We had a great time bowling at Guttormsen Recreation Center. We were able to quickly get a lane and get going. The shoes were very clean and almost seemed new. The restrooms were very clean. They have food and drinks that the people around us had and it looked good. The small arcade provides a handful of games to play.

Great facility. Unfortunately, one employee in the kitchen/bar area would not honor our group's agreement with the manager of unlimited food and drink, which made our group members feel unseen and like a burden when asking/requesting any food or drinks. Not sure we'd choose this place for a large group outing again.

What a wonderful place! We went bowling on a Monday and took advantage of the $2 game special. The facility is clean, and the graphics are fun. The employee we interacted with was pleasant and joyful. Although we live about half an hour away, we will definitely be back!

Great facility but there is an older woman working up front with dark hair who just looks like she hates her life. Her attitude problem is why we will not be back. No reason for it when families are just there to have fun. Sad

I planned a birthday party here. I called 1 week ahead to reserve a lane. Joel helped me pick a party package and took my payment over the phone. When I got there at our scheduled time the lady behind the counter was very rude but informed me that they did not have any party reservations. I come here every week on Tuesdays with my bestie. The staff is fantastic and I LOVE the fried green beans. My only negative is the darts were sad. Like really bad. So it's a stretch on the recreational center seeing as how it's pretty much just bowling lol

This has always been my #1 spot since I've moved to Kenosha. My grandmother played tournaments for over 30 years and this by far has always been my best place to roll. I have been in and out of Wisconsin a lot as of recent, but the last 5 leagues I played were always at Kenosha GRC. Always great people, always great atmosphere, and the Guttormsen?s have always showed love. Been going for over 22 years now. Highly recommend for any age/talent!

I was actually there for something completely different it was a bowling tournament for Special Olympics but it was still a really cool bowling alley with its own arcade room lockers two bathrooms the bathrooms are a little small for a place that big

Great bowling alley to go to if you're able to get in. Online reservations are great but lots lanes seem to always be booked for long periods of time. Recommend calling for information. Parking is fair. Lanes seem to stall out at times but maintenance is gainful and ready to assist. Customer service is decent. The bar and food items are fairly priced. Want some spare excitement go to GRC.

1st time at this bowling alley. The place is really clean and the Cosmic Bowling is a great value. They need a better selection of bowling balls. They also have a bar with affordable drinks.

This is our second New Years celebration here with our grandchildren ( TEENS ) ,,this year our friends came with there families and it was a real great time.. pitchers of soda , pizzas , and the cocktail were awesome. We had our daughters birthday party here today. Easy to book, reasonably priced for a party package, lots of different options. Arcade is smaller, but great for younger kids. The pizza is delicious & was a BIG hit with all kids. We will absolutely use them again for other parties. All kids had a great time!

Last Sunday I'm came to Special Olympics Regional Bowling Tournament I waiting almost hour for lane 15 I'm bowl very good I came second place for Special Olympics Regional Bowling Tournament And came from Janesville Special Olympics for almost two hours driving with my friends from and Special driver Is great day.

The Strike Zone Lounge is awesome! Its comfortable and open. Definitely plan to go a lot more often and enjoy this updated area!

I love GRC. It is very clean and overall an inexpensive place to bowl. They have league bowling, for the more competitive, and regular bowling for more casual bowlers. The sanitation of the bathrooms are beyond expectations, and they have a variety of arcade games to play. They also have a pro shop on the inside that will plug and redrill your ball, or sell you bowling necessities. The cosmic bowl area is very nice, but the seats are a little torn up. Very nice, place, and I will return.

So much fun! What a great place and atmosphere! All staff we had contact with were helpful and nice. The prices were decent for bowling and some drinks. Excellent mixture of music playing for most peoples tastes and a variety of ages. Everyone should feel welcomed here. It was busy enough to make you feel a bit of normalcy since Covid. This is a really great place for friends and family to go bowling. There is a nice updated game room and snack machines. The bar is a very clean environment with friendly bartenders, machine games and tv. If your hungary there is a menu to order food just ask the bartender. There is Glow bowling here and have a birthday party there on a scheduled date in advance. 5 stars, it's a very clean, fun, and friendly place to go bowling.

Very clean. Staff were all polite and friendly. Food was good and reasonably priced, as was the bowling. Decent arcade. Were nice and comfy sofas to sit and relax on while you bowl. My fiance and I have bowled at numerous places, but this is definitely the best and we will most certainly be coming back many times. We had so much fun! Thanks to everyone at Guttormsen!

