Golfland Sunsplash

Golfland Sunsplash

Reviews Summary

Golfland Sunsplash receives mixed reviews, with praise for its mini-golf courses, variety of attractions, and nostalgic charm, but criticism for high prices, poor maintenance, and inconsistent staff service. Many enjoy the water slides and family-friendly activities, though overcrowding, long wait times, and ride closures frequently disappoint. Positive experiences highlight friendly staff and fun atmosphere, while negative reviews cite safety concerns, outdated facilities, and strict policies on outside food. Overall, it’s a hit-or-miss destination depending on expectations and timing.

My kids had fun and the lines for rides and slides were short and quick but entry was little pricey and it seemed that parents drop off their kids here because there were far too few adults around for my comfort (though maybe that's a good thing for some). For perspective I'm a father of daughters ages 6-9.

Last weekend, we had an absolute blast meeting up with friends and family for a night of mini golf! As soon as we approached the entrance, we were greeted by the sight of a massive castle adorned with vibrant neon lights. It set the perfect mood for an evening filled with fun and laughter. The air was electric with the sounds of arcade games all around us, including some of the beloved classics that sparked happy nostalgia for many in our group. Despite the bustling atmosphere, we made our way to the back

This place waa fun we played lazer tag and raced cars and played some gold it was a great place to enjoy! The place was nice and clean and staff was great the young lady in golf center very helpful thank you!! Lazer tag assistant was great!!

We did the night splash and it was fun but the park is under construction so that's a bit annoying and also when I bought my tickets off Groupon they didn't mention that 5 to 6 slides were not going to be open. I guess they dont open those slides on Wednesday and Thursdays or something like that so that was a bit annoying and disappointing to me and my kids.

We visited the park on a Tuesday and had no problems with crowds, lines, or waiting. My grandkids are 7, 8, and 14 years old. Everyone had a great time. Staff were helpful and friendly. I felt the lifeguards did a great job supervising the play areas and slides for safety. Water appeared clean and park was kept tidy. Highly recommend this water park.

The best waterpark in the valley! Way better than the west side one. Lines are minimal and tons of fun slides.

Davis the lifeguard, so majestic. I'm glad I talked to Davis because he vibes, his aura can be felt across the park. Super cool guy definitely deserves every award he can win. Wasn't able to tell his supervisor what an awesome guy he was but if you're reading this please consider giving him some kind of promotion or raise, can't wait to work with him next year. From Wyatt with the shades and Nolan the cool one.

We did the medium golf course and it was a good challenge but not too hard that you wanted to smash a clowns nose. It was roughly 16$ per person for one round and it took us about an hour or so. It's right off the interstate. A few holes a ball would get stuck and you could tell it was a problem so they really need to fix some of that. Birds are all over, and their poop. But very pretty trees! We didn't use the arcade or get food so can't comment on that. But the one course was fun and they had music going.

Two years ago, we brought 14 kids here. Back then, only one slide was closed. This year, three were down?plus the bumper cars were out of service, and the go-karts weren't running either. It was a little disappointing, but the kids still had a great time. There's also not nearly enough shade for the crowd they draw. Only four cabanas, each seating six, and just three disabled parking spots?and those are a pretty good distance from the entrance. Still, even with all that, the kids had a blast. And at the e

We did the mini golf on our visit and played the most challenging of the 3 different courses. ?? The layout and conditions were awesome, classic California style holes, and true rolling greens. Was not crowded even midday Saturday... the flow was never interrupted. Can't wait to play the other two! ????????

Overall, this is a great place. Season passes are a must and well worth it. There is lots of stuff to do for the whole family! The managers are very helpful and great to work with. However, some of the other staff are not quite up to par, especially in the arcade area when ordering food. This is not an isolated incident, it has been on a number of occasions.

