Our group came here and we had a great time. The designs are fun and well maintained. It was pretty funny trying to fish our golf balls out of the water when our shots missed. Also a nice young employee named Jared was willing to take some photos of our group and was patient and helpful when we had to redo them to get better lighting.
Like most golf lands, some of the courses have seen many many years of service. Still, it seems they have been maintained well. Nothing much to say. It's mini golf on some classic course designs. As with most mini golf spots, your fun may vary based on if you have large groups or slow players in front of you.
There are two 18 wholes courses. You can play one or both. Took us around 1.5 hours to finish 36 holes on a Wednesday evening. There are less people and no wait time between wholes. It is a very fun event to spend time with friend ??
With my son on Spring break, we visited this place. It's a good spot to spend a couple of hours with an activity outside. The two courses are fun, we enjoyed them a lot. There's no/hardly any recycling bins for your empty water bottles.
Speaking of the arcade only - Old, outdated, broken arcade games are not serviced. Very hot, AC system does not compensate for all the arcade machinery. Will be going to Bowlermo across the street from now on. Much better and maintained machines, way better for and service.
We went for a birthday party for one of my son's friends. It was awesome. It was a lot of joy to play golf they also have arcades with games. But their games is very expensive. So I would just recommend to enjoy the golf
Really good prices for some family fun. I personally like to go for the mini golf but they have a kid friendly arcade and water park/slides as well. Their games could use some updating as a large amount are geared towards younger kids but overall this place is pretty cool. I've seen several families have birthday parties as well there under a covered area with tables and benches. This place also has it's own parking lot so that will not be an issue.
Fun place for families to enjoy together. The course is colourful and has little obstacles to make it more challenging and exciting. It took us about 2 hours to complete our course. Everyone was friendly, but there wasn't a wide variety of food available. Overall, a lot of fun, would visit again.
Mini golf is a great covid activity! It is outdoors and the employees clean the place and equipment well. This place never fails to be fun. The water fountains and playful decorations make the atmosphere entertaining. The fact that the place stays open late really makes it great. It's a great place for a date or hanging out with friends. I love this place.
Difficult to find the entrance as you have to go through the arcade. There are two courses here, both are good and take a while to complete. Had fun.
Booked an event here for my birthday 2 months ago and it was pretty awesome! Staff was generally friendly, food was pretty tasty and the games provided at the arcade were pretty fun! Overall, if you want to have a pretty fun experience in 2 ways whether it be golf or the arcade, then this place is for you!
Amazing place to try your luck in golf. We went there to try first time how to play golf and it was wonderful experience, the tickets are affordable at $12 and it was not crowded so we got so much time to play. I would definitely go again
Pretty cool miniature golf area. You need to reserve online. Junior/ senior entry fee is around 12$ general adult fee is 13$. Lots of parking spaces. Inside the golf course, everybody was following the 6 feet rule and wearing masks. Even the golf balls and clubs are sanitized by the staff as well. They got 18 levels with beautiful settings. My family enjoyed the evening here. People were very friendly too they weren't rushing you to finish the game, they waited for us to finish. Especially when you go with
Awesome place to play minigold, arcade and even swimming pool. The golf places needs a bit of maintenance as i had to pull out dozens of balls in one of jammed holes lol. Other than that, folks here are friendly staffs are nice and nice arcade gaming stuffs not much crowded too :) oh one more thing u need to scan a score card barcode label and wait until to hear the speaker wait a bit to get the balls from the machine. It needs maintenance too!
This place is falling into disrepair in a bad way. The courses weren't super interesting to begin with, but now are in such a sorry state that it's not worth going. It's also very expensive! I paid $70 for me and three kids, for ?18 holes? ? of which one isn't a hole really, just one shot (18), one is completely missing (no.13), one is broken (the moving parts on hole 12 have stopped moving) and many others were half broken or extremely dirty.
Very nice place for family fun. Much larger and has outdoor covered tables as well as inside seating areas. Also has a water slide in one corner. Milpitas facility is not as nice or as busy.
???? Golfland San Jose: A Fun-Filled Destination for Family and Friends! ???????? Get ready for an exciting day of mini-golf and entertainment at Golfland San Jose! ????? This amusement park offers a wide range of activities for everyone to enjoy. From challenging mini-golf courses to thrilling arcade games, there's something for every member of the family and group of friends. ???? Put your putting skills to the test as you navigate through creative and whimsical obstacles on the mini-golf courses. The
It is open late, you can do a 18 or 36 holes. Clean and nice holes. Arcades at the front. It takes about 1h for the 18holes. Lots of people a Friday night but still enjoyable. Good parking, birthday possibility.
