Customer Reviews

I've been a league bowler at this center for years. It is well maintained and the staff are very friendly and professional. I want to acknowledge a particular employee there, Tyler. He is a very courteous and helpful person. I see him working all of the time and even though he is busy, he always takes care of my friends and I every visit. Representatives like this make me feel welcomed and I appreciate that.

We had a wonderful experience bowling yesterday! Trying out Silver Lanes was well worth it. All staff were professional, friendly, and very polite. The pro shop is fantastic -Dave is knowledgeable & helpful -hands down excellent. His expertise was much appreciated. We also purchased the summer pass & look forward to many games at this great facility ??????

I went last week and there was a staff member named Bryce G. His customer service and his food service was excellent i would most definitely go back. him and his team is the best made me and my family feel comfortable they brought my food fast and drinks. My family loved this place most definitely will be going back

Awesome bowling alley. Old school in design and charm but updated enough to stay up to date with competitors. Huge place with lanes on both sides. Staff has always been very nice. Also support local charities with fundraisers. Parking lot is big with more parking behind building. Thanks guys!

I booked my daughter's 5th birthday party here, and it was a terrible experience. The food was late, even though I had planned ahead. I also paid for unlimited drinks, but my party only received drinks twice. When I went back for a refill, the manager was extremely rude, yelling at me instead of helping. From the moment we walked in, the manager's attitude was unprofessional and unwelcoming. This was my first time here, and it will definitely be my last. I do not recommend booking a birthday party here?it w

Wasn't terrible, wasn't great. The bumpers for my little one weren't working as the air compressor was broken. The lanes were well kept. Sadly, the place reeked of pot (I don't care personally, but my family didn't like it). If I land another Groupon, I'd go again.

I come every year new years day with the men from my group homes. After my experience last year I swore I was never coming back. I took a chance and came back. The food was out of this world. I've been to Sicily and didn't get pizza this good. Bryce took his time and catered to our needs. The manager and the guy at the register definitely did not fall short of providing outstanding customer service. Silver Lane you definitely have an outstanding crew now. I don't mind spending $$$$$$$ here. It was a pleasura

We had a great time!! We by accident had originally booked for the east haven one, but the operations manager tyler Tuttle was able to get our party of 10!! He was such a great manager I would definitely feel like bowling there everytime now!

My first and last time. I will not be coming to this location. I would not have had an issue with returning if it wasn't for horrible customer service. A man working the register just seemed like he didn't want to help with simply entering names to bowl. I was getting backlash and attitude for simple question.

Well I didn't bowl went there just to hang with family. I love the new setup. How they split the lanes. It's been awhile since I've been there. I would recommend this place for people to go and have fun if they like bowling

Bowled a tournament at this center over the weekend and it was by far one of the worst centers I have ever been in. 1: Center was opened for a half hour and the outside doors were locked, get in through the bar and the manager says ?I just haven't gotten to opening the doors? 2: There was a toilet clogged to the top when the center just opened so that was left overnight untouched. 3: When asking if there is anyone at the snack bar a women was met with ?There will be when we have staff? with attitude. 4

It was a good place to Bowl! Good prices. Food is decent and the bar is good. Had a bit of technical interruption but they sorted it out as quick as they can. Overall a good experience!

?No outside food allowed??. Ok I get it, but unless you're part of a party, don't expect to be fed. The kitchen stops taking orders for anyone who's not in a party. How can you have an establishment that doesn't allow outside food but you're turning away all guests who aren't part of a huge party. If your kitchen can't support the crowd, I should be allowed to bring my own pizza!!!

I definitely recommend to come here they are kid friendly food is fresh and nice and hot made to order & the staff take care of the customers even if it's a mistake I enjoyed my night out I will return thanks to all the staff appreciate you guys !

Fun clean and great spot to go bowling. Wasn't too packed so enjoyable to take the family. Had an arcade area too. Food was good.

Disappointing Experience with Poor Customer Service Our visit to this bowling alley was an incredibly frustrating experience. The lane we were assigned got stuck three times during our game. While the clerk at the desk promptly fixed it the first time, the manager, Jonathan, handled the situation very poorly after that. When we informed him of the issue the second time, he rudely yelled at us, saying, ?It's fixing.? The third time the lane got stuck, we politely requested a lane change, but he aggressively

You don't just get fun, you get service and exceptionally great pizza! Minor shoe supply shortage for kids upon arrival, my event was prepaid but Tyler, the manager on shift immediately escalated to GM, Jonathan Centerbury. They added 30 minutes to the clock and gave us complimentary arcade cards for all the kids in the party. THIS is CUSTOMER CARE!