I've been to this park before since I was a small child and I'm in my 40s. Always been fantastic they do cool Renovations and the park is a secure place. It also has a really cool arcade that's old school and has a bunch of new and old style video games in it there are endless games in this place guys! But the reason for my post this day and rating is I called to get pricing information on a platinum season pass and a nice woman named Linda answer the phone, she seamlessly walked me through a bunch of very

When is the last time you guys updated this place? The laser tag is from the 80s for sure. Everything is literally falling apart. And getting help from anyone takes a long time , and honestly the whole ring door bell thing is really ghetto. Your staff is amazing doing the best they can, there is not enough of them. I spent a lot of money, and me and my kids waited for every single attraction over 15 min , and we were the only ones in line. When we came in we asked about the arcade add on but she did not kno

Absolutely not worth it! $65 per person and half the slides are closed. It's not even the park itself that is so bad though. It's the staff. We were ?greeted? by a rude woman who babbled on about their policy (which is a scam) because you can't buy a ticket online and expect to show up and use it unless you have your ID and the card. Ridiculous policy, especially since we were traveling with a team of young teens whose parents were back home. After that was sorted out and we wasted 20 minutes I walked in wi

Good place to go if you have kids. They offer a lot of activities to do. Perfect place for a date night and adventure. We went a little late, so we did not have time to try their food offerings, but i will say the pizza smelled good.

We did the night splash, it was lots of fun kids really liked the big slides I wasn't able to get pictures of the slides. The lazy river was nice and the wave pool was fun. They have a really cool spot for younger kids that had water activities and slides. Also the snack bar was good a fairly priced.

This place is horrible. They treat their employees like slaves. They refuse to give water to employees even when begged. There has been a few times employees actually passed out from dehydration due to being refused water. I don't understand how management can get away with this, I bet the owners have no idea. And not to mention how rude the little girl is at the front food counter. The one with reddish blonde long hair. I can't fathom how she still has a job.

Great things to do for kids. As adults go, the miniature golf was fun. A little old or outdated. But overall a good place to hang out if you like the arcade and putt putt. I went during the winter time. Slides weren't open so can't comment on that.

We love using our Pogo Pass for our yearly summer visit to Sunsplash! The kids love the toddler zone + family pool. So many fun slides + attractions and we love adding on arcade games , laser tag + miniature golf and other attractions at Golfland. Thank you so much to Sunsplash + Pogo Pass for the family memories we get to create here!

This is such an amazing and family friendly place. As two adults, we had the most fun ever. We easily spent 4 hours at the water part and 2 hours with mini golf. With the night time tickets we didn't even have time to do all the things that came with the package deal! Going during a weekday is definitely less busy. For the water park the ground is unbelievably hot in summer so definitely bring water shoes or something. For the amount of time we spent at the park, we thought the tickets were extremely reason

Visited here today & will not be returning. Paid full price to get in and no where is it posted or advertised a couple of their rides are down . Got ice cream and they are out of 3+ ice cream flavors for the iceberg shakes. Staff makes a chocolate shake that's not even mixed. Soda machines are down- no solutions are provided from the staff . Staff had their big water bottles on 2 of the tables in the iceberg shop. Tables are for the customers. Waste of money, staff is not friendly anymore. Staff is very in

Good spot for wholesome fun!?? ?? Stopped in on a Saturday in October for a round of golf. It was about $30 for three people to play mini golf and they had some cool Halloween themes on each of the courses. Pretty good deal for an hour of fun with my family. I drive by here all the time but I'm 31 and never really had a reason to stop in. Glad we came because it's a really cool spot. Highly recommend for a family outing or a birthday, you won't regret it.

EXCELLENT! Historic film place from Bill & Ted?s Excellent Adventure. This was the scene where Napoleon goes to the water park. This place is pretty cool. Can't wait for summer to try the Napoleon Slide. Mini golf was pretty fun. There are tons of different activities and games. Next time we will try the go carts. Bumper cars looked fun but it was small. Good selection of games inside very different from Main Event. We will return again. Good location and historic filming place.