Fun fun fun for the whole family! Two 18 hole mini golf courses. Fun and challenging obstacles. Snack bar. Vending machines. Old school arcade inside. And don't forget your bathing suit to play on the two water slides. Check their web site for deals.
Great experience! $21 for 36 holes (2 18 holes games) It took us about one and a half hours to go through all of them.
The courses are fun but I wouldn't do them too often or I'd get tired of them. Luckily they have an arcade and that can be a fun thing to do with friends late at night, but I'd recommend buying just one or two cards to share and reuse for credits.
It was a fun lil course to go on, there's two different ones. The first one has 18 holes and second has 28
I was born and raised at Emerald Hills Golfland and have been going for 20 years. It has gotten quite expensive over the years but I guess lack of competition in the Bay Area will cause that (seriously, Golfland holds a monopoly over mini golf courses in the Bay Area lol). Anyway, my recent visit displayed a lack of maintenance at this facility. Lots of leaves on the green and the tee area is completely worn down on many holes. Plus, many of the tunnels have blockages and the moving parts of the buildings d
Not bad location to bring your kids after school when it's slow, but the price is way over board. The games only give you 1 life which can be a complete waste, especially if your kids doesn't know how to play the game right. It'll take a few tries accumulating close to $10 for a play, which is a complete waste. A decent variety of games for kids to play and parents to join, but there were some games out of order, but the Technician/Manager offered a credit for the kids to play pac man which was Very nice,
Great experience. Family Fun!
Celebrated my son's birthday there. It was our first time, and everyone had a great time. Staff are very nice, professional, and helpful. The food was great as well!!
The place was clean, games were working, and my grandson and I enjoyed playing on the north course.
Staff members are friendly and helpful. Yes the two big green doors may seem strange as the main entrance if you are visiting the first time.
Super great experience here! We mostly come for the golfing, but they have a diner inside along with tons of arcade games that people of all ages can enjoy! The golfing part has 2 entirely separate courses with 18 holes a piece. We always have a blast, but that may be because my friends are awesome. If you're ever in the area I'd definitely recommend hitting up Golfland!
first time here, we plumaged through the arcades, won some candy, big playing cards and a unicorn rubber ducky. we then continued and had a round of 18 holes. the holes were carefully thought through and a good level of challenge. on my first try i golfed a 51 on the north hole. will definitely go back and try to get a 36 or lower! thanks Golfland
Some of the games are quite dusty but my friends and I enjoy playing games and the snacks that they have at this Golfland location. Very friendly venue !
Fun place with 2 different 18-hole courses. Family friendly. Arcade and snack bar on site. Free parking. There is a water park, however I came here for the mini golf this time. They offer a discount for folks 55 and older. =)
Came here for daughter?s bday and totally easy way to spend time. Golfed & played in the arcade.
It was like stepping into a time warp back to the 1980s. The mini golf course was fun, but no real shade. The arcade was the only thing that felt updated with newer games, and a nice mix for different ages of kids. Avoid the food, it is overpriced and sub par.
They upgraded all the games to have the swipe card, but blatantly made it harder to actually get tickets with the games by altering them. There's a machine where on two separate visits have only given 5 tickets one time I won ?1000? and the other ?30? but only got 5. Really sad seeing this. Don't really think I'll be returning and that's sad because I grew up going to this place. Also the card machine says you can reload a card and gives you a new one every time. Such a waste.
Arcade, prizes, miniature golf, and dragons!!!! Love this place, especially on hot summer night when most of stores are closed.
We celebrated 2 of my son's birthday party there just last weekend. The price packages to play miniature golf and go on the waterslides is really reasonable. Everyone in attendance had a fun time.
The service for birthday party was not good. Food was late and kids were starving. We had to wait 15 mins for a pitcher of water for kids
Honestly my wife and I had the best early valentines night out enjoying a round of mini golf... 1st time without kids in a while and we were just so frieken thrilled to enjoy time together, to let loose and just laugh like when we were young! The holes were just perfect... just hard enough that we could laugh at each other's mess-ups while not being overly hard that we couldn't finish them. 18 holes was an hour and worked perfect as an after dinner activity! And I have to add, my wife DID NOT want to do min
Wonderful service and amazing location for birthday parties. The service of the staff is worth mentioning
Went here a few times with my kids. All of us loved it.
