Positive reviews highlight the welcoming community, great food, and fun atmosphere, especially for parties. However, some criticize broken or overpriced games, unfair trading card practices, and occasional poor service. Customer Reviews

This place was super fun!! The boys have a great time.Well definitely be back. Definitely worth the price! The staff was superfriendly and helpful

We had a good time. The reason for the 4 rating is that quite a few things weren't working 2 of the 3 ski ball machines didn't work and the third one stopped while we're there. 2 of the 3 pinball machines were broken an quite a few of the arcade games were down. The air hockey table only kept score for one player. I took a group of 8 at 18 dollars each and spent another 60 on food .(pizza was very good)

Do not buy Star Wars Unlimited from this place. My daughter just bought me and her brother in law a pack a piece and they charged her $13 per pack. This is a blatant ripoff as those packs are selling for $6 on average from our more reputable gaming stores. This store is obviously trying to scam people not in the know.

Great local place to play some arcades and consoles. Huge selection of used games and consoles. The arcade area was fun. They have a big area for games like magic the gathering. The 2 workers we interacted with were very friendly and helpful.

I found an Xbox one S power cord here for my Xbox when everyone else local was out of stock. There are arcade games here to play and game systems to buy. Very friendly service and very knowledgeable on electronics. July 7 2022 - 12-8 Thursdays. I took my 2 granddaughters to GAMING ADVENTURES and took some pictures. This place is great! Great customer service! Very clean and the price is unbelievable! The girls played arcade games and console games of xbox 360 and wii. We picked out the game and they set it

I work for a arcade/game store in Cincinnati (Arcade Legacy) actually stopped in here just by chance on my way to a indie movie premier my girlfriend was a part of and I wanted to check out another locally own small business retro gaming shop/arcade (like arcade legacy), and to my surprise it was a very impressive store, the game selection was top notch and the employees were very helpful and kind, I asked if I could walk around the arcade to see what machines they had and they were nice enough to let me ch

Fun place. Def worth going back. Kiddos had a blast. Recommend to call ahead if going as a group so they can have concession manned properly! Every employee was patient and nice. Great community hang out. Arcade style games and also computer games as well as others

Fun place to bring the family to play games, plus it feeds the nerdy side of some of us! 5/5 would recommend, only downfall is I wish I would have come to this place sooner!

This place was cool when it first opened. The owner is very rude and condescending to his paying customer who simply asked a question. If you need help while he's sitting down then he acts like you are a inconvenience. There are quite a few games in the arcade that are "out of ordered" I used to love this place but they keep raising prices for packs ofcards and for playing the games. Not nearly a fun family place like it used to be. That's sad. I hope the owner gets his attitude in check because we will n

I used to really enjoy the store. My enthusiasm is waning, because the prices for cards (sealed product) is sky-high, and their rate for buying singles is dirt. I came in with an 80 dollar card and got offered 20. 25% value for singles is below the going rate by a long shot. It was a little insulting, and the employee seemed upset I wouldn't sell. I'll go there for sleeves in a pinch, but I doubt I'm going to continue buying sealed product from them. It's heartbreaking to see a local game store go down this

Cute place, great prices, really fun. Staff very helpful & friendly.

Went with some friends, what an amazing place! I had so much fun and you can't beat $15 for all day fun! I was very surprised at the amount of games they had! Soooo many retro games! Staff was super friendly! Would highly recommend going here! Can't wait until I can go again!

They apparently don't have a problem with open carry at their business. We were at a child's birthday party, and a regular (we were told) was walking around with a gun holster with a few guns and ammo exposed. I'm fine with exercising your right, but not at a place where there are a bunch of kids. My husband found a live round on the floor and took it to the front counter. The employee knew who it belonged to. If your business is unsafe, hire legit/responsible security that doesn't look unstable and loses t

Pretty nifty little place. Arcade games are definitely fun!

As soon as we walked through the door, staff was very unwelcoming. I paid for my kids to have an all day pass & he told me I had to stay seated at the tables and it was mandatory. This is not kid friendly if you're not able to keep an eye on your kids at all times. My youngest is 6. On top of that, my kid asked for a game change and overheard him saying to a coworker "those kids make me mad" all because my son wanted to play a different game, which we paid admission for. The whole experience was very uncomf

I could literally be here all day solely playing DDR ?????? but did good at the new ski one too. The all day cost is well worth the money and you can come and go with your receipt.

