Great place for family fun. Took my older teens to bowl. Not sure about food or arcade games since we didn't participate. Environment was very nice and not too crowded. We went during the day to avoid any potential waits or large crowds.
The food was good the crispy chicken is really good, got the cobb salad and it was a huge portion. If we are out this way again we will probably stop by! Our server was super nice as well and tentative.
Tried this first night in town, looking for a patio. Service Excellent, explaining the food, checking on us in a timely manner, making us truly welcome. Delicious food. Next night started for another place but returned here eating inside. Food was great, service at the bar was very good!. Third night, back to Hanger38 again. Third server/bartender was excellent. Food was very tasty. Outstanding food includes fried ribs (WOW), burger, and more. Full range of beverages, full bar, big beer selection. Som
ATTENTION ALL ADULTS: This place is so wonderful and food is Amazing! Having a drink while kids play is the best way to wind down a day. Andy and his team do an incredible job back in the kitchen upto the bar. Place is always clean with week night entertainment, so go check it out
I didn't try the food it was a last minute stop definitely fun for all ages we had a blast at 36 I definitely enjoyed myself
First time ever coming here and We enjoyed the food and the kids had a great time but as it being our first time we wasn't aware that the hour long play time in the arcade started with the very first swipe of the card. we had stopped playing to eat(the kids only played for about 20 minutes) once we were done eating the kids tried to go back and play and we were only able to play 1 game and then the cards had "insufficient funds" 1 hour play should not be determined by the time you start since they do offer
If you're looking to go bowling, this is not the place to do it. $40 for 1 hour and the lanes don't function properly. The management was extremely nice and gave us 2 - 1 hour arcade cards. However, about 25% of the games do not work. We decided not to get food here thinking that would be bad as well.
Fun friendly place to take the family or just to hang out play and have a good time. We made a mistake when purchasing our game cards, they rectified it right away, even putting an extra 10$ in-game tokens on our card.. very sweet, friendly staff.
The food is very good! I love that they gave a bar, games for kids and adults and bowling! Such a fun and cool place. Lunch is definitely a must, no kids there at that time and service is A+
Cool place. Bowling. Arcade games. The Food is Great. Drink menu is great. My Wife and I go just to eat. Mid week Lunch is our favorite time. Its not busy, food and service are outstanding.
Hangar 38 is the epitome of entertainment excellence, combining a cool arcade, a charming little bowling alley, delectable food, and a lively bar, all under one roof. It's not just a venue; it's a one-stop destination that effortlessly caters to the entertainment needs of both kids and adults alike. The arcade at Hangar 38 is a haven for gaming enthusiasts, featuring a diverse array of cutting-edge and classic games that promise endless fun. The accompanying little bowling alley adds a touch of friendly co
We tried this place for the first time on 03/08/25. We live in Florida and drove up to spend the day with our kids. Let me start by saying the customer service is absolutely perfect! I recently had back surgery and currently in a wheelchair until I can walk again in my own so immediately as soon as the hostess saw my husband helping me into my chair from inside she immediately opened the door to greet us to see how many so she could go ahead and get a table ready for me which was perfect. She even waited at
I have to give massive praise to Hangar 38, to the manager, our server Jamie, also the gentleman that was in the back corner of the arcades running the prize counter. Also to Dothan Fire Departmant and Pilcher?s. We celebrated my son?s birthday yesterday and a family member had a medical emergency that resulted in us calling for fire/paramedics. Andy and the gentleman at the prize counter waited for first responders to arrive and walked them back to our room. Jamie checked in on us several times to make sur
I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but the cleanliness was not up to par with restaurant standards. Bathroom sinks look like they have not been cleaned in months. The food was way too expensive for the price. Happy hour for beer was decently priced. Waitresses were fantastic. Games came with our 85.00 dollar meal for one hour of game play. The meal included 2- 12 inch pizzas, which fed our four kids and 4 drinks. (The pizza was wet and not fully cooked) i got the bbq pulled pork taco and it was de
My friend, Angela, and I went here, for my birthday, yesterday. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch! I'll, definitely, be coming back!