We have been coming here for our spring break for years and it's always fun and worth it with all the things a pass comes with. But a special shout out to Ben who was working the bumper cars last weekend. What a delightful person! So friendly, helpful and looked like he truly enjoyed his job. He made this last time truly memorable.

My kids had a great time. But as an adult and parent I notice staff wasn't really happy to be here kinda poor service we spent a lot of money here to have a good time and the staff and atmosphere wasn't worth the money we spent we literally sat 20 minutes for attendant for Lazer tag finally when he got there just to tell us we were out of time while we were waiting on him for 20 minutes

ONE STAR ? Overcrowded, Disorganized, and a Total Waste of Time I visited Golfland Sunsplash in Mesa on a Saturday, having purchased our tickets online for the advertised discount. While the mini golf was enjoyable and the check-in was relatively quick, everything else about our experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. First problem: parking. The place was completely packed. We had to circle around for quite a while to find a spot. Once inside, the chaos continued. We went to use the locker

This place has been a go to family fun day for myself, for over 20. Bumper boats is probably some of the most fun, but be prepared to be SOAKED. Arcade is Expensive, and selection of games is a little underwhelming.. but the activities surrounding the arcade room are 100% worth your time! 3 choice of mini golf course, fairly maintained, are always a great way to spend a few hours out in the sun. A lot of shady spots to cool off !!

Don't waste your money here. First and foremost, the staff are inexperienced or careless or both. The wave pool is dangerous and the lifeguards (at least 4 on site) didn't even notice me and my daughter drowning!! Someone pulled us down in panic. Way too many bodies in the pool at once, life guards were only concerned about people staying off the walls. When I reported the issue, the first person who answered, again, inexperienced and rude! I finally got a hold of someone who cared (thank you Sheryl) and

WAY too pricey for the fact that they make you dump out any food before you enter. They even made us dump out our water bottles and fill up with nasty PHX water inside. For a mom of a kid on a special diet, it was kind of a nightmare. Definitely not little kid/family friendly. For a place where you expect to spend a full day, come on, let people bring in snacks, chances are we will buy your overpriced disgusting food by the end anyways. A hungry toddler is the last place I want to be with my kids, definitel

Wanted to do last minute mini golfing so we tried this place out. It's such a cool attraction.. definitely will be back.

Sunsplash side was great. Great slides, lifeguards are pleasant and overall clean. Golfland on the other hand was not the same. I spend over $300 for all day water and all day fun for 4 people. Sunsplash put the bracelet on and it came off at some point. When we went to golfland they would not help us. Told us they couldn't give us vouchers or anything g towards the bumper boats, race cars or bumper cars. They wouldn't let us have the 4th club or ball to golf even though we had proof of purchase and a pict

We love sunsplash, and have been going here on and off for years. Went recently after not visiting for several years, and while the rides are still fun, the park maintenance is really sub-par. I was disappointed to see just how much this park has degraded unnecessarily over a few years. The lack of routine maintenance to slides, drainage systems, paint, and pool decking has really left this place feeling run down. The best ride, Double Dare, was broken on our visit. It seems like management has invested hea

This is my favorite water park in Arizona! Staff is very accommodating and friendly. The park looks very clean, and the water is clear and refreshing! The pizza is awesome and my kids had a great time!

Ashley the manager would not give me a refund for my broken locker as well as we had human hair in our burger. She said she couldn't refund me or she would get her third write up and loose her job which seemed dramatic and manipulative. The locker was broken all day and we had contaminated food which I didn't even ask for a refund for. I should?ve been offered a refund and then some for this experience. This was our first time here and it was disgusting. Staff was particularly off putting especially the wor

Overall it's a good time. The rides are pretty fun and the place was clean. The only real negative I have is that it is pretty dated and you can definitely see it's age. You can save a bit of money buying your tickets in the app before you go just as a heads up. They also don't have small lockers so a medium is the cheapest you can get at $12.

