Not the place to bowl if you care about bowling. For a family or those who don't know how to bowl I'm sure it's fine. Tried to practice for league next year and given over oiled lanes and pins being knocked down when they were set. The owner and manager didn't refund me for subpar service and product. Definitely won't be spending any more money here and will be actively recommending other places.

Customer Service is seriously lacking! No acknowledgement when we got to the counter. We even had issues with the lane not resetting. That was ridiculous trying to get three guys behind the desk to decide which one was going to assist. We are avid bowlers, been to many alleys in the tri-state region and Canada - each having different pay structures for cosmic/light bowling... the evening entertainment here over priced! The pro shop is a joke as well - not too many customers in the shop at the time we

We have been bowling many times, but the last two times we went have led to tears from my kids who were excited to go bowling but were not able to due to various reasons. April 4th 2025 at 8:00 PM as league was finishing up we saw some families go to bowl, and they were allowed to bowl. One of the workers was complaining that they were busy and we would only have 45 minutes to bowl and without asking us if we could do that, shooed us away. We would have only bowled one game with our kids and could have easi

Competed in state bowling tournaments here a few times. The lanes are easy to find and kept up nicely. The pro shop staff are knowledgeable and very helpful as well. Love visiting this place.

Great lanes! Wasn't overly impressed with the front desk staff for the bowling alley. They seemed a bit confused when busy. The food from Fat Daddy's was excellent! The arcade games were great. Good selection and they were all working properly. Great place to spend an afternoon!

Awesome place went with the kids and grandkids was a great time

Fun atmosphere, great times bowling, well maintained lanes but spendy place to bring the family.

We had a great experience at the bowling alley. Great lanes, very well kept up. They were busy with a tournament and we were still able to sneak in for a game with the family. Dylan was especially helpful and made our experience enjoyable. We will be back!

My family had a blast bowling. The ages ranged from 2yrs old to 49 yrs old.

We were just there for a youth bowling tournament, all the staff were friendly and helpful even to the point of finding tape out of a locker to let my son use if needed. Thank you.

Fun place to have a birthday party for kids, great deal - food, bowling, party favors, set up and cleanup are all included- they have the option of adding arcade game cards too. The kids had a blast (and so did the adults!).

Took a bowling ball my husband had won at the state tournament to get drilled. The individual who did the work was very rude. Said he "couldn't believe they'd give away such worthless bowling balls" and that "he'd throw it away". Drilled it and didn't bother to ask if it felt OK or to try it out. Terrible attitude!

This bowling alley is really nice! It's huge! However, the wood lanes are very slick and the house balls are very oily. I had a hard time gripping the one that I used. Overall, it was just ok.

Clean,, quick service(in bar). Clean bowling alley good variety. The arcade is expensive but they have tickets for the kids to trade in, a golf and axe game as well for adults. Staff is friendly

We're here for the Garden Center Bowling Tournament. The people are great and friendly and it's clean! So nice to have a restaurant/sports bar Big Daddy?s inside with great food and service. We love coming back each year. Only issue is cost of hotels in the area even with supposed ? bowling rates?.

We are not from the area, so we took a chance on this bowling alley out of our Google search results and we would definitely recommend! Spent 4 hours with our 3 kids (8,8,4) and it was a blast. Everything was reasonably priced from the food to bowling to the arcade! The staff and service were kind, patient, polite, and attentive. 5 stars!

We had a ghoulish ?? time ??

Got here, music was trash. Not why it's a one star though?the workers didn't even look at me when taking to them, and the music was trash throughout the night. It might have been his own music. Not sure though. Also the workers were chowing down on some cheddar tomato soup. And of course I could see it while i was trying to bowl.

The bowling alley is great and I like it!

Nice bowling alley. Service was friendly. I did see a huge bag of mozzarella cheese sitting out (in reach of me on the counter) all day. Was very grossed out. Why wasn't it kept in fridge? They weren't using it everytime I walked by. Saw some bugs flying around it. Kid at food prep should have had the cheese put away. We did not order food from here for this reason.

Have been here at the bar before and service was great but we sat at a table this visit and the waitress was not very fast in getting our order or refilling drinks or getting us our bill. Got a wrap to eat and that was good but service was only so so.

Slow service, good thing I had an hour lunch, my steak was over cooked.. i had a talk with the GM and my plate was full again. Not a bad place to stay out of the cold and feel great leaving, knowing you had some good food and got to talk to a nice waitress ????

Bowled womens state. Lanes were tough but that can be normal. We still had fun. Our server argued with another that we were hers..didnt like to see that. Ate in the sports bar and service was ridiculous for the large number of staff on hand. Group of 8 and none of our food came out at same time. One entree delivered every 10-15min. My pizza took 1hr 20min as the rest of table had their tabs and were ready to leave. This definitely was a big breakdown in service.

Nice facility. $3.65 for a flat 16ounce fountain soda full of ice seems a little high. I'll go back but I won't be buying the soda again.

Great time bowling and having fun with my husband's coworkers. Would be nice if there had been 1 or 2 more servers in the bowling alley area, several in our group had to go into the bar to get their own drinks and order food.

Chad is awesome. I thank you for all that you did today 1/29/22 with my ball issue during tournaments. Words could never express my appreciation! Great place, highly recommended

Fun bowling center. They have added a lot of extras to do. It has turned into a fun zone type atmosphere

Great place to take your family for fun, food, games everything. The staff is amazing here, helpful never mean about anything.