I'm going to label this place as a bowling alley and structure my review around it being as such. The food is great, for a bowling alley. The service was incredible, for a bowling alley. The games weren't groundbreaking, but were still fun. They should really consider turning one of the rooms in the back into a full on VR room if they can, it would do really well. The parking lot is shared with several other establishments, so while there is ample parking, you may be in for a little walk. That's really the
Great wait staff and good food, but the experience was completely soured by the management. We encountered an issue with our cards and were met with condescending, rude behavior over a simple question. I was spoken to disrespectfully within five minutes of purchasing my card?before I had even used any of the three. I requested a refund since we decided to leave, and it was flat-out refused. As a business owner, I find the lack of communication and unwillingness to offer basic customer support absolutely un
We contacted Hanger 38 to host our 2025 Project Graduation. Right away, we were greeted with smiles and readiness to serve! Food was amazing, servers were fantastic and the atmosphere was like no other!! We will absolutely recommend Hanger 38 to everyone!!! Thank you from Bonifay High School!!!
We were doing a couples night out and came across this place. The establishment seems fairly new compared to everything else in the area. The food was really good however, the service was terrible. The wait to eat was about 2 hours, the bartenders seemed to have attitudes or maybe that's just how they're on a daily basis. It would definitely help if they also hired some more staff.
Second time hanging out at Hangar 38! Brooklyn was a fantastic waitress and was very helpful in getting us everything that we needed. Ms. Diane at the front desk was extremely kind in making sure we got the most of our experience. We did some bowling, ate and played games! The kids had a ton of fun. We definitely be coming back.
We were seated fast. The waiter was super nice and fast through the time we were there. The food however was such a disappointment. First we got the chips and salsa. Chips tasted like any other chip from a bag at a grocery store. The salsa was clearly refrigerated . The bowl and salsa were ice cold. Who serves cold salsa? Then the fries were very hot and fresh but they clearly rushed to get them to us as they were not cooked inside. The kids pizza was not bad but has chunky tomatoes. Not something my kids
Great food and Fun for the Kids. They have arcade games and a bowling alley. If you want burgers they have them. You want pizza no worries they have pizzas. You want wings yeap they have them too. You want seafood well they have it too. They even have Tacos. They have cocktails and draft beer too.
The food was quite good. Even down to the dessert. I was not feeling well, but the quantity and quality perked me right up. To be honest, I don't know if the price is good or not, but I can tell you that they do have a lot of really awesome games and other such things there. I do recommend this place.
Came here on a date night with my husband and now we're back with the kids since we loved it so much! Fun and clean atmosphere. The food is unique and soo good!! We love the egg rolls, tacos, and pizzas. Myra was our server this time and she was so sweet and friendly.
Went on a Saturday, party of two. The bowling alley was hot, and the machine that picks up pins consistently knocked down pins before each round of bowling. Would have liked to try the food, but despite pressing the button for service, we waited 35 minutes for someone to come over, and once we told him we wanted food, he said he'd have to send a server over (who never came) Spent 40 bucks to bowl in an alley that wasn't working properly, and never got a chance to even order anything.
Super excited to have this place in Dothan. Lots of fantastic family fun . The food is fabulous!!!!! I was shocked at how great it was. We all enjoyed it. We had the best waitress. The bowling section is very nice. The bar is huge. We enjoyed playing the games after dinner. They still need a little work on their Prises Section as far as items to win. I'm looking forward to going back again.
I can not say enough positive about a recent visit to celebrate a very special young man's birthday. The staff went over and beyond to make his day extra special. From the food, the staff, the atmosphere....EVERYTHING was perfect! A special thanks to our server, Victoria. And additional special thanks to Kat and Andy, along with everyone that took the time to make and sign (with a special handwritten note from everyone one) Randy's birthday card. Way to go! Great team work guys!
We had a blast with the kids. So much entertainment for everyone to do! The food was amazing Ahituna Nachos was enough to share with 6 people. We will definitely be back for another round of bowling and arcade fun woth the family!
Perfect for birthdays especially kids. They have mostly American sports bar food but sushi is on the menu too. All of it was pretty yummy. They let us bring our own cake in to serve . Staff was very friendly and capable of dealing with our large group.
Food was great! The service was lacking (new girl - first time by herself and couldn't answer ANY questions) the atmosphere was ?okay? ? bowling was decent but the lanes are NOT oiled properly so you cannot traditional bowl. You have to stand flat footed and ?chunk? the ball down the alley.
I've only had the Pizza, ordered 2 and wasn't that impressed. I ordered the ?Air Force one? not much toppings, maybe 2 pieces of pepperoni and sausage per slice. It was average pizza with minimal toppings. Staff was nice when I paid for the pizza.
