any of the games.

Visiting from out of state, had a good time. Great for families. We did go carts, batting cages, mini golf and the arcade. Spent around 2 hours there. Would definitely return.

huge behemoth statues greet you on the mini gold course, arcade bleeps and crashes fill the air, vending machines whirr and blood washes through the course

It was fun for a family day on a not too hot day. We caught a day when all the rides were $1, so we did everything once or more. Not sure if would have been as good for our family of 3 kids if it wasn't that special price. Good fun if you're in the area.

A go-to quick after-school trip for the kids. If you've grown up on the southwest side, this was the place to go. Fun, simple, and always a good time. Keep meaning to pick up a retro-shirt. I hope this place stays forever

I have been coming here since childhood and it remains the same! Still a great place for a quick trip of fun. Arcade games, mini golf, batting cages, "raceway" so fun for all.

5 stars because the manager, Stacey, was amazing. We won two prizes for teens and she allowed us to swap them out for my 2 and 4 year old. Thank you! Truly appreciated it.

Haunted Trails is always a guaranteed good time. The perfect date night for families, friends, and couples. I've been bringing my family here for many years, a tradition especially over the summer, a place we all enjoy together. Brings out the kid in all of us, never too old to have fun. The memories we've created here are so special and it's a tradition that we look forward to continuing. Horror themed mini-golf, batting cages, Go-Karts, rides, game rooms, affordable...this place is so much fun! We love i

Last weekend during my visit to Chicago, Illinois we stayed at a location close by to Haunted Trails Family Entertainment. So therefore decided to go have some fun. Firstly, we tried the go karts and had fun. Then the crazy cabs, Miner Mike?s Coaster Ride and other indoor fun packs. We won so many tickets and collected toys and other items. It was so fun and we enjoyed a lot. Go try and have some fun and leave a review here on how you felt about this place. Thank you ??

The arcade is small however they do have more for entertainment, but it was raining so we couldn't enjoy them. The arcade was okay we had tons fun with the claw machine.

Played their miniature golf; we arrived 2 hours before closing and it was not busy. Reasonable price, we paid $15.50 (on a Tuesday) for two people for their 18-hole mini golf.

This visit was my first time here, and I absolutely loved it. It's definitely kitchy, but that's part of the charm. It was relatively empty on a Thursday night, so it would probably be a great place for a little or kids in the arcade area. We did the go-kart track, which was fine. From the cars were a little slow but I guess that's because they're made for all ages. I'm excited to try some of the other attractions next time.

Fun, but pricey! Watch the prices and your card balance while playing the games. Some of them cost $4-7. Most cost $1.25. It was very clean and it wasn't crowded the day I went.

Such a fun little place for the whole family! Reasonable priced, well maintained outside area and inside! Phenomenal staff and impressive staff! Every single staff member was professional, friendly, helpful, and kind!! Which is a hard job to maintain with young kids!!! The arcade area is small but plenty of different unique games. It was nice to play different arcade games than the same ones everywhere else has. The outdoor area was our favorite thing here! The adults and kiddos had a blast on the big and l

Great for All Ages,Adult friendly fun, Miniature Golf is a must competition for #1st place and the go kart Rides

Fun place for the kids, nice batting cages and outdoor rides. Great haunted / monster themed mini-golf. Some parts are showing their age, but the property is very well maintained. It's also affordable. The amusements are about half the price of Dave & Busters, etc.

Very fun family place to go. Have lots of things to do. Very very very friendly staff. Helping everyone with a big smile on face. Our kids had fun go Karting. Baseballing. Mini golfing. One suggestion : please change the theme of park. Just make it regular , for the whole year ,not the haunted one. Otherwise its spookily beautiful ?? ??

Great family fun or even of you're taking the lady on a date, fun place. Minituare golfing is fun, the go karts. For the people now hitting adulthood hard, it's nostalgic. Service is good, lotta hs kids working which I'd rather see them get those opportunities than a grown person working there. Look forward to getting my revenge on Angela, she beat me in mini golf by like 32. Can't put my energy in kid games when papers gotta be sold.

Honestly it's haunted trails, an old trusty since the dawn of time! It's a super fun time and convenient especially when you don't want to go far from home. The manager is awesome, and staff is pretty nice mostly. We've had team meetings here for baseball as well and the food is decent so definitely check it out if you haven't. If you're a Chicagoan then you already know!

My son had a good time he loves the place. The only problem I had is that they don't explain to the children on the smaller go carts that they get to crashes or explain it to the parents. My son had two crashes, and the guy took him off The Go-Karts, making him feel he did something wrong. But the person operating the go-karts didn't do that to the three kids that went before my son. So yes, I had a problem with it.

We really enjoyed this place. We took our son for his 10th birthday, it was clean, the atmosphere felt safe and the pizza was acceptable for the type of kids place it is.

We played the mini golf course. It was well maintained and had a good balance of challenge and enjoyment

Love this place it's no 6 flags but the kids enjoy it as much .. games rides batting cages mini golf best is the racing cards both for kids and adults alike .. oh and the pizza if great ????????????????

