Game Bound and its staff have exceeded my expectations. The service is exceptional, the staff is highly knowledgeable, and the owner is exceptionally friendly and generous with his expertise on Pok?mon cards. My children and I consistently acquire rare and valuable cards during our visits. Game Bound offers superior deals and operates with unwavering integrity, avoiding predatory pricing practices. Their inventory is consistently well-stocked. I gladly support their business, even at a slightly higher
I love this store so much! The employees are super kind and welcoming. I ended up picking some destined rivals packs and a few games, the prices are amazing and most of ALL of all of their products are in EXCELLENT condition! I will be stopping by on a weekly basis :D **Ash and Emmanuel are awesome and I didn't get the other persons name that was there but everyone was super friendly :D
I came to the store to buy my children some Nintendo 64 games. I purchased four games one of which after purchasing I realize that I already owned. I took no more than two steps out the door and turn right back around to exchange it or return it and they offered me to trade it in and give me eight dollars store credit for a game. I paid $45 for and would not give me a return. One 800 scam likely.
This place is one of the best game and card stores in the northwest. They have been super friendly every time I visit this store. They will go out there way to help you understand what you have and get you the best deal for your items that you sell. They are more than fair and I wouldn't go anywhere else ever again.
I went to this Gamebound with my friend on my birthday (April 23rd 2025). My original goal was to buy some Silver Tempest packs but sadly they sold out. We did end up buying some Pokemon singles (I assume the prices were a bit higher then psa pricing) but that didn't bother me too much because the art looked great and in good condition. The employee was very nice and he explained why certain pokemon sets costed more then usual which is fair since pokemon is going through the roof atm (hooray scalpers...). O
Great experience- will definitely be back! Great selection, and me and my family absolutely LOVED the massive Mario and Master Chief statues that are inside. The store is super easy to navigate and everything is amazingly priced. The person that was there when I went was very knowledgeable about everything that was there and was super helpful with everything that I had questions about! I've been living in this area for my entire life, I wish I had known about them sooner! Hopefully they advertise a little m
Literally a hidden gem in Kent. They have a lot of options for used and new games. They also sell consoles that are available and have a discount bin by the cash register!
Love this place! Great for selling and buying games/ Pokemon cards! Great selection and prices are great. The people there are so nice and know what they're talking about!
I called beforehand to figure out if they had a Japanese PlayStation 2 and managed to find it here. The employees were gentlemen and really polite. Their collection of items to sell is impressive. I was amazed and happy to be inside of the store.
Some Employees are cool and they have nice things outside of that i feel like theyre prices and trade in fairness are overwhelmingly onesided. i collect pokemon cards and have been around the block as far as seeing pricing and fair trade in. In that category they are selling at scalping prices and have derailed anychance of me ever trading in my cards there ever again. Example: traded in a 50 dollar card was givin 20% for condition (did not agree) but let it roll anyway just to see the card being resold the
Thank you Gamebound, you all are awesome. I had a ton of old consoles and games to trade in and they gave me a very fair price for trade, much fairer than many other competitors. They are super friendly, with a great selection, highly recommend checking this place out!
This store has every game console and components you can think off. The staff is super kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend Gamebound Video Games for all your video game needs.
Always a pleasant experience coming into the shop with so much positivity and support. Best game shop for retro games and card games in Kent. Check them out!!!
Been to this store several times now and no store in the area can compare when it comes to vintage games. Picked up a handful of GameCube games since I started collecting again recently and the prices were very reasonable compared to other places online. Discs were in fantastic condition, and everything works great. The store is filled with a museum worthy selection of vintage games. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff that provided a personal experience, rather than treating me as a customer I felt
a large selection of videogames and very helpful staff! definitely would recommend stopping by if you have free time, the employees are always friendly and kind :)
A must-see spot for anyone who loves retro video games! Not only was there an amazing game selection but also had amazing displays around the store.