We've been playing on a league here this year for the first time and have had a great time. We order food and drinks every week from the bar and have tried almost everything on the menu probably - my favorite is the fried pickles. (The menu could use an update because I think some things on there are no longer available). The weekly drink specials are usually delicious. My favorite so far is apple pie. The lanes are well kept, the selection of bowling balls is pretty good, they have plenty of shoes to rent

Pizza was really good as well as some type if popcorn chicken type things. So very very good!! Breaded and seasoned just right and not oily like other venues. Everyone working there was very polite and helpful. Might go back next time we are in the area.

I enjoy bowling here and all. Super fun, the pizza is good. I am currently here right now. The knock I have right now is one old short guy working at the bar right now. He seems like he doesn't want to work here, he was giving an attitude to me and my friends tonight while just ordering, and he is just taking his sweet time while we have customers waiting in line. Went once with a friend to get our two kids out for some bowling. Prices were great, facility was clean and it was quiet for a Sunday afternoon. Was there again another more recent weekend for a friend's children's birthday and same, surprisingly. Great job to the staff for keeping on top of cleaning up after the 4 birthday parties going on at once.

By far our favorite local bowling alley. We are avid bowlers and have gone multiple times to other facilities that don't compare. The lanes at GRC are always oiled, the building is clean, the staff is friendly, they offer deals/discounts throughout the week, and we love the Pro Shop.

Typical bowling alley but nice that it has an upgrade option. Upgraded seating, pizza and beer included. The only negative was that the lane scoring system didn't work so we ended up changing lanes halfway through the first game. Overall, a decent alley.

As a local Event Planner, I happened upon a big no-no at this establishment. We went today for Father's Day and we were so excited! We booked online which was very convenient. However, we were very upset because we did not get what we paid EXTRA (almost $70 extra) for. We booked in the Gold Room because it was a special occasion. While the setting is comfy and nice over there, we didn't get the background picture we chose, a waitress was nowhere to be found (even after we pushed the call button many times),

I am honestly sad that their cosmic bowling prices were raised so heavily. Me and my partner used to love going for 14 dollars a person. Now they want to charge 70 dollars for an entire lane when only two people want to bowl! It's outrageous to pay 35 dollars a person for that and it was a fun thing to do on a Friday night. Now it's much too expensive for me to afford. Maybe try doing 35 for a lane for 3 people or less and 70 for 6 people or less.

Absolutely love this bowling alley! Signed up the little one for "Bumper Buddies" on the weekend, he absolutely loved it! Signing up for leagues this summer and totally looking forward to it! Manager is awesome and laid back staff which are always helpful. A nice clean place to bowl with decent pricing. This is a really chill place, love it.

Great place, had lots of fun with friends. The pizza tasted great and the soda was nice and refreshing. My only complaint is that I had a difficult time finding a ball that was the correct weight for me and fit my fingers. I had to go a pound up from my normal weight.

Honestly, I liked Guttormsen bowling alley. However, I have been trying to go bowling for about the last two months so I can practice and get better. Can not get a lane.....ever. There are always reserved lanes but when I try to reserve a lane I'm told I can not do that because it's a first come first serve basis. They have special deals during the winter months but do not update the website to explain these only are available after leagues which is almost 9pm. Why offer 1 dollar games Mondays but you can'

We hosted our daughter's 7th birthday party there. Excellent place for bowling, l games and partying. I also bowled in a league there for a few years. It's always a good time there.

worst bowling experience ever!! we called ahead to see if we can come in and bowl and what time they closed. they told us they close at 11 so we came in at 9:30-9:45. We had one person come in to double check we could bowl and was told we could. Then the rest of the group came in to bowl and we were told we couldn't because they were closed. After we were told twice we could.They compromised and let us bowl. In the middle of the game, an older lady started yelling at us during the game from the counter top

Ive had many different kinds of parties here and each one had wonderful friendly party hostesses. The pizza is excellent. The center has always been clean. I highly recommend this place for your family fun or just a place to get together with your friends.

My grandson is in a bowling league and they had individual bowling thing at government yesterday a bunch of college kids couple high school kids place was packed it was still pretty clean good food good times

Reserved 2 lanes for cosmic bowling. Staff was a little unorganized and rude. Nothing over the top. Just consistently rude service between checking in, ordering drinks and food. Staff walked around cleaning up throughout the night, which is nice but they threw out drinks that were on the table by our lane. Full drinks, half way through cosmic bowling. They did replace all the drinks when I brought it to thier attention without much of a hassle.

