The water park is the main experience here and it doesn't fail. It's amazing. There are plenty of food options on site but we generally avoided them due to their prices. They have planned activities for the kids each day so it takes the stress of planning away from the parents. As an added ?bonus?, I really appreciated having the general restrooms available on the floor (in addition to the ones already in the guest room). There was easy access to refilling the water bottle there and these restrooms were qui
Julie at the front desk was an absolute gem during our stay at Great Wolf Lodge. She greeted us with genuine warmth and a smile that instantly made us feel welcome. Even with a busy lobby, she remained attentive, patient, and incredibly efficient, answering our questions, offering helpful tips, and making sure we had everything we needed for a smooth stay. It's rare to come across someone who truly embodies what it means to deliver exceptional guest service, but Julie nailed it. She wasn't just doing her jo
We've stayed here 3 times during busy summer weekend and off season fall/winter times. We enjoy it so much! Service is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. The waterpark feels very safe for our little ones. The dance parties are awesome! They always have deals for the room especially booking ahead of time and holiday deals/promos. Keep a look out for those!
Our family of 6 enjoyed our 2 night stay in the loft sweet! We got a stellar deal on our room and got an Ultimate package upgrade with unlimited ten paw, mini golf, magic quest for 4 and more. Fun trip on a budget for us all. Watch for deals and try to book a weekday trip and this place can be easier on the pocketbook.
We booked a room through Groupon for a couple of nights to celebrate our daughter?s birthday, as it was much more affordable than booking directly through Great Wolf Lodge. The day before our stay, we called the lodge to confirm our reservation, request a first-floor room due to my disability, and arrange early check-in. We were assured that everything was in order. When we arrived, we were told our room wouldn't be ready for several hours. The only available option at the time was on the third floor. Sinc
My kids and I have been coming to the Traverse City location since they were little. My oldest is almost 17 and both my teenagers prefer to come here over any other place. We have been to other hotels with water parks and nowhere comes close to guest services, fun, feeling welcome and the beds are soooo comfortable. My last experience was today 6/22/25 with the manager Chris. He helped me so much and make it smooth. I am forever grateful for his help.
We had a great time, the breakfast buffet was so good. You cant go here without adding the breakfast. They had the best chocolate milk I had in years. There was a lady there, she was awesome, she was so nice. I felt like she was my aunt. She served us all and checked on us. The water park was fun, clean and the staff was very nice. The bar lady was nice too. Sucks I forgot their names but I can say everyone was really nice.
We spent 2 nights here this week. We had visited previously in the summer and we had a good time so we decided to come back. I can't believe they charge for self parking $15 per car per night like it's already expensive but ok(there wasn't a parking fee our last stay). We were surprised to have our room ready when we got there. Unfortunately I found the room wasn't entirely spotless and clean. Found a have eaten what appeared to be a funyon behind the TV. Also the table top was dirty but everything else app
This was our first time to GWL. We chose to drive over 4 hour to Traverse City instead of going to Niagara Falls. Overall the whole family had a great time. The room was plenty big enough for our family of 5. The water park was great fun for the whole family. If you did not know, the whole Lodge is cashless. You need a credit or debit card to do anything. As first timers, a few things were not explained well to us. For example, they charge an almost $35 resort fee per day, $15 self parking per day, and if
We loved it! We went there to celebrate my birthday and my daughter loved the water park and the activities they organized throughout the day. The staff is very professional and they know how to deal with kids. The room was clean and it was everything what we needed for our stay. We will definitely come back to celebrate my daughter?s birthday.
Water park closes at 8p and opens and 10a. Check in is at 4p and checkout is at 11a. While you can use the waterpark the whole day, you don't have a room but for 5 hours during the water park open hours. For me, I would much prefer the park to be open late and early morning. After all, it is a water park and is the main attraction. The limited hours really put a damper on my overall experience.
Great Wolf is always a good time! The water park is obviously a hit with the kids. Love that this one has a hot tub to relax in while kids play. You can also have an alcoholic beverage in the water park if you want! There's so much more for the fam too: Mini bowling, mine for gems, build a bear, mini golf, arcade and of course the Magi Quest! Love that you can stay here and not have to leave for anything, but also close enough to go to the mall or downtown! Another perk, it's very affordable, especiall
The moment I walked into the "Bear Essentials" gift shop at Great Wolf Lodge - Traverse City this morning, I felt like I was walking into a store back home...small town vibe. Maria S. was so warm and welcoming. Even though I didn't make a purchase and was just browsing she made me feel valuable. Thanks for putting a sparkle on my morning, Maria S!
