Excellent food, A++ service, MANY TV'S, cool video games like the driving sit down kind, modern bowling lanes (though I haven't played the new lanes yet- just the pre-renovation era lol! But I surely will soon.)

Had an awesome time bowling at Grand Central! We walked in at 10 PM on a Friday night and got a lane right away. Logan was amazing?super energetic and helpful, which made the experience even better. Our family of six bowled for a little over an hour (not to brag, but I bowled a 200!). After bowling, we headed upstairs for arcade games. They had a great variety, and the ticket redemption kiosks made it easy to cash in for prizes. We also ordered nachos while bowling, and they were delicious! The chipotle so

Food is definitely better than expected and they have some tasty cocktails. We've been here a few times and servers are nice, I enjoy the party vibe with sports projected at the end of the lanes. I don't love the prices.

Jessica was the best bartender! She made great mixed drinks and was fun to talk with. We will be going back for the great service we got from her and all of the other servers!!

Great atmosphere bowling here. Fun spot to pay by time. I'm personally not a huge fan of paying by time instead of games, but I understand that it's much easier to estimate lane availability, etc.. Only size 16 shoe as max was a bit disappointing.

We had a work outing here and the staff were so cordial in greeting and explanation. Jax welcomed us and introduced us to the location and amenities, they even referred us to the self sign up loyalty that gets you a free game! Courtney was serving us food and drink and was attentive and observant, always ready to assist with any refills or orders. Truly appreciate the hospitality given!

Grand Central Bowl & Arcade is a fun spot for an evening out. Their food is pretty good, you can get an unlimited gaming card for $20, and they have like 10 bowling lanes. My work has held its holiday party here three years in a row now. We rented out the entire upstairs gaming area, which has its own bar and plenty of seating, along with multiple TVs. The downstairs has a big oval bar with seating all around and booths all around too. They have free garage parking below the restaurant, but it is very small

Grand Central Bowling is a great spot to hang out with family and friends! The atmosphere is fun and lively, with good food and plenty of lanes. The only downside is that parking can be a bit tricky, so plan ahead. Overall, a fun place for a night out!

Jessica was an amazing hostess. Really enjoy our time here while she serves us. Very attentive, personable, and helpful with food knowledge. She makes great old fashions as well. Highly recommend coming in and seeing Jessica.

Finally got a chance to check this place out the other day. I was really impressed with the whole she-bang. The lanes were great, staff were very attentive and super-competent. The food was outstanding. Try the cauliflower!! I will be returning often and thanks to GCB for a great experience.

I honestly love the celebration of being here. Whether as a friends? night out or for an event, this is the perfect mix of bowling, good food, and great vibes. Staff are engaging and the atmosphere is approachable while still being a bit upscale. Definitely a solid place for a good evening of bowling and community.

I had a great time bowling here! The bowling experience was top-notch and the arcade games added an extra layer of fun. The staff was friendly and helpful making the visit even more enjoyable. I also love the giant screens above the lanes that play ESPN and music videos. Overall, a great place to unwind and have a blast with family and friends!

Very poor experience and customer service! They have very strict policies when booking a birthday party. FAR TOO COMPLICATED to book a simple game of bowling. NOT WORTH IT. I called 15 days before the event and was told they don't make reservations that far out, only 7 days (makes sense!) and I was redirected to the event coordinator, who had different rules and still wouldn't make my reservation 11 days before the event. I had to wait and call back within 7 days before the event for first come, first serv

Took my ex-girlfriend here about a month ago after we re-connected and are now absolutely truly connected friends. I used to be pretty good at bowling, I am pretty competitive, and I thought I could beat her ??????... She whopped me. Taught me several things, kept me calm, because our neighbors were a bit triggering....lol end result was that we had an amazing time in your venue nonetheless (even though my initial intent was to be the winner....) We laughed, we bowled ??, and had an amazing time. 2 hours we

Jessica made me the best blood orange margarita I have ever had with exceptional service. The rest of the staff was extremely warm and welcoming as well. Overall great experience!

