Hangar 38

Hangar 38

Reviews Summary

Hangar 38 is a lively entertainment venue with bowling, arcade games, and a Dave & Busters-like atmosphere. Most reviewers praise the surprisingly good food (especially wings, burgers, and pizza) and fun family-friendly environment, though some find prices high. Service is generally friendly but inconsistent—some staff shine while others disappoint. The arcade is extensive but has broken machines, and bowling can be pricey. While many love it for group events or kids' parties, a few criticize poor service or overpriced games. Overall, it’s a popular spot for casual fun with solid food, though quality varies.

First time here and my husband and I loved it! New date night spot for sure! We ordered burgers, and they were delicious ( extra points for getting the point of the meat right! Is not everyday that you get an actual medium rare when you ask for one!). Our server Kaydence was extremely kind and attentive. She knew the menu very well and was able to help us first timers decide what to order. She kept us updated on the status of the order and how long it would take, and made us feel extremely welcomed! My family loves this place! They have a great arcade and game selection and their food and drinks are so good. We spent hours here running around with the kids and having a good time , we left happy, with a lot of toys from our tickets won and we will definitely be back.

Went to lunch there for the first time and it was great! Service was excellent, food was fantastic and we even had fun playing some of the games. Definitely recommend! Especially if you want to have a fun afternoon with the kids!

We had a great time, it is our first visit since we were looking for houses in the neighborhood and we decided this place caught our attention, all the staff were friendly and they explained to us the promotions of the meals and the games. My burger was delicious and so were my daughter's chicken fingers. We had fun playing the games for a while and definitely had a good time. We are definitely going back.

Overall it's a great facility and we had a lot of fun. However the ?server? Brian has got to be the rudest person I've ever had ?serve? me. He was absolutely mean to my 6 year old because he couldn't order perfectly. We had to request a different server which I never do. Our replacement server was top tier and we couldn't have asked for better!

Went for our church outing.. Games worked properly, and the food was delicious. The only thing that I didn't like was we had a large group and most of us had a play card with an hour playtime. No matter how many games you played and won tickets...you aren't allowed to redeem them for a prize and that doesn't seem far at all. Large/Nice meeting room for groups and the bowling area is very nice.

Arrived and had a 2 min wait, literally fantastic. Great service, clean and family friendly. We'll be back for more fun!

Great venue for a 6yo bday party, staff were on point, area was clean, kids had a lot of fun! We had 22 kids and the upstairs room was perfect as it had its own bathroom.

We had a wonderful time playing games at Hangar 38! This is a great place for family fun and there is something for any age - children, teens, adults. The food and drink options are excellent and the service, too!

The bowling is great and affordable as long as you get there early, however the arcade is underwhelming for the price and all the stipulations. If you get the better deal you don't get to earn tickets towards prizes and no vr even though you spend a good bit on the cards. You can't play half the games with the deal cards, and the ones you can play , some were out of order. My recommendation, go to District 850 if your going to spend the money they have a lot more to offer for your buck.

I just want to thank Hanger 38 for great customer service. My family reserved 4 lanes for bowling during our family reunion and we had a BLAST. The manger and young lady at the front desk were very patient and professional to get us all situated. A few errors with the lanes but they were quickly resolved. My only issue were the old shoes but no biggie, I'll just bring my own the next time??. We will be returning again. Great customer service means everything to me and you ladies were AWESOME. #CrawfordFamil

Definitely a restaurant to go eat and PLAY for adults and kids. Bar and play areas. It's perfect for fun for every one.

We had a great family game of bowling. The price was good and everyone was friendly. We did not eat there, but we will next time. We will be back.

Everything was great. There was just one nuance, the aluminum plates were in very poor condition and dirty. It was not pleasant to eat delicious food from them. Dear owners of the establishment, replace the aluminum plates with new ones!!!

We had a great time! the food was wonderful, Katie our waitress was great and sweet.