My only complaint is my 4yo wandered off and was somehow allowed to go down a water slide by himself. Otherwise I was very happy with our stay, and the price is reasonable. There is a lot to offer and if you stay for 2+ nights, the extra packages (free drink refills, unlimited mini golf and bowling, etc) is worth it. My 3 year old and almost 5 year old had a blast.
This has been one of our favorite locations and we have been to a lot of great wolf lodges. First thing I noticed how helpful, courteous, and available staff members are. The guest service was by far the best out of any other great wolf we have been to. We did have dinner here the first night. We all ate way too much and didn't even have room for dessert. Our waitress, Mae, was great and had a drink made for me exactly the way I liked it after explaining to her the type of drink I liked. She was great with
Such a nice clean place! All the workers are so friendly! While working in build a bear, Tonnia was very polite and amazing with my kids! She was beyond patient and understanding and very engaging! We saw her as she was leaving for the day as well, and she was able to help us with magic quest to make that easier for us too!! :) very good customer series.
All around a great place! The reason I put four star for the room and service is due to our room the shower nozzle you could not shower because it kept falling down and turning hot as ever and there was a red stain on the white blanket. The service is due to when I went to the desk to let the lady know about the shower and the blanket she was very standoffish acted as though I hadn't even spoke to her I got zero reply whatsoever.
Go to Avalanche Bay. We decided to do Great Wolf instead and wow was it a disappointment. I'm not cheap by any means but we did $500 worth of day passes (that are $20 each cheaper at Avalanche Bay) and when we showed up for passes we were notified that we would need to pay an additional $15 per car for parking. After paying that we were told we would have to buy a locker. Don't over stuff them, they work on sensors so if they feel you're too full you will be forced to buy another one ranging from $10-$17 ea
Beautiful place with tons of kids activities! Except it IS NOT kid friendly! I reserved 2 rooms for 4adults and 8kids total with a birthday package, by 7pm they were telling me we had to keep it down. Elevators and stairs were super far from me so having 5kids of my own one being 2 made it that much more difficult. Pizza down the rd was extremely expensive, 2large pizzas and breadsticks for $80. Breakfast is not included with your room purchase but available with more money. Everything is about money and it
We took our 4 year old son here and it was perfect! We purchased a mid-week 2 night stay from Groupon and it was the an unforgettable wonderful mini-getaway family vacation for our family of 3. The food at the restaurants is delicious! The life guards are extremely helpful and diligent in keeping an eye on the little ones! Room was cozy and fun. Our son loved the wolf den sleeper area. The arcade had many fun games and the prizes are worth it and we're still enjoying our time at Great Wolf Lodge even after
The room was nice but there was red juice strains all over the floor. Then they turn the refrigerators all the way down with no way of turning them up. If you need to get ahold of the front desk for anything might as well forget it you will wait on hold and be told issues will be solved just to call business days later. If you pay with affirm they are not clear on payments and what's covered so have extra money on a card and enough for the whole weekend because no where is allowed to accept cash at the lodg
We just home from The Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City Mi. I am pretty pissed. The room was clean and nice, the waterpark was great. The customer service was horrible. When we checked in we paid for parking seperate on a different card than what we used for the reservation. Thought everything was all good. We get home and look at the invoice they sent us and they charged us for parking again when we had already paid for it. I was warned about this and sure enough it happened. Called the lodge. They told me
We went here as a couple with the ages of 25&30. The room was spotless clean and had a nice layout for the 2 queens with a super small patio facing the parking lot. When we arrived they allowed us to do an early check in without paying a fee. The only add on fee was for a late check out which was $60. This was well worth it. We booked a discounted room on their May special and was impressed with the discounted rates and how it was presented on the websites especially compared to another waterpark that we we
I found out that the only option for breakfast was the buffet so I told my family we were going at 7:30am when it opened because I do not like to eat at buffets due to the contamination from people whom have no business being at a buffet. We arrived at 7:30 and were the first family to get our food from the buffet. While we were sitting and eating the general public did not dissapoint. As I predicted there were children at the buffet some getting there own food and some holding plates while an adult was pla
My family and I have vacationed many times here over the years, and it is always usually a wonderful time. Things have changed though at the lodge, along with the feeling of great times. Rooms- We rented the "KidKamp Suite" for the 2 nights, 3 days we were staying, and while the information about the room made everything seem like it was going to be great, staying in it was another story. First the beds were absolutely atrocious. The mattresses felt paper thin, the blankets were nonexistent, and the pullou
Great place to stay that's very kid/family friendly! There is so much to do and see everyday here! Kids will definitely have a blast with the water park and arcade as well as the bowling, mini golf, and all of the activities that they do daily! It is kind of pricey so be prepared but, if you book things ahead of time and choose the add on options you can get bundle deals and get things at a discounted price. All in all I live in Traverse City and my kids Love it when we stay here!