Nice place to spend time with your family to tech children spendings. Nice place to have party celebrations at.

Wow!! A wonderful place for the Grandkids, kids, grown-ups too. First time here was great. Took the grandkids here on the first warm day of Spring. Drove the go-carts, did the batting cage and played some games. The grandkids loved it as did I. We will be coming back to enjoy it more. Looking to do mini golf on the next visit.

First time coming here with my children and last time. It was the worse and the young kids that work there are very rude so unprofessional never again 0 stars

My daughter rated it THE BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY EVER!! Service was wonderful, very attentive and timely. Hugh props to my waitress. She took the cake and set everything up and kept the party running smoothly. Above and beyond, anticipating all our needs!! Thank You so much!!

I've been coming to haunted trails for at least 40 years! My parents took me I took my son now I take my grandchildren! It's actually much improved since I was a kid well at least there's a lot more to do We played a round of mini golf then when go karting My grandchildren had a blast!!!

Great place for go kart racing! Took my tween there for her first go kart experience and it was beyond our expectations. As she says the best experience ever!!! The staff selling the tix inside and those on the track were attentive, friendly and very helpful. Each Go kart experience is for 3 minutes. About $10 for each driver. You can expect to go around the figure 8 track at full speed several times. The karts are fast for the track, very responsive (don't need to use the brakes), great to have a fun tim

Had a lot of fun. I always enjoy a few games while I am there with the kids.

Absolutely outstanding overall. All the games worked, excellent staff, incredible value for what you spend. My kids loved it and it brought back so many memories from when I was a kid! . Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning soon. I remember going there as a kid and kenner star wars action figures were available as prizes LOL. This was WAAYYY back when service merchandise was down the block .

Just outside of Chicago, Been going here for many years, since I was a small child. The outdoor activities are very fun such as the go karts. As for the arcade, it is still relatively entertaining for me. Although some arcade machines have been removed and some not operational.

It's such a small space inside. The party room is real little and unorganized. I didn't like the set up of how the party is to go. The outside are is okay. My daughter played more outside than inside.

Very fun! Went with my mom to play mini golf,go carts ,and the arcade.very kid friendly and entertaining, mini golf has a great amount of holes ??. And go carts were fun to ride. 10/10

10/10 experience! Love the mini golf and batting cages, and their pizza is elite!

Polite staff with managers YOU CAN COUNT ON to help you have the best experience. As a senior THESE wonderful staff helped us with the go carts , because we can still be young of heart. Safety measure maintained . Equipment working perfectly . Even the bathrooms were clean.

Great place for family fun and there's something for all ages!

This is based on my most recent visit (8-1-2024) and for the batting cages only . I definitely recommend . You have to bring your own helmet but 2 bats are available in each bat area. They also have more bats available by the mini golf area. All machines were in working order and the staff was friendly and attentive. My son can't wait to go back . 18 balls for 2.50 , game card can be purchased at the mini golf widow (extra bats are also located here). Just found out batting helmets are available :)

Friendly staff . The earlier you visit the less crowded it is.

Haunted hills is a fantastic and affordable place to take your children for a mini vacation or just a little stress relief.

Batting cages say fast but is slow complete joke I miss fun Times Square way better cages sad

It was amazing to be able to take my children to the same place I used to take my little sisters 20 years ago

Fun place to take the kids. It gets a bit crowded though I would reccomend going on a week day if possible. Waited a hour to ride the go carts, but I will say it was worth the wait. I also appreciated how they sprayed down the rides with sanitizer and had hand sanitizer readily available.

Family Fun at the park. Kids had a blast.

A nice cosy place for families to visit. Staff was friendly, however, there were soo many people there. It had very few rides, for adults, but a nice mini golf course of 9 holes. The baseball area i did not go to, but seemef ok. The go-kart track was not too big, small, and most cars had issue eigther with their engine or pickup speed etc, most cars were also not fast, so, although we paid for the rides, we did not got into them even after a wait of 1 hour. The place is also pricy as compared to the offered

My son enjoyed his day at Haunted Trails. Won some great prizes today... Coming to on a football fanatic.

It was very expensive, but it was a blast! The grandbabies loved it.

Reading these reviews, it's nice to see this place is just as run down and full of useless staff as it was in the 90s. If you didn't catch it, that's sarcasm.

Went to a grandchild's birthday party. My kids had parties here, back in the day. I am shocked at how little you get now and how much per kid is priced at, these days. The cheaper pkg was still pretty steep. No outside entertainment, no mini golf, no arcade, no nothing! $30/game play per child. Lasted 1/2 hour at best. The game prices are ridiculous for electronic entertainment. And fixed claw machines? No thanks!

Reminded me of my childhood and brought my kids to enjoy it.

I went to Haunted Trail as a little girl and loved it. I've recently visited for my son?s bit and it's still the same great place. May I also add, the staff was very helpful to me. They explained how everything worked was super nice when I lost the reloadable ticket card they gave me. I feel like this is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with the kids having fun. I definitely recommend this place for family fun.

