If you like retro video games or pinball, and you feel like getting a drink then this is a great little spot. It's a bit out of the way, but it's got a bunch of things around it that bump it up some extra levels. There are bars, restaurants, and stores in the same building that make the whole experience more robust. Overall, it's worth a go if you're in the mood for some public gaming.
Perfect hangout with old school video games and plenty of newer pinball machines, as well as some of the very best pins from the 90s. Great time, got lost in the pinball machines, this place is a gem, I look forward to coming back when I'm in the area.
An oasis of retro energy and pixel-powered delight, this is. Two floors. Over 100 arcade and pinball games. From classics that test your reflexes to flipper battles worthy of the Jedi Council, this spot is a full-on multiplayer paradise. ?? Most games ranged from 1?4 tokens, with the majority of pinball machines clocking in at just 2?3 tokens per play. Each game is clearly marked with the amount of tokens needed. I picked up the Sack for $10 (40 tokens) and gamed for nearly an hour and a half ? not bad fo
It's always a blast here. A lot of arcade cabinets across 2 floors and even a couple consoles to play on. The drinks are also a highlight, they're super creative and reference various video games or even shows/movies. Every time I've been here the service has been phenomenal as well, the bartenders have been super cool. Grar atmosphere as well, the place is adorned in all kinds of gaming or pop culture memorabilia. And while I would prefer paying a door fee, the towns are reasonably priced. Definitely the m
Always a good time! They have a great assortment of pinball games and old time arcade games. Good bar service. They don't serve good but there are take out restaurants in the same building.
I cant believe i live in CT and never been here! Walking in was like a time warp! Felt like I was back in high-school with DDR and the drink selections were on point????
Have been coming here for a while now and really liked it but they just did a big expansion and wow it really blew me away. So well done. Place is great. Probably the best arcade I have ever been to! All the hottest new pins and great retro pins and arcades!
Seriously amazing. Been going here for a while, and with the massive addition off the second floor, its easily the best barcade in CT. Extremely fair prices for everything (Can get a soda for 3 bucks, coins for 5, etc). Staff is super friendly, and being in the factory square means more attractions all around. Only thing It really needs is a basketball style game! Great work to all the staff! Must try spot.
This place wasn't for me. Background: I was looking for a date for my husband and I in the Southington area, and this popped up on my radar. My husband and I both are gamers, and have gone to other arcade dates before. We were also interested in the event that proceeds went to the Meriden Humane Society. Experience: Upon arriving, there was a sign at the door which said to wait upon entrance to have your IDs checked. After waiting a few minutes, I walked up to the bar, showing my ID, and asked if we were
good place to go and hang with your friends gets pretty busy on weekends so we've had to wait to use some of the games but it's more chill during the weekday! the themed drinks were good, and i like the variety of games there though the place does have a lot of pinball machines.
Great staff, atmosphere, bar and game selection we definitely had a great night.
Awesome barcade! I love coming here with my friends. For years I always wished there was an actual arcade near where I lived, and this place most definitely surpasses my expectations on so many levels. Have fun! :D
This is something special, brings me back to my childhood. I love it, this was my first time here, I was invited and I am from out of state and this really made my evening. This is a true gem. I look forward to coming back. This place is got a good theme, good customer service, a lot of classic video games, a good variety of pinball games. The place is clean, the bartender she was friendly.
Great selection of different beers and classic arcade games. I might be telling my age, but this brings me back to middle school in high school years. It's nice to play a game, and it does not cost 4 dollars per play. Most of of of the games are .25 or 50 cents . Again, a great selection of beers and classic arcade games. Not for everyone, but a fun place to come out, have a beer, and play a few games.
4.99 stars because Arkanoid ate 2 of my tokens, just like the good old days. Lol This was my second visit, first since they added the second floor. I could explain the whole place, but you simply have to visit to understand it. Its very unique. The pricing is incredible! I don't drink, so I may not be their target customer lol. I bought the $45/200 token deal for my wife and I. We left with a ton of tokens after over an hour of play. I'll drop my review to 4.8 stars because they don't have time crisis.