Although it can get a LITTLE pricey to play here, it is a great time nonetheless! Plenty of lane options, great balls to throw with, and a solid UI that rarely fails when calculating scores during game time. The food here is also surprisingly great, and although the price per food item is a tad bit high, it hasn't disappointed me as of yet. And if none of these things strikes your fancy, or if you want to stay longer after your rounds of bowling, they have a decent arcade setup on the second floor/deck for

We hosted our work event at Grand Central Bowl, and it was fantastic. The event manager(Haley)was so professional and ensured every detail was taken care of, making the entire process seamless. Whether it's for team-building, networking, birthdays, or corporate events, Grand Central Bowl is the perfect venue.

Jessica was the best! She helped our birthday party run smoothly and even ran a forgotten present out to my car after we left. Thank you, Jessica!

I can't say enough good things about GCB! Haley has been so helpful with coordinating and planning my event. The food, atmosphere and service are all fantastic. Highly recommend

Very clean space and modernize look make this a fun destination for a night out. Not to stereotype every other bowling alley, but the food and cocktails at Grand Central were noticeably above par for a night of tenpin. Highly recommended way to get out of the rain. lol

They have GLUTEN FREE GOODNESS HERE!!! Our wings were amazing, nachos were top notch, and our drinks were so good! They make their own sour mix and much more so drinks are a major score! Sorry I forgot to take pics of the food, however it was great. Bowling was so fun, spacious lanes and the arcade had Pac-Man 4 player and My Personal Favo: METALLICA PIN BALL ??

Awesome bowling alley. My friend and I came here for the food and drinks. The staff here is super cool. I reccomend the wings and cauliflower. The lemon drop martinis were great! Good vibes all around

Jessica was amazing! She took such good care of my teen and their friends and helped me facilitate all of the birthday party details:-)

Jessica was our server and was tremendous for us. Really attentive to our group, quick with refills and making sure our food was to our liking. Really enjoyed our time and will certainly be back.

Sophia is the absolute best! She made an excellent cocktail and provided the best conversation! Grand central is a great place to drink and be active. Highly recommend.

Food is pretty darn good! Mango habanero sauce was fantastic! (The blue cheese was not good but the ranch dressing was stunning!) Super tasty sandwich! Service was very good, bartender and chef were great! Bowling wait time is a little bit long. Went for football because of their nfl package and found out they don't have it, just cbs and fox.

Pinballers BEWARE. The machines are not maintained and It will cost $3 to add a 2nd player, instead of the typical 75?. You have to buy a prepaid arcade card to play pinball. To pay for a 2nd player it believes each 1/3 of a credit (usually a quarter, or in this case a swipe) is $1 each. So $1 for player one, and then $3 for player 2. I asked the concierge and they kindly gave us a $5 card but did not know how pinball worked. The machines have many lights burned out, broken ramps, and balls get stuck freque

This place has a parking garage that boasts 24 hour parking yet does not allow people access to their cars after they are closed. They do not have signs that say restaurant parking only or anything like that. They just take your money cold heartedly and will let you rot in the cold all night in winter. Horrible business practice. If someone?s phone isn't charged or they don't have anybody to help that can be a dangerous situation especially for a woman. This is a business that has a serious, dangerous probl

What a cool experience. I had driven by a number of times but never had the opportunity to check it out. A perfect location off of Morrison I was pleasantly surprised to see how upscale and modern this place is. Was expecting a dingy bowling alley... this was the farthest thing from it!! They have a nice bar with good eats. Plenty to choose from. Burgers, wings, tacos, bowls, and much more!! You can stop by for the food or swing by to get a few frames in, or check out upstairs for the arcade. There is som

Swanky Bowling Alley downstairs Fun Arcade upstairs. Both have full bar, restaurant with eating areas. Fun music, definitely family friendly.

We were meet with judgement by bartenders. On 01/25/25 at around 5:25 pm, me and my lady friend walked in to enjoy a night in which was advertised on tik tok. Unfortunately the two gentlemen felt like we didn't deserve immediate attention, because they clearly choose to serve the guests that came up to the bar behind us. It wasn't like anybody was at the bar, I hope others enjoy your establishment better than we did. We chose to go to the bar across the street since we made it uncomfortable for them.

