Boys this gem thanks to my observant son! Unique thrift store with a super cool arcade! We easily spent 3 hours here and for sure returning! Ask about party prices!

This place is so cool because the arcade has many options and the majority of the games are fully functional. My favorite thing about the arcade is that it is well-ventilated and cold. There are a lot of cool retro finds in the store and nice high-end items as well. This is a great place to hang out with friends or to have a cute date.

Simply amazing, highly recommend to all friends and family! Very cool retro design reminds me of Stranger Things. You pay a super affordable entrance fee at the front and enter the arcade where all the games are free play.

What a great time! I've been looking for an arcade game room for the longest time since my 6 year old got into arcade games. This place exceeded my expectations on every level. Wide variety of games, great hospitality, and you really can't beat the price. Very nostalgic place, gives you a 80?s/90?s vibe and brings out the kid in you. Customer service was top tier, and the owners are very friendly. Makes you feel comfortable and at home. What a throwback, definitely will be back.

This place is definitely adorable. I didnt know what to expect when someone else reviewed and said the same. But it is. It's nostalgic and a good time for all ages. There's an assortment of arcade games...pacman, Mario, mortal combat, street fighter, etc. All the games we grew up with and loved. Will definitely be back again soon!

Had a birthday party for my son. The staff was great, friendly, and very helpful. The kids had fun playing the indoor and outdoor games. I definitely recommend Gnarly Arcade for a birthday party or just to hang out.

Everything is highly overpriced from the games to the trinkets. The arcade is advertised as $6 for all day play but they'll charge you $7 instead. They'll charge you even more if you pay with a card. Half of the machines don't work. Some of the arcade cabinets are replicas that are placed in ways making 2 players on 1 machine impossible. Some machines are still on demo mode and some screens are in such a bad state making playing on those cabinets a headache. Do not spend your money here

The owners are so sweet and have such a good vibe to them. I definitely feel the nostalgia and welcoming energy that this place has! Loved this place. It is a small location but for a small fee you can play all you want. Perfect for date night or family night. Food was delicious! Outdoor area is fresh and has pool tables with no extra fee. Feels like going back in time. Super fun!

my two sons LOVED this spot! we went after trick or treating to chill and we were greeted by a friendly smile. the owner dressed as David s pumpkins from SNL (I think), they had TMNT! They have Street Fighter! my boys said the arcades there were better than Peter Piper and they want to go back! Also, they said the guy making hot dogs knows how to make good hot dogs ??. my only complaint is one of the guns in the arcade didn't work so we couldn't co-op. if they get a Simpsons console.. Very awesome place. Had a great time playing all the old arcade games. They have 2 pool tables, a ping pong table and air hockey table. They are unlimited and the entrance fee was only $6. They also have snacks and drink to enjoy. The lady that attended us was friendly and welcoming.

We recently hosted our Pre-Father's Day Celebration event at Gnarly Novelties & Arcade with RGV DADS, and it was a fantastic experience! Mr. Edgar Montoya and his family were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our event was a success. They provided a large fan for us in the outdoor area, covered the tables, and kept everything spotless with plenty of trash cans available. Fun place with lots to see and buy, especially retro and vintage clothes and tapes. A little crowded and the arcade wasn't open at the time but I'd like to go again.

It has so many fun games and a good variety of snacks to eat when u get hungry..they have old school games and consoles..the music is never boring always cheerful and good vibes?there's a pool table, ping pong table, and air hockey..I recommend coming here and it's very fair on the prices I come every Saturday

My 6 year old daughter and I went on a mother daughter date here by coincidence and had a great time! Totally awesome find. We were looking for a thrift store and found amazing Christmas gifts for many of the kids (and my husband lol) here. Went there for the first time last night and had a blast. Over 25 arcades to choose I ended up playing Simpsons pinball for a good 2 hrs. Place was clean and had a great vibe. Also had a patio area with pool and air hockey table. Nice place to chill at. Would recommend 10/10

Recently came to this place and I have to say it is worth the money! You can play arcade games, use the pool table, and even the ping pong table all night! It was nice being able to experience this place with my family. The lady who attended us was also very nice and attentive. I am definitely coming back again !

