We had a fantastic birthday party for our son?s 9th birthday. It was amazing to just show up with the cake and snacks, and they took care of everything else! The party hosts were wonderful. There was a great assortment of games- we had boys and girls, and people who liked group games vs people who wanted to play by themselves. Can't recommend enough!
Recently hosted a 40th birthday here (Private event) and it was great! Aimee and her team were so helpful, so quick to respond to questions prior to the event. We had about 25 adults and the space accommodated us perfectly, from the games up to lounge area for food. Everyone enjoyed the variety of games. The candy was an exciting bonus for everyone. Can't say enough good things. I only heard positive feedback from our friends and the birthday boy all night. Highly recommend!!
We just celebrated my daughter?s 7th birthday with friends at Game on State on 5/18/25. The party was absolutely perfect and all of the guests had a wonderful time! Our party hosts Sarah and Emily were so kind and helpful. The space offered endless opportunities for fun with the various games, as well as karaoke. The party room was perfect to gather, eat some food, and enjoy cupcakes after singing happy birthday. At the end of the party, the kids were each able to fill a bag of candy from the candy wall, wh
All of these positive reviews are well earned! We recently hosted my daughter's 8th birthday here and we all had an absolute blast. First off, our party host, Eva, and the manager on duty, Natalie, went above and beyond to make everything easy, stress free, and enjoyable for my husband & I from bringing the stuff to the party room & helping to set it up to helping us load our car with the packed up leftovers, decorations, and gifts. They were so sweet and helpful and made my daughter feel so special! And as
We booked Game on State for my daughter's 8th birthday party, and everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff, especially our dedicated party host, Eva, were incredibly kind and helpful. The kids and parents had a great time gaming and doing karaoke. Eva and her colleagues took care of the setup, cleanup, and pacing of the party so that we could enjoy the event without any stress. My only minor suggestion would be to consider adding a package or upgrade option that allows for 2-hour parties inst
We recently had our 7 year old son's birthday party at Game On State and it was great from start to finish. The party host was super helpful and all of the kids enjoyed themselves. I especially liked that it was a private party space so parents felt comfortable dropping their kids and returning when the party was over. I'd definitely recommend this as a fun and easy birthday party option!
We placed an order for a candy box for recent college acceptance. The size and creativity was amazing and the recipient and their friends were all very impressed! The candy box was fully customized with candy in the school colors and with logos and ribbons. I highly recommend this gift for a thoughtful and yummy way to celebrate college choice time. Aimee and her team are so easy to work with - highly responsive, so kind and friendly.
My daughter?s birthday party was at Game on State and it was perfect! Eva and Holly were incredibly helpful, taking care of everything so that we could all enjoy the party together. The arcade and party room are just the right size, big enough for everything to have room but contained enough that everyone is in the same space. I would highly recommend for a party or event and my kids are looking forward to coming back again soon!
I cannot say enough great things about my son?s 6th birthday party at Game on State! The entire process was so easy! Our party helper, Emily, was fantastic! The kids especially loved their goody bags from the candy wall! All of our guests (kids & adults) had a wonderful time! We will definitely be back!
??We just celebrated my daughter?s fourth birthday at Game on State, and it was an absolute dream! The princess/Descendants-themed dance party was a hit, with all her girlfriends joining in the fun. My daughter was beyond enthusiastic, and the karaoke in the party room was a huge highlight for the kids! The staff was incredible, especially our party host who went above and beyond to organize dance routines and shuffles that got all the girls excited and moving. Parents also loved the chance to escape to the
We had a wonderful experience at my son's 10th birthday party this last weekend. The process was seamless from signing up to executing the event. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind. Most importantly, their mission is extremely inclusive. Love everything that they stand for!
We had a great experience celebrating my son's birthday at Game on State. All my son's friends had a great time with the video games, and even the adults got in on some pinball. The staff was extremely helpful, attentive, and organized.
We had my son?s 9th birthday party at Game on State this past weekend, and everything was fabulous through and through! From preparing us ahead of time what to bring, to keeping the kids on schedule and happily playing during the party, they were top-notch. The kids (and adults) had so much fun, and we'll definitely be going back! Would highly recommend holding an event here!
We had the best birthday party here for my son ? the space is so clean and colorful, the people are wonderful, and the kids had a blast! We love that this is run by a local family and they give back to the community often. And the candy selection is also top notch!
I ordered several branded T-shirts and a sweatshirt for my team at the last minute for an event and the entire experience was fast, convenient and affordable. Plus I love that we were supporting a beautiful mission to employ individuals with disabilities. Thank you ANewWay at Game on State!
Fun Arcade place to visit. Bring a group of your friends to explore the many games they have here! ?? I will visit again.