So fun! The group playing our lane before us took a little extra time getting out, and Logan was super communicative and made sure we had our full time to bowl. Our server Maya (sp?) was also fantastic!

Had a great time! All employees were extremely friendly, and Logan was very helpful with our requests! Will definitely be coming back.

so happy this place is functioning! my kid's needed this! very sanitary and safe. each lane has a sanitized ball of every weight so they're able to keep track of what needs to be sanitized when. The bacon wrapped prawns are amazing! We had the sweetest female server that was totally sensitive to my wild child's

Came here to bowl but we got drinks and food before. Jessica was awesome, very nice, and quick! The food was really good too, shout out the kitchen! Thanks guys!

This was my first trip to Grand Central. I was there with a pretty decent size the group of about 20 people. I thought the food was very average best and a little on the pricey side. My margarita and Tequila Sunrise were both very good though. Both the lady tending bar in the waitress in charge of our group we're both amazing. You would have never known there were 20 of us because we never had to wait for anyting. I give it 4 stars overall just because the service was so good. Even though we did not bowl or

The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. One thing that surprised me was the fact that most places in Portland you have to make a reservation. YES it gets busy and it's for ALL AGES. I'm glad that it has its spun parking garage too. TBH one of the best parts is its location, plenty of breweries and places to nibble.

Logan, sky and Courtney were awesome in the moments where I was so late they helped me out.

Jessica was our server, she was great! So friendly made our experience just the best!

Sophia?s the best! Give her the damn cards!

Great place. Held a company event there and catering, bar tending, and entertainment options were just right

It's a nice place, but it just costs too much. The place was almost empty, and the bowling cost $60 an hour, plus shoes. No place in town charges this much.

This place is nice since it's renovation. We went for a private party and had the balcony with arcade, bar, shuffleboard, and a good catered spread. There were TVs to watch the games on. Then we bowled on the main floor, with music, lighting, electronic scoring, and big screen TVs. There is a restaurant and bar on the main floor too, with lots more TVs, more video games, real pinball, skeeball, and crane games. It's bright and clean. Had a great time.

It was decent, is a nice place. We only play one bowling game we wanted to stay longer but we couldn't enjoy the arcade games due to a private event. And there was no pool table either.

Sophia is always our server on Sundays when we come in for lunch. She is very friendly and quick with service!

Had so much fun with friends. Comfortable seating, easy to reserve and you have a server assigned to your lane which makes it easy to order food and drinks. They have a bunch of arcade games upstairs and another bar. Several of the games weren't working, but not a big deal. There's a parking garage, but it fills up quickly, so be prepared to drive around the block, but even then it's pretty easy.

Fun place, great location. They have your standard computer scoring, retractable bumpers for the kids. They food options and quality was pretty good. Salads, brunch, plus the usual fried fare. The service was fantastic from the front check-in to the table staff. Great place for a date night or family outing.

Another guys Thursday night at Grand Central and Jessica like always goes above and beyond. I was talking with my buddy and didn't realize Jessica had refilled my drink with ice. But thats what Jessica does the little things.

Tuna salad, Cobb salad, burger, and kid chicken nuggets. Everything was okay, other than waiting 20 minutes for one drink.

11am on a Saturday and the place is completely empty because they charge $60 per hour. Looking to bowl by yourself? Grand central says kick rocks

The server was awesome.I'm definitely coming here again

Jessica was great! Took a photo for our group and was happy to help us after we finished bowling.

Jessica was a great server. Very friendly and attentive. Great food too. Thanks Jessica!

Definitely expected there to be more games, it was a lot of fun. Decently prices food and drinks, and nice staff

My personal experience with this business: FOR BOWLING MAKE RESERVATIONS. PERIOD. I was lucky and got 30 minutes of bowlinghave to make a reservation but so many people make reservations that if you don't you're never going to get in most likely especially on peak play x weekends and evenings so on so forththere is soon as you walk in the doors there's a bar to the left no minors allowed there is a desk to your front that is to pay for bowling and to check in for your bowling lane when you make your reserva

cortney Owens was absolutely amazing thank you, Grant Central bowling alley. My birthday was a major success.