I had so much fun with my daughter so we will definitely be back and I will have to have girls nite out here sometime. The management was super nice and accomodating. The guy behind the bar was great, too. They don't have the widest selection of food, but it was enough for a few games of bowling. Prices were good on food and beer is the normal price somethin like 2.25 or 2.50 The lanes and tables were clean and it wasn't crazy loud (we did go during the day so it may be different at night). The fact we were planning my daughters birthday and the fact that no one had an answer for us to reserve lanes for her day we were told not to make reservations we got there that Monday THERE WERE NO LANES FOR MY DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY! we had to sit in the bar and order food at the tables broke my little girls heart because thats all she wanted but due to incompetence of the workers and lack of communication they all have together took that away

We had a lovely experience! The bowling was excellent. Great memories were made! Such a fun place to be. Everyone was very helpful, kind and professional. It was a great way to spend NYE and we will be back next year!

We have my son's 4th Birthday Party here and it was great. The staff were friendly and accommodating for our large party. Fun for all age's including Bowling and an Arcade for the kids and a full bar for the adults to relax.

My family of 17 went bowling. Soon after arriving for our 630 scheduled bowling time we ordered 3 large pizzas waited waited no one called us or brought out the pizzas. We saw people next to us get theirs delivered...we checked and was told some one else took them. Half of the family are kids..they finally gave us 3 frozen pizzas to take home .paid 30 bucks for large pizzas got 3 2dollar 12 on pizzas. Won't be going there again 1st and last time.

Very nice place to go bowling with your friends and family. They are friendly and helpful. The pizza there is great to snack on, and so are the taquitos.

The place was really well kept including the restrooms. The balls and shoes seem to have minimal damage.

It's really not a bad alley. However it may be suited for one off bowlers, they do not replace the loaner balls often. Most of the lanes are in great shape so if you have your own ball that isn't hopping over chips it's a good place to go.

I always loved bowling here. No other bowling alley that I know of has been able to host such a wonderful time. I used to live right down the street and we would have our family go there to throw birthday parties or hang out with friends for the holidays. The location has lots of good shoes for rental as well as a shop for pro gear and a bar with arcade. The vending has accessories to aid with your throw and the front area is well kept.

Went with kids and grandkids and had a great time here. Very organized and clean. Currently only every other lane can be utilized due to covid restrictions so it fills up pretty quickly. We reserved a lane online before arriving.

The facility and staff are great! Love coming here - but there was no lights for cosmic bowl except a small light at the end of the lane to see the pins. We felt as though we were bowling in the dark. It needs to be fixed ASAP!!

On the GRC website they list Monday afternoons from 12 to 4 p.m. bowling a dollar per game. This seems like an incredible deal for which I wanted to experience. Upon arriving at GRC and trying to acquire a lane I was told that the games have gone up to $2. I'd asked why their website didn't reflect that and their response was" we're working on it". Seems to me they should honor what's on the website. It's been a few days and I looked at the website today and they still haven't changed it , only makes me won

Nice place for a kids birthday party. The staff was great. They were helpful and attractive on top of still running the daily business.

A go to for a group outing. The food selection was smaller than hoped for, but the food and drink timing was very quick. Bar service primarily, so not extremely disappointed by few options of food. Went for Cosmic bowling which is always fun, good value for the price of the time and shoes.

Nice lanes and bar, but the staff could be a bit more friendly. My husband and I play in a league so we bring our own balls. The staff gets an attitude almost every time our ball gets stuck in the floor before the ball return. Not our balls fault because we started using house balls on the same lane and happened again. Keep your reactions and frustration to yourselves! I'll come back for cosmic or the kids free bowling.

Great bowling alley and nice deals offered at certain days and times for open bowl. Only negative was we had our work Christmas party there and rented out the party lanes. Didn't realize that after our 2 hours of open bowl was up that we would literally be asked to leave bc they had another party hooked 30 minutes after us. I guess lesson learned but was unfortunate. Still a 5 star place just a heads up for others.

10/10 experience. I snuck in under the cover of night, and was careful not to let any of the employees know that I'm a D1 bowler. I rolled my way to perfect score of 1 Million, and was then accosted by an angry manager who insisted I must have cheated. Our battle was legendary, but ultimately I prevailed and banished him to be the person who picks up the pins and sets them up again; a fate worse than death. If you are looking to bowl at a place where the manager is completely rude and the cook forgets to cook your food because he is too busy doing shots behind the bar (when he does remember, he grabs food with his hands and no gloves)....then this is the place for you.