Retro arcade mixed with old and new pinball machines in a relaxed setting. Two floors of games and the pinball machines are less expensive than most other locations. Overall terrific vibe and CT good more destinations like Gamecraft.
Gamecraft is my new favorite place!! We were in the area for something else and we were looking for things to do. My boyfriend saw this place on Google and we figured we would give it a try. He had a blast? and to be honest so did I! This place had so many options of games to play. I grew up on Mario kart, super Mario party, and guitar hero but it was really cool to see all the vintage machines. We had a blast playing mortal kombat, Tetris, super Mario world, donkey Kong, frogger, skee ball and astroids. Th
Great drinks, cool atmosphere, only downside is there arent enough ?modern games? so those tend to get most of the crowd and you dont get a chance to play. Great date night spot!
Very Cool Place! The Staff are amazing and helpful. I actually went here by mistake. Never know it Ex sister but ate around the corner and was like ?what's that? *No Food* Pinball machines! ???????????? Arcade games & lots of fun. At the bar they have PS4 & XBox which you can play for free. You get a lot of gaming in for $5? $10 may be too much but you never know. Some of the arcade games have sticky buttons and there are only but so many time so many times you can play the same games but it's lots of fu
Tried this place out Friday, only to come back Saturday night as well, that's how much fun it is?? Pinball Heaven at its finest?? Be sure to bring your physical ID with you though; they always ID ??
First gaming bar i have been to! I love the old school games mixed with newer games like a new take on the classic Pong game. Also love that you can order food and it comes to you in the bar. Great experience and quite tasty food! I had the Thai Chicken Wrap. Chicken was fresh and paired nicely with the rice and spices. The wrap was also pretty big. I think the price should have been a bit lower for the ingredients used but still a great wrap. Only issue i encountered was that a party reserved all of the
Amazing place to stop by on a weekend! TONS of fun games to play and a huge area for snacking and socializing. The drink menu and token game play is absolutely spectacular
5 stars all the way. Newest and best pins and nice selection of vintage arcades. Glad it's 21 plus most of time but they are courteous to let kids in accompanied at certain times. Game prices are fair and reasonable. Perfect stop for my commute from NY to Boston.
Great place to spend a weekend there to play some retro games. Not only do they have all kind of pinball machines, but a option to play the Switch. I cannot wait to see their new floor soon!
So many games ! 2 floors ! And so many fun drinks to choose from !
Awesome spot! Great friendly service and an awesome selection of pinball machines and beer. My favorite part was playing Nintendo while sitting at the bar! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in southington.
Step into the 90's with Gamecrafts amazing selection os standup arcade games, or sitdown consoles. Gamecube, NES, SEGA, and good beer. Something for every gamehead here. Pay a very reasonable price for tokens and play to your hearts content!
One of my new favorite places! The featured drinks are amazing, up to date pin ball machines (Rick and Morty one is hilarious) and such a great atmosphere overall.
Walked in and sat at the bar, one employee in front of us. Never addressed us and moved to the other side of the bar to help the only other couple at the bar. Was there for 15 min with out being served, while watching the bartender text on his phone. They finally addressed us as we got up to leave.
Awesome place!!! Excellent machines super well-maintained. This is one of the best in Connecticut. A+++
Amazing selection of pinball and retro arcade machines. Amazing craft beer selection and cocktail menu. Prices aren't cheap, but they are fair. They don't serve food, but you can BYOF or delivery in food. Can't say enough good things about this place. Welcoming space for all people (LGBTQ+, queer, gay safe space).
Awesome Selection of pinballs and Retro Games! Fair Pricing! Great Drink Selection! Staff was quick and friendly!