Ordered food and was told one thing wasn't on the menu so i would get a refund within 7-10 business days. i haven't gotten a refund yet 2 weeks later, called to speak to the manager jonathan an he has no knowledge apparently this happened, nor does he have the technology to check. Staff should be communicating to jonathan before promising a money refund. No thanks ???

Food service was terrible my son in law and I ordered some pizza take over 45 minutes and they burned took 45 minutes for 4 sodas we had to contact the manager. Bowling alley ok but food service horrible

Went here for a child's birthday party. Start off was horrible. The mom actually had to find someone to "host" this party. The room was dull and boring. Laser tag was boring. They didn't have the smoke machines on it was just them with vests that lit up way too much brightness. Bowling was ok, but we were rushed by "host" even when eating they rushed us. Not a fan and never going back.

This was by far the worst bowling experience I've ever had. Jonathan, the manager, lacks basic customer service skills. He was rude and constantly yelled at the people in my group. He also failed to address the issue of our lane repeatedly shutting down. When we approached him, he continued to be hostile, refused to provide assistance, and wouldn't issue a refund. The police were called, and we later learned it was the second time they arrived that night due to Jonathan?s rude behavior toward other custome

My daughter and I went there. Nice place, but the rentals shoes are not comfortable like other bowling alleys. You have to pay up front before I you bowl and that's okay. However, bowling per person was $10.50 per game per person. That's a high price when others in the area are so much lower. We did bowl 2 games as we were already there but won't be going back because of their prices.

It's crazy how last week they denied me and my family service due to them assuming that we were drinking alcohol in the parking lot just for me and my partner to come back the following week and they only have rum and coke available and bottled beer due to the bartender calling out but wonder why they have lack of customers please shut this place down or get better ppl to run it it's distasteful

John is amazing! He works the front desk and he provided great customer service! It ensured I had a good time.

As a former employee of amf silver lanes 27 years at this location.I recently visited Hall of Fame silver lanes with my 3 grand children for some bowling. This turned out to be a big mistake to bring the kids. The cost to bowl 9 games and shoe rental for the kids was $126.26.This is with no food or drinks. No one ever asked us. Also. I have spent a good part of my life working in this bowling center and bowling in many leagues. This place is filthy dirty. The restrooms were disgusting. The floor in the bowling a

A great spot for bowling the bathroom isn't extremely clean, but everything else is. the customer service is great. Also, the wings are top-notch, but the price is a bit excessive 8 wing for $15

What was to be a great Saturday night turn into a nightmare. Manager Johnathan unprofessional behavior and act of racism toward my party and I was beyond disappointed. I been here multiple time over the past years and nov 16 was it for me. A simple fix turn into a big deal. After multiple lane inconveniences we ask for a lane change, the manger Johnathan rudely refuses to accommodate us. Unfortunately law enforcement had to get involved because he refused to change our lane or give us a refund. We also had

Cool place! Arcade, bowling, glow bowling, Lazer tag. Found great deal on Groupon but you can't use it the same day as purchase so buy it early.

My daughter had her birthday party at "Hall of Fame Silver Lanes" in November of 2016. The owners, Tony and his wife Suzanne and their staff are amazing and totally customer-focused. My daughter's party turned out great! The party attendant was helpful and was able to manage a busy group of kids and parents. The new game room and laser tag area was a blast!! The kids loved the games, snack bar and laser tag. The party package was a great value and we didn't feel rushed like we have at other places. Tony was

Nice and bigger alley. Food options are good too. Groupon coupons for 2 hrs- 4 person under $40.

My daughter an I had a blast it's plenty of specials I chose Tuesday $2.22 nice calm crowd I will be back soon

Jonathan is the manager of these lanes. I needed help with my scoring this weekend , and he handled it so courteously. Its hard to find someone in a position like this that take so much time to care about your customer experience. We always hit him for change on Tuesday night in the Hy Sloate League. Never an issue Good Guy.

A little jammed up. They could have spread the teams out during the morning tournament and had them spaced out, as the facility was open for the tournament only.

Place seems old and out dated, the bar area looks great but doesn't get that much business.

I bowl in a league and practice during the week. If there is an issue, someone is there immediately to fix it. The staff and management are great and accommodating when possible. Silver Lanes is better than the other facilities in the area that try to be more of a party place.

Best time to go is at 8pm on saturdays or 8pm throughout the week for the unlimited bowling, Overall great place and the staff is very friendly. Loved this place.

