Don't understand the hate on this shop, the ice cream is delicious!! They have original flavors, Cookie Monster, Strawberry Shortcake (with real cheesecake) as well as traditional flavors. The service was excellent. Highly recommend!

I went here once before and tried their ice cream, which was good. Wanted to try their hot dogs, specifically the Southern Dog. So I went at 7 PM Sunday and they would not serve me because they had already closed the kitchen, 30 minutes early. This was after visiting at 1:45 PM and finding that they don't open until 2. They were very good up until about the last year. They are always out of several ice cream flavors anytime that you go and the lack of offering has progressively gotten worse over the last year or so.

I got a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream from their food truck and it was really good. You can't go wrong with cookies and cream. Friendly service as well!

It's such a wonderful little ice cream spot! They even have little handheld retro games on each table to play while you eat! My ice cream was so good I ate the whole thing and I almost never finish my ice cream! My 5-year-old thought this place was so cool, she wants to come back asap!

This is technically a review for Golden Years' food truck, as I haven't had the chance to make it out to their storefront. The truck came to a neighborhood near me a few weeks ago, so I thought I'd try it out that way! The food was great and the staff was super helpful and friendly. They talked to us about the food, made recommendations and just gave great service all around. There were board games and video games to play as we waited. I had a Chicago dog, fries and a shake and it was delicious. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area again. There's several things on the menu I still want to try!

One of the best family restaurants in the area. The food and ice cream are amazing but what makes it stand out is the atmosphere. From the retro decor to all the board games you can play at your table, Golden Years is a unique and amazing family experience. To top it off, the service is super friendly as well. This place has a great selection of ice cream and a wonderful retro atmosphere. With the new management, comes the addition of a fresh cooked hot menu. The burger took a while to make, but no more time than a regular restaurant. I haven't tried everything, but the burger was amazing. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

Great little icecream parler with old rockabilly style and vintage items every where you look. Awesome tasting chili dogs I highly recommend you trying along with vanilla malt. Definitely glad to have old fashioned ice cream parlor in our neighborhood. Definitely can say it's treat coming here.

Very disappointing service tonight. My ice cream was fine but the girls working were very unprofessional. Laughing and cutting up with each other the entire time we were trying to order. One girl even literally slung ice cream on the wall because it was on her finger. I've been wanting to stop here since we moved to Hazel Green in March. So glad we finally stopped yesterday for an afternoon banana split. 36 flavors of ice cream to choose from! My mom and I couldn't even make a dent in the massive split they served us - but it was DELICIOUS!! The burgers and hot dogs all looked and smelled divine, too! This is my absolute favorite place to get some comfort food! The shakes and cones are delicious, the burgers are mouth watering good. The service has always been great, and the price is just right for the ammount of food and quality of food.

Recently we worked with Golden Years for thier Icecream truck to come to an event. It was a great experience all the way around !! Thier operation that day was seemless and I saw so many happy faces with those cold tasty treats on a hot day.

Love the atmosphere but showed up 2 and a half hours before closing (which is 8pm on a Sunday) with three young kiddos excited to eat there for dinner only to be told that they had closed the kitchen down early with the excuse that the girl that was working wasn't even supposed to be working because of the cold weather. Lost my business, and left me and the kids disappointed.

Our server Abby was on point. She was great and so was the food! This place is so cool. With it's step back in time theam, there is something cool to look at and talk about every where you look. Yes, you should check them out.

Not impressed wanted to take the kids there after school they were so excited to play games after ice cream and they were told only one game didn't work but none of the work but the Ms. Pacman. I was recently in there on a Friday night and ordered the Bama BBQ sandwich and the employee behind the counter said he was low on the bacon and decided to knock a dollar off my order. Although it's a simple menu (hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken fingers, etc) the food is good and the desserts are amazing. Put all of that in a fun atmosphere with prices that are hard to beat, and it's hard not to like this place.

I hate to complain because it's a really neat place, but when you have two kids working behind the counter and no other customers, 25 minutes is too long to wait on a hotdog. You wont get many repeating customers that way.

We visit Golden Years every year when we go strawberry picking. We always enjoy it. The service, food, and prices are great!

The service was slow, food was very mediocre, ice cream taste freezer burnt, and me and another woman stood at the counter for about 4 minutes waiting for maybe one of two girls to get unburied from their phones long enough to notice we were waiting for service. Unfortunately they did not and the other woman waiting with me finally went over to their table and asked for service. I will not be returning here.

Price for the sandwiches are a bit steep, but with everything else higher in price it is understandable. Great taste and the ice cream was so good!