First time doing anything since COVID, it was fun we did the southside harder course side and there was never anyone near us not for about 100ft. we chose wisely. Masks are required, they drowned the clubs and balls in disinfect, and have the 6ft social distancing protocol in effect. The slides are obviously closed still, and thr tables and chairs are tied up to help keep people from disobeying. We had a blast, thanks for being open and letting us have a moment of normalcy. :)
Fun with many challenging shots. Some areas need updating and repair.
Took my niece and nephews to hang out in the arcade for a while and play some games, but it was lame. MOST of the games are out of order and the ones that were working cost way more than they should. Not really worth it to go here for the arcade anymore in my opinion. Not sure how their actual mini golf is these days but we might go back to check that out sometime. Definitely skip the arcade though
The place is fantastic for children, we organized a birthday party and the children had a great time. However, the sales representative gave us poor service - to put it mildly. He did not respond to our phone calls or the last confirmation email. I went to Golfland the day before the party to check that everything was fine, the staff confirmed the reservation and the details, but at the party the person at the counter had incorrect information on the food order. During the party, no one went to check the se
This Golfland seemed a little older... It was a Thursday. It was very empty during the day we went. Arcade was ok. Bathrooms were clean. French fries were made fresh and pretty tasty too. Golf time was typical round of golf.
Good times good prices fun but wish there was a little better lighting on the course
Great Father's day outing with the adorable 5 year old grandaughter, her daddy, and her uncle nay nay.. as we all witnessed an astonishing, unbelievable hole in one by the princess on the 18th hole and won a free round of golf
Great place to engage the kids over the weekend. This is also a place to consider for birthday gatherings for kids. The food is below average, else this place deserves 5 stars.
Standard mini golf with two courses. Everything works on the two courses, but I think the prices are higher than they should be. Arcade is over priced too. Water slides are working for the summer
My family always have lots of fun, is very safe, my husband and I drop off our teen ages and pick them up 3 hours later with no worries, the customer service is wonderful.
Great miniature golf course but need to update arcade. Great place just to hang out for a couple of hrs.
The place needs a bit of a touch up but it's good fun for all ages. Be careful it's not very disability friendly. Steep paths could be difficult for mobility challenged people. Freaking delicious blizzard like ice cream but last few times the machine was broken.
Even in the melting heat, we found shady spots between holes. Very clean well kept. Very fun. There were six of us.
The food was slow. There was no ice cream. The ball machine didn't work and the workers had attitude. I'd say the golf was fun but kids were running from hole to hole not waiting for others to finish. Definitely won't be coming back. Not as good as it used to be. The location off Jackson Road is much better.
Used to love this place when I went with family but turns out for a spontaneous date it's not the best place to go, they say they close at 10 yet won't let anyone in after 9! Maybe say you close at 9 and let people finish games till 10 then.
We had a lot of fun here. There was a little wait at the holes which we aren't used to but it wasn't a very long wait so it was okay. The course is in very good condition, at least on the side that we were on. The ball machine that they use is pretty cool for choosing your ball color... only most of the colors weren't working... you could end up with multiple people with the same color ball which may bother some people. Overall, it's mini golf so not too serious, right? We had tons of fun!
This is a great place to bring the entire family. There is definitely something for everyone. The mini golf and arcade are great fun (have not been to the water slides). However, It is extremely crowded during the weekends and that puts a bit of a damper on the fun. The food leaves much to be desired, but they have a great eating area where you can rest and watch all the other families play.
Had good fun ! The golf course numbers are printed in a confused way , otherwise nice place to play !
I purchased the 18 hole golf course and 1 hour of arcade at Golfland at a time. After rounding the golf course, I tried to use the arcade, but there was no time left on my card. When I complained to the employee, he said that the time on the card would decrease from the moment of purchase. But I did not hear any notice from the staff when purchasing the card. The manager also repeated the same saying that the employee noticed. I had never heard of it. There was no sign on the price board at check-in, I didn
I loved this place growing up but it has gone down hill. Not only have they gotten rid of most of the best arcade games, the ones that they do have are often broken or out of order. Months on end with no fix and options dwindling as more become disabled and unplayable. Not to mention they are often understaffed with 1 person left to run the prize center, golf window, AND the food area leading to long wait times due to 1 window being busier than the others. Get it together Golfland
Cheap fun. Great time. Golfland is great.
Nice place for a hangout. They obey and make you obey mask and social distancing rules. ????
Very nice workers and very quick! Love that this spot is super retro! Reminds me of spots I used to hit as a kid at the jersey shore (in a good way!)
My son & I always have good here! We played both 18 holes. Always very clean.
Such a fun time. It's all outdoors so you don't feel like you're being crowded like other placed I've been to. It's a pretty good price. For 18 holes of fun that took us roughly a little bit over an hour to complete it was $50 even (2 kids 2 adults).