We took our group from Foundation for Blind Children, and we were so pleased with our visit. The go cart, bumper boats, and bumper cars were a blast. The staff were very accommodating with our group. Thank you for a great time Golfland!

Always a great time. Never OVERLY crowded. You know the places I'm talking about. The line for every ride is like 20 minutes. Not here. It's tight and everything is close, not confusing to find your way around and plenty of things to do for a day pass. The games and golf opens at 10. Most of the water stuff doesn't open until 11. Night swim opens at 5 and seems cool but it's a separate fee. After 7 hours of water parking I just couldn't do it lol.

We had a great time playing mini golf at Golfland Sunsplash. A round of golf is very reasonably priced, and the course is pretty nice. The scenery was enjoyable. We had a great time, and we went on a weekday afternoon over Spring break, and we did not have a wait.

Worse place to go to, very racist and the lifeguards didn't even take the state from a adults regarding a accident that happen. 6/27/2025. Im beyond disappointment on the lifeguards and supervisor including the police officer. My child was treated like a criminal today. They couldn't provide evidence of the camaras regarding this accident. Very shady. I will not return this place ever again.

I've always enjoyed some splash. The slides, the wave pool, it's definitely family fun. We enjoyed it so much that my son wants to work here as a lifeguard. Fingers crossed he makes it past the prerequisite test and gets into Lifeguard training. But we love coming here for the summer When the temperature is hot sun splash definitely helps us keep cool.

This place is incredible! The mini golf courses are challenging, creative, and designed to test your abilities.

Went on Wednesday since they have a deal that day. (Which must be purchased at venue) Super chill, not too busy. Mini golf was 18 holes, laser tag was fun, arcade had a lot of games. Great time! Overall 4/5. One star less because the building felt old and musky inside but the castle theme was super cool to walk into

They are under construction for a new slide. There were no lounge chairs. The walk areas were cramped due to the construction. Half the slides were not running and only had limited staff for the food. They shut down the go carts a 4 so we didn't get to use them with our pass. It was packed, over an hour wait to order food. Some of the slides were also an hr wait. My review is as disorganized as they were. Save your money or go somewhere else.

I took my mother here to spend some time with her to play mini golf. When we got there we couldn't help but notice how run down and old the place is. While I was trying to pay for mini golf I had the worst customer service that I ever encountered. We told the cashier that my mother is a senior and the girl behind the desk looked at us like we were crazy. My mother is a senior but she looks young. The girl behind the desk went to another girl that worked there and asked her about the senior citizen discount

Cabanas are not worth it. They are dirty and worn, broken and disfunctional. The ground was very sticky, there were bees, the storage locker was full of water, the sides of the cabana were all off the track, the zippers were all broken, and one side had an entire panel missing. The chairs were disgusting; we put our towls down on then to sit. Save yourself the money and get there early to get a spot in the shade. The food was decent, what you'd expect from a theme park. The burgers were inside out. Very od

Fun for kids under the age of 13.

Went for mini golf and did the most challenging course. It was challenging and very fun. Very well kept.

Maria assistant manager is so sweet. She assisted me on information around corporate parties, birthday parties celebration and events on property and really appreciated her taking the time. Best experience highly recommended.

$221 for 2 adults and 2 children, just for the water park from 10am to 5pm. I guess the price wouldn't have been that bad, had all the slide been operating. There was plenty of seating areas, tables with canapes, and reclining lawn chairs. They have a snack bar, beer and ice cream. Unfortunately on our visit a child pooped in one of the pool, and it took a total of 15 to get it out, from when they noticed, called a manger/supervisor over and then remove it from the pool. That pretty much ended our visit. I

This place is ridiculous. Never coming again. Bought our tickets online to be at the water park and extra activities and threw away the wristband after waterpark because the worker didn't tell us we needed to keep it or even really speak to us. Workers could not replace it when thought we showed them confirmation. Spent a bunch if money for this useless piece of trash place and the manager we spoke to couldn't even help us. The girl worker started to catch an attitude as we did too because we had a reason.