The hotel was clean, quiet, and perfect for the kids with the cabin suite. The staff were friendly and helpful. The water park had something for all ages. We spent 2 days there and they never got bored. The Magiquest was fun as well, but a little pricey for only a one night stay.
My son loves Great Wolf Lodge. We've come to Traverse City GWL for the last 3 years. We kept returning for the clock tower show (no joke). We were heartbroken to see it removed. And 3 years ago, you weren't charged for parking. Now, it's $19 a night per vehicle. If you have infants or a larger family group, spend the money for a cabana bc you don't want to be that family who is fighting to find empty chairs in the park for your things. The paw passes really give you a lot of bang for your buck - personall
The great Wolf lodge used to be a good place to go take your kids to go swim now. They have create so many rules that you can not have any fun. You can't bring any toys for the pool. What's the point of going to a pool without being able to play. I would not stay at the great wolf lodge ever again. .. In addition the Water park is really small. Only 2 pools, 3 slides and a lazy river. That is so slow your Basically stopped. Don't go here!!!
Excellent customer service! Both people were attentive and honestly made our week long trip better. I genuinely think that the interactions that we shared together truly made the world of a difference during our trip! I went out of my way to ensure that I highlight these amazing, considerate people and I hope they get extra love!!!
Do not check in with kiosk! My family goes every year with a large group. This year was 16 people. One reservation was 2 rooms adjoining. We checked in on the kiosk but because we had two rooms we had to finish at the front desk.(the reservation encouraged us to use kiosk) we stayed from Thursday to Saturday. We returned home from our trip after having a wonderful time to an alert from the credit card company that the card was now in the negative. It was explained to me by the supervisor/manager that the ki
We have loved this place and have gone every year for five years now. Sadly we will not be returning. The carpet was all stained in the room. Hair all over the bathtub. Trash under the couch. No mattress covers on the beds. The waterpark was decent and the kids did have fun. Food and drinks way overpriced for what you get. We got a surprise charge after check out for two things. Parking which I was not told about and I don't understand why they charged us for three days of parking when we only stayed two ni
The trip I went on was short but cute, I went with older kids and the water park was limited as the outdoor pool was closed. I did not like that There is only one set of main elevators and it made the wait longer than needed. I enjoyed this location a lot and the scenery was amazing. We did feel out of place due to the kids being older and there was many littles running around. Magiquest was cute I recommend starting that as soon as possible the mechanics take a bit longer to reset and many little kids runn
Very cool place for kids. Even our 18-year-old enjoyed the MagiQuest treasure hunt. Boring for adults. Rooms were fun. Food and amenities are way overpriced.
My son and I stayed at Great Wolf Lodge last month for the first time. It was an absolute blast and many memories were made. The room was big, clean, and had everything we needed. The food was excellent as we ate at the restaurant for dinner and did the breakfast buffet in the am. The Waterpark had everything a kid could dream of, and the adult only hot tub was a much appreciated bonus. The staff was extremely accomodating, especially the older man who greeted us at the door. We would love to come back agai
The reason the service is low, therefore bringing down the rating, is not because the staff were rude or any such thing. No, the place was clean and the staff were super nice. But service is the only spot I can think of putting down that the water park was not in the greatest condition, and the water park was why we stayed (two young boys in the group). There were several things broken which was a bit disheartening. The boys still had fun, but it was clear they needed maintenance.
