2nd disappointment in 2 years.. Terrible service! Ridiculously long wait! Cold food! This place drops the ball AGAIN!!! Extremely bad.. Hockey season has brought us back for round 2 at this establishment and it was worse than the first time!
Great service and food. Visited for a late lunch on a Saturday. Our server was amazing, he was super friendly and helpful. Ordered a salad and the chicken wild rice soup. The salad was chock full of all kinds of yummy ingredients. The soup was some of the best I've ever had, super thick and creamy with huge pieces of tender chicken. Long Island ice tea was delicious. Brought a pizza home to the family and they said it was great. Would definitely go back!
We worked with the catering and events side of things for a very special event, and honestly could not be happier with the venue or the food. It was perfect from start to finish, professional and beautifully displayed. We were able to get everything we asked for and the staff was super helpful. I highly recommend for your next special event. We will definitely be back.
Terrible experience. Again. I would like to start this with, it wasn't our waitress fault because their job is to follow the establishments rules. However our ?group? reserved this space a week in advance, not the same day. There was plenty of time to get enough staff set up to take care of everyone in a timely manner. However we show up and there is 1 person to take care of us, 4 people at the bar and maybe 30 other people in the restaurant. No one helped our waitress get things done in a timely manner an
Stopped for early Father's Day supper last night wife's ordered shrimp basket I ordered 10 in meat lovers youg gal waitress was good we waited little while for food wasn't busy at all wife's shrimp came she was eating waitress came said your just waiting on your meat lovers I said yes another 10 min wait by she comes back says gonna be awhile on your meat lovers they just rolling out the dough I said forget it she went double checked came back yea it will be 20in or so I said just forget it wife's already
Stopped just for the tasty Bloody Mary. Very tasty! The brown sugar glazed bacon was delicious! Cute bartenders also. ???? I arrived just in time, the big Bloody Marys go until 3pm.
Great time bowling and reasonable drink prices.
$25 for 9 yo to bowl for 1 hr. Couldnt order a slice of pizza, had to order whole pizza. Shoes were 2/3 and needed straight 3, so too tight. Lanes nice
Went for a kids bday party. Not sure what was worse, the fact the bartenders have no idea how to multi task and handle more the one customer. Or if it was the $9 side of fries my kid ordered... Wait I know it's the $6 ATM charge to get cash.. I assure you these are the same frozen fries everyone gets but apparently since it came out of gibbys kitchen they are truly golden French fries. This does explain how the owner can afford that beautiful new home, it's too bad he didn't opt for 1 less jacuzzi tub so no
When this few months of outdoor weather come, we always have Gibby?s in mind. We loved to eat outside when possible and their deck is our spot. Not full bar service (no Moscow Mules available) but still a wide variety of summery outdoor drinks. Food is the same as downstairs- great burgers and such along with pizza. The servers were hustling around - they did a great job too. Something special about curds and a Cow on tap while sitting outdoors.
Pull tabs at this location are a scam!!! We asked if all winners were reflected on the sign. The bartender said yes. We bought out a box that had $5000 left of winners. Scratching all tabs, we won just over $250. We went to the bartender and inquired why we had only won $250 when over $5000 was shown still on the sign. The first bartender told us that it was because they didn't have all the pulltabs out in the machine. The second bartender said it was because sometimes adults give the tabs to kids and winn
Ordered a Philly cheesesteak Received pulled pork in place of sliced beef. They have messed up multiple other orders. This will be the last time I order from them.
Good burgers and fries. Great service. Nice place. We will stop again.
I've been in New Richmond for 4 years and never went here. Looked at it online and the prices seemed way too high. Finally decided to take my daughter's here to go bowling and did a package deal where you get a pizza and pop in 2 hours of bowling. Saw a sign right away that said they were going to put 20% automatically on me because I picked up the package. (I really didn't like seeing that right away) The whole time we were there we didn't have an actual server or anything that would warrant forcing a 20%
My hubby and I were on an adventure to turtle lake casino whilst the Vikings game was playing. Of course we had to stop at a bar to watch half the game! We found Gibby?s Lanes and we're incredibly impressed. Gibbys had a beautiful bar, with a wonderful moose head. You must get the jerk and Cajun dry rub wings! The wings were tiny but the seasoning was great! The lanes looked super fun, we will have to go back to bowl. Lots of great Vikings fans in the bar. It was a lovely time!!
Great Biker Friendly Bar and Bowl located on 64 in New Richmond. The large parking lot is completely packed during big rides as this is a great stop with the capacity to accommodate large crowds.