We had an awesome time at the waterpark and mini golfing! Got there at opening. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We were able to get a locker right away and the lines to the slides were very short. We never had to wait more than 5 min for a slide. All the rides were so much fun! The wave pool and lazy river were a blast as well! Mini golfing was great, lots of fun holes. We will definitely be back!!

Came here to golf with some friends, and it was nice! Golf was pretty cheap all things considered, with interesting courses. Employees were awesome and they even have guitar hero in the arcade ????

We went for the night splash, and it was a great time! The kids loved the big slides, though I wasn't able to get pictures of them. The lazy river was relaxing, the wave pool was exciting, and there was a fantastic play area with water activities and slides for younger kids. Plus, the snack bar had good options at reasonable prices.

Been coming here for many years. The golf course is falling apart. Lots of trip hazards on walking paths. Pools are falling apart and are a bit dangerous. I am a CPO and there is black algea in the lazy river, black algea in many other areas of the park. The Colgeron is a death trap. The main drain cover is broken that caused a mild infection on my left foot after hitting it and cutting my foot. The water quality is ABSOLUTELY FREAKING HORRIBLE. I spent four days disinfecting my foot. This park needs some s

Wanted to do last minute mini golfing so we tried this place out. It's such a cool attraction.. definitely will be back.

We flew out to Phoenix for the day and went to this splash park. They have laser tag, bumper cars, go karts, bumper boats, and 3 different courses of mini golf. Then there's the water park that has a wave pool, multiple slides, lilly pads for kids with a smaller pool for younger kids. They also have an arcade however I wouldn't waste money on that as a lot of the games didn't work or had issues. The unlimited splash park and play is the best way to go! We had a ball!! We were there from 11am-9pm. The kids s

Well, i took my family mini golfing, and it was really fun, albeit my toddler not wanting to cooperate with me or her Momma, but that's on us, not yall. Golfland is a pretty good time, just remember to bring water even if it ain't HOT it's still Arizona and by hole 9 you're probably gonna over heat and die, the group playing behind you will now have to put over your dead body and while that might be a fun time just bring a tumbler of ice water, not a little 20oz bottle from QT, that's not gonna cut it, get

Sunsplash does not allow Outside food even with a Severe allergy to the Gluten (Celiac Disease). As an establishment the American Disabilities Act should be used moving forward to allow people that cannot eat the food inside to bring their own food so they can be well nourished while enjoying time with friends or family. This is something I believe should be looked into. I will be advising all family and friends to not go here until this is changed

Your lifeguard Davis is the most energetic, beautifal, and overall greatest man I have ever had the warm welcome to meet. Not only did he gift my friend and I a chance to speak to him and listen to his beautifal voice, one that sounds like the choir of heaven itself mind you, but he engaged in convincing my friend to have his mind set on working at this location. We did not get the chance to drop by the office and put in a good name for him, but I hope you read this and give him his much deserved reward for

The price for the water park is pricey, and added to that, when you enter, you have to pay for lockers to keep your stuff in there (no other option). So it's $50 plus $15, a little excessive for what they offer. They didn't even have 100% of the park available, many toboggans were unavailable. I hurt my foot on the slide that goes up and down from side to side, I went way to fast and hit one of the borders, leaving me with a 2cm wound (not a big deal, but is that supposed to happen? No). I did everything in

My family and I went to visit Golfland from Colorado for my kid's Spring Break and unfortunately it was closed due to poor weather. While trying to get ahold of someone to discuss the issue, the process of getting through to someone from the customer service lines made the situation more frustrating. However, once I got a hold of Brady, I was extremely impressed with his professionalism, empathy and the way he went out of his way to make it right. I know they can't control the weather and have to make de

Awesome time!! Great waterslides and games. Clean facilities and staff were amazing. We stayed from open til close and it was worth every penny!