Okay, First off, Just because I didn't know about this place made this an Ace in the hole for a date night?..Hell Evan a Family night! Area feels safe. Good looks delightful. Lots of activities Bowling and Big kKids drinks available Super Friendly staff . I'm greedy so I'm plotting on the menu. Yes, check it out especially if you wanna have a little fun!????Yes and if it's not on point they will fix!!!!!

Good food. Fun atmosphere with arcade games and bowling. A great place for the family to enjoy.

Very new and it shows. I think this place had been open for just a few weeks when I visited. This place looks great but may be better for some than others. 8 bowling lanes which are a bit cramped, it's hard to fit more than 5 to a lane. Plus it doesn't seem like the bowling lanes are really setup or maintained to any standard. It is nice that you can get table service at the bowling table. There's an arcade, dining area and a private party room. There a quite a few TV's right over the lanes which is a fun f

The food (seared tuna nachos) was surprisingly good and the drink prices weren't bad either. Great place to eat while the kids have fun!

Was with a large party, My gluten free meal not good, over priced dry fish, tasteless frozen veggies, bland rice. My friends Tuna meal looked good, BLT, no, pizza no sushi rice was awful. This isn't a place for good food. I'll never be back

?While playing a round of golf a few years ago, three local businessmen struck up a conversation about the lack of family entertainment in Northeast Tallahassee. After they finished their round of golf, they got to work on creating a plan to develop something Tallahassee had never seen before. Their idea consisted of an entertainment center that was made up of 1/3 bowling, 1/3 monster game room, and 1/3 restaurant with some of the best food Tallahassee has to offer. After about a year of planning, the grou

Great bar selection and diverse menu. Fun atmosphere for family?s. Ate at bar had wings and salad. Was good but not knock out of park good. Will give it an other try. Games are fun and place is very clean with attentive staff.

Super clean inside and out! Lots of games to choose from... a little pricy but love the option of bowling and arcade. The prize room is a neat idea!

Music far too loud, staff more interested in flirting with each other than providing refills, arents drinking while kids going wild playing video games

Been here numerous times, once for a birthday party and mostly on dates. My wife and I have fun every time we come here! The food is high quality, but we don't always eat. What really brings us back is the arcade. Definitely our favorite arcade in Tallahassee! There's usually one or two machines down but any time I've had an issue with a machine the staff either fixes for it or recontributes our credits. We like to get an hour play card to play at least an hour and often get the credits game card to get pri

If anyone is looking for a birthday party location for a kiddo, please consider Hangar 38 at Bannerman Crossings. I was absolutely so overly impressed by the care, service, attentiveness and independence provided by the staff. First, the rooms are HUGE, comfortable and private. I was able to decorate and not feel rushed. The server came back multiple times throughout the day to ask if anyone would like anything different/more and was very kind. The pizza was really good and adequately portioned for the par

I recently booked a company party at Hangar 38 and had a wonderful experience. Booking was straight forward and I really appreciated the quick response times. Pricing felt fair and appropriate. The timing and service were spot on during the event. The food and drinks were never lacking. Our team enjoyed the arcade games and bowling. The goal of team building and hanging out outside of work was definitely met! Thanks again to the Hangar 38 crew for providing an awesome experience for our group!

Food was mostly not good. Bathrooms are very small considering how many kids are there. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Ended up here after having been in the area and I'm glad I finally went. This is not the place to bowl, if you're looking to put effort into bowling. The area is cramped. But if that's not important to you, that aspect is fun to add onto your gaming and eating. I think for me personally this place doesn't work but it does seem like a cool outlet for families to do a lot at one time. ETA: We had my son's 13th birthday here because it was generally cheaper than the -ahem- OTHER arcade place in town. It work

Ordered the shrimp and grits! DELICIOUS with a great touch of spice ??. Not usually a fan of 'grit cakes' but these were the best I've ever had hands down. And the service was A1!