Another San Jose hidden gem away from downtown. You cam play miniature golf, do the water slide or play in the arcade. Parents can sit on the lawn or tables while their kids have fun on the slides. You can get food, drinks, water and sunscreen. There is a seating area inside for you to eat or sit. There are plenty of lifeguards for the slide and the place is kept very clean and neat. The employees are friendly and pleasant to deal with. Pricing is very good and we have been there often. A very nice place to
Good for kids. We have had 2 birthday parties held at this place. I also saw families simply hanging out in this place. The golf courses are small but well designed, with about nearly 35 courts in total. They also have arcades
Fun place. Friendly staff and clean.
Parking was almost full and upon entering the fist time it was a little hard to figure out where to go. The food choices are extremely limited and nothing healthy is available. There were several machines out of order at the arcade as well. With that said, everyone (kids, parents and grandparents) had a great time golfing and playing games. Hopefully in a year or so both kids will be tall enough to enjoy the water slides. We'll keep coming on occasion for sure.
I re-lived my 90's here. Not many places can do such a thing. I'll definitely return and get the nachos again. Very fun day.
It was a lot of fun! The course was clean and well-maintained. I liked that it had a mix of difficult and easier holes. My kids range from 7- 13, so we need to have that mixture for everyone to have fun. I'll definitely take them back.
We had a good time overall. Mini golf was fun and well maintained. The arcade zone had too much wear and tear, and could definitely benefit from a refresh.
Great place to play miniature golf though it is sad that they cheat you out of playing the 18th hole. No other place that I've ever played has only 17 holes. They all let you try to win a free game AFTER the 18th hole. Other than that they keep the course in good condition and it has its challenges. We play here often.
The golf is actually ok, but my wife and toddler were both almost hit in the face a few times by gold balls because of unruly teenagers behind us. I reported it half way round but the team working there did nothing and it continued to happen all the way to the end. They were causing serious damage to some of the structures as well as putting other customers in danger. It's a shame as my kid enjoyed himself but if they aren't going to enforce any rules whatsoever it's really not safe to bring your kids he
Best mini golf place I've played at in a while. The greens where a combination of purple and blue and very well maintained. The water features were working and it was clear the place was well cared for. In addition this place also has water slides (which we didn't try) and a pretty decent arcade setup. Our only issue was that a couple of holes could have used better lighting, particularly the ones closest to the water slides, but it was an extremely enjoyable time all the same. I would highly recommend
I have lived Northern CA for a long time but have never come here until now. Such a fun place to bring the kids! Two golf courses, an arcade and 3 exciting (but not too scary) water slides. There was something for our entire family to enjoy! If you go to the snack bar, definitely get a huge milkshake, but skip the nachos (one star off for those - they were inedible) Good value for unlimited golf & slides for $20.
Their ice cream machine was broken, but the mini golf course is really cool and pretty fun, and while it was closed when I was there, maybe repairs, there's also like water slides so thats fun. There's also an arcade which was pretty cool.
I have visited Golfland twice and both times have been very fun. The first time was on a Wednesday which I highly reccomend. Even though it was summer and kids were not in school, our group was not rushed through the holes and we enjoyed our time. The second visit was not the same case, it was a Saturday evening and it was extremely busy which is to be expected. The course was fun but we did feel rushed through multiple holes because it was so busy. If you plan on visiting be sure to go during the week Mond
Parents were terrible and had no patience. I was with my friend and we were constantly getting our game Interrupted by parents and kids. The service was also terrible, staff were incredibly slow. It was as if they didn't know what they were doing.
Friendly neighborhood arcade and goldf place. We go there often for a run at super Mario.. Air hockey and other arcade games. Everything is managed through a game card and is pretty smooth. Not too crowded. One star less for their food place often running out of pizza!
Always fun but alotta inclines/declines.
The kid had lots of fun
Great place to chill and have fun activities.
Been here a lot over the last 20 years and they haven't changed much or even upgraded. Would like to see it upgraded a bit. Had a blast nonetheless. I did hit the hole in one on the last hole but it spit the ball out so that was a bummer
This is a decent place for some family fun but it seems the maintenance is a bit lacking and does not match the price. There were some not so friendly patrons there when we visited as well...not many employees around except for the kids running the register.
I only got to the 4th hole and I tripped and fell. The employee was so kind to me. When I told her what happened she refunded my money. I am so sorry Golfland. I didn't mean to fall. My name is Mary Omnes.
Very fun for the family
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