Booked for an overnight trip with my kids to clear our minds.. We were treated so poorly from some of the staff from the time we checked in as well as checkout. Given a room infested with ants, wasn't going to move us, made us wait and then har to move me and my kids, all our things at 12 at night. Referred to as "you people" on more than 1 occasion from management. So uncomfortable,I cried ,because my kids understood the treatment we were getting. The excitement on the 3 hr drive, to feel like we were being
I generously gave this two stars because the people were nice and the kids had fun. But the place is an absolute shakedown. There's an unadvertised NIGHTLY resort fee of $35 as well as a nightly parking fee of $15. This fee is actually on the website, but is clearly just a way to nickel and dime. They offer a ?dining plan? for pre-purchase but there is also a breakfast plan that only staff seem to be aware of. Although no one could really explain how the two plans differ. Do yourself a favor?stay somewhere
This was our 5th time visiting this particular GWL. It was amazing the first time and then every time since it has gotten worse. The quality of everything has gone down but the price has gone dramatically up. This was a favorite place for my kids but now we won't be back. An example is that the onsite restaurant had amazing food but now the food is horrible and the prices are 100% higher than they were 5 years ago. I get inflation but this is way beyond that for far worse food. They now charge for parking
I really wish I knew his name but he was an older gentleman at the main lobby. He greeted us first timers with a huge smile and wolf ears headband! He interacted with my young daughter, told us all about the fun things to expect. He made us feel like more than a guest - like family. Like I said. I wish I knew I knew his nsme. This was on Thursday April 24th around 230/245pm time frame. The experience was so worth it, we traveled with a toddler but the vast ages I saw around the resort grounds was from newb
The water park is ok for an indoor park but its showing its age. There are now much better options in the state. As for the hotel. It's awful. The carpets are dirty and the walls are so thin between rooms you can hear kids talking, parents having sex and whatever on TV in the adjacent room. Find a different place to stay if at all possible.
I had booked a weekend trip with my kid and her step mom. My child got the flu and we were unable to attend the weekend. But there was zero chance of a refund. That has been a year ago now. Multiple times on the phone trying to reschedule but inflation has turned my 500 deposit to an $830 room for a Saturday night. SO why not. Not one person on the phone was helpful. I tried off season and in season. Didn't matter. Looks like it's going to be an expensive weekend.
Starting with the first night where the room above us was being outrageously loud. Passed 11pm which is their enforced quiet time. We called the front desk and requested to have someone ask them to cut down the noise and we were told that they would. Half an hour later, they are still very loud and we call the front desk again. They admitted that they had sent no one to that room nor did they attempt any kind of contact to tell them to quiet down. They say they sent someone this time, but there reqlly isnt
My family did a quick overnight trip for a birthday celebration. Amy at the front desk was absolutely fabulous during check in. Our room was ready early with the birthday package set up. Water park was definitely busy but still enjoyable. Lazy river is more like bumper cars with the younger kiddos going crazy in there. The gentlemen working at Buckets were SO nice each time we went up to order. Dance party and Camp Critter were perfect evening things to do/meal and the waitress added cute little details for
This is our fourth stay here at Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City. The hotel is always wonderfully clean. The staff is always so phenomenal, kind and helpful! This time we did the Paw Package and the kids loved mining for rocks!! We were disappointed in the very poor quality of the goggles that came with the package, but overall we have had a wonderful time!
Only a 4 star because my kids expected a wave pool or something of the sorts. All pools were a max of 4ft (kinda disappointed in that). One advantage was the water slides where I could take my littles (6 & 4). The gentleman at the front passing out wolf ears and pictures was absolutely amazing and sooo nice. I booked on Groupon so our room with a balcony (even though it was a crap view, looking down at a dirty ditch) and bunk beds was only $150. The wand adventure was just okay, I wouldn't recommend it bc m
So fun! The perfect size Waterpark for our 4 year old. The room was clean. Lifeguards are super attentive. The extra kids activities are nice addition. Love this Great Wolf Lodge location.
She went above & beyond last night. (Ari H.) Super great customer service. Was super nice. Help my kids with all the questions the had about the magiquest. She deserves a raise $$$
I wish I could have paid my bill in nickels and dimes. $15 for surface lot parking and no security. $15/towel if one of my kids forgets to turn it back in. $99 to checkout after 1030a. Dated hotel rooms that are dirty and poorly made-up. The water park pass is the best deal. Avoid staying here and frustrating yourself.
The rooms are charming, clean, and comfortable. The lodge offers a fantastic indoor waterpark, plenty of dining options, and attractions for both kids and adults alike. The food and service are great!