I've been going here quite often for years, and never once has this place felt dangerous, cold, uninviting or cramped. The folks here are from all walks of life, ages, backgrounds and cultures. Unlike some other troubling watering holes in town, the crowd here is just looking for a quaint place to hang their hat and meet some new friends. Enjoy their many modern and classic pinball machines, partake in weekly and monthly tournaments and leagues, play all sorts of arcade games, sit at the bar and watch a mo
Had a great time here for my wife's birthday with our oldest daughter.
Decent place with a small collection of retro arcade games, as well as a fairly robust pinball collection. The pinball tables were mostly modern Stern machines, but there were about a half-dozen older tables from the 90s era. Token prices are very reasonable. We were there during a pinball tournament so most of the tables were occupied a lot of the time, but they didn't use a bunch each round so we were still able to get some games in.
Best place to get your pinball fix and have a great craft beer. Friendly staff and machines are very well maintained. Plenty of top games to play. Added a couple pics but they have more :)
Great time. Great drinks. Just crushed. Want to go back on a slow night if they coukd have one ?? ?? ?? it was a great time
Great beer and cocktail selection and love sitting at the bar to just play a console game with others. There are a ton of pinball machines (not a fan) and a decent, but not great, selection of arcade cabinets. Lots of retro games, all fun and a blast from the past to play. Being able to order food from a shop in that building that will deliver to you in the arcade boosts this to 5 stars!
Fun! 21+ Craft brews, tiki drinks, arcade ??. On Sunday you can bring your kids and kick their a$$ in your favorite vintage game ????
GameCraft Arcade is definitely THE most fun place in town, the whole family loves coming here!! UPDATE MAY 2025- They now have a huge upper floor open, with an additional bar area and bathrooms!!! I thought GameCraft couldn't get any better, but now it has!! A+++++
Came back to say same lady was here. Extremely rude .. targeted our friend who wasn't even drinking.... we all have been here before and we're aware of the age restrictions. She didnt even ask our friend just kept pointing at her. Worst customer sevice ever....if it wasn't a friend's birthday we would have left. Previous review: Fun games, good prices, girl at the counter was extremely rude, but she could've just been having a bad day......
It's my most favorite place to go! Everybody is kind, drinks are nice and you find so many different games to play!
Great place for vintage video games & craft beer. Very reasonably priced as well. Outside food allowed. Only con is venue is on the smaller side.
My boyfriend and I try to come at least every week or every other weekend. We mostly play the pinball machines, and they always have a great selection! One of the best places for pinball :) Great place to meet other pinball fans/nerds! Awesome staff, music, drinks and games!
This place has a very fun atmosphere, it's always lively on weekends. They also run events like trivia and pinball tournaments. I came because of a recent pinball obsession, and this place always has the new offings from Stern. The location is great too, as it's surrounded by other places which leads to a great night out.
Pretty cool arcade bar. Has a great atmosphere and a decent selection of arcade machines. A lot of them are pinball ones though, so just be advised if you're not into that. Personally, I wasn't a fan of their themed cocktails, and drinks were pretty pricey overall, but the tokens are fairly cheap.
This place is great! Everyone there ,staff AND customers are always super friendly . Couldn't pick a better place to go if you're the designated driver for the evening, on account of when your friends start rambling on inebriatedly about opening a restaurant... you can distract them with arcade games! And last but not least, the Wednesday night trivia is the best .... Geeked Trivia is the shiznit. It's FREE to play, AND you can win generous prizes to gamecraft! It's a win-win.
Very cool place! Plenty of pinball machines, retro arcade games (Ms. Pacman, Guitar Hero) and even a Skee-ball machine! Good selection of beers and a full bar, which most brewery type places don't have! Many restaurants in the area for take out and some even deliver! Once they get this little baby up and running...I may just move in! :-)
Very fun place with great beers on tap! A bunch of different games to try. A good safe way to go out and have fun right now.. they've definitely gone the extra mile to keep things clean and safe during covid.
Best arcade in New England (yes, that includes Funspot). The machines are well maintained and rotated out frequently. You can come back in a month after a visit and have a whole new experience.