This place is awesome! The staff is super friendly every time we come in. There's something for everyone, old school stand up arcades, ping pong, air hockey and tons of console games and they even serve food that tastes good - try the pizza. Will be back!

Paid the $15 play all day fee... Its a shame most of the games did not work or did not work properly, in particular, one skee ball machine wouldn't reset the other didn't recognize points in some of the holes. Almost all of the pinball tables had flippers that wouldn't move. Guns on games with guns weren't recognized by the screen. This place could be amazing if they fixed their games.

Gaming adventure has a lot of potential, however I am not sure it's ready for primetime. We went to spend a couple hours of gaming on the arcade machines and sadly half of them were out of order or not fully working. I wish the owners the best in their adventure and hope this can be handled soon. Overall the business and facility was clean, with employees cleaning while we were there. Staff is friendly and helpful. The selection of games on the retail side is abundant.

Normally I have a been a repeat customer both playing arcade games with friends and family and the retail area. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming. On this particular exchange. I called to reserve a birthday party last minute because of the weather wouldn't permit a outside birthday party for my son. Normally they require a 48 hr notice to reserve the birthday party area but they squeezed me in last second which is a huge lifesaver. I cannot think of a time where I was greeted with such care

This place was fun! Trip down memory lane. Decent game selection, food was good! The staff was nice and accommodating of my kids. We will be back for sure.

Great, fun. We paid for a Birthday Party here. The pizza was better than I remember ever getting from Chuck E. Cheese. We added 2 more pizza's to our order, because we had more people show up. One of our guests is disabled and they accommodated his need.

We come here often with the kids. And I probably have the most fun. New and old arcade games, they have most game systems set up to play including ps5. They have pizza you can buy which is decent. Great selection of games and accessories to buy @ fair prices. Very knowledgeable staff. A staple and gem in Englewood

Great place! A few games were down, and some screens are a bit weak, but arcade section has great variety. Console area is awesome! Food counter has lots of options. Large tabletop gaming area and very nice storefront for retail. Birthday party space too! Had been a while since I had been there, and was happy to see it continuing to get better and better!

I had a birthday party party scheduled for my grandson and the day before received a phone call asking if we could come in 30 minutes before or 1pm time slot as they had booked another party for 1pm as well. The day before is NOT acceptable, especially trying to let people know of time change. It was made worse when I went to check out and was asked to pay for 12 extra people!! I filled out the guest sheet as requested and we had ONLY 3 extra people show up. The 12 others belonged to the 2nd party that was

Really amazing place for a trip down memory lane, the prices are reasonable and the food is good

This arcade is awesome! It has older and newer games. It also has card games and board games if video games aren't your thing. Very polite and helpful staff members. They're personal to the gamers and will become your friends fast. The food is excellent and is reasonably priced. The owners are friendly. Everything at this arcade is perfect! :D

Just had a birthday party with 10 boys (age 11). They had the best time. Great deal and unique birthday party. The pizza was great and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!!!

I didn't know this place existed or I'd been here sooner but I went today and I love all the older arcade cabinets they have and the owner is pretty cool. I highly recommend this place! Anybody that reads this Please support this place! We need more of these mom and pop type places! I will be returning as soon as possible..

I love gaming adventures. I go there all the time! To do all sorts of business and this window shopping and particular to go play at the arcades and what have you to eat at even. But I'll go there to sell games to trade games or just to buy games just for the heck of it because they got what I want when I go there to look for it you know and they've always got something new and every day it's amazing the turnover rate there is good and I'm glad that they're so nearby me too! But for others I would travel th

Good experience. Some games don't work in the arcade area but still okay overall. Took my son recently and we had a fun time. Customer service is great!

This is a real arcade. Pay and play unlimited. Not a win tickets for a prize but a real arcade. Kindly offered a tour before paying. Console games and card games for sale. Very nice and attentive staff. Not pushy when you just want to look. Food bar with fairly priced items. It looks like a regular store from the outside but it's a gem inside!