Hangar 38 is a great spot for kids and adults alike. The unlimited play is a great value for all you can play arcade games, but the only downside is you can't earn points to redeem for prizes on the unlimited play.

First time in there, and it wasn't what I expected. I thought there would be a little more arcade games, but I was a little disappointed. The bowling lanes are cool, but they take up so much space in a small building. The food, on the other hand, was phenomenal! We got the family deal where you get 2 pizzas and 4 playing cards. I can not remember what two pizzas we got, but they were the bomb! The wings were amazing as well. Our waitress could have done a little better at keeping up with our drinks, and she

SO much fun! We planned on bowling for a couple of games and having a bite to eat....ended up staying for several hours playing games and having a blast! Food was great.

Bowling is a ripoff! Sunday morning $30 for an hour and now they charge additional $4 per person regardless if you want shoes or have your own. For a family of 4 thats $46 for 1 hour of fake (pins on strings) bowling on poorly functioning glitchy lanes! The arcade games are also very expensive and worn/broken. This place used to be fun and affordable, but now a waste of money! No thanks, we'll go somewhere else!

I'm so grateful to have found Hangar 38 for our son?s rehearsal dinner. For less than the room fee of another location , we were able to have a delicious meal and gift our guests gaming and bowling. The meeting space was comfortable for our group of 30+ and provided a quiet place to talk when not enjoying the activities. We ordered the sushi, salad, egg roll combo platter and the taco bar. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful and the presentation was beautiful. We heard so many compliments fro

$50 for two people to bowl for an hour? At capital lanes, it's $20 total for two people to bowl three games INCLUDING shoe rental. $50 is ridiculous!

Really cool place love the games and the bowling looks like a five star restaurant inside we had a blast the service was very bad bartenders was more concerned with talking to each other than serving drinks. Other then that Really cool place

idk why i even ordered sushi from here but this is actually the worst sushi i have ever had in my life

Go if you want to bowl. Food isn't outstanding and the games are oriented towards collecting tickets for cheap trinkets. They do have air-hockey, though. Bowling lanes very limited in terms of wheelchair accessibility.

I love the atmosphere, food and fun. All round a great place to go with the family

Overall it was a fun atmosphere for a date howeverrrr, the food was not great at all, the salsa was very watered down with little to no flavor. My lemon drop martini was also a little watered down. It was SUPER hot, not sure if the AC is broken or not but it was just as hot inside, as the outside. As a Florida native I understand it gets very hot during Sunmer but sheesh, it's definitely not ideal for relaxing fun, especially in such a small building. Also as someone else mentioned , everything is overprice

This place had amazing food. Not only did it taste great but they had a variety of choices so everyone can find something that they like. We decided to use the 1 hour unlimited play cards which were great! Only exclusions with these cards is you dont get tickets for prizes and you cant use the VR games unless you pick another option. All game cards were explained fully. Price for the 3 of us to eat and get cards was under 125$ total which is a great deal for a couple hours of fun!

Monday bingo nights super fun for the fam thank you hangar!

We bowled for an hr & it was fun! The atmosphere is really nice. We didn't go to the bar/food side but there were a lot of people there so that's gotta be a good sign. They had the game playing on the TVs. It was really nice.

Food was good, just a bit pricey for what you get. This is like an adult Chuckee Cheese, but is a great place for kids and adults if you want to play games and eat. Just bring a fat wallet with you

Great hangout. Tenders and fries (seasoned well) were good. Lunch specials are good too.

We went here for a child's birthday and had so much fun!! We only had pizza, which was delicious, but the menu was making my mouth water. We were already talking about our next trip without the kids! ?? My 2 yo had the best time running around "playing" the games, but it would be nice to have a couple of games geared toward the little ones.

I mean the food was delicious, but it is like 16 to 20 bucks per meal. Most of the drinks were 10 bucks each. Only ate at the bar and did some arcade games. But 3 of the games we tried didn't work right. And the staff was friendly enough but I felt bad because it did look like they were all being over worked. But this is probably the fanciest arcade in tally. And it was huge. Despite a kid throwing up next to us. We all had a great time and I would recommend going here still.