They got the best House of the Dead AND Guitar Hero equipment I've EVER used. That's period. I swear they calibrate the HotD every single day and the guitars are brand new. God bless. Tokens were cheap af, not sure if that's cuz it was a Wednesday (definitely trivia night featuring a $25 gift card prize) while the drinks are where I spent more money, which were absolutely delicious. Easy 5 star
What an awesome place! We had a great time, the game list and draft list are very well selected with many many options. The price is right too! I can not wait to go back!
Every time I come here. I have such a good time. Drinks are priced right and the environment is always laid back and positive. I can't wait until my next night at Game Craft
Had such fun listening to the music and playing all the pinball and favorite arcade games!!! Fun!
If you are like me and enjoy vintage arcade games, then you will enjoy this place. I prefer going (when I do) during the day, as the nights are both busier and louder. They have a bar and over NA drinks as well as alcoholic drinks. If you're hungry, you can order delicious food that's prepared and brought to you from The Lab. The Lab is a take out restaurant on the south side of the Factory Square.
Pinball heaven but as someone who is terrible at pinball, I'm left playing punch em ups and fighting Games. Good beer selection and experience is based on who you get as a bartender. Cool that there are other video games to play while sitting at the bar, though.
The place was fun. I just wish it was a little bigger and they had more arcade machines and pinball machines.
A good bar to go with ppl who do and don't drink! I don't drink and they had plenty of mocktails and sodas. Had fun playing the games. There is talks of them expanding and I'm looking forward to that! Also they really mastered the volume level of all the games. At arcades there's always those few games that are just SO loud but these felt right! (Could hear the music games just the right amount)
I can't love this place more than I already do, family friendly, you can have a great time with your kids and have fun yourself, I never seen anyone being serious for too long in there. I love the service and the respect the staff gives.
"Exploring Local Amusement: A Visit to GameCraft Arcade" As a newcomer to Torrington, Connecticut, I have found great joy in exploring the various amusement options available in the area. After moving here a few years ago, I began my quest to uncover local entertainment spots. About six months ago, my search led me to the burgeoning trend of barcades?arcades that combine classic games with the social atmosphere of a bar. This concept has grown substantially in the last decade and has opened up a new realm
Very fun place to live out the nostalgia! $20 gets plenty of tokens, Drinks are great, games are great and full of nostalgia! Plenty of pinball machines! There's a food place in the building and they will deliver right to you and they taste very good!! 10/10 would recommend!
Nice clean location, good games, service hit or miss. Had someone pick up my 3/4 full drink while playing an arcade cab, when I asked staff about it they shrugged their shoulders and blew me off. Would go for games again, but not for drinks.
Fun place, good drinks, great staff
Would definitely recommend this place. Fun themed drinks, full of retro arcade games and tons of pinball machines. They have Mrs pacman, tron, Dr Mario, mortal combat, and so many more games. And everything is super well priced.
I've visited this barcade a handful of times in the past year and loved each visit! The drinks are tasty, varied, and a fair price, and tokens are surprisingly cheap! However, I'm giving this place 3 stars instead of 5 because there are too many pinball machines. In fact, they recently replaced the dancing game with 3(!) more pinball machines. Even worse, they removed Soul Caliber!! Surely, people don't want that many pinball machines, especially folks who visit in a group and would like to play against th
A most excellent experience. Nestled among many amazing businesses, in and around the establishment. Great beer, clean taps, choice selection of games. Check it out!
Let me start off with, I really love this place! The game and drink options are great and the service is pretty good, but it would be nice if they could keep the games serviced better. More than a few of the games I played had non-functioning buttons and the coin slots ate my money without giving credits.
Awsome new place with a fresh look and sweet drinks. Lots of nostalgia for old gamers and fun times for the new with kind and cool staff this is a fun spot to head out chill with friends and play some games.
I've been to several of these bar-arcade combos and this is by far the best one in CT.