Best hidden arcade gem I have been to as of late. My kids love it here and owners are so humble and down to earth. Will definitely return. BTW they sell, buy and trade vintage and newer era video games and systems check them out!

OMG! this was a lot of fun ?? you pay to enter and can play as long and as many games as you want. They don't have a ton but enough to keep you entertained. BUT be prepared for your hand to hurt from pressing the buttons

It's an adorable place to go. It's incredibly clean and the machines are tended to, none broken. It was also really cheap, $7 per person all you can play which was awesome. They not only had an arcade but they had an outside area, which had air hockey, pool, and ping pong. Lots of variety, definitely going again.

This is such a cool place! Tons of fun games, including pin ball machines, pool, pac man, street fight, just to name a few. The owners were so nice and attentive. The food was tasty, especially the wings. The owner was saying they're planning on starting a karaoke night, so we're looking forward to that. Definitely recommend spending your Saturday night here!

The family that owned the place was extremely nice and it costs around $10 to play unlimited arcade games. If you grew up on classics like Pac Man and Galaga, or you just want to hang out for an hour or two, this is definitely the place to go.

The place was a blast from the past and really took me back to the good ol? days! My fianc? and I went there for a date night and it was absolutely so much fun! All the games work and there even serve snack which is a plus! They have billiard tables in their outside patio which was nice. We definitely had so much fun and was also very affordable. Awesome arcade! Recommend to go give it a try, my wife and I spent a few hours and the fee was only $6 per person for all day pass any game. We didn't try the food, but they have a menu of food and drinks. Customer service was top notch, very courteous and attentive staff.

When I entered the place, it looked really cool. It was my first time being in that place. The staff who attended me (who i believe it's the owner) welcomed me really nice. Inside looked retro. I felt as if I went back in time. Good jams and my favorite classic games. It is a place to be in your own world and to hangout with friends too! Now I know where to go if I'm ever bored at home. A bit small tho, but still liked it.

We had a great time celebrating my husband's birthday at Gnarly! He was so excited because they had all his favorite childhood video games! He was like a kid in a candy store! They have a wide variety of arcade games to choose from, pool tables, ping pong and more, there was something for everyone we invited! My husband made the comment when leaving " well you know where I will be on the weekends"! We are already planning on stopping by next weekend!

Hidden little gem on Closner in Edinburg. All you can play Arcades for a very affordable price. Took the kids here for a couple of hours and I myself ended up having a great time. Some of the games are very nostalgic! The owners are very nice and we will be coming back soon.

Honestly one of the few places I go to that always have a friendly owners that's engage with the customers and makes sure everyone is okay even in this heat, the store itself has many novelty games for you to play, pool tables and air hockey in the back, including being able to reserve that back area for cheap price. Wow just wow is all I can say. The owners are on top of their game! Almost every machine they had worked and played perfectly. I love the fact that we can play pool outside and have an area to nerd out and play some video games after a few drinks. You won't regret coming. 10/10 folks.

Great customer experience, great customer service. Serves food drinks and the hospitality is fantastic. Pool tables outside are pretty good and the classic game arcades are pretty good. Went with my friends recently and had a great time! Very cute novelties sold and the arcade machines were a ton of fun. The price was really good too compared to other places, it was only $6 to play all the machines as much as you wanted, you could even leave and come back throughout the day! Definitely going back again in the future :D

Business hours says open, but when I arrived with my son the place was closed, and the business phone went to voicemail. I dont know when this place will be open but it's definitely not open today, I came here in the afternoon and NOTHING. Good reminder to always CALL before making a trip and wasting fuel. This place is so cool! All the video games actually worked and the second the something went wrong the manager came right away. Plus the management were super sweet they game me and my friends free popcorn and water throughout the night.