Not sure if the gentleman working the counter this afternoon was having a bad day or not, but I witnessed the family in front of me being treated pretty rude with a condescending tone by him to the point that myself and the older lady behind me decided to leave. It appeared that it was unprovoked so I can only assume the worker had something else going on. I'm from out of town so I can't say if this is normal or not, but even though it wasn't directed towards me, it was a bit distasteful and I don't think I

Bowling alley as amazing. Staff limited and very disorganized. At one point the manager came over and mentioned to my family that our bill was almost $360. We expected that because there were 18 of us. I'm not sure what he was implying but we were still in the middle of a game. We pay our bills sir.

If I can give this place a 0. I would. Not the first time I come in this building and the so called general manager Johnathan is rude. His tone and attitude towards his customers is disrespectful. I will never visit this place. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

Tonight was by far the worse experience I've ever had at an establishment. When we arrived we were already profiled and handled with so much disrespect. The manager Johnathan Canterbury- Passoth was so rude and it didn't stop there. I informed him before stepping outside for a second that my group was gonna play another game and while standing outside he tried to process my card twice even after telling us we can pay separately if we'd like at the end. When asked why is he processing the full amount he call

We reserved a lane for a birthday party (6 people) unfortunately some of The people in our party were 30 minutes late so we were late to start our game. By 7:30 our time was up because our lane was reserved for the league. The GM Jonathan helped us move everything into the lounge/bar area so we could continue celebrating. The place was much cleaner than the alley we usually go to, the food was better, and the staff was friendly.

Nice place to have fun you could go there alone or go there with friends or family the staff is very nice they also have an arcade they have a good selection of food and drinks and they also have a bar for only adults went there very late at night and I had a blast it was fun I would definitely come here again in the future the only thing that I don't like is the food prices can be a little expensive

Manager was extremely rude here. Argued continuously when trying to have a conversation and also yells at their customers

Update 12/12/24 - my review about renovations has to go away. The little updates they did were all they stuck with. Place has looked like it's halfway through a remodel for years. A coat of paint and new screens and that's been it. The tables aren't enough space for leagues and we are all tripping over each other to bowl. The new owners are letting the place fall apart. Constant staff turnover. The bar hasn't had heat for over a month. The lanes break down so often we have to change spots during league bow

Came in at 9-9:30 ish and wasn't able to get any food or drinks so my family had to sit here very hot and thirsty. We were told they close at 12 midnight and was kicked out at 10:58. We paid 90$ and couldn't even finish our bowl. The girl at the front desk ignored us for about 5-10 minutes before we got our shoes and had an attitude which is rude to deal with

It was my second time bowling at Silver Lanes and overall had a good time but there was a lot that could've been improved. We arrived and payed for our lane and shoes, and they were out of my size shoe, so no big deal, I went 1 size up. We got to our lane, and our designated table was up away from the lane so we had to interrupt two other parties each time we had to bowl. We ordered food early in the first game, and it did not come out until after the end of our second game (approximately 1 hour or more aft

Great place for outing with the family and friends

Surprisingly clean and good for the full gamut between bowling league to little girls birthday party. Arcade is sufficient for kids, bar is sufficient for everything else, and even the pool tables are plentiful and in good shape. Fun place, good times

Huge facility, nice bar, little food counter and rather clean. Employees were angry and not helpful at all. Under staffed.... refused to make pizzas for our group or fill pitchers with drinks because they were busy. Sad...such potential.

BRING YOUR OWN FOOD!! Or eat beforehand. Took my whole family out for a 2hr party reservation & had to cancel our food order after waiting 1.5 hrs. Severely over priced for this service. The people behind the order counter were very rude & unprofessional. Should've gone to Spare Time :/

I went here with my children on Saturday night. It was a little over priced. They were in a rush with big party orders, that they wouldn't take my order. Also the smoking in front entrance and exit horrible specially when you with your children.

We had a great time bowling and enjoying the arcade. Very clean establishment. Thank you Tyler for the wonderful customer service! We'll be back soon!

A nice bowling alley, with two rows of lanes, a large bar/restaurant, and what look to be good food options. Nice pro shop and the usual fixins. They do need to upgrade the sound system, but as I bring earplugs, it's all good.

Was a nice way to spend the afternoon with my son over spring break, but there are a bit pricey on their games and the snack bar.

I went to Bowlero in East Hartford this Saturday around noon and called ahead. They told me they had open lanes. I had to wait 15 minutes for Jonathon to come to the counter. I had been coming there for years and Jonathon asked me exactly how many games I would be bowling and asked me to pay upfront . Weird behavior first off and then he claimed to be the manager. When i asked him not to put me right next to kids party he told me to take the lane or leave it . I asked for my money back and left. He was rud

This was a good time. It's was busy, in my opinion, for a Sunday afternoon. The neighboring lanes people were all very nice and having a good time. Check in and check out was not the funnest. It also cost $65 for an adult and 2 minors. Idk if that's high or low or average for a price. I found it to be a bit high as we only played for about an hour. Again, it was a good time. I'll be going again soon and suggest others do as well. Thanks for reading.