Our family and friends are having a blast. We all love the bowling lanes and the wide variety of games!

Staff is always attentive and friendly. All the food we've tried is delicious!! Decent selection of drinks. Large tv?s and fun arcade games. Also within walking distance of other bars and shops, so overall it's a great place for an evening out.

This review is for the bowling. Do not bowl in lanes 1 & 2. Bowling was expensive and the lanes had major glitches with the score board and the lanes. The balls kept on disappearing. The management is aware of this.

The food was a little bit pricey but it was delicious nonetheless. The atmosphere was a little crowded but that's to be expected of an arcade. My only issue was the prize ticket prices were just about outrageous. I mean you're not expecting too much I have an arcade prize selection but I spent $40 and didn't rack up but 200 plus tickets in that literally only bought candy.

Tyler was our bartender. He was excellent! It was game night so it was packed. He was still personable and able to accommodate. Arcade was awesome. It was just me and the wife and we were embracing our inner child ??

Ordered food , waited 30 minutes, no food order was misplaced. Was a bike night and I was hungry enough to chew my own arm off . I had to watch most the bar get served and actually start to leave before I was informed that my order was misplaced and would have to wait until another order to be put in . I Went to stake & Shake was served asap . Much better service.

I have dined at Hanger 38 about 6 times, including tonite Nov.25, 2023. The atmosphere is great, but the service at the bar is terrible. The servers talk too much among themselves, and customers have to get their attention to be served. There is a skinny White, Female with tattoos on both arms who is the worst. She has had attitude with me on 2 ocassions. I was going to report her once before, but I did not. I ordered pizza tonight, watched a party be seated after I was there waiting for about 40 minutes

We frequent this place often, but were overcharged for happy hour wine. When we complained, we were told there is no house cab, which we ordered. Bartender was uninterested and Manager could have cared less. Difference is substantial. Maybe if we weren't regulars. Customer service was nonexistent.

take-out order. a very overwhelming interior dining and bar space. service was poorly attentive, food was mediocre at best - the kitchen wasn't prompt in expo and sandwich came out with NO toppings. No toppings? but the menu stated toppings, so what gives? no time to stand and wait again, but plenty of time to write an honest review. not wasting my time or money here again. headed to Smitty's up the road.

Bowling was great, the game was great! I gave it a 3 star because of the noise. It was super loud in their. If the owner would of had carpet on the floors or hung sound deflector panels from the ceilings to reduce the echo of loudness. Then it would be more peaceful to enjoy. I stay in their for about 2 hours with my charter. After that I had to go back to my charter bus. The noise gave me a splitting headache. Other that it was great. Oh I did notice, their was a bar among the kids. Wasn't too fond of seei

First time visiting this restaurant and I was impressed! Very kid friendly so many arcade games and the bowling was a ton of fun. We paid by the hour to bowl and had a large party go. I have to come back because there was so much on the menu I wanted to try. The cheese curds were bomb. Pictured is a Buffalo shrimp and Buffalo chicken taco. Parking on a Friday night at 6:30 was tough however I only think it was because there was a holiday even the same night.

Hanger 38 has a great family atmosphere with really good wings and loaded fries. My family and I had a really fun and relaxing time bowling and eating. The server was very friendly and helpful. The drinks and food came in a timely fashion. If anything the cocktails were a bit on the weaker side but they still tasted nice. This makes for a good time out if you're looking for something to do. It's also located in a really nice shopping center with a lot of options before or after you bowl.