Awesome atmosphere and great food. Staff is very friendly and the bowling lanes are well maintained. Lots of fun to be had for all ages. Delectable fish fry!
Visiting granddaughters from Arizona, chose this place for a fun evening. And it did not disappoint. The girls had a blast bowling, and the pizza was awesome. The staff also noticed my girlfriend fell, and without asking, brought her an ice bag, just in case. This place is now a MUST when we visit again!
Great atmosphere, great food, fun bowling, clean place. I am giving 3 stars because we seemed to get charged for refills on pop, which we didn't know ahead of time. Also, we paid .75 for a side of ranch, which they never gave with the meal. I didn't realize we had been charged for this until I got home. Music was fairly loud in the bar, pretty hard to hear each other. Other than that, food was very good, staff friendly when they came by. They were fairly busy when we were there so perhaps that was th
Food is pretty good. Awesome building!
Extremely polite people well established social croud proud to have been there ! Pizza is outstanding
Brought 4 boys to bowl for the afternoon. Purchased the family fun package for $69.99 2 hrs of bowling, pizza, pop. The lane jammed 3 times, additional time was added for the delay each time it jammed that they had to wait for staff. Staff was courteous and helpful. Upon check out my bill totaled $92.15. No additional purchases were made these were fees and gratuity; which should not have been automatically added as those was NOT a Birthday party. Unless they have a general policy of adding gratuity over a c
I stopped bowling here years ago because it was so overpriced. Decided to order food here because the other 2 restaurants in this town are getting old. $66 to feed two people. What's with the hidden charges? If you charge a delivery fee, you have to tell me that before hand. If you charge gratuity automatically, you have to tell me before hand, so I don't give an extra tip to your driver. Your food tastes like it came from the frozen food section at Walmart, and you microwaved it. Why are you charging so mu
The Food and Pizza was great. The Lanes on the approach were sticky just like glue and extremely dangerous. A friend of mine rents his knee came to a sudden stop because you can't slide up to the foul line. Which made the whole day of bowling not very fun at all. I would never bowl there unless those approaches are repaired or fixed to where a person can actually slide and release the ball properly. The best thing about it was the food
So sad, I had so hoped Gibby?s would have been a good restaurant as we need more in New Richmond. Terrible service . Treated like aliens when we sat at a table and waited for a server. Took a long long time for anyone to check in with us (they're busy with people at the bar). Ordered soups and meals, waited a long time and food came before soup. They missed one of our meal orders totally so he ate 15 after the rest of the party.
Service is so hit or miss. Bowling is fun when someone actually acknowledges your existence and sets you up. My husband and I went on Labor Day to go bowling and no one was at the bar or bowling counter. So we waited. The bartenders came back from behind the bowling alley at 6:18 and went right to work. We were patient, thinking they needed to catch up with customers/tabs. They made eye contact with us so they knew we were there. We waited 12 minutes for help. Both bartenders walked by us, helped new custom
Very nice environment good food and slot machines
After spending more than 300 dollars for bowling and the lane we where on kept breaking we didn't even get a free game will never return lane 12 save your money go somewhere else...
Ordered chicken to go Best chicken we've had in along time Very cordial staff and service Jerry Bostrom
I hate to leave a negative review and this place clearly doesn't address those (and that alone should speak for itself) but service today was absolutely horrible. Short story: got in at 130, ordered drinks and food and after watching everyone else around us come in and order, eat and leave, we finally got our food but they missed food for several people in our party. 2 hours in and after multiple servers asking if we needed anything and we explained that 3 people never got their food they finally deliver to
Had 12 people over and rented 4 lanes for 2 hours @ $25 an hour. Had drinks and pizzas only. There was no wait staff. We had to go and get our own drinks, place and pickup our own orders. There was no slide on lanes (sticky) and when asked if they would clean them for us, they stated that they do not clean them during summer. Charged 20% gratitudity for food/drinks and LANES FEES(?) and no service. Not doing that ever again.
Great place to bowl. They also have great pizza.
Honestly, if I could give negative stars I would. Went on a Thursday night at 8pm. The rooftop had 4 tables with customers with 2 waitress total of about 10 people. It took almost an hour for a chicken wrap and burger. Couldn't hardly get a refill on pops and our food was thrown in front of us without asking if we needed anything else. I had to go up to the bar and get napkins and silverware. The waitresses would stand at tables with people they obviously knew and have 20 minute conversations while ot
Sunday bloody mary special, service & main entrees were very good. Atmosphere also rocked!