Great retro game spot to visit in the PNW! My wife and I have been game hunting up and down Oregon and Washington traveling all the way up from Central California. We Stopped by this place and grabbed some amazing items, Super C on NES CIB. Flintstones on SNES boxed for the wife, and even a box for Batman Returns SNES. They even worked out a fair deal based on condition and gave me a plastic cover to protect the box. We collectors remember the little things! Before I left I had my eye on a boxed copy of Fi
I forgot to add this review a while back. Gamebound Video Games is a really nice place for retro games at Kent and the workers there are really chill. The people that I know so far is Kiet and Ash and they're great people. My first time going there was around July 2024. This was also my very first time visiting this game store when I started getting into gaming again back in July 2024. I still shop and browse there from time to time, and I still have the ones that I bought such as games and consoles as of n
Great customer service and very friendly. I highly recommend. They also have good prices for their products
Ash at Gamebound was great and helped me find all the PS2 gear I was looking for! Great store with lots of great inventory.
highly recommend stopping by gamebound in kent, wa. very diverse selection of all retro and modern systems, game manuals, strategy guides, as well as consoles and accessories. you will not regret the visit!
Awesome local shops with an old school appeal. The selection of classic games and merchandise was impressive. The shopkeep was friendly and informative.
Super friendly staff and an amazing selection of retro games and consoles! A must stop for anyone wanting to buy retro games in the area :)
Don't get me wrong I like the store but I totally disagree with the console prices. There's no way a gamecube and an n64 is 150. I mean Pink Gorilla sells the gamecube for 90.
Amazing selection, fair prices, and welcoming staff. I highly recommend stopping by and checking them out!
Game was priced and store employee confirmed price and then they changed the price after I agreed to buy. Gave them another chance and they did the same thing agreeing to match price another game and then changed their mind at the register. Store was super disorganized and employees were not knowledgeable.
Don't bother taking cards here to trade. They want to rip you off. Also told me there was a scratch on my card after watching the cashier scrape their finger nail on it. So they'll damage your stuff too Edit; got offered over twice the amount at another shop for the same cards and they even didn't want 2 of them.
Great retro game store. Honest people who are helpful. Fair price for trades. Great selection. ??
Great services and lets me know if they don't have the what I need.
Great game store! Staff was super friendly! Prices were very competitive as well! Loved it!
Went in to sell some cards. Talked with the workers and I believe the owner, really nice people. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
Incredible service and friendly staff! I'll buy all my games from them!
I always have a good experience here. Wide selection and surprising gems I didn't know I was looking for at reasonable prices, with good trade in exchange!
Great service! Been coming here for years. Always a pleasure.
The layout of the store is great! We had the whole store to ourself while we browsed. The layout in the cases is easy to read all the video game titles. We picked up Blade for the GBA, legend of dragoon, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3D! Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. We'll be back for sure!
Great people very helpful but, I ordered Dragonball Z Budokai Tenchaichi 3 for PlayStation 2 and didn't get the right one I got Dragonball Z Budokai Tenchaichi 2 instead.
I've been to this store multiple times over the past year and a half and it's always cool seeing their inventory. Staff is polite and helpful and they accepted a couple of our older games collections for store credit which was helpful. Overall have always had a positive experience at this store, the webstore could possibly use a little polish but otherwise it works well too!
Awesome little store. I've known about this place for awhile and just never made the stop. Didn't catch his name but the guy behind the counter was awesome. Worked with me on pricing of a couple items. And the selection was awesome. Genuine retro store that I enjoyed being at.
They are nice and respectful they can help you no problem especially with questions
Amazing story with an awesome collection. Ranging from Atari to the new gen. And when it comes to selling items to them it's done in a fair way with professionalism. The customer service is on point every time Thank you Gamebound crew you're all awesome.
Great selection and I seem to find something when I visit.
Great customer service and a huge variety of games!
Had everything i wanted, felt like a little boy when i walked in and almost cried :)!
Lovely place, lots of variety in selection and the workers know their stuff. I wish I could buy one of everything, there's so much stuff I've always wanted but couldn't afford as a kid. Some of it is pricey, but its for the real rare stuff, usually still in packaging, there is a lot of cool stuff I found that aren't ridiculously priced like when you try to find online. Definitely coming back to get more goodies again! November 2023 edit: just bought a console and games and they made sure the console was
My favorite store, I went there so many times collecting sega games
Ok, I have to say that I am SO glad I stopped in! I've been looking for a Wii game for my 9 year old son and someone in Southcenter recommended this place, when I pulled up it was in an odd location and didn't look open, mostly because there was plywood over the recently broken out glass door, fortunately when I pulled it opened right up and revealed the most amazing time warp from the video game gods! I was so happy, I'm sure I was grinning from ear to ear. The guy behind the counter was awesome and super
Friendly staff and good selection. Manuel was very helpful.