Definitely don't recommend if you have a 3 year old and you want to have fun is not even worth it they won't allow the child to go on the ride even if he is at the height requirement.. even going with an adult they literally have about 6 trails and only 1 my son was able to go? definitely not worth it and definitely don't recommend.. they should have a sign at the ticket desk saying 3 and under not allowed instead of having the size chart? waste of money

When I was a child I used to come here all the time with my dad. I moved away and never came back though I absolutely love this place. For my 30th birthday I decided to come back and relive my childhood memories. Well it's just as good as I remember they have some awesome prizes even for adults!!!! Everyone can play here.

Slow, dull, and not anything like what it used to be, would not recommend unless you feel like wasting $10 just to get a couple baby pieces of candy

I had fun with my kids and nephews at Haunted Trails. I will be back.

Staff was friendly. Kids had fun as well as adults. Played mini golf, bumper cars, rode on the lil coaster. Batting cages is fun. And everything in the neighborhood just adds to your day out with the family. Now for the bad.... Need more games and need updates. Seems like a cramped area when its busy. Maybe make summer activities for the kids example hackie sack, throw rings, crafts center, Got all the patio area in the back then open and use it. Have been coming here for years and never really changes. GO

The ticket line was long and at $8 a ride not worth it to me but my kid had fun, great America would have been better and cost the same

I loved coming here as a kid, and now bringing my kid here 30 years later was still awesome!

Haunted trails has always been a favorite place to go.For the last 20 plus yrs we continue to go.They do have deals on holidays.

Had a lot of fun.. The games, the race cars, and even the batting cages were so fun!! The staff was patient and very nice! Will return!!

My grandpa used to call this place the rip off joint lol

Honestly can not say enough how great kelly is. Each year we've done my daughters birthday here and shes been there helpful smiley and seems to really enjoy her job. She's very good at it also. It's always nice and clean and the food from the restaurant comes out quick . And for the deals they run its a great price with convenient in different sizes for different groups

Love doing my birthday parties here and probably will continue to do this until the kids get older. It's a great value, after your deposit you just pay as you go, and they take care of everything and explain clearly what is provided. Last weekend I had another birthday party here for my son. The staff is very professional, kind and helpful. Big shout out to Tommy and Dominic for being very accommodating and helpful with the little ones! All of the staff here deserve a raise, especially those two!~ I cou

Half their batting cage machines don't work. And they charge $2 per card to use. Rip off!

Fun as always for a short trip. Get the Groupon it worth it.

Cynthia was great accommodating me when I couldn't go on the go-karts and went out of her way to ask her manager if we were able to get a refund and switch over the amount to be able to play the arcade games since it was almost closing time ! Thank you for the great customer service !!!

My God, it was So Awesome for all ages, all kind of Fun, also there's a Food Court inside.

Had a blast. Also went yi batting cage. 2.25 for 18 balls

Great entertainment place for teens and lil ones

My daughter's 1st time playing mini golf. She loved it! Everything is reasonably priced and the staff was super nice. All the games worked. Fruit ninja was being worked on but that didn't affect the machine as a whole cuz it has 3 screens. Clean. Food options on premises. Great family fun.

Very affordable. Solid, family friendly fun! Perfect for a quick spur of the moment trip. We spent about 90 minutes here and were able to clear a round of mini golf, batting cages, and go karts racing.

This place is always a great time ! Whether a birthday or just having fun. And they have some pretty good pizza.

ACCESSIBILITY REVIEW: I didn't see any handicap parking spaces, but all the spaces in the parking lot are relatively close to the doors. If you have to park on the Southside of the parking lot near the Go Karts, there is a side entrance to the arcade that is closer than the front door. No handicap buttons on the doors. It is a flat entrance/no stairs. The arcade has wide aisles, but beware moms with double strollers! There are VERY FEW places to sit in the arcade. There is a bench on the Piano Game and Wheel

This place used to be great! Now it is insanely expensive. More than Dave and busters and way more than chuck e cheese. Literally 2 kids, $120, 30 min.

I just want to say a HUGE and sincere ?thank you? to the GM Chris. He was very professional and seemed to genuinely care about providing the best experience for the guests. He was respectful to his employees and seemed to be a great leader. Seems like someone anyone would want to work for. I was so pleasantly surprised at how clean everything was and how responsive the staff was to our needs, both in the cafe and the game room. It was fun for my husband and I to take our daughter to the same place we had s

Me and my son went here for my 38th birthday. It happened to fall on a Wednesday night and all games were half off. ???? We went on Go Karts & played a game of golf. This place was super fun and we will definitely go back. I think we spent a total of around 75$. 50$ in games (with a free $10 if purchasing a 50$ card), then Go Karts we're around 9$ each, and golf was around the same as well). Staff was super courteous and helpful. All in all, an awesome place to have fun with the kids. 5 stars all the way! ?

My kids had fun! It was clean and well kept. I liked that there was a smaller go-kart track for kids under 53', so my petite 10 year old could drive. Staff was friendly. We went to a birthday party and I thought it was a great birthday package. We were kept busy for 3 hours after the food, etc. ??

The birthday celebration for my daughter with family and friends getting on the rides and playing games is fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