The food was stunningly unremarkable. I ordered a burger. The meat had no flavor. The topping veggies were fresh. My tater tots were cooked in fresh oil. Would probably not order the burger again. Our waitress, Robin, was pleasant & paid attention to our table.
Food terrible nachos were stale pizza tasted worse then card board pizza no taste tasted like prego sauce pop is very over priced with no free refills very expensive McDonald's would have been cheaper and tasted better very disapointed. No wonder they were dead on a sat night.
More than just Bowling. Gibby's also has a large inside dinning as well as a large deck for outside eating when it warms up. We went there for the pizza special, however they have an extensive menu. Service was really good. Overall, great value.
Not only is it an entertaining and cozy place to be, but it also provides great food and drinks to go with it. Update! We came for their pizza because it's probably our favorite in the New Richmond Area.
Foods very good, nice lanes but the timed games is a total crock. Miss the days of paying per game. Seems to me if you buy food and it slows your games down they would want that not penalize you for it. Especially on a Monday midday. Employee decided not to charge extra after we had to get the lane turned back on 4 times and never did finish the third game. The policy doesn't seem right, maybe a weekday special would be appropriate.
There's not much in New Richmond for food. There's even less that's worth paying for. The food at this place did not meet the price. It's pretty basic stuff and even that was screwed up. Burger I got was drenched in caramelized onions to the point of absurdity and the only reason we really ordered from the place was the mini donuts. Guess what they forgot to deliver ...?? Yeah. So,we call back and they act upset they have to get us the donuts *they*forgot. We ordered from this place more than once( again ,
Food has always been phenomenal and I give it a 5 star all the way. The service on the other hand is terrible. Been here several times within the last two months and every time the service is terrible. Takes forever to even be acknowledged at a table, and once we finally track someone down, it takes another 10 minutes to get our drinks. Now tonight, we tried to order food for delivery at 9:20, and called 4 times with no answer. Called the bowling line and Angela told us they were cleaning and to call again
My husband and I used the Banquet room for our wedding reception. Everything was done extremely well! From Morgan, the event planner being super helpful to Jamie the owner always answering our questions right away! Food was fantastic as well as service and bartender servers as well. Many compliments from guests on how much fun they had. Thanks to the whole staff for the great memories that were made. We will be recommending Gibby's to friends and family!
We stopped in at 12pm on a Saturday afternoon after our nephew's football game. The bar and restaurant looked surprisingly slow for a weekend. It took the waitress at least 15 minutes to come over to our take our drink order. After she brought the drinks, she told us that her shift was over. It was another 30 minutes for the bartender to stop over and take our food order. Another two families that showed up after us had already ate and left before any of us had even gotten our appetizers! We were also told
Food and facilities are great. Good menu and everything is nice and clean. Would give five stars if they stopped charging for refills on fountain beverages and hired some more experienced staff. It seems as if someone is trying to save money, but efforts will likely lose them money in the long run.
On February 4th I called to reserve a table for 20 people for my daughter's 5th Birthday for March 5th as I didn't want to walk in with a large group and overwhelm the staff. The bartender was very helpful and thanked me for letting her know such a large group was coming in and I was told I was written down in their scheduling book. Fast forward to March 5th and I called ahead stating we were on our way and asked to start some pizza's as we would arrive in 15 minutes or so and had hungry kids. I was told th
The bowling was good and the kids enjoyed their time. We ordered pizza. The kids liked it, but I was not a huge fan. The toppings where under the cheese. That makes it unders, not toppings. I hate that. The pizza was also cut in squares. I don't eat pizza with a fork. So how do you grab a center piece without touching the cheese? You can't. My gripe is not about the bowling, it's clearly about their approach to pizza.
First time in doors at Gibbys. Nice experience, Randi was our server, Very pleasant. More than enough food for the fish fry special. Salad was fresh, fish fried well, not greasy. Enjoyed our visit.
Pizza was good, the bartender was friendly; BUT I will never go back. Why? Because our tab for 4 people was over $120. 2 hrs of bowling, 1 14 inch pizza, 2 pops, 4 beers and 1 Whiteclaw. Disappointed is an understatement. Then we found this deal after we left (see attached photo) They didn't even tell us about it. Again another HUGE disappointment. I will make sure to tell everyone I know about this place and the ripoff it is
The service was great! Food was delicious! We had kids meal chicken strips and fries, chicken drummies basket, buffalo chicken wrap with waffle fries and season sour cream, cheese curds and spicy bloody Marys. Everything was awesome, cheese curds were not beer battered like we are use to but still good. Must try place, we will be back! They had a Packers game day like going on. We have been back twice since our first visit. The kids pizza is delicious and plenty for a kid. Their fish and chips are amazing,
This place is fun but a bit pricey. The service is slow, too, but once you get through that part, it's fun. My biggest complaint is that you have to pay to play music! And it's not cheap either, like 2 dollars a song or more.