These people do Great wolf lodge right!!! Vincent is the best my daughter 9 and a half loved him he was funny and kind and made her feel so special! He made a little girls weekend! Every time we passed someone they said hello how are you and we're sincere! We have been to others lodges and this by far is the best one!!!! We will be back and we want to see Vincent he was the best!!
A nice experience for a quick get away. The added fees are starting to get a bit high now with an almost $40 per night resort fee and an additional $15 per night for self parking for each car. The room was clean and spacious and team members were quite nice. The bowling is also a fun and unique experience. Food is run of the mill for the most part, but for the convenience, you can't beat it.
The kids absolutely love great wolf lodge. The hotel provides all sorts of activities outside of the Waterpark itself to keep the kids happy and busy. Friendly staff, diligent lifeguards who make you at ease. The girls who hosted the kids dance party really gave it there all. The crowd was hype. Shout out to Josh the lifeguard. His friendly and upbeat attitude makes him an asset and put a smile on mine and my kids faces. Great job house keeping staff.
I read the recent reviews and was a little concerned about booking this trip as this is the first weekend I've had with my kids in many many years. Our room was great! It was already cleaned and ready when we arrived. The waterpark was great! The water was the perfect temperature. The arcade points needed for each game was REDICULOUS! I felt ripped off with as much money as I spent with my kids. We didn't even do bowling or the quest due to the high prices. My kids were really bummed! And let's not forget t
We've been to this Great Wolf many times before and this will be the last. Never have had to pay for parking at the hotel YOU ARE STAYING AT. Then all the extra fees etc? just not worth it. The kiosk also charges the full amount even if you paid for some in advance?Ended up totaling over $800 for two nights as we purchased the wolf passes for our 3 kids as well. One of our kids toes got sliced by the water park door. Rooms are outdated and not clean. Weird noises in the walls. Extremely crowded. $100 per ni
We celebrated my special needs son's 16th birthday here. We spent right around $2000 for 1 night, late check out and having our room "decorated" for his birthday. It's unbelievable that they charge for EVERYTHING!!! There's a $15 charge to park your vehicle....what?? Why?? Buyer beware if you get sucked into the "decorated" room package for $90. The package includes 1 ribbon on the outside of your door, paper plates, napkins, paper cups & forks for 5 (even though they knew we had 8 in our room), a plastic t
My twin girls and my special needs son had a phenomenal time there. The staff was very accommodating to my son 's disabilities and even found the life jackets that we left behind and sent them back to us. Will definitely be back again and make sure that we schedule enough time for the events they have in the main lobby for all the kids. Looking forward to going back.
So much to do! I recommend spending a few days here to have time to do everything. We got the wolf passes, definitely worth it. My kids are 7 and 10. Everything is a bit expensive but the pizza was not badly priced. It was still pretty crowded but the kids had lots of fun
These 2 wonderful ladies (Tonnia and Maddie) took care of my family inside build a bear. My oldest is autistic and was a little overwhelmed but these 2 ladies were so helpful and kind. They made sure my kids had a wonderful experience and were so understanding of my oldest and his special needs. It's extremely hard sometimes to do things in public with a special needs child and these ladies made me feel less anxious and they were so comforting. It means a lot to my family and I. They added to the wonderful
My son had fun, but I feel like they nickel and dime you here. I asked if they had late checkout, and they said $60 to leave 3 hrs later. The chlorine was really strong and started irritating my eyes.
I am very disappointed in the customer service at Green Lodge. They're great when they they are accepting your money but their customer service recovery is the absolute forest I have encountered. I have charges to my room that I did not make. I opened a case to dispute these charges, and I have not received any follow up regarding these charges And yet they have charged my card regardless. That is frightening, that they have Charges to your room, you can dispute it, and they charge you anyway. All of this i
Absolutely terrible experience. This hotel is nothing but an overpriced, over-commercialized money grab. "The Great Rip OFF"! Everything costs extra including $15 dollar per day parking. and other services that should be standard. Called regarding a light bulb where you would eat, they never came. Shocker. Overall atmosphere feels like a tourist trap. Definitely not worth the price. Save your money and stay elsewhere! The only thing I could say positive is the poor cleaning staff and what they must clean i
Wyatt provided an amazing build a bear experience for my our two kids (8 and 10). He was kind, engaging and had great impromptu ideas! He walked both kids through their creations with a smile and joy on his face. You all are truly lucky to have such a great talent on your team that Wyatt provides. This made our first Great Wolf Lodge experience a memorable one!