I've been to easily 50+ retro gaming stores across the country (east and west coast). This store was top tier. My humble opinion, this store was my favorite in the Seattle area. Small place but had good stuff and was priced well. The layout and organization was great and it really felt like the owner is passionate about this business. Highly recommend going here. Love the name of the business too.
Great little shop! I love chatting with the employees, and theres always something cool to see. I even got to sell something rare directly to the owner. Fair prices, amazing inventory.
Prices were great and worker behind the counter was fantastic and very friendly. He helped me with any and all my PS Vita questions and he also was just pleasant to talk with. I was from out of town but next time I'm near Seattle, I'll be visiting.
This is a great shop. The selection was fantastic and the prices totally reasonable. I walked out with a good handful of games I've been wanting. If you want retro game supplies, consoles, controllers, accessories...this is pretty much a one stop shop! Great experience and would definitely go back.
I like the theme of the store. The displays inside are very clean, and it's a great store to browse retro games. The biggest strength to this store is when you want a retro piece here and now and don't want to wait for shipping. The downside is the prices themselves are hit or miss. Sometimes they're good, but often times I find you can buy a cleaner copy of a specific game on ebay for cheaper. The idea that a missing manual or damaged case drastically lessens the value of a collector piece doesn't seem to
Very friendly staff, really cool retro games and they got a good stock of Pok?mon Cards, highly recommend.
I went there to get an old game checked out and to purchase a gameboy the staff were really helpful and nice. And I'm definitely going back to purchase from this place again. It's also I really nice place to experience nostalgia.
Good inventory, decent prices, good customer service. Definitely check this place put! Support your local video game shops!
Such a cool find! Lots of fun games - rare games and well just games! Jess the employee was super chill and put up with me which is always a giant win ?? I'll for sure come back next time I'm in the area.
Very nice and helpful workers that are knowledgeable and friendly! It's rare to go into a shop and the workers to know so much about each item. If you're into retro games you can't find at major retailers this is the place to go! They have all the retro consoles along with a large catalog of games for each system! Tons of fun me and my partner are in every week to see what new stuff they have!
If you're looking for retro games, gear, consoles, and accessories THIS is the place to go! They have the BEST PRICES in the area, even compared to Amazon, a knowledgeable and friendly staff, and great return/exchange policy. If you're looking for a place that buys and trades games they also have this option although I personally have not taken advantage of this option yet. I overall highly recommend this location, they truly have a wide selection of games and accessories at the best prices for everyone and
Very good pleasure doing business here. Called in earlier and asked for Mario Kart for both DS and Wii. Later, I came to pick up said games, but left with Lego Batman as a plus one. Even the open box copies had pristine condition and work put into them, or the previous owner took very good care of them. Whatever it was, very nice and cool. I myself am a Video game collector, so I was very touched and pleased from the good care the games I purchased had. I was thinking about buying a Pok?mon Gameboy I saw, 1
I had a wonderful first experience today at this very clean and well organized retro gaming shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was totally worth the drive from Tacoma! I'll be going back.
Neat game store, was a little smaller inside than I expected but surprisingly packed full of games from all the usual systems. Well worth a stop and look through, quite a few odd and uncommon titles.
A very great place, especially for someone who collects retro Pok?mon things such as myself. A very wide variety of consoles and games, and great customer service! I'm a regular here and go on almost a monthly basis. I'm always happy to browse and get information from CJ, who is always willing to give me information! Overall, greatly recommend!
Only been twice but immediately fell in love with the location. Close to home and not trying to overprice games over their worth online. Genuinely a great spot. Guy that runs the place is super nice too. Games are in great condition. And a large CIB collection of sega genesis games as well as other retro consoles.
Great place, good prices. Lots of weird and strange folks coming in and asking for nonsense, the gentleman working there was way nicer than I would have been.
Super sweet collection and pokemon sealed products
I would love to give this store 5 stars, pretty friendly staff, and some of the best inventory I have seen in Kent or even Seattle. But what comes with that inventory is some terrible pricing, in fact, some of the worst pricing I have seen. It's always like this with places that have pretty much everything, they use that to gouge costumers to pay more than they should. I find myself consistently finding eBay listings that are significantly cheaper than here. And no, they are not those reproduction listings.