Love the new addition! Now they have an entire 2nd floor!
Great place to enjoy pinball and classic arcade games with drinks. The greatest benefit in my opinion is the 21+ restriction outside Sundays. I visited on a Friday evening and had a blast. Environment was very clean, machines were in great working order. Most impressively, not a single machine was out of order. Staff was quick to assist when I had a stuck pinball. Prices are reasonable and staff were friendly. I hope this business stays open for years to come!
Enjoyed going to the family fun time on Sunday. You get a lot of tokens for your money. You're able to actually play a game longer than 10seconds. Old school nostalgia with new school twist. Good selection of beers. Space on the smaller side we got there early and less were there.
This place is cool and I want to go here all the time what a total vibe
Great place to go if you're a gamer. Wide selection of pinball games as well as arcade games, even has Skeeball and Dance Dance Revolution!! Also has a variety of beer to choose from, and the selection changes occasionally. Doesn't serve hot food itself but does allow you to bring food in. Overall if you're a fan of arcades & beer than this is for you!
I originally intended to go to Montana Nights, but they had a 3 hour wait so I decided to check this place out instead since they share the same entry way. I was completely blown away! The drinks are fantastic! I do wish that the specialty cups they have were available for more drinks. The place is decorated like nostalgia heaven. There is a huge amount of games and the tokens are very reasonably priced. There seemed to be too many pinball machines in my opinion, but they were almost always all occupied so
If I have to give one place my favorite visit of the year it's this gem of bar arcade that I've ever seen. Between the decorations, the machines, and the atmosphere, I absolutely would recommend to any person who loves video games. The aethestic is absolutely in line with what I would dream of for my dream arcade/bar and I absolutely will be returning. The staff was great and the areas was very clean.
Sunday is Family Day at GameCraft Arcade. My family had a great time playing 80's arcade games and pinball. The cost to play games is beyond reasonable. Only small complaint is the Arcade is loud.
Simply Amazing! If you love retro games and a laid back vibe. This is the place for you!!!
Really fun, nice drink selection and well maintained affordable games! Chairs were a bit awkward, high back barstools, awkward for larger bodies or skirts but you aren't sitting that much if you are playing games!
Very unique, we had a good time
Great staff and games! Great for cleanliness and COVID safety
I've been coming here for a few years now and I have nothing but good things to say about. Brody and his staff are fantastic, end the trivia every Wednesday has been our group's hotspot for awhile! Excellent selection of pinball!
Great service. Good selection of pinball and other games. Wish there was some food. Will be going back.
Such a fun place! The staff is very friendly and the games are fun. Defenitly a neat hangout spot to go to with friends.
Had my first experience the other day with a group of friends. What a great time. The employees are great, the experience is out of this world. They do serve alcohol, they some some food from another company. This is a great time for anyone that like video games. They have lots of pinball machines, newer games and a bunch of classic arcade games. For a different type of night out this is where it's at.
This Sunday was our first visit. We came for family day. My 15 year and 10 year old were super excited to check out some of the older games and I was excited to get my pinball in. We got there at 1pm and there was a toddlers birthday party happening. There is no party room, and it seemed like such an odd place for a small childs birthday. You could not move about at all. It was quite obnoxious actually. We stayed maybe an hour before giving up and leaving. Played a handful of games. I'm sure during the week
Just expanded to the upstairs, much more roomy and comfortable
Gaming pinball and booze what's not to like nice place for weekly chill spot
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, rhythm games in arcades are a vibrant hit in 2025! Titles like Dance Dance Revolution and Beatmania deliver high-energy fun, blending music, movement, and precision. Modern machines boast vivid displays, booming sound systems, and diverse song libraries, from J-pop to EDM. They challenge reflexes and rhythm, with competitive leaderboards and tournaments fostering a lively community. Arcade dance floors are regularly packed, proving rhythm games’ immersive, physical thrill keeps them a standout in today’s gaming scene.