CLOSED ON SUNDAY!!!!!! HOURS SAY OPEN SUNDAY 11AM-11PM. PLEASE UPDATE ASAP!!!! Drove an hour to go bowling here because it was the halfway point to meet with my nephew and for some reason never called to verify if they were open before i headed there. Well the rumors are actually true and Google can be wrong sometimes. Never been to this place during hours of operation so my review isn't one to decide if it is what you are looking for. Will update my review when I get a chance to actually enter the building

The staff and service was wonderful! A very nice bowling alley, with a lot of space for spectating. Fat Daddy's food selection looked great, the food we ordered was delicious

When I have the urge to bowl while in Alexandria, I roll to Garden Center Lanes. Fun times and cold beer are just what the doctor ordered.

Great environment. But they changed the old vintage bowling videos of the ball harassing the pins and thats a bummer. But otherwise not a bad way to spend an evening!

Food was bad cold had chicken crispy wrap wrap was hard chicken bacon cold no cup ranch tots were cold

Very organized for the amount of people that they had the restaurant part of them called fat Daddy's has some pretty good food and great portions the staff was friend friendly

Just bowled a tournament here the pin action didnt make sense kept having to ask for assistance because the machine couldn't count how many pins where actually left ,I threw 3 gudder balls and it only counted 1 of then the other 2 I had to ask for assistance to fix again, and The machine also kept knocking pins down. I asked for more help fixing the machines screw ups at this tournament then I've had to fix the last 2 years at my home bowling center.

Unaccommodating staff, website says they close at 1am but actually close at midnight. Games are a bit pricey, no good specials. Attached bar (fat daddys) is a good hang.

The food was good, the waitress was fabulous and everything was clean. We will be going back

Great place to spend an afternoon or night with friends/family I personally like it at night because they have night bowling were they turn out the lights and turn on the LED lights! Multiple colors, great food, and great music!!

Always a good time. Food is excellent. You'll never leave hungry ??

I don't know why you guys keep your bowing up until 1 in the morning, but not the actual arcade. You guys should close them at the same time. Just saying, this would make it better.

This place is amazing. The staff is friendly, and quick to your needs. Food is okay.

Very busy but well handled atmosphere the friendly staff and management made feel like everyone was welcome.. Like the old T.V series "CHEERS"...

Good food and service. A little noisy but not bad.

Fun times with my family and they were open on Thanksgiving.

Had a great time with family in the arcade but 3 games were broken and they were only serving pizza out of the bar and grill I was disappointed the kitchen was not open at 2 in the afternoon

Had a good experience. Only thing that bothered me was there was not enough waiters available on such a busy day.

They say there open online on Sundays. They're not. Bummer.

Kinda pricey but perfect for the nostalgia. Great place to hang out and score that 300

Cool place! Good food, lots of entertainment options, fun place!

Very clean LANES were on point. Helpful staff

Its slightly pricey but go with friends. It's so much fun.i believe they do offer Veterans discount.

Has a pretty cool arcade also right across from the cinema

Womens state bowling.. whole team got their food except me... all their fries were cold so finally after 20 minutes I asked the waitress if that was my food in the window and she said "yes try it if it's bad we can remake it" ... so sad to spend so much money to be disappointed.

Very spacious. Great pizza

Fun place to go bowling! I love it when they turn the lights down at night!

Love this place! Great bowling, good prices on drinks and food, service nice too

They did an excellent job. Great staff, very hard-working. Did an excellent job

Spent more time taking care of Pull Tab Customers, than dealing with customers interested in Food

Good food. Good lanes. Great service and staff.

Good arcade in what is a dying breed. Had a blast with my 8 year old and wasn't broke when we left.

Just had my kids birthday party and the staff was great.

Nice big bowling alley with attached event center and full service bar, restaurant, and arcade. Prices seem fair.

Wish they were open at least on the weekends year round! Open seasonally...

Nice bowling alley and great atmosphere in bar and lanes they also have great food at the bar

It was late so it was just us. Nice the whole place to ourselves!

Had great time with family! Pizza was insanely good!

Fun atmosphere, and pretty decent food.

Fun atmosphere, friendly staff and great food.

Good drinks and food. The servers are all nice, too!

Great place to hang out for an afternoon or evening.

Went there for state Bowling tournament. Lanes were bad, who oils the outside and not the middle!? Worst lanes I have ever bowled on!

Good Food, Great Bar Service- Dennis, Jimmy, Jessica, and Karla Rock!

Well kept lanes with an impressive arcade.

Had an awesome time and good pizza and service!

Well maintained, courteous staff, highly recommend

A nice bowling alley however prices can run a little high.

I went to meet up and bowl. My group wasn't there.

So much fun! Great for group gatherings

Fun! You can eat, drink, play games and bowl here

Great location, entertainment for kids, great food

Good food and nice atmosphere

Friendly staff, clean and nice to bowl here.

Good pizza good burgers. Nice bowling lines.

One very rude worker who would not cater to basic demands won't come back

Great place! Friendly and fast service!

Great atmosphere for the entire family!!

Lanes 11 and 12 gouged the bowling balls. Staff didn't care. One ball was less than six weeks old.

Has really knowledgeable staff to answer questions for even the bowler who's just starting out.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