The facilities are nice, and price is good. You pay to bowl by the hour and the lanes automatically shut down when your time is up. We were able to add an extra half hour as we weren't done with our game when they shut off. They are set up for toddlers to adults to bowl. We didn't try the food, but it was recommended to us by several people. The only negative for us was the workers who didn't seem to know too much about what was going on. We went to Gibby's on a nice Saturday with a fairly large group incl
Awful service! Cashier shorted us our change and knew it! When we figured that out and went back to get the rest if it, he acknowledged that he did it (but was planning on keeping it as a tip) but no apology... Our lane (lane 8) was broken and wasted our time on the lane having to go back and forth, waiting in line, etc. My husband wrote down our orders (i wrote mine for him) and ordered for us as we bowled. My order came out wrong, so he took it back. A few minutes later, the cook came out and tried to arg
They were so responsive and organized in meeting our parties? needs. They were able to track our orders and gave Ilya an accurate final bill. The bowling balls and lanes were in great shape. The shoes were great quality. When one of our lanes broke, they were able to quickly fix it. They made us feel welcome too. Ps: You have to try the pizza with pb&j and jalape?os. It is an experience!
Luckily I love the staff however I should not be paying lane fees to bowl league when the Lanes do not work. It took us an hour over our normal bowling time tonight because we had so many lane problems. You must make enough money to NEVER be here.
Went for dinner tonight and it was busy! We put our patient hats on and tried to be gracious. We waited an hour and a half for our food and when it finally came it was no good. Everything was cold or no good. Understandable when busy but would have appreciated a word of apology from staff or management. We will think twice before returning.
We love this place for the great service, comfortable atmosphere, and tasty food. When you go, check out the great tap beers and fantastic boasted chicken. It doesnt suck that the bartenders are attentive, good looking and professional. Allegedly they have bowling too! ??
Alley is OK for non league bowlers. League bowlers be aware that the approach has ZERO slide and is a bit sticky even after putting on an S10 slide pad. Food was great, had a large pepperoni pizza... staff was friendly and helpful
I used to love coming here, first of all you guys need to update your hours, I understand that you can't change your hours online but at least make sure your phone number works so I can call before hand, went straight to dile tone and just to make sure it wasn't my phone service I had three other people call you guys and still the same. So I was like okay there line must be busy, drove 45 minutes there just to be told that the person working shut down all the lanes and that she called last shot my boyfriend
We had a group of people here last spring on the roof top patio. Beautiful view & a great server. Took a bit to get our food, but they were busy inside so we totally understood. Back this summer & once again, great service & the food was great!
We love bowling here with the grandkids!
Gibby's lanes is nice. They don't have many lanes but it's nicely set up with the sports bar and grill. The food is amazing. Their pizza is crispy and delicious. Their French fries are probably the best I've ever had! Great flavor and crunchy.
Had take out from here tonight on my way home from work. My crispy chicken was ok but my husband's well done burger was undercooked. ( My husband has to have well cooked meat due to his transplant so this is very dangerous) had to throw it away.** I did specify well done when I called in my order
The pizza was great, but everything else about our time there was sub-par. The service was mediocre at best, and my husband and I are generally quite easy to please. The waitress seemed too busy socializing with guests at the bar to check on us, waited until our drinks were empty before asking if we wanted more (which took nearly 5 minutes to get, and it was just a couple of fountain sodas) and didn't once ask us how our meal was. I don't ask for much, but when we're one of only 2 tables, I'd like a little
Great food and a nice bar.
Our sports team had our end of the season banquet at Gibby?s for the first time. The food was awesome, the banquet room set up with linens, lighting and available technology was first class. I appreciate the assistance with accommodating the details of the event (cake delivery etc) which were above and beyond the normal expectations! The workers were friendly and helpful, the event could not have been better, thank you Morgan and Gibby?s staff!
I ordered delivery from Gibby's and I will never order their food again! The nachos were $16 and consisted of a drop of cheese sauce and a few shreds of lettuce. No taco meat, just tons of tortilla chips. The club sandwich had outdated lettuce, which made the sandwich taste odd. The food was a major disappointment considering I spent $80 for two people!!! Very bad experience!!! I would give them zero stars, if allowed to do so
Love the pizza! I am a pizza connoisseur and this place is number 1 in town. Even better then Pete's pizza! Yes way better then Pete's ALL greasy pizzas! And you can do some midnight bowling if you wish! Also have a store and shop to buy or customize bowling balls! Awesome place with great staff.