Fun, clean and good prices! Aunt wait to see the new slides. Is summer winter there's something to do here you're round. Safe family fun.

My mom is a diabetic and they didnt let us bring candy if her sugar drops. Its way to hot in Arizona so of course the other candy we had was melted by time we got to the car. My mom was dizzy so i had to think fast. We came here for vacation and we most definitely wont be back. The people tried to argue with us about letting my baby use one of their floats saying she had to be inside of 1 and i had to be inside another one shes 8 months old i can literally hold her. Half the arcade games didnt work so i fel

Don't waste your money here. They directly violate federal law (ADA) by refusing to let people with Celiac Disease bring their own food in. There is no way that someone bringing in food that is safe for them to eat would hinder the day to day operations of this business. Do better.

Was fun but being over charged both times for mini golf not cool. Had my father not been in from out of town I would have walked out. Definitely other putt putt businesses to give my business too. Too bad your business needs to overcharge. I will not be back and all because of less than $10

Lazy river was dirty the workers are every rude only very few knew what they were doing everything is out of date and most of the arcade games are where down. there's no signs telling you where to go, and you can't even ask the workers for help Half of the slides were dripping all over the mini golf course it is not worth your money. DO NOT COME HERE!!

Beautiful park great for the whole family's,reasonable prices and they serve food on site..the staff was friendly and helpful, plenty of parking spaces no big lines to get onto rides or slides.we'll be back for sure.

I've been coming here since I was young every time I walk thru the aracade I love the feel of nostalgia. Yes it does have its wear and tear but it's still great

Nice place to take the kids. The little hills gave us challenges, but overall it was enjoyable. We came at a time when maintenance crews were washing down parts of the course, so some greens were a bit wet.

Sunsplash has definitely seen better days. The entire park is run down and shows some serious signs of neglect. The decking throughout the entire property is worn, chunks are missing and drainage pieces are bing held down by tape. The men?s bathroom/changing room was flooded and the urinals were all taped off. There's advertisements of Arizonas tallest water slide coming soon, but they may have been better off directing those funds to some much needed park improvements. For the price, we will definitely be

As a celiac (allergic to gluten/rye/barley/flour/oats/quinoa/millet/buckwheat and dairy ? THIS PLACE WAS AWFUL. Would not let me bring in my allergy safe food reminding me I can buy from them. A bag of chips. That was all I had the whole time I was there. 1 small bag of chips. I had called ahead and they said it was fine. Yes, I can go out to my car and eat ? without my family/friends. Get your s*** together. Celiac is a literal disability. DONT GIVE THE BLANKET ANSWER YOU HAVE BEEN Abbott food in a 7x8 bag

Played mini golf around 4PM on a Saturday (good time as the water park was closing). 1 adult price for 18 holes was $13 and 36 holes for $18, or $31 for 3 hours of unlimited fun pass. It took us 3 hours to play the 36 holes, because we were behind a slow group.. so I wouldn't recommend the unlimited pass. They have 3 18-hole mini courses. I think the "hole-in-one" concept was lame, not fun. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed ourselves.

Lots of fun to be had for the whole family! Great kiddie area that is easy to keep a watchful eye out for young children! Fun water slides for all! Easy to navigate, with lots of shade. The food was typical park food, but wasn't bad. Everyone ate! Only complaint is that it closes early. We would have liked to stay longer!

We went here on a really nice day specifically to play miniature golf. It was a fun time, however the facilities are very run down and a lot of damage at many of the holes kind of took away the fun of the event. Plenty of parking here, no problem with that at all.

