Gators Fun Factory

Gators Fun Factory

Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise the venue as a fun, family-friendly spot with nostalgic 90s vibes, friendly staff, and clean facilities. Many highlight the arcade games, skating, and overall atmosphere as highlights. However, several critical reviews cite poor management by unsupervised teenagers, broken AC leading to excessive heat, dirty floors, and malfunctioning machines. While most visitors rate it highly and plan to return, a significant minority report disappointing experiences with cleanliness, professionalism, and maintenance issues. The consensus is mixed but leans positive, with the majority enjoying the retro charm and activities despite some operational shortcomings.

Customer Reviews

Are you looking for a overall underwhelming birthday experience? Do you like to skate around on disgusting floors complete with band-aids and dried mystery liquids? Have you ever walked into an establishment and wished it was managed by two phone obsessed teenagers? Well this is the place for you! From the dirty tables and rink floors (mind you we were there at open for a reserved bday party), charging $4 for a pitcher of admitted tap water, to the game machines that have unfair ticket or item pay out plus

We spent a good amount of money for 30 minutes because the air conditioning was broken. It was hotter in there than it was outside. We tried playing some games but 3 different machines took my money and when I asked the kids apparently run it they just looked at me like I was interrupting them. Also the entire time we had a our grand babies out there they just blasted music about sex. Don't waste ur money. I'm so disappointed.

It's 2025. And the card machines don't work? Okay. Real convenient for people who use Apple Pay. The teenagers think they are grown running this place on their own??? I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The staff always takes amazing care of us! Went there for two December birthdays and they made our experience so memorable and pleasant!

Awesome little place for some 90's style rollerskating and games. Very happy the kids can play without mindlessly swiping a game card. Super friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Place is a needs to be cleaned top to bottom! Disgusting ???? and some adults to run it!!!

It's I nice place the music wasn't too loud like most Skating rink places & had a lot of different video games

Hidden gem! Bringing back the 90's! My 2 year old had a blast with the games. We will definitely be back!

It gets very hot out on the floor. I wish there were more fans or cooler air to begin with. The staff is great and the skates are clean but you have to bring your own roller blades if they are your preference. The kids have fun and it's a good place for family night.

Staff was extremely friendly. Big on the inside. Games were .50 a game and you win tickets and turn in for a prize. Bowling ally was small with 3 lanes, skating area was good. Lots of places to sit with tables. Music was good. We had a great time and will def go back!

Fun place! Friendly staff. Great building, activities.

It was really fun. Good atmosphere. We had my daughters 9th birthday here and all the kids had a blast.

Great fun & service! Just a little hot ?? I think the AC must have been acting up or something, because it was pretty toasty!

First time skating for my daughter! Fun for the entire family!

Really fun, lots to do, mgmt. Super nice staff too, good deal for the money

These guys have trainers for new skaters. They are theses things that are kinda like walkers for older folks that keep you from falling as you learn to skate. We never had these when we were kids.pretty cool.

It was super hot, they didnt have any pizza's for the party. Actually they didnt even know we had booked one .

Besides watching a girl take a spill and the ambulance showing up, it was fun. A little pricey but good place for the kids, my advice is bring your own skates!

I wouldn't even give them one star. Very unprofessional and unsafe place for kids. It's run by teenagers with no adult supervision.

Took my three year old and had fun. Just need more arcade games

I'm glad that Brownwood has something for kids, and famlies to do. It was a well maintained, clean, fun place.

This is awesome place to take your children. They also have after school daycare.

We had a blast roller skating and jamming out to music!!! Definitely got a great Playlist for sure

Always enjoy coming here for the grandkids parties!! Wonderful staff and its always clean

Had a lot of fun, and I let the kids skate and climb the rock wall

Awesome place, great customer service, nostalgic, and great atmosphere

Very fun staff has great communication and the rink is very fun

My kids love this place!

Fun friendly people clean building

Another fun day.. thanks

A great family place

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