We had my daughter?s birthday party here last weekend and she had the absolute best time! Booking everything was super easy and the party helpers were fantastic. We've also been here many times to play and it's always a great time and good atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
They have a decent amount of games at this arcade on state road in Media. The place wasn't busy on Friday from 3 to 4pm ?? when I was around and there is parking on the streets. The person in charge of nice and the kids had a lot of fun particularly at the pinball machines and race games. 30 min game time went by quickly but it was enough for the kids. If I are looking for a small low-key arcade in the Media area, this is a cool to checkout. Cheers ??
We ordered candy boxes as favors for an 80th birthday party. They were a huge hit! The boxes were adorable, the candy was fresh and delicious, and it was clear they were made with great care. The team at GOS was easy to work with and went out of their way to make sure we got what we wanted. Highly recommend!!
Game on State has not only fun arcade games, but a great candy store with amazing selection. They make awesome candy gift baskets and I was super impressed with the quality!
According to one guest, this was "the best party he ever went to." The birthday boy loved playing Fast and Furious 2, ski-ball, and Fortnight. Dad and sissy loved dance dance revolution, and Dad was glad to play Mario brothers, Mortal Kombat, and NBA Jams. Mom just had a good time all around. The overwhelming majority of the games (at least 60 or 70) were in good condition [just one had issues]. The sand art candy was fun, and the party space was very good. It would be nice to have a slightly longer amount
We had a birthday party at Game on State and it was amazing. Finn and Aimee were attentive but not overly intrusive. Kids had a blast, and as a bonus the adults did as well. Top recommendation for this place. We are going back Saturday.
We just had a wonderful experience at Game on State. We had my son?s seventh birthday party there and it was great. The staff is so nice. It was a great party, the kids had a blast- and the candy bags at the end were a HUGE hit. From booking to set up everything was easy and smooth. What a gem of a place.
We just had our sons 7th birthday here and it was great. Everything about it was just right. This is a great place for a small, 15 kids or less party.
Great party for our daughter. Natalie was an excellent and attentive party host. Everyone had a blast !
Had an adult birthday party there, they were incredibly accommodating and welcoming, and everyone had a great time!
We went in an afternoon for about an hour with 3 kids. The candy store part of the store was great: plenty to choose from, but not overwhelming. Soda selection was good: glass bottled came sugar Dr. pepper was a nice find! The arcade part was very fun. Only one machine was down, and it was well marked. A good selection of games to choose from. Definitely will go back. My only complaint is that it is not marked on the website when it is closed for a private event. Or, if it was, it wasn't easy to find. It
Took my kids there this past weeked as we were in the area. Apparently they offer birthday parties - which is cool - but that apparently means that they are closed to the public. We came back at 3:30pm when they told us that the party was over so we could play. The only issue was the employees allowed many of the patrons from the party to stay and continue to play the games. If I would have know that - we wouldn't have bothered. But we were there and had already paid so we made the best of it. Probably b
What an absolutely incredible place, with the most inspiring mission. All of my students love to go to GOS, where they have the most welcoming atmosphere for students of all ages and abilities. Upstairs karaoke is the best! Their group programs and fantastic, if your child needed social support - look no further than GOS! What a family friendly place with incredible support, group, and social programming! Highly recommend
Cannot say enough about Game on State! The staff is wonderful and accommodating. Love all the old-school video games and candy!! It's the perfect place for the young and the young-at-heart. They also have great GOS merchandise! If you're looking for a fun family activity, Game on State is the place.
Great place to have a kids party. Julia and Finn were super helpful. All the kids had a blast.
We love Game on State! We've been thinking for a long time that Media needs an arcade and Game on State definitely delivers! They have lots of great games to play including a VR play spot. We had my daughter's birthday party here and it was a hit! The kids and parents love it! AND they loved all the C A N D Y!!! Go go go play at Game on State!
We visited during fall festival. The staff were super friendly and inviting. Prices are super reasonable and kids 3 and under are FREE.
We had my son?s 9th birthday party here and it was unique and the best! The kids loved the variety of video games! We did the premium package where each kid got to fill a bag from the candy wall - it was such a hit! The team at Game of State were so attentive and kind. The birthday party was a success and I highly recommend!! Lastly, I found out that Game on State is now a non-profit - it was great to know we were supporting an organization that was doing well to do good.
Game on State hosted my son?s end of chemo party and it was perfect!!! We had 75 people of all ages and everyone had a blast! The owners are kind and easy to work with- we had a blast. Game on State made his day extra special! Highly recommend!
It was a great 10 year old birthday party for my grandson. I think the adults enjoyed it as much as the kids!!!!
Love this place! Andrew was so nice, he took some time and showed us around. Such a great vibe for a neighborhood arcade. Super clean and organized. We'll Def be customers for life. #supportlocalbusiness
This is my sons? THIRD year in a row having his birthday at Game on State! Him and his friends absolutely love it, and as the parent, it's incredibly easy and I love giving back to the community.