AMAZING: Food, service, bar, arcade, & overall music and atmosphere -Absolute bullsh*t: Bowling alley. The bowling alley is 8 short, narrow lanes in the back with broken sensors and bowling pins on strings. It doesn't even count your pins correctly, and if you are able to hit both sensors in the back really hard you automatically get a strike regardless of how many pins are left LMAO. Had tons of fun treating the bowling alley as pure comedic relief then went to a REAL bowling alley after. If you and your
Where to start.... I went by with my family. Paid $100 for cards to get tickets. Most of the machines you swiped on said error and would take your credits. Had to go see the prize redemption service 3 times to get credit s back since 4 machines were not working or had system errors. On the last one I was like, this man won't believe it, so I took a picture to prove it. Then we went bowling, and the lane was messed up. The string pins got tangled, the score wasn't adding up correctly, and when we asked for a
We normally don't mind coming here but the parakeet sized wings are overpriced and vastly underflavored. Ordered a medium well to go burger and the recipient found it nearly bloody red on the inside. Highly unappetizing for that person. The soggy French fries need help as well. Was it bad cook night or something else? Who knows.
Horrible experience from the time my party walked in until the time we left. Too much to even include in this review about our experience! But here's the short version. No one greeted us, took forever to be seated and there were SEVERAL empty tables. It took forever to put in a drink order, took forever to order food, and then we get our food and IT'S COLD! I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon after last night.
The food and service were fantastic!!! The sushi and grilled salmon were very fresh and flavorful! They are pet friendly on the patio.
Awesome place for the entire family. Great food and entertainment. Shout out to one of the cook's i believe by the name of joe, Great cooking abilities. Her cooking skills under used / estimated. She should in a much higher class establishment.
The young ladies at the entrance are really friendly and welcoming. Our server had excellent customer service. We ended up meeting the manager/owner of the business he was really friendly and welcoming. How ever upon leaving one of the worker?s had bad customer service. He gave the vibe ?pay bill and leave, other people need to use the bowing ally? when every other seating in the bowling section was very much empty. So I'm guessing your not allowed to sit and finish your drinks for Atless a minute.
Service is just terrible here. The food is above average at best. It's a great place to watch a game or play games, but I wouldn't expect the staff to be mindful of your presence.
Hangar sucks. I had a time card for an hour and it didn't let us play any of the multi player games no matter how long we waited. The card was always locking up. Every-time we tried to play the one game we enjoyed it said too many consecutive plays. All of the cranes were almost empty. Redemption completely empty. Nothing to attract our eyes. The employee didn't even care to help us much when we asked about it.
Great place for a birthday party! We had a great time. The service is outstanding.
We were turned away at the door, mind you most of us being 18+, and one of the staff said we had to be accompanied by an adult if under 18 and told us to leave, despite us having ID. Since we are high school graduates, I figured we should qualify as adults and figured we would be treated as such.
We took our son for his first bowling experience. Had a great time! The place is very clean and all of the employees were helpful.
Love this place! Great for grownups and kids. Delicious food and the bartender Nichole is top notch!
Great spot for kids to play and adults to eat and drink at the bar. We had a birthday party for our child and his friends and he had a lot of fun! Their birthday pack is worth it.
Our server was new and not properly trained. He took a very long time time to get our orders and they were incorrect, I ordered a double hamburger which is not normal but I was willing to pay extra. When my order came which took 45-50 minutes it was not what I ordered. During checkout we we given the incorrect tickets and messed up everyone's bill. The manager on duty was impolite when dealing with the situation. We spent a large sum of money and will not return.
I can't say I will be returning to this place. Purchased the family pack with the 1 hour play time card for the arcade?wasn't told until after the fact that it doesn't even work for a majority of the machines. The pizza quite frankly was just doughy and simply just fell apart. I ordered sweet tea and it tasted like it had been sitting since they opened (went around 7:30 pm). Sorry, but if people actually think this place is fun or even remotely entertaining then it's because they have enough overpriced alco
This place was pretty good! With a bowling alley, Arcade Games, and a restaurant, the staff here does a great job. There was a very wide variety of games. They did well serving food and drinks, being a little slow at times. If you came here for the arcade, you might want to watch the amount of credits you have! We burned through our tickets very quickly, but thid place was very fun. We didnt try bowling but it seemed it would have been fun. I would recommend this to some friends and I will be coming b
Upon walking in we were a bit lost on what to do no one was in the front area so we had to wait a couple minutes. The room was sufficient for what we needed it for and the kids had a great time. The food was delicious my burger (The Hangar) was perfect. Everyone else had no complaints about food. Seems to be a favorite for local lunch time. The only reason for atmosphere not receiving 5 stars was games were some games were out of order and it was some leaks in building. Out of there control but overall a Gr
I've visited this place several times and it was ok but my most recent visit was the worst experience. The manager was very rude when she came over for me to talk to her. She told me to leave and she was going to call the police on me. I told her I was not leaving so she brings out this other guy. He didn't give his title but he had an apron on. He was trying to keep down confusion and said they have to card everyone no matter if they look old enough or not. That's completely fine but the woman that was the
Great service! The food is a 10/10. The burger was awesome. Tracy attended us and was very kind and helpful.