The bowling alley was ok. the food was horrible and overpriced. Small drink $5, med $6.50 and large $8. The toothless manager schedule that night was extremely rude. His demeaning and unnecessary comments to staff in front of the guests created an uncomfortable atmosphere. There were numerous conversations led by apologies regarding the manager narcotics uses influencing his behavior. Horrible experience!

We love coming to Silver Lanes. We reside in Waterford right now so driving an hour "just to bowl" should definitely prove we love this place. The staff is friendly, there's always people bowling, and even when it's busy the staff is kind and patient. They have great deals all week and we've been lucky enough to take advantage of their unlimited bowl deal on Friday and Saturday ($16 per person unlimited bowling)! Tuesdays are their triple play days. $3.33 per game per person and $3.33 for shoes! Can't bea

We had a great time there with the family church outing and the pizza was good too

The lovely place has a large space, which is very nice

Don't go outside to get your wallet because if you don't pay your bill the assistant manager or come and slap it on your chest and say you didn't pay your bill but it wasn't my bill to pay the woman who was drinking was inside the bowling alley her husband went outside to get his wallet they harassed us And started looking in our car and then they kicked us out when they were the one harassing us. The woman who works in the bar doesn't give people a chance to pay their bill always say if people are running

Had a great time at this bowling alley today. We came as part of an employee outing and it was great. I worked with the manager, Tony, to set things up and he was great to work with. He was very responsive and accommodating, given that we didn't have an exact headcount. They have good lanes, plenty of balls, and some fancy new shoes (just for certain sizes though). The staff was very attentive and we were well taken care of. As part of our package we also had food. I have to say, the wings were phenomenal!

DON'T GET THE FOOD! Just hope my mom will feel better tomorrow. She's the only one who ate buffalo chicken wings, have been sick since then! CUSTOMER SERVICE! Very friendly and helpful customer service at the check in. When they saw my little one needed help they brought the stand for the ball. I'm very thankful for that.

Bowled in a TNBA Tournament there and had a great time. The place is real nice! The staff was helpful and friendly, food was great! Also needed some work on my bowling ball and the pro shop owner was great! Will be back again from New York for another tournament! Wish they had a place like this in Albany NY!!

Come here with my family here and there. My son loves the fact that he has the option to use the bumpers or not. Also he loves the arcade that's located in there. Very nice and bright. Facility is clean. Staff is attentive and respectful. Love the vibes

The lanes are perfectly fine and the availability for the lanes is fine, however the staff is lazy and unmotivated, late and very unprofessional, the cook arrived an hour late and had his coworker tell us to wait 20-30 more because he wasn't "ready" while all the cooking machines were already on. The kitchen was down for the majority of the day, why take down the sign if there's still either no cook or the cook doesn't want to work? He has orders piling up and to make matters worse, there were children cele

I love the bartender Ava! She provided me excellent customer service! Very friendly

Great bowling alley. There is also laser tag. They host professional tournament events sometimes. Food was alright, drinks were great, and price tab was utterly ridiculous. A serving of wings and fries goes for $15, same for ONE drink, and a single game starts at 20-25. Then you add the number of players and shoe rentals. Easily 300 bucks for a foursome.

Good family fun. Bring money because it's pricey. Starts at $7 per person and $ 5 for shoes then $7 per each game. There is also the adult vibe which exist with the kids vibes. Separate. Love that. Great space for family and grown up fun.

Went there on Saturday 9/17 bowling was good but the pizza and wings were terrible and the soda was hot. When my Sister went to buy popcorn the cook rudely replied "the kitchen is closed," because not one person in the place had given him a tip. I will not be returning! I will definitely go to Revolutions or Spare Time where we usually go.

If I could rate a minus minus I would! Horrible staff and service, everything was closed, they should update their google account, we couldn't even have water sold to us because of a party they had to attend, like nxt time close the whole alley and rent it to that party since we couldn't even get not one single service, I cnt believe I'm still sitting here still waiting for my kids be attend smh, never again HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!!