Mixed feelings about this place. First the good: they have a very solid selection of games. Any reviewer that says otherwise must not be a retro gamer. Secondly the staff seem nice and the location is cool. Stuff I'm not too thrilled about. 1 there are no quarters, you have to pay for time which is pretty much a deal breaker for me. $20 for an hour? You'd have to be terrible at gaming to spend $20 in an hour at an arcade. Also no quarters takes a lot of the fun out of it. When you put no money in the machi
Me and my 11 year old grandson played for an hour. It was a little smaller than I thought and not cool enough. We did enjoy the hockey the best and of course we couldn't leave without buying a good amount of candy!
We hosted my son?s 6th birthday here and everyone had an absolute blast. By far the cleanest arcade I've ever been to, and everyone raved about how much fun they had. The staff was fantastic and they have an absolutely wonderful mission. Keep up the great work, we can't wait to be back!
We just had my son's 8th birthday party here. What a GREAT experience!!! He wanted to go to an arcade, and Game on State did not disappoint. The staff was wonderful and took great care of our guests. They really made it so easy to just enjoy ourselves and not worry over the little things. My son said "it's the best birthday ever" Thank you so much for a fantastic experience.
Absolutely great place for a kid?s party! Place was super clean, staff was extremely nice and helpful. Would definitely book again!
I stopped in twice while in the area for a dinner?once with my son and later with a brood of cousins and nephews, ages 5-12. Everyone at the venue was so wonderful and accommodating, even though it was toward the end of the night. When it was time for the kids to pick their candy (from the outstanding assortment of childhood favorites), the associates were so helpful and were attentive. I so much appreciated it. If you're in the area, please stop by! The games are a mix of nostalgia and current characters,
Great Place to Go find some classic Games. I Love this place when I am able to get here. My only complaint is the Limited Hours make it hard to shop here some days
More than an arcade! Game on State makes screen printed clothing too! I was searching for someone to make t-shirts for my son?s soccer team to use playing in a winter league. The boys play for different schools and clubs, so they needed a uniform shirt to wear. One of the boys came up with the logo and someone else the name. Someone on a local Facebook group recommended Game on State. I needed them done in 10 days. They had them done in less than that. They look so sharp and the material is great. I can't w
This is a fantastic place to take children of all levels and abilities. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner and she was welcoming, kind, very inclusive and community oriented. The arcade and store was clean and immaculate when we were there with plenty of games to keep the kids interest. The games and candy were reasonably priced. I love supporting this local business and I highly recommend you stop by and check it out.
We had a birthday party for a group of 8 year olds. All the kids had a blast! It was very clean. The staff was helpful and did a great job gathering the kids for snacks and cake! I highly recommend Game On State!
Major shoutout to GOS! They just helped sponsor a local play and then gave everyone who attended the play some free time. Went in with one of my clients with special needs and we had a great time. Super inclusive, manager working was really friendly. Will definitely return!
We had my son?s birthday party at GOS and it was AMAZING in every way. The GOS team was super helpful, kind, and made it so easy and fun. The arcade is really fun, the party room is perfect and we all had a blast! Can't recommend it highly enough.
The owners are great, been to birthday parties there, saw a bat mitzvah there. Great games us older folks remember and they have a candy section there too. You can play for only 15 minutes or longer, no big time commitment. Highly recommend if you feel like playing games and having fun.
Super fun for a night out with the kids. Lots of arcade games and skee ball. We played for half an hour, loaded up our candy bags, then went out to dinner on State street. They also have cool hats! Planning to have our daughter's 11th birthday there! The place is the perfectly sized so that it doesn't feel overwhelming and you won't lose your kids. You pay per 15 minutes of play and all the games are set on free play - so once you're in, you don't need to keep putting in money. You also have a non-negot
I love how nice the staff was! I have always wanted to visit, and today was perfect! Candy store is a added bonus Also the duck earrings are fantastic!
Wonderful venue for a birthday party?clean, well-run, kind and helpful staff. It's a nice size for a group. They make it very easy and a good time was had by all, including many of the adults who enjoyed the retro games.
I had a party here for my son's 8th birthday this past Saturday and everyone loved it. All of the parents from the local elementary school said that they loved the place and couldn't wait to return for another visit or party. Our party host was kind and helpful, the place has a great ambiance and has games for all ages.
Fun, LITTLE arcade they use every inch of this place. We got there just after 8 and would only sell us the 1/2 hour time not hour but we pretty much got to stay there until 9 (closing time). Pinball machines and some other classic ones they had a vr setup, more money obviously didn't try that but looked neat. 20$ for two of us for basically an hour unlimited play is worth it on a evening where it's not elbow to elbow. If it's crowded temper your expectations on being able to walk around and play
Had my daughters birthday party here. It was an awesome spot. All of the kids loved it. The staff was great. Highly recommend!