Game bound games is a great place If your searching for the old classics, or even something a bit newer. They have almost anything you can think of. Consoles, controllers, wires for older consoles. It's all very organized. You can tell the owner has a lot of respect for video games by how everything is organized and displayed. When I went in the first time I got an old n64 game and he tested it right before I purchased it, which was awesome, making me even more pleased with the owners service. I will most d
Nice got gears of war limited edition
That's funny how I got banned from the store. They said I was harassing the people who worked there and also the customers. All I did was I returned to them and I told them about. You guys sold me a Jailbroken PS3TM slim was ok. They said oh we don't sell Jailbroken consoles. And second that was a different model really what dose that have to do with a Jailbroken PS3TM. They think I'm dumb or I don't know ok. People if they ever ask you to buy a PS3 from them just say No oh thank you. They will lie to you.
Cool game paraphernalia in store. Place reminds me of old-school used game stores from the 90's. Good selection of old games. CJ always very helpful and friendly. Kai was nice too. They are my first stop when I'm looking for retro games or peripherals in the Auburn/Kent area.
Awesome store! Went in to look for some N64 controllers and controller accessories and I was blown away by their selection. Very clean and organized store. I will recommend to friends and continue to come back to build my N64 collection.
Here you will find the coolest of collectibles, and the best selection of video games for older consoles, and even other goodies you didn't even know you were looking for. Such a great place to check out and the staff are also really awesome and nice people. I've been here a couple of times in the past and I've always had a pleasant experience. Check this place out.
This is the best retro gaming shop I've ever been to. Their selection is great, and well-organized, their prices are VERY reasonable, and their customer service is top-notch. If you are considering checking them out, do it! You won't regret it.
This place is great. They have older Pok?mon games at are super hard to find legitimate copies of as of date AND the staff was really friendly.
I went in from Portland to see what they had. I picked out 2 games that already had price tags on them, clearly marked. When I want to pay, the guy says "well we priced these last year, the owner has to figure out the price". The "price" was already on it. So I wait 25 minutes for the owner to show up. He says he'll "cut me a deal" and add $125 and that's all. $125 more than THE ALREADY PRICED game. It sat in the store for a year and in that time they didn't re-price it once until I wanted it and then it
Been coming here for a long time and never had a problem with merchandise. My son saved his money and traded in his old gaming system for a newer one that was priced much higher. He was so excited to bring it home and spent an additional amount of money online to buy games to go with it and the gaming system stopped working four days in. He is devastated that he now has no gaming system that works and the store has a strict no return policy. He would have been better off keeping his old system that worked g
Friendly and helpful staff. A good variety of systems available for sale, with a nice selection of old classics. A great place to stop if you have gaps in your gaming collection go fill.
Lot of items in the store and prices seem pretty on point for games based on popularity. As to be expected. I was able to find a few games from the past I hadn't been able to find elsewhere. Good experience and will likely be back if I'm looking for more older games from the childhood.
The prices here are pretty high. Also, when I bought some stuff from there, they didn't give me the proper amount of change or a receipt even though I asked for one. That put a bad taste in my mouth.
This store is awesome! It has great inventory, great displays and is very clean. The owner is friendly and helpful and knows what he is doing as he is an avid gamer himself. Love this place!
This is an excellent store with very unique and fascinating games. I bought Link The faces of Evil.
As always ..my favorite store !! Nerdgasims from floor to ceiling! Retro goodness ...fair prices! Even more to choose from...new Pokemon display.. yesss! Always a happy customer everytime I go! So happy this store is here! I highly recommend checking it out!!!
Overall great selection of Videogames from the original Nintendo to the current Switch system. Knowledge and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Found my old SNES and wanted to get some more games. Luckily I discovered this place and they have so many games! Bought a bunch of games and a new controller for a really good price. Customer service is on point and they really know their stuff. Would definitely come back again!
Took my son in to look for old Nintendo DS games. They had a good selection and the person working was patient with us as we initially had selected a couple games but then found more and then changed our minds. Good experience and will come back in the future.
This place and staff is absolutely amazing in every aspect. Anthony was very informative and helpful in regards to the game I was purchasing. If there's any game store you're looking to purchase high end/collective games or systems, this is the place.
this place is awesome. has basically every console you can think of and games for them too. i purchased a ps2 for a good price here and i?m very happy with it. Customer service is great and i highly recommend this place to anybody living in the Kent area.
The staff is great, they have an awesome selection, and their prices are reasonable! My husband and I go there multiple times a month to see what new items they have and it's always been a great experience.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