This place was really amazing, they had every level of gaming system and two different TVs and stations where you could play modern games. On top of that there was amazing arcade games that were genuinely super fun to play as well as being huge Nostalgia bombs. You had to turn over your ID to check out a game, but I consider that awesome. That's the only one of these that I have seen that wasn't also a bar between a very fun time playing Mario Kart is people we didn't know! They cultivate and great atmosphe

DO NOT BUY TRADING CARDS FROM THIS GUY. HE WILL RIP YOU OFF. No doubt doubles prices, especially when a hot set drops. Charged me 170.00 for a booster box that should of been 90.00 bucks. I wish I was a little more experienced in the market before I made any transactions. Also SELLS FAKE POKEMON CARDS. I spotted a few when I was there. Pointed them out and was told they weren't... they were no doubt. Looked like it came right out of a printer. Buyers be aware PLEASE ??

This place is awesome! Pay by the hour or a multi-hour discount. Great cheap family friendly place to go with the kids! There is a HUGE variety of old classic arcade games like donky kong to newer arcade games, ski ball, air hockey, ping pong, darts...too many to list. They have fresh food to order which really isn't bad at all and the staff is extremely accomodating and friendly. This is a hidden gem that should not be overlooked!! So glad that my family and I stopped in and will be back many times in the

I had my sons birthday party there last Saturday. It is a nice place, the staff is friendly, it is a clean/cared for establishment, they have a nice snack bar with reasonable prices, and there are a lot of games to choose from. There is something there for all ages to enjoy. I recommend trying this place out!

Its great. Its basically a game store connected to an arcade. The game store side has all manner of everything from the Nintendo 64 to the Nintendo switch and ps4. They also have set ups to play console games on the arcade side. Theres a kitchen that makes food when you order it. The music is from a jukebox, and usually classic rock, 90's rock/pop, and country. Its an all around cool place and the employees are nice too.

Edited from a previous 4-star review. The staff has always been great every time I've been in. Their store has really filled up with some nice stuff recently too. When they first opened I was worried they wouldn't survive but I'm glad they're doing as well as they seem to be. Great place to hang out!

Very friendly staff. I buy a lot of original Xbox games here. Most discs are in perfect order, the one time it wasn't they made it right with no hassle.

Wish I had known about this place sooner! We had our 9 year olds birthday party there and it was perfect! Plenty of games for he and his friends to play! The staff is super friendly and helpful with any questions you may have! We certainly look forward to coming back sometime!

We had a lot of fun. Service was great. It would have been even more awesome if all the games worked, but can't really complain for the price was really reasonable. We definitely will be returning.

Our son loves this place! $7 for one hour or $12 all day play - all free play (no coins to put in machines). They have new and old games - pretty much anything you want to play. The old school stuff like Donkey Kong, all the way to VR games. Great staff - very helpful!

Had Birthday party for 9 years olds!!! Was great experience for all who came!!! Pizza great an fun was had by all!! The staff was friendly an very accomindating an helpful to our party!! Will definitely be returning for playtime an purchases!!!!

It is so much better then englewood fun center, i had my birthday here and it was so much fun and most of video games i got from here. But dont have wii punchout so that is the only thing they need to improve with

This place is amazing! I live in this area and there is nothing to do around here! This place is great for all ages, it's uplifting, and it brings an excessive amount of fun! Also, it gives us something to do in the boring town of Englewood. Overall, good pricing, great games, and pure family entertainment is what this family-owned business has to offer.

A great little game store that sells magic the gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, video games both retro and modern, movies, and more. The other half is an arcade and they even serve hot food. Very kid friendly and an awesome staff. My only negative experience with them was when a rare, limited-edition warhammer 40k model was on sale. I had cash in-hand to buy it but was told that someone had called in and had them hold the model. So they agreed to hold it for an entire week for this person when I was ready to purchase

Called about events today was told commander was over and no other events today however on the wizards of the coast website a standard showdown was scheduled for 5:30? Called back to double check and verify the standard showdown then was told no one comes and it never fires. I have never been to this store and I may never due to the neglection of both employees. Me as a player and supporter of local game stores this is a very bad impression. I gladly challenge the owner/manager to train employees to encoura

Visited later on a SAT. fairly decent crowd but not bad. very friendly staff. nice snack bar. kids and i played arcade games, air hockey, skeeball, pinball, and ping pong, checked out store and movies. Had a great time and will definitely be back! Didnt break the bank either!