Philly...um, yes please! One of the best I've had. And pizza, try the Gibby's special. It did not dissapoint... one of my absolute favorites. They have amazing and friendly staff, and the drinks are always good too!
Love all the food on the menu but hands down the BEST taco salads around! They are always full of FRESH ingredients, the meat had great flavor and they give you more then a scoop plus you can't go wrong with the handmade thin, crispy non greasy shells!
Not terrible but not great. The prices seemed a bit high for a smaller community, and the lane seemed to have some technological issues. Our bartender was average. She was nice, but appeared to be overwhelmed. I'll try it again, but it wasn't too bad for a first go.
We waited at least 10 minutes for the server to acknowlge we were there. Then when we had placed our order and had been there about 45 minutes. Another family had arrived 30 minutes after us, had gotten their food and was finished eating, they left and we still didn't have our food. My daughter had asked a 2-3 times about our food during this time. We weren't told how long it would be at all even though she a asked. The only thing they did when my daughter asked was to deduct $15 of the bill just before we l
Excellent Friday night fish fry, great pizza and burgers! Workers are always checking on you to make sure you have all you need. Atmosphere is great too with outside seating during the warmer months
Great small town bowling alley. It's always clean and well taken care of. It's great for a child's birthday as they have a small party room and great birthday packages. Pizza is great with a fantastic tasting sauce. Plus they have a great beer selection and great bloody marys..
Was there last month for an after wedding rehearsal party. We had pizza 5 pizzas, all 10" smalls. My buddy had to pay almost 100$ for those pizzas, that's absurd! I also don't see what all the hubbub is with the pizza It's not THAT good. Sure it beats Pete's pizza (ANYTHING BEATS THAT HOT GARBAGE) but domino's can make a better pizza than this place. Sorry Jamie but the pizza place in Star Prairie has you beat, no question. Service is okay, but my god! Hire more people and quit being so cheap! You're mak
Incredibly nice employees. Good specials, good tap selection, all reasonably priced.
We came across the river for some bowling last weekend. Plenty of parking, great bloody Mary, really good pizza and spotted cow on tap. The bar tenders were also very friendly.
Had a great time bowling. We were the last ones there today and we were treated with patience and grace! They were amazing! Great experience!
The bathrooms looked like a hurricane of human waste went through this place. Both male and female bathrooms were gross. The actual bowling alley was good. The bar was nice and the staff were friendly, they have cheap drinks.
Great place for drinks, good food, and a clean and friendly environment. The Chicken Parmesan Sandwich is FANTASTIC. Sunday football is A GREAT time, especially if you are a Packers fan. TV's everywhere and drink specials. Bowlers of all skill levels will love the state-of-the-art lanes.
As I sit here and watch what I believe to be a cross between a snail, a sloth and man pour me a Bloody Mary, I was able to complete my taxes AND go for my yearly dental checkup before the drinks were served. This place must be in some sort of inter-dimensional time wrap because I've never seen service so slow. Decent bloody tho.
The service provided was courteous and amiable, however, the quality of the food was not up to par and left much to be desired.
Beer selection and bar food was great. Service was spectacular! We had the wings and cheese curds. As well as a few local beers! Definitely go and check it out!
Food was good, waitress was great, surprised by processing fee for credit card. I know card fees are high but these are not 9.99 meals and $2 beers. Lessoned learned, heads up to others.
Wasn't busy and we were able to get a lane right away. Food was good!
We ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and bacon chicken ranch wrap and they were both very good. We ordered take out and everything we ordered extra was in there. Friendly staff too.
They stepped up their game from the last time I reviewed and so I went back and had a great experience. Thank you Gibbys for making the experience better. I would like to see a little more attentive service on the lanes, but it was busy and a Friday night so I understand why it took longer to get drinks and food. But definitely a better experience!
Stopped in for the Giant Bloody Mary on Father's Day. Bloody mix tasted great. Nice accessories of a cheese burger slider, candied bacon, pepper jack cheese, beef stick and a pickle. Can't beat it for $9.99 on Sunday's. Relaxing first level patio and the upper level patio offers great views.
Great atmosphere, great bar, great bowling. Owner is super cool! Definitely recommend for a fun afternoon / evening out bowling. Try the pizza and cheese curds while youre there, best in town!!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