Just had the best night at Grand Central thanks to our amazing server Jessica!!

This place is great, air hockey and a ton of other fun games upstairs, bowling downstairs. Great fun for the whole family

This has been a go to place for me and my wife for some great food and fun place the nachos and hands down the best

Had a blast! Thank you Azura for the most amazing drink! :)

My hubby and I bowled for the first time and we enjoyed our time here. We were visiting Portland from Central California. Calamari was delicious, bathrooms were clean and staff were really helpful and friendly. I totally recommend this place.

My wife and I had a blast!!! Stumbled across the place driving by heading to a bar for a drink, decided to stop in and best decision in Portland!! Bowling, Arcade Games, food was decent and prices were great for happy hour as we went after 8:30pm. Was very modern, clean and fun. Only complaint was the music choice hahaha but everyone has their own taste, still 5 stars!!!!

They are wonderful, we had an amazing time. Great atmosphere, great place to celebrate a birthday or gather with friends.

Azura was our server and and was incredible ! Extremely friendly and fast service with great attention to detail. She made everyone in our group laugh and feel welcome in the space. Was my first time here for my birthday party and definitely will be coming back based on her service and the great quality of the food!

Fun comfortable, fun atmosphere, good service.

Sofia was an amazing server! She makes the best drinks

Our server Maya was absolutely Amazing!!! We brought our large family gathering into a small area and were constantly moving around. We were chaos!! Maya did incredible with us!! She kept our orders perfectly organized and was really pleasant the entire time!!! I used to serve and I wouldn't have wanted us. She's wonderful and should get a Get Out Of Jail free card for being so Freaking Awesome!!!

Great atmosphere! Sophia made great drinks and provided great service.

I'm someone who works in an industry where your hard work may sometimes feel unrecognizable but I do appreciate those who serve the best customer service. At GCB I felt an amazing experience of what true service was and I'd have to say Azura takes the cake. She made me feel welcomed and most importantly listed other menu options that fit my dietery restrictions. Thank you Azura for being genuine.

What an amazing server we will be back!! Thank you Stephanie ??

Very nice place with video games on both floors. They also have foosball, air hockey and a shuffleboard

The bowling alley is fun. Very dark and decorated like a night club. We didn't eat there so I won't comment on the food. The bowling itself was a little pricey, as there definitely are more cheaper options to bowl in town. The parking was a hit and a miss due to limited parking in the underground structure, and the street parking is paid at $4 every 2 hrs and was slim to come by, so definitely plan your parking/walking to the place accordingly based on your time and your will of walking distance. The bowlin

Sophia took great care of us she is very welcoming an entertaining she was very attentive

Lots of fun, it was a great venue for a private event.

Azura, our server, was very friendly and accommodating. We had a large group and different people ordered but she kept it all straight. She even set up 5 balloons, one for each of the birthday people in our group.

A little overpriced. The atmosphere is nice though, and the food is definitely solid. Servers are friendly, the lanes seem even, give it a try!

Went on a Monday and played some arcade games and enjoyed HH! Jessica at the bar was awesome.

Fun family spot and great for adult evening out. Staff is amazing, layout is fun and fluid, and food and drink are delicious!! $$

Excellent service from Azura, got a half-hour lane during happy hour and they were on top of everything.

I had a bunch of loud, messy kids with me and she was super patient and nice to us!

Came here for snacks and games - Jessica was our waiter and she was great!! On it and fun.

Excellent service and a decent arcade. Bowling alley is top notch.

I always come to Grand Central and ask for Azura because she's literally the best server! Attentive, funny, sweet and kind. 1000/10 best service if you have her taking care of you!

Friendly, awesome, and made sure we had a good time :)

Great fun. Love the automatic scoring, the lights and music. Friendly service.

If you need a place to host an event, or a training. Haley is the person, and this is the place! From inquiry all the way to the end of the event they have you covered, and they can help make literally anything happen!

We had a fantastic time as a group at our event! The food was great and came out hot. The employees were super helpful. A special shout out to Azura, who served all of us at the lanes, along with others. She was quick to respond and did so with energy and a smile!

Azura was an amazing server. Highly recommend this place for a fun time

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
