I feel like it's not fun anymore compared to last year when it first opened. The games keep getting difficult as it progress in an new stage and become very overwhelming as it's not kid's and family friendly anymore. Been here a few times over the course of the 2024 year. First time I went with a couple of kids (age 8 and 10) in April and it was pretty neat as it was hyped and the machines were not super easy but wasn't impossible to leave without a couple of cute prizes. We did spend about $80 that time. Fast forward to August and went with a 2 teenagers and 2 kids age 6 and 4 and spent about $150 and didn't win too much. Grabbit has became our favorite place to go to at the maplewood mall. Machines are hard but fair. We always walk out with a good amount of prizes. Daniel the owner listens to his customers and knows what to order. Even the smaller plushies are worth playing for because you can redeem them for bigger prizes if you get too many. Highly recommend. My son can't stop asking to go back to Grabbit.

This is one of my favorite places to go for an arcade, I've won many prizes from the location and I can say it is absolutely kid friendly, The owner is extremely nice and we are often returners from week to week, I would 100% recommend to any anime fans in need of rare figures and etc!

Not really about claw machines as it is just testing your luck. Not your typical claws where you grab at stuff and dump it in the chute. It is more RNG/luck based with grabbing ping pong balls and trying to have them bounce just right to land on a tiny area. Very difficult to win as it isn't skill based at all.

REVIEW UPDATE Originally, it was 5/5 stars. Great owner. BUT.... The simple game of the claw machine has become too "challenging" for my kids 10, 8 and 3. We still stop in to see the prizes, but my kids don't want to play anymore. Challenging arcade! Different from a normal claw machine where your only objective is to only grab the plushie or etc. There are claw machines that have different challenges in order to win a prize. Remember the key is to stay committed and determined to win these challenges! Owner is always very cool and welcoming. He even taught us some trick to the challenges. I'd say the prizes are more Japanese/Anime dominated. Check it out! Also, food court is right across from this location too. What an easy date!

Great time with the kiddo's! Both my son(8) and daughter(5) were able to win a bunch of plushies! Games were fairly easy, so much so that my daughter was able to kill it on the machines. Also love their take on the machines, different types of games like a swinging ring, grab a ball and open cage types. Definitely going back!

Heard about it so thought I went to check it out. Spoke with the owner?s dad and he seems to be a very jolly and warm person! 2 stars because the worker there was awesome and helpful but the claw machines themselves were impossible. Spent over $50 and left with my son crying over not winning anything. Huge disappointment after reading all the great reviews. The stuffed animals were way too heavy for the settings on the machines and it was impossible to pick anything up. Awesome when they opened! Since then, I've noticed all the claws do not grab nearly as strong as before. In the past they would make sure your kid didn't leave empty handed. Now you can spend $25 there and leave with nothing. I used to go regularly, but from now on we will ongoing to clawland in maplewood. Grabbit has turned into the same value as the crane games you find at cub foods.

Grabbit Arcade is one of our regular stops when we're at the mall. The arcade is always clean and the claw machines are well-stocked with new prizes every time we go. One of the best things about the arcade is the people. Today was the first time we didn't win something. The owner came and rigged the machine so my tearful toddler didn't have to go home empty-handed. This place is fun for all!

It was my first time at this claw machine arcade. At first I thought it was small compared to other locations. However, one I started playing it felt 100% different. We come here when we can and that's most times because of how awesome the place is! The hospitality here, you won't get anywhere else within the mall!! Everyone is so friendly! I come in here weekly, sometimes twice a week if i can. They sometimes move toys i want to the top of the machine to help me win the one i want! The prizes are fun and cute. I like that its not a cash grab crane game area. If you want a place you can win things and learn how to use crane games this is the place to go. Grabbit is the best claw-cade around the twin cities! The prizes are always legitimate and varied (figurines, plushies, etc), so there's something for everyone. I definitely recommend singing up for the free loyalty program for returning customers.

Favorite arcade place in Minnesota! It's clean/sanitized and prizes are amazing. It's something different than what you see out there for arcades. You can win plushies, figurines, keychains, etc. and redeem other prizes. Everything is winnable - just gotta ask for help sometimes and the staff is very welcoming. Grabbit Arcade throws me back to my time in Japan!! I was only in town for a week and I already wanting to come back! Let's start off with esthetics! My experience in Grabbit arcade was amazing. There wasn't that many claw machines to play on. But, I did win some prizes that I liked. The Minecraft plushies and the noodle plush keychain. I would like to visit this arcade again :]. Maybe add some bird plushies, gudetama plushies and Pok?mon plush in the claw machine.
