Games on the pier is a stellar experience that has improved the experience from the previous owners. The new owners and their staff are super friendly and care about the arcade and those who enjoy it. They utilize a card system that is easy to use that eliminates the hassle of coins or tokens and I can reload it time after time! Each year has been a new experience with games from across time and around the world. This year axe throwing was added and it is amazing and I recommend you check it out! Also there
Arcade is an amazing experience. It's very clean and bright. Has a great atmosphere with many amazing games! I love the walking dead and flamin finger! The card system is a breath of fresh air. It's a great family friendly spot to go when you're up in Laconia!
Fun and wonderful experience and will definitely be back again. Great selection of old and new games. My favorite was the Walking Dead game, highly recommended. You get your own card to swipe to play games, easy to load and use. No need to fumble with coins and tickets. Met the new owners and they all were extremely friendly and enhanced the experience.
I love this arcade. Very friendly and the counter staff are great. They are always improving their game selection. It is a small mom and pop arcade and they care that you have a great time while you are there. Always willing to help my 5 year old find something fun for his prizes and patient when he takes a long time choosing.
I recently visited Games on the Pier in Laconia, and it was an absolute blast! The variety of games was fantastic, with something fun for everyone, from classic arcade games to challenging skill-based activities. What really stood out to me was how clean and well-maintained the entire venue was. It's clear that the staff takes great pride in keeping the place spotless, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The employees were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were always on hand to help with
Stepping into Games On The Pier at Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire, was like opening a cherished time capsule from my youth. Nestled along the serene lakeside, this arcade is a delightful blend of classic charm and modern entertainment that captivated both me and my family. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the familiar sounds of vintage arcade game and pinball machines, instantly transporting me back to summers spent chasing high scores and collecting tickets. Sharing these beloved games with
I visit a lot of arcades and I think this is the only arcade in New England that passes along the CC fees to their customers? Normally I don't get upset over little things like new card fees, but when you combine that fee with the price of the arcade games (which was on the more expensive side) and no card bonuses (until spending $50), it kind of puts a damper on the whole experience?
I absolutely love this arcade! This was my son?s first arcade experience and he thoroughly enjoyed both the classic and new games they have. Really electric environment and great family experience!
Games on the pier is an amusement arcade it is really amazing for the amount of room they have in that place, so many amazing games and things to do. 100% definitely going back next year!
It's clean, bright, and colorful. There are even games on the ceiling! It is always a treat to go to this arcade. The staff are helpful and kind. That and they have the best prizes!
What an awesome place to remininse your childhood! Variety of games and hours of fun with my friends before or after visiting Weirs Beach :) All staff members were so kind, helpful and patient helping to choose game prizes. Can't wait to visit again :)
Perfect little arcade for a break from the heat with fun older games and new additions like axe throwing. Recommend a stop if you're in the area.
This is not the same arcade that used to be here that was sad and empty the past few years. These are new owners with some new games. It uses a card system (that you can put money on) instead of quarters. It looks way better than it was before. I wish the new owners luck.
Great selection of both new and old games. They also use a card system instead of coins which is nice.
Great place, skee ball!
Sad to say- don't waste your time. The games are overpriced and the counter staff is so rude!
Great selection of games! Always a good time!
Great spot to visit with the kids!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