Security, Housekeeping, and Derrick( I think) at the front Desk were so very helpful. My son?s swim shorts got lost in the bath towels and when I called the front desk, Derrick took my call and said he would let security and housekeeping know and have them look for the shorts. I wasn't very hopeful, and I was bummed, because we just bought the shorts. After about two hours, we came back to a note that let us know the shorts were found and waiting for us at the front desk. I was so happy to not have lost th
we come here for my daughters birthday every year and have encountered Rachel the past 2 years. She has been extraordinarily helpful in assisting me with birthday ideas and just remembering me and my family. She is very welcoming. Also i know the rooms she cleans are always really clean and that gives me peace of mind. Emily was the ONLY person working all of the slides on a very busy morning and she kept a huge smile on her face and never got frustrated even when the line was long or the people didn't list
We were continually greeted with kind smiles throughout our experience. The staff was incredible! From our check-in, to our build-a-bear heart ceremony, to our alcoholic drinks in the water park, story tellers, and dance parties, it was an amazing time with exceptional service! Can't wait to go back!
Kids enjoyed the water park and that's the primary reason for coming. Advice? stop charging $15 for parking this is an unnecessary fee and you don't generally know about till you show up and it just pisses people off from check in. Just put it in the room price.. It's not like there is any other option around here. Not a great way to start. Your arcade is a disgusting rip off.. We all get it, kids don't understand the value of a handful of cheap candy or plastic garbage, can you please put a better mix of
We caught a special on a Kids Camp suite. Two Gramma's taking their 3 grandchildren on a first time fun adventure. First You have to pay to park. We walked in the room and there is basic furniture, old, no pamplets or brochures just a bare room. Kids go to the water park but only to 8 pm because then they close it up. Now mind you, you can't get in the rooms till 4pm. I was going to pay for them to bowl and play miniature golf but it was closed too. Now this is on a Sunday night that they offered a special
We just checked in and Frank has already made our day and trip. He gave us an immediate amazing greeting, information about events and made my twins feel awesome for their birthday. Thank you Frank for an unforgettable first impression.
Overpriced. Staff are great, helpful, kind. The water park isn't even that big and you have to pay out the booty for everything. Had a room on the third floor amd it sounds like 20 kids running around all night on the floor above making it hard to sleep. There was a friendly little mouse on the balcony, which made me add a star. Won't stay here again... its just not worth the price.
This place provided great customer service. HOWEVER, idk what kind of cleaning or disinfecting they are doing but it was about 10 of us total who went and stayed over night. 5 of us came back with the flu! We had two rooms on separate floors. My 5 yr old daughter has pink eye! Because of this I've had two cancel 2 paid flights to Nevada and Cancel her actual (paid) birthday party at a different location. When i took her to the urgent care the doctor advised us to never go back to this particular location.
We stayed recently for a quick over night trip with our two kiddos, we had a blast in such a short time frame. The staff was wonderful, Tonya over at Build-A-Bear was such a hoot! She had us giggling and the kids doing goofy things, she was such a pleasure! Kenzie up in the Magic Quest area was so helpful and patient with the kids as they picked their wands, she and Tonya truly show such a passion for what they do! Overall great time spent, can't wait to be back!
Trine was wonderful with our pack at breakfast. Helpful suggestions and handling breakfast vouchers and even finding out I had one and taking care of it without my asking. Her service was great too. I'm very grateful!
I am upset they took the television that's in the kids area of the the Wolf Den out. There use to be 2 television?s now it's just one. The kids liked laying in the bunk beds watching TV until they fell asleep after a day of playing. I also do not like that they're charging for parking. All these changes and adding more fees but no upgrades to the facility. We try and go every year but this will be our last time going. The staff are very friendly and nice. Just another company becoming greedy.
We have stayed here before and were hoping to book a short getaway this spring. One of my children was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and now has to adhere to strict dietary restrictions. I called to make sure we could find food to eat on site that would be safe for my child. I was advised to email and their food team would get back to me. I have now emailed 3 times and called twice. I was assured on both phone calls that I would receive a response and no one has gotten back to me. So disappo
Very expensive at peak time. Money trap for grandparents when kids go crazy over making and accessorizing stuffed animals, arcade games and the quest adventure. Close to $3500.00 for two nights 6adults and 2 kids. Two suite rooms. Bathroom the size of a coat closet. No benches for older adults to watch the kids during their quest adventure. The young ones loved the water park and the activities. Not a waste of time but would not do it again. People were very friendly.
