GamePlay

Reviews Summary

This arcade offers a niche selection of Japanese rhythm games (DDR, Jubeat, etc.), which enthusiasts praise as rare and well-maintained. However, many machines, especially ticket-based ones, are often broken or out of order, with poor maintenance and sparse staff. The location is small, in a dead mall, and prizes are frequently unavailable. While rhythm game fans love it, others find it disappointing due to malfunctioning equipment and lack of attention. Mixed experiences with staff—sometimes helpful, often absent. Best for dedicated rhythm gamers, less so for traditional arcade-goers.

Customer Reviews

It's pretty small and if you're looking for a traditional arcade then this isn't for you, but if you love rhythm games and want a place to play in peace and quiet, it's heaven. The WACCA machine still has all the old songs from before the server shutdown, and my Aime pass card actually worked. The mall is totally dead but I hope this place sticks around forever if only for the sheer joy it brought me today.

You can't expect much out of a dead mall arcade- and you can't expect even that out of this one. Having tried it off and on for a couple of years now, I've never seen a machine be fixed, and now even the ticket dispensing games all list as OUT of tickets. That's not even a repair issue, that's just refilling! BUT take heart, customers! You'll be delighted to know that the owner has put in a NEW change machine! Which gives THREE tokens per dollar when many machines are set to 4 per play! Never mind that more

Been there a few times with my kids. Sometimes the games work and sometimes half the games are not working. Yes, you get tickets but most of the time, the place where you return your tickets is closed. It also is two stores over and yet I still return. I want the place to get better and I write these reviews in hopes somebody will improve it.

Unattended by employees, this could be a pro or a con depending on what you're looking for but I enjoyed the privacy. There are two working dance machines and they play loud. The prizes are in a separate shop that was closed though, so be sure to play for the experience and not for the tickets.

An incongruous juxtaposition of niche Japanese games like Beatmania and Sound Voltex tucked away in a sea of Chuck E Cheese style games of chance in varying levels of disrepair. Staff is friendly enough, albeit seemingly thin spread operating a bounce house room and rental service in the next unit over. They will gladly refund tokens eaten by derelict machines, but after going next door to bug them 3 or 4 times in an afternoon, the idea of just walking away from the whole thing becomes increasingly appealin

Fantastic arcade with a wide selection of rhythm games, it is a gold mine for fans of the genre.

It's not that big but provided a space to play games. There was no one there so when the machine wasn't properly we had no one to go to. We left and came back and finally got someone from the bounce place next door to assist. He was friendly and helpful.

Busted arcade. They have a ddr style game and a bootleg mame cabinet. Had mvc2 but it's broken so no reason to go here.

Small local arcade with a decent selection of bemani rhythm games. Could do with some better lighting than the sort of dreary fluorescents but the machines there are in relatively good condition and definitely worth checking out.

Seems most of the games are rigged, but even so... its geared more towards 12 and under. It's ok. Staff was nice. It was generally clean. Good place to take the kids

One of the few arcades in the area. A bit small, but has a fair selection of rhythm and music games, as well as a smaller assortment of other miscellaneous arcade cabinets and machines.

Had a great time playing uncommon rhythm games. If you enjoy ITG2, DDR, Jubeat, or Pop'n Music- this small place has them all.

We go every week! This arcade is a gem for rhythm game fans! There is also a Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Simpsons arcade!

A step above arcades like Time Out Zone in Gaithersburg, but clearly not to the standard of Round1 (coming to Towson in 2019) and even Dave & Busters, with the rhythm games the highlight.

The day I went. 1/3 of the games were out of order and I couldn't find anyone to assist me when I didn't receive my tickets.

I was excited to see that this little mall arcade has the newest release of DDR and other Bemani games.

great place for little kids and an awesome selection of Japanese rythem games that are hard to find , if you are nearby definitely stop by to try one out

Great rhythm game collection and the staff is friendly

It has a DDR machine that has Jpop and anime themes will come play as often as possible

This place is the worst arcade I have ever been too 80 % of the machines do not work and the stacker game ate 5 dollars of mine contacted the owners witch is vary hard to do and he said to bad will never becoming back and do not advise people to go in the first place

I haven't been in a bit but last I went there, there wasn't many games and half or almost half we're out of order.

Can't believe they had jubeat... I kinda wish that they were closer to where I live... It was a long trip.

Games rigged and no one there to collect tickets.

A little bit of everything. Basketball, Air Hockey, redemption, driving games.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