Horrible service from all but 2 employees. Very understaffed. There's always small children behind the counter up front and in the kitchen. Highly unprofessional. I do have to say Macey is probably the top notch employee she goes above and beyond for her customers. She is probably the best cook in the facility. I see her cleaning constantly when she's working. Aside from Macey's amazing business work ethic.... I don't recommend spending money on games that won't work and are overpriced to begin with.

This place is great!! A fantastic little hidden gem in Englewood!!!!! My boys love the fact that they can play pretty much any game they want on any gaming platform they choose. If you decide to play a game on one of their many platforms, they do require that you leave your ID at the front desk. If you want to play their PlayStation VR, you must be at least 12 years old and sign a waiver. My 9 year old was able to play as long as I signed. They DO have games that are rated M for mature. They won't allow you

The arcade is cool, but my major problem is they scam when it comes to trading cards whether they're buying or selling. Just recently the digimon trading card game gift box was released, I pick up a couple from our wal-mart for around $26 each, I called and asked if they had any and I was told they where selling them for $50 each which is almost double retail. Also they have to price every card you buy when you get them which could take up to 20 minutes in my experience. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhe

Awesome place. Pay a small fee and game all day. Great assortment of games.

$7 for an hour or $12 all day old skool to new!

It's pretty fun? Some of the arcade machines are not working? they have some console setups too and those are pretty nice?My friends and I have a great time with smash brothers? It's got a lot of classic arcades too and it's fun to play them for nostalgia? This place could be better if they had cheap tokens for the arcades and not the hourly fee? Thing is the arcade games lose their challenge with unlimited resets and that makes it less fun to use them? The retail section is awesome? I loved browsing old 36

Fantastic and amazing magical place where no matter what kind of gamer you are, table top RPG, console, handheld, TCG, CCG, classic arcade, family board game, ECT, you will find it here. The staff is real friendly and they have a snack bar. Whether you are looking an interesting date night, a fun day for the family, a weekly tournament, or your kid's next birthday party this is the place to be.

A retro sort of shop that feels homey in a way, over the years they have added more things for people to do and organized a bit. They even have an overhead speaker now to call orders from the kitchen for those days when it's really busy. There is still the issue of there being a lot of disorganization in some places though, if you don't mind some boxes and a other such things laying about sometimes then this is really just a good game shop that tries to help the community.

Rude staff & poor customer service. Half the arcade cabs are broken. Pizza was burnt to a crisp. On the retro video game store side. Everything is overpriced & dirty. And probably not tested. No returns or exchanges. A very below retro game store & arcade experience. I won't be returning.

My friend wanted to check this place out so I went along. The staff was friendly answering questions we had or getting some one who knew. We had some questions about the friday night magic tgc they are starting to do. We then went and did the arcade and had a blast with ddr and Mario cart. The place had lots of cool arcade games and consoles set up all unlimited play with just the price for entry. Had fun I'm glad my bro dragged me here.

It was my first time going and the staff was very friendly. He gave us a tour of the area inside. Its really nice an kid friendly, especially for anime lovers

Solid arcade with some nice retro options! A decent place to buy cards too

Friendly helpful staff, went in out of curiosity, looking for a few vintage games like galaga and battle zone and space invaders, they had about half the stuff i was looking for, and a pretty good selection of used equipment and used dvds. 8$ for a hour of play on their gaming consoles. The guys knew their stuff, and treated this geezer with respect and consideration.

Fantastic! Bring your children here! Do the all day (best value) or just play for an hour. They have a couple of pinball machines and vintage video games including Miss Pac-Man & other stand-up arcade games. You can play Minecraft on a big screen TV with your kids or dozens of other games. Use this to reward your kids for good job done or good grades. I would use it to bond with them...playing games on their level. Either way these are wonderful people and I had a great time with my grandkids here.

Treat yourself to a Gaming Adventure! This place has too much stuff to list! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent selection of vintage console games including several CIB Intellivision titles, CCG singles, board games, and a sweet arcade area featuring many classic arcade cabinets, skeeball, jukebox, and console stations! A definite must for every style of gamer!!

We love this place! Great vintage arcade games. Plenty of room for the kids to run around a play! They also host Birthday Parties!