So our first time experience at GWL will more than likely be our last. Let me explain why. I got a price from Expedia for around $500 for two nights in a Majestic Bear Suite. Came back a day later and the price jumped by $150 dollars more although it was still 2 weeks out from our planned dates. I called to try to book directly and for those same dates and room, calling direct they wanted $800+ ...sounds back to Expedia we went and pulled the trigger despite a sudden jump in rates. Yes, the lifeguarding is TOP TIER! Josh knows lifeguarding(YMCA dude down the way) and the fact that he hasn't moved one time like where are the kiddos because I said I peeped the lifeguards and said we are good, and then he started watching while our youngest was still playing in front of us, the only one with a yellow band the other 3 are green. Josh watched and watched and then we ran into the aquatics director and they chatted. Meanwhile baby boy is running wild having a blast and mom and dad have no w
Clean and fun! The lines for the water slides got disappointingly long our second day so I was glad we had gone hard our first day. But the kids had a blast, especially the water park and the dance parties. Definitely download the app for a daily schedule!
As a family we had a great time and I'm very glad I booked my stay at GWL Traverse City. My 2yo and 8yo had endless amounts of fun. From the water park, to morning kids yoga, dance party, build a bear and MagiQuest, there were plenty of things to keep them busy and tired out by 9pm. I wish I would have booked another day to have time for bowling and mini golf. We can't wait for our next stay at GWL.
My family has been coming up here for sometime now. When it first opened, it was obviously clean, but now we find stains in the room carpet, clumps of hair in our bathtub. I spoke to the desk manager on duty and he was very dismissive of our concerns, not that I wanted a refund, just wanted him to acknowledged this situation to conduct cleaning that needed addressing. This time we took our children and grandchildren up there for a long weekend with three separate rooms. Probably the last time we will come h
To be clear, Great Wolf TC has always been a lower tier Michigan water park. It's small, the rooms are dirty/dated and everything is wildly overpriced. I highly recommend reading through other reviews for several examples. The straw that broke the camels back was, undoubtedly, the "gotcha" $15 nightly parking fee that we were blessed with during check-in. What a revolting and insulting charge, especially given that the vast majority of patrons need to stay the night. People in these reviews having been com
Paid an extra $100 for security deposit, only received $43 after waiting a month. Called a customer representative, got an email within 24 hours claiming I never paid an extra $100. Experience was weird, they acted as if they've never seen black people., some showed us extra attention which was fine but still weird! Been to Cincinnati before & it was great!
We have stayed here before and loved it. But currently we have an upcoming reservation and our voyager number somehow wasn't attached so we earn our points. I have seriously went through 4 different people via chat and email. Each one says either they fixed it or I need someone else which directs me to the 1st person. For me, customer service is what means alot to me. If you can't take the time to correct a small error that ridiculous. It's not a cheap place to stay, therefore they should assist customers
We went as a family of 4 (kids 14 & 9) last week from Tuesday to Thursday & I really don't have any real complaints. You can save money by going prepared with a cooler with bottled water, snacks, and we even brought our own frozen breakfast food & lunch stuff. We ran out and grabbed Chic-fil-a right down the road for dinner & called it a day. The staff was very friendly and helpful with anything we had questions with. Yeah, the carpet needs some renovating & not everything is squeaky clean...but it's a wat
Check in was at 4 . We've patiently waited. This place is not professional. When you pay almost 500 a room 3 months in advance you would think it would come with a little more professionalism. Going on 45 minutes late. I recommend people go to Avalanche Bay over this place.
Go to Splash Village, Bavarian Inn, or Avalanche Bay. This place is desperately overpriced yet very antiquated. The rooms are old with stains all over the carpet. The curtains, furniture, wallpaper, and decor is at least 20 years old. 2 different old school waterslides and 2 kiddie waterslides. That's it. They nickel and dime you your entire stay and charge exorbitant prices for mediocre food. We will NEVER be back.
Waited an hr after check in for our rooms even though explained my 2yr old is wet and needs changed. It was a 4 our drive. Supposed to comp my card and did not! Staff was extremely rude and the service desk and did not care one bit about the situation. Looked today a few days later for the credit, not there and just was on the phone for an hour to get my comp back. Racist people working there that does not care about family or the family experience. Ruined my 13yr olds birthday. Thank you. HORRIBLE establis
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