Michelle and Tiffany were AMAZING, very eager and willing to make our birthday celebration was everything and then some. The kitchen worked hard and got us our food timely and hot, and the kids enjoyed every last bite. I'm coming back SOON

Service person was rude, tried to charge us the after 6 pm.price when it wasn't 5 pm yet. Prices are way too high: $7.69 per game before 6 pm and $9.69 per game after 6 pm and shoes are $5.99 to rent while the majority of place charge $4. I called to ask about the pros hope hours and was told 5pm they opened so we waited until 4:45 pm to arrive, driving from 30 min away to find the hours are 10:30 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday .... maybe the pro shop hours should be known by staff? Ball selection size was te

First time there with my coworker. Mills is a great bartender. I did not bowl this time.i had food which was ok. Wings werent fully encased in sauce and quesadillas could have had more steak/ ingredients to not make the out rim so bland. Overall a good experience as the drinks were great and the service was very good. Will be coming back

the host and servers where great , I was there on a Saturday night with a party of 7 (4 adult and 3 child) and cost me $256 for two games and shoes rental + $80 on two pizzas, nachos 2 soda. So it's pricey.

I used to love this place but this place is trash! First of all, they over priced for a game. Food service was temporarily closed.... multiple times! Waited 40 minutes for a non alcoholic drink. Staff as a unit.... disappointed. I was 2 seconds from complaining, but didn't want to my date's experience any worse than it was. This will be the last time silver lanes gets another dollar out of me!

Absolute trash place to call an entertainment ?Hall of Fame? pool and bar location. The saddest excuse for a bar i?ve seen in years, and I really dont like to ask for much. But when you have to wait 25 min for a simple beer with little to no crowd, unbelievable. And it goes to show the character of the personnel; if I asked for a drink, and you tell me last call was already made, you don't go on serving more drinks past the legal hour to other folk at the bar. Horrible customer service, and it's not like th

I went there for a school trip and they took forever to get our food we ordered at 12:44 pm and we weee leaving at 1:30 pm and never got our food also we tried to sit at a seat and they said we couldn't we told them there were no more left and they still refused for us to sit there I'm very disappointed !

Fun place. Decent prices on bowling with good prices on drinks. We went on a Friday night, and there was a great crowd of young adults there. This was after we attempted to visit Revolutions in South Windsor. That crowd would've been more at home in a city public housing project rather than a bowling alley. 5 stars for silver lane, for their good prices and pleasant crowd.

Couple things I love about this place is that they will always try to work with you'd like to switch lanes for what ever reason. The staff is very attentive and always make sure you're having a good time. But my favorite thing is how nice the lanes are.

It was fun, i liked it..its a bit dated but I was okay with that! The staff was very welcoming and explained everything I had questions about. I will be visiting again!

We actually didn't get to play there as some league was going in for the whole day, the surroundings locality looks so shady but the bowling arena looks good inside and has almost 20 lanes i suppose, good place to hangout with youre folks, wish they update these kind if events in their website

Ive been going to the Silver lane bowling alley for 21 years and never once have i felt as uncomfortable as i did tonight, in order to get a drink i had to go all the way to the front desk and when i did they made me feel like i was bothering them, i spent $100 tonight and i feel like i was robbed. Maybe you guys could pay more attention to your customers and less attention flirting in the office. Being a manager in the restaurant business myself i would never allow my employees let alone my MANAGEMENT tea

Been going here since I can remember. Had so much fun last weekend! We were only going too bowl 1 game ended up bowling 3. We beat the people we ended up coming with every game because they can't bowl at all! hahahahahaha Shane and Cassidy! good times for all!

Lots of lanes! Tons of leagues to join, pretty much every day of the week. Bathrooms are clean. The private party room is a good size. The food is standard bowling alley fare (pizza, burgers, fries, popcorn, soda, etc.). Greasy and cheap! The first time I went the pinsetters and scoring kept messing up, but the last two times have been better. Thankful that management has been working with the group with whom I volunteer, to give the group discounted games and shoes. Very thoughtful!

The prices are high. I went the Friday after Christmas. All games were full price. The company cancelled all deals because it was a holiday weekend and they could make more money. I probably would have played more games and spent more if the games didn't cost so much.

It was my first time at this bowling alley. There is something for everyone to do here. Staff is wonderful. Just from what I got to experience; they have laser tag, an arcade area, pool tables, adult beverages, and food. Not really sure about prices on everything, but bowling was very reasonable. It was also very clean for the amount of people there.

I've been here a couple of times. Overall, the establishment is clean and well functioning with a couple hiccups here and there. For example, we've ran into issues with the lanes and gotten some attitude from the folks at the front. Then again, I wasn't expecting first-class service. The bar / lounge in the back has three pool tables, but only one triangle, so you have to take turns to set up your table. The area is pretty spacious though, so you don't feel cramp even with a decent number of people in

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