Been going here for over 30 years. Love the arcade, sunsplash, and mini golf. The arcade needs to be updated and more games added, tons of old games are gone and need to be put back out, pinballs are like all gone except one or two, hate that it is mostly all ticket games now, wish it was more like other arcades in the valley or Dave n busters, having pretty much all ticket games defeats the purpose of the all you can play games when there is barely anything to play. Sunsplash and golfland definitely nee

this place is really fun. I really like it because of the slides and how fun it is and everyone?s always nice over there too. That's what I like about it but it's truly fun. You guys should go here.

Just came back from there and it was good water park but it's true finding the entrance is confusing but it's the main entrance, through the castle btw! Giving it a 4 stars because it is true, SOME of the employees are rude and they do lifeguard drills wile the pool is open clearing out everyone. I mean that's not bad but can't they do it afterwards?

Our family had a blast at Golfland Sunsplash! It's a fantastic place for a day of fun. The mini-golf courses were exciting and challenging for all ages. We couldn't get enough of the water park ? the slides and wave pool were a hit with the kids. The arcade games kept us entertained, and the snack options were great. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our visit even better. It's a perfect family-friendly destination with something for everyone. Golfland Sunsplash made our day memorable, and we'll de

Integrity check for the young man running the race cars @ 1115am?.your dishonesty got us a full $58 refund (we only asked for race car refund) Thank you Manager Alex for acknowledging our complaint and informing us that that young man knew way in advance of a birthday party but still scanned tickets and then lied stating he didn't know. We saw the staff approach and tell himI, this young man is willing to be dishonest about something small, well?..don't let him be a liability to GolfLand. We will be back, h

Mmmk, i knew this walking in as we've been to golf land many times over our visits but had to live my husbands childhood memory with my 2 and 7 year old.. SUNSPLASH is just as unkept as the rest of the facility. The standards are low. The water smells bad on the skin, like the PH balance is forsure off. My kids skin reacted, red, dry and patchy. There was DIRT at the bottom of the pools. Like you walked and dirt was being kicked up and mixed with the water. Not just a little dirt. The entire bottom had a l

The lines are pretty long and take a while. Wish they had a fast pass. Still had fun although in three hours was only able to do two rounds of go kart two rounds of laser tag, and one round of bumper boats

Lazy River dirty, some video games broke. Mix up over my purchase of meal with tickets and they overcharged me about $20 as said I only had $6.50 on my card and I had already pre paid for 3 pizzas and 3 pops! It took 4 people to figure out. So they overcharged me $20 for 3 pizzas and pop. I got so tired of waiting a half hour for them to figure it out I just paid and said ? whatever but won't be doing this again.? I have more family coming next week and we willl be visiting a different water park!

Visited Golfland Sunsplash on Saturday had a great time. Played Mini golf, they offer 18 or 36 holes. They also have bumper cars, water slides, outdoor go-carts, and indoor arcade games. Great place to take the family.

Shame on you Golfland Sunsplash for not allowing outside food for people with medical disabilities(Celiac Disease as an example). As someone who has Celiac Disease it is not easy to have to deal with establishments not complying with the ADA allowing people to bring small reasonable amounts of snacks in. Especially in this Arizona heat hydration and having food in your system are crucial and you not allowing people who have medical conditions which they CAN NOT control to not bring in safe food is absolutel

The water slides at Golfland Sunsplash are a blast! I had so much fun trying them all. They're super fast and twisty, and the splash at the end is the best part. It's a great way to cool off on a hot day. Even if you're not a thrill-seeker, there are slides for all levels, so everyone can have a good time. The lines can get long, but the excitement is worth the wait. I'd recommend bringing sunscreen and staying hydrated because you won't want to leave once you start sliding. It's pure summer fun for everyon

The golf course was repaired, so better than last time but the arcade was less than desirable with over half of the games out of order and the staff is not trained in how to do much at all. They were very slow and unhelpful the entire night and it was a school fundraiser night!

super fun, all the employees are knowledgeable about the set up not sure why it's $18 to use a storage space lol but aside from that we loved it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