Don't order the shrimp rice bowl! Only 3 shrimp and some kind of hot pepper that will light your mouth on fire..99% black beans and rice!!
We dined with family for a birthday. Our first and probably last time to eat here. I had a grilled salmon with vegetables and mashed potatoes, my spouse ordered a hamburger with fries and onion rings. Our beverages were Arnold Palmers. The food was good, although the hamburger was not well done but cooked medium rare, and the salmon tasted ok but I have had better, freshness, frozen, something affected the flavor. The waitress was excellent making sure all of our meals and beverages were as ordered and serv
We've been here about 5 times now. The food is good and our daughter loves the place, especially the ducks machine. It's a great place to go and get it of the house for a few hours. Good food, good beer and a nice relaxing atmosphere.
Everything was AWESOME for my Son?s 11th bday! Everyone was super friendly and available to meet the party?s need. Our Server Alyssa was the BEST!!!
Greatest experience here, I'm sorry but Dave and busters has nothing on this place. Service was phenomenal, food is excellent, your eyes can't stop to just look around. Great place for big party?s or family night. Bowling and games with prizes. My wife and kids and I enjoyed the Mario cart as you can play all together in one race. Freaking awesome place
Great experience and I love the options on how you play. The food was AMAZING and large portions we left stuffed and happy. This place had fun for the whole family; we will be back for sure!!
Been there about 10 times, every time we eat there the food is excellent. Especially like the red beer drive to Pizza excellent, tried to tacos excellent,
The food was delicious! If you have not tried the fried ribs, they are a must! The wings were really good as well. Laid back atmosphere and super sweet staff. I gave them 3 stars on service because after we sat at the bar I noticed that it was not clean where my husband was sitting. Even after we sat down, no one wiped our area of the bar down. My husband ended up doing it himself. We ordered our beverages which came quickly. Ceasars salads came quickly, but were offered to several other people before the s
My wife and I went here for a date night. Great food, helpful/polite servers, and a fun time. Would recommend to anyone, kids included.
The size is not comparable to the price. It's just OK don't think I'll be getting their pizza again.
This place was very fun. The food was delicious. We had wings and Ahi tuna nachos. The staff was very nice. Our waiter was very attentive. The bowling was not expensive at all. Two hours of bowling for 5 people, 10 drinks during happy hour and our food were all right at $200. We will go again when we're in the area. Go and check this place out.
We went for lunch today and the wings are the worst I have ever had. They tasted weird and old. My boyfriend and I both agreed that they were the worst wings we have ever eaten. The bartender, who served us was lovely and wonderful though!
What a great add, for Dothan area food/entertainment. We had a great time during our visit. The Hanger offers great food choices and the whole family can enjoy the games. Truly something for every member of the family.
Came here for drinks the 2nd time around...been here twice, the first time service was pretty bad but the second time around the service was great. Overall it's a good place to kick back and chill...I haven't tried any of the entrees yet but I had the chicken, steak, and shrimp tacos...all 3 were pretty good! The fries are also pretty good here too. Hot and fresh. Not too salty at all which is exactly how I like them, but if you like them salty then you can always add your own.
Great atmosphere. Good service. My family and I sat at a private table, the bartender (Jessica) actually approached us asking if we wanted anything to drink from the bar. Waiter was good, helpful and willing to take any request we had. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Always good food. Kinda slow but worth it!
Overall this is a good, clean and entertaining place, for the entire family! Bowling lanes are shorter than regulation and not oiled as they should be, but this isn't about pro bowling. Bar food and drinks were on par with your average pub. Nothing was out of line as far as pricing. Arcade area has a good number of various types of games for both adult and younger gamers. I would highly suggest Hangar 38 for a good family night out!