I'd like to start off by saying, my husband and I are a black couple, over 6ft, both with locs. I understand that we intimidate people just from our looks but to be outright disrespected was beyond me. It started off as a great visit. We walked in around 3:30 in hopes of getting the lane for the hour but were told we would only get 30 minutes and would have to pay again at the new rate beginning at 4:00. We decided to eat and play games instead. We sat at the corner of the bar, away from everyone. My husban

I was a little hesitant to go to this establishment when it opened, however I went tonight for a birthday party if a friends child. It was fun! The bowling got a little loud at some points as there's no partition to stop the sound, but otherwise it was great. The games looked really fun and the teens had a blast. Note: the cheese pizza was not loved, but the pepperoni was enjoyed. Good atmosphere and fun arcade style restaurant and bar. I would recommend this place for families and small parties.

This time, my husband and I met a friend for lunch - no grandkids in tow for games. We had been told the food was delicious and I have to say, we were very pleasantly surprised. Our bartender, Meghan, was helpful and good company. Our visit was such a pleasant experience. We will definitely be regular lunch goers now.

Came out for my nephew graduation celebration and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was great, the server was very attentive and the drinks were perfect. The kids really enjoyed their selves and the pizza. We will return soon.

This place is fun for the whole family. While there is a full bar with TVs for adult enjoyment, it is separated from the arcade games the children of all ages would enjoy playing . Hangar38 also offers a nice selection of food choices for any palate. I had a cheeseburger with FF, very tasty and a bottomless coke. The small bowling alley is also a lot of fun. Plenty of easy parking.

Great food! We had a chicken parmesan sandwich and a plain burger and both were really good. You get what you pay for too. The arcade is small but packed with lots of games. Machines payed out by skill and not whenever they get enough money in them. Prizes were awesome and cheap too. I didn't try bowling this time but from what I saw it seemed really good. Over all it was a really fun experience and I WILL be going back soon.

I loved it here soooo much ! I'm definitely coming back ! the vibes were cool and chill not overcrowded. Despite how late we arrived we were still able to get some food and shots and when i tell you the food was AMAZING but it was mouth watering . The Caribbean flavored wings were packed with flavor and had the sweet kick that i was looking for . Also with that ?Jet Fuel? burger made medium well was so filling i almost couldn't leave the place and last but not least the Caribbean steak taco was just missin

Fun place for everyone but a little confusing at first I ended up wasting 30$ on a 2hr unlimited card just to find out it only works on about 6 games and that you have to get a diffrent card for the ticketed games? I cant imagine being a kid and having to explain that to mom and dad.... Aside from that little inconveniece the food was good and the attmosphere was vibin hoping next time i can try the bowling

Good burgers, but that's all I've had so far. Large menu. Something for everyone. However, noisy from all the ppl, but it's expected.

We held an event for our firm at Hangar 38 last night, and it was fantastic! It was a mix of adults and kids, and we did unlimited game cards and bowling. Sarah and Alexis took excellent care of the whole group. They reserved the Captain's Lounge private room for us - and laid out a superior buffet for the group that was perfect and absolutely tasty. Staff was very attentive and always available to make the experience very enjoyable for all of us. There was one issue with the game cards not including some o

I took my family to this location to go bowling. I was charged $30 for an hour of bowling (not counting shoe rental and taxes) even though the listed price was $22 for an hour and $12 for half an hour. Time starts as soon as you pay. So if you have a issue with your lane, the time continues even if you can't play while having to switch lanes. We also had problems with the ball return. This also ate into our time. We played without "playing around" and halfway through the game everything shut off. No

My daughter was VERY happy with the arcade & was equally impressed with her chicken sandwich. They were able to prepare it to her satisfaction. I, however, wasn't so lucky. First of all, I'm not a fan of amusement venues. I looked over the menu before our visit online & didn't see much I was interested in. I finally decided on Chicken Parmesan. I mean no one can mess up pasta. But alas, it wasn't on the menu. So, from the menu presented when we arrived, I chose another favorite from the appetizer section. I

The bowling is weird, the pins are attached to strings and they don't always set down perfectly. The front pin on ours was always just a bit off center. Fine for fun, but not if you are a serious bowler. The arcade is decent, the food is good and there's a bar so it has a little bit of everything to make entities on the family happy. It is quite small compared to other amusement centers but it's big enough to spend a few hours with the kids and drop a wad of cash.