Fun place for parties, cheap entry. Only complaint is some of their games arent unlocked like the others, but im sure you can ask for help if you need it. Food is affordable. Plenty of game systems. New and old

My family gathers together here on Friday nights...I was surprised at the diversity they offer! There are several game system games to buy, cds and vinyls, dvds and other various collector items, all of which would make good gifts for kids who are hard to buy for...I found a couple cds I never thought I would ever see! Some of us play in the magic tournament...I'm new to the game, so this is an excellent way to learn...And you can buy things related to the game, as well... Others of us play in the large

$11 for a corroded game? Wow. I got this Ghostbusters game for the Nintendo DS. And I open it to a corroded game chip. Oh, and to add salt to injury. It was originally $8 with a covered up sticker of $11 on top.

Great place to go with friends and hang out! Lots of games and gaming consoles, from old fashioned arcade games to the switch! They have lots of fun events too. I come here to get pokemon cards and games.

The owners are incredibly nice, and there's a monthly rotation on new game cabinets coming in. Always something fun to do. Very kid friendly, and me and my girlfriend have always had a blast.

Love this place, dozens of classic arcade games that are on free play to recapture A small piece of your childhood. Pizza and dozens video game consoles for kids. Playstation, Xbox, classic consoles. Truely a small business gem in Englewood. Well worth a visit, all at reasonable prices. Make the trip.

Awesome place to play cards at, the local crowd is a very welcoming group and staff members such as (keeping names private) S and D go out of their way to be kind and welcoming both giving feedback on cards and helping run the magic events, only game store with a cafeteria which is excellent food for the price and just a amazing area and hang out spot as a whole

Great store for product and magic, helpful friendly staff plus arcade games! It's really a gem!

We paid for an hour to play the arcade games and it was awesome. They have something for everyone here, from Games to Collectables, you're almost guaranteed to find anything you're into.

If you have any questions about anything, every person that works there seems to know a thousand details about whatever it is you are asking about. Affordable gaming, good food, lots of supplies for nerds.

Great place to hangout. Lots of games to play. There are a lot of activities to do like arcade games, card games and table top games. The food there is great and the staff are some of the friendliest people I have met.

Found this place on a wim and saw a game I wanted Final Fantasy 8 so I bought it...Yay. I get home and notice that it is actually Final Fantasy 9 which I also wanted so I'm like whatever. I go to play the game and get disc read error on my ps2, so i get my 1 same thing. Call a buddy to try it on his so im not going crazy, exact same thing on both systems. Now the kicker to this is they say that they test there games well I am calling complete bs. I looked at the disks of the game at the store, and they look

Best hangout in Englewood. Definitely filled a void in the town when they opened a few years back. Good prices on gaming supplies and a great arcade and gaming area for tabletop or console games.

Excellent concept. The staff is very friendly. I had not been here for a couple of years, and I was really impressed by how much larger their tabletop gaming selection was.

I take my boys here with their friends. This place has everything a gamer could want. They have everything from classics to new games. If you're more into it they have board games, ping pong, air hockey and so much more.

I attend my first Northmont Chamber of commerce women in Business event here and was really fun and chill atmosphere. The Pizza was delicious and the staff were very professional

Awesome place, tucked away in Englewood. So many cabinets and consoles. Huge MtG area. I hear the food is good, too. Awesome retail area, as well, with games and gaming supplies. Love it!

Nice concept however leaves something to be desired. Poor customer service. We were treated very rudely. Focus on customer service and perhaps you'll pull in more business and gain repeat customers. We will be going elsewhere.

Took my kids here today and really enjoyed it. They gave us a tour before we got started and the kids had a great time. We'll be back.

Great place to bring the whole family. Retro games to online play, I always have a great time. Good pizza and play deals as well.

Staff were rude and unwelcoming. Came from far away to only leave after a few minutes due to staff. Don't waste your time or gas.

I loved Gaming Adventures! It was super fun and I'll be going there often. They have awesome games, and a snack bar! 5/5 would recommend.

This place is awesome ! Me and my family visited here today and we were very impressed with the cleanliness, the customer service , and most of all the quality of the food which shocked me the most as it was delicious ?? We will definitely visit again , even if it is just for lunch ??

A lot of great games, older hard to find arcade games. Ya pay by the hour rather that each individual game. Theirs also a video game store here. A lot of family fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