This place is ok. Service seems to be lacking in the bar. We sat for 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. A smile and "I will be with you in a moment " would go along way in this place. Pizza was terrible. So thin I'm not even sure there was crust in the center. And it wasn't cut at all. We probably should have sent it back because last time we got a pizza there it was fine. Maybe just an off night for the kitchen. Just frustrating to pay for a sub par dining experience. We probably will not go there
We tried going twice on saturdays and was still very busy Reservations are recommended
I would give 0 stars if i could . Me and my family will never go back there again. We spent $200.00 plus only for our daughter to get a small stuffed animal, what a waste of freaking money. One of the managers stayed on her phone constantly. While we was waiting to get the points redeemed the manager that helped us only wanted to rush us out. I would not recommend Hanger 38 to anybody.
What an amazing way to spend Good Friday, with some of our favorite people and most definitely one of our favorite places! Hanger 38 takes bowling & gaming and fun with friends and to the next level.
Went today for our first time! My kids give it 10 stars! Our server Tracy was fast, friendly and attentive. The food we had was amazing, the atmosphere was very nostalgic. We got the hanger family pack for $85 which includes 4 sodas, 2 pizzas and 4 cards of unlimited play for an hour. That's a fabulous price for a fun family day. We will be coming back again.
Staff was nice, my server was great, the chicken and the pork tacos was delicious. My daughter's New Orleans shrimp pasta was great, and the Sully burger was great. My grandson enjoyed the games of course. His kids cheese pizza was not so great, really need to make it better some how, maybe a thicker crust, it was extremely thin
We enjoyed the atmosphere so much that we went back the next night! Great music, nice layout & lots for the kids to do. The food, drinks and service were all top shelf! The service was exceptional. The servers were so sweet and tolerant of our larger party's questions and annoyances ?? Thank you & See you guys next year!
It took someone 45 minutes before anyone took our order for food, ridiculous ??. The place is a bit small but I had a good time.
Customer service here used to be great it is now at an all time low. Spent 175 on 1 hour of bowling and food. Our bowling balls got jammed and no one came to help so we lost time. We had to track down the waitress to pay the bill. Had a terrible time and waisted money.
Steak bowl, rice was half cooked. Service was slow, not a good experience.
So when we first got here , our waitress pretty much disappeared for 20 minutes! No drinks .. No nothing after she introduced herself ! She was definitely not all the way there lol But then Andy, the manager ended up taking care of us the entire night, drinks, appetizers and food.. on top of running the restaurant. So the customer service was great. And the food was great! Especially the wings! Then we moved over to bowling and had a great time in which he still continued to make sure we didn't need anythi
This is the place, Just stop searching cause they have it all, including really good Sushi. Plus the patio is pup friendly.
This was my second visit and both times were great! Pizza is very good and this latest trip I had the Nuclear Wings. They weren't very hot, but they were really good. They have video games and an extremely popular small bowling alley. Good selection of alcohol and servers were fast and friendly.
Great wings and fun games. They have Jurassic Park, which is my fave. The wings were good and the service was great
We were immediately greeted by our server for the evening, Brandi. She was very pleasant, and extremely helpful. She made our entire visit enjoyable, and was a wonderful server. The aesthetic of this location was very nice. The selection of games was great, and there were plenty to choose from. The bowling section was very nice, and the lanes were easily accessible by patrons. We have been to many places such as this, and the food is never anything special; however, this location is a complete game changer.
Waited 20 mins before anyone acknowledged us to get our drink order. When drinks were brought out we ordered our food. A hour past and no food. Finally food arrives and no chicken on my salad. The waitress then takes my salad back to have the chicken added 15 mins later I am able to eat! RIDICULOUS! This was our first time and it will be the last!
It was my first time visiting Hanger 38. My oldest daughter recommended it and our visit was great. If you are unfamiliar with Hanger 38, it is a restaurant with a sports bar atmosphere. In addition it has several lanes for bowling as well as tons of arcade games. We came to celebrate New Years eve. I purchased the family package which includes 2 pizzas, 4 drinks, and 4 game cards for $84. Note: the cards were for 1 hour of play. Tosha was our server and she was fantastic. She was friendly and so attent
Mrs Tracy was very friendly and has the best customer service and great communication with her customers. If you go i highly recommend you ask if she is working to be seating in her section.!
Food was just okay, because it was just ok, it was well overpriced. Our server Heather was exceptionally kind and helped us navigate the menu. She was great with our kids and over all the best part of our experience. We were not allowed to purchase a game of bowling because there was a party coming. However an hour or more went by, and another family was allowed to start and finish their game of bowling in that time. We were very disappointed as that was about 3/4 the reason we chose to go. It would be bene
We came for a birthday party on a random Wednesday night and our server JAMIE, was Amazing!! She was the best and super quick, efficient, and kind!! Would come back more if I knew she would be our waitress!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