Some machines were not working. There are some machines that are not little kid friendly, but the 3 year old loved the air hockey. It's not big, but it has bowling lanes. Decent atmosphere.

I took my daughter and some friends bowling and to eat lunch. The staff was very helpful and kind. One hour of bowling is $13 and some change per kid on a Tuesday late morning. The music wasnt too loud like most alleys. This is a smaller bowling alley with an arcade and just a few tables to eat at. The food was pretty good. Service was excellent but the prices are steep. $60 for 3 teen girls and me. The place is very clean. Overall we had a good experience.

Was pleasantly surprised, typically these type of places don't have the best food. Not only was the food off the charts, but the service was too! Unique menu with fresh prepared foods. Lisa was our server and she was beyond amazing!!!! We will definitely be back!

Great food. Myself and another charter bus driver brought in 79 kids and eight adults after they toured the grounds of FSU. It reminds me of a smaller version of Dave and Buster's!! I had the Philly cheese steak It could have used some more steak in there and onion rings. My friend had the shepherd's pie egg rolls and they were good too!

We had a blast! Great drinks while we waited for our table. Nice staff. Our waitress Amazing "Grace" wasn't very attentive (she actually forgot to place an order) She put it in only after we asked about it AND everyone else had finished their meal. Overall a great time and nice atmosphere!

We visited for bowling and food. The food was ok, boneless wings and tacos were tasty but the steak bowl was bland. The drink menus don't have prices on them so we didnt even try. The bowling was fine, nothing special except the price, very expensive even on a Monday night. The server was either new or incompetent. Never asked us if we wanted anything to drink, we asked for refills on our empty waters and he brought back a single glass. Took our plates without asking if we were done (I wasn't.) Probably won

The food was awesome (we ended up getting the Locked and Loaded and sharing a Player 3 - burger and onion rings). More than enough food (we took to-go boxes home) and the $30 game card was enough for the two of us to have about an hour of game play. When a game broke and took some credits, we were refunded no questions asked. I wish I remembered our servers name, she was great!

Great family atmosphere! Hangar 38 is always clean, the food is delicious and my kids love the games and bowling. The customer service is top-notch. We've always found them to go above and beyond to make sure we're having a great time!

My waitress Megan was very attentive to our table. The service she gave you don't find to often. But when you do, it needs to be recognized and acknowledged. Give her employee of the month

It was an awesome experience. Excellent place for company get together/events. Terry was very prompt and professional. Our host, was very attentive and amazing! Definitely recommended! We were in the private room for the program, then arcade, then eat then bowling! Till the next time!!!

Food was great, drinks were good, no major complaints! I did find it interesting that the use strings on the bowling pins, but it makes sense! Lots of games and things to do! Fun for kids and adults. Highly recommended!

I was very disappointed with the service. I reserved a birthday party for my son. I left a message for the party coordinator who never called but instead texted me, asking for a time and day. On the day of the party, I was asked if I had a party package which I assured my 'Party Captain' I did. The information was not communicated to the 'Party Captain', nor did the Coordinator tell me there were different packages I could choose from. The 'Party Captain' which is a part of your package often could not be f

Loud game bowling place with all seating adjacent to noisiest part. Good for kids events and part es. Minus two stars for almost all seating being high tops. Pretty dumb for a kids place

Just had my first hangar 38 experience! We brought our 1 and 3 year old. We met my sister and brother in law and niece and nephew who are also 1 and 3. Savannah was our server and she literally was the perfect server. She was attendant without being annoying. Helpful, friendly, just perfect. Will definitely be back! It was the perfect Friday night with kids!

A fun place with good food. It is very loud because it's a DavenBusters type place with lots of game options plus bowling! Our server was amazing we had a large party of almost 20 and she got all ours orders correct and kept our cups full. Slightly limited beer menu for Tallahassee but had some good options

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