This place was adorable!! Affordable and nostalgic. The manager Andrew was absolutely wonderful and so kind to my niece. He searched the back for the specific candy she wanted and was sooo nice about it. We will absolutely be back. Awesome spot- awesome staff.
Always a great time at GOS! They have an amazing selection of candy and games and are always getting new things in. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
I'm freind's with the owners daughter, Natalie, so I might be a bit biased. But Game On State is amazing! I stop by there just to buy the candy. I came there with my little sister and her freind once and they loved it. It's a place children of all ages can enjoy. I suggest the pinball machines. But watch out, I may just have the high score.
Took my kids and a friend (10, 10 & 6) over to Game on State today and they enjoyed the gaming very much! Had a good variety of things and it didn't get too crowded. Really helpful staff and it was super clean. We will be back!
I love Game on State. Great nostalgia for Pac-Man lovers and current experiences, such as VR, will make anyone smile. The candy selection is perfection, decor is spot on, and the staff knows the exact meaning of customer service. Support a local business and get a great big slice of fun!
It was the perfect place for a 10 year old?s birthday party. The staff was great and everyone left having had a really fun time. Always a very welcoming atmosphere and a welcome addition to State Street.
We went here on Christmas afternoon and had a great time! You pay by the hour, so there's no need for a sack of quarters when you keep dying because your game skills are a little rusty? like 25 years of rust ?? GOS had a long wall of pinball machines, skeeball, the original Super Mario, Burger Time, Golden Tee, TMNT and more. We left with some retro candy like Chuckles, Turkish Taffy, and Yikes! Stripes! Fruit Stripe gum! We can't wait to return and bring more friends and family! Excellent addition to our h
Great arcade games, sweet candy, friendly staff. What's not to like??
I had been wanting to go for a while and my wife surprised me on date night. The staff was helpful and the place is reasonable price as well as good time. A great diversity of games and I am sure there will be something there you life from pinball, street fighter, and pac-man.
I visited and was very impressed by the variety of retro games and candy at Game on State. The workers were all very nice and I will definitely be coming back whenever I can. I recommend Game on State to everyone in the media area!
I stopped in to see Media's newest experience on State Street. Very cool. Given the range of machines, from PacMan, Mario and 1960's pinball to the latest games, a VR room, and an awesome multi-player big screen "living room," Game on State is clearly a passion project. Check it out - no coins needed. You buy a half hour or hour of fun.
Staff is friendly and the selection of games and candy is outstanding! I was there for a private event and it was great. Would love to have a party there!
If you're going to close for a private event, close the actual place. It's really upsetting to a toddler when they walk in and are told they can't play video games for another hour and a half. Just close the place for the time being or allow other kids to play
The service was great! Especially Andrew and Eli. What great dudes! Im kinda disappointed that there weren't any among us stickers however. But otherwise, wonderful experience!
Thank you so much for making a tie die Game on State for me. It fits great and the colors are awesome. And I couldn't ask for a better group of people.Everybody is so nice to me any time I am in.
Fun place and a great concept. As a child of the 80s, the have a ton of classics to usher in a flood of memories! We had a blast, will definitely return if I'm ever in Media again!
So, I love the premise for this arcade. Pay a flat fee for time I think it was around $6.00 for 30 minutes and play unlimited games. The selection of candy is almost as plentiful as the selection of games
Such an awesome place doing awesome things for the community. Owners are great! Staff is great!
The owners are really nice. The games are exactly the retro 80s arcade games I grew up with. The game machines are in excellent condition. They even sell retro candeies.Game On gets 2 thumbs up from me.
Thus place was good, but there selection was mostly boring, mostly made up if pinball, and the Xbox is always crowded with people screaming the f word at me when I ask to use it. BTW don't buy the candy there, the candy us cheaper on Amazon.
Wonderful experience for all kids of all ages. Love all of the old school video games and super friendly staff
We ordered a candy bouquet and my daughter absolutely loved it! Cutest gift
I hosted a 40th Birthday party here, and it was wonderful. The space is fun, and the owners and staff are extremely responsive, friendly, and accommodating.
This is the cutest place. Lots for the kids to do, awesome candy selection and the nicest staff.
I had a wonderful time with my daughter.. Very friendly atmosphere and some CLASSIC VIDEO GAMES !!!
Have attended several parties for kids and adults and everything was perfect. Had so much fun.
Awesome for bday parties!
Excellent place - kids had a lot of fun !!! Will come again!! Highly recommend!!
I changed my mind about this place. It's actually pretty good for an internship.
So much fun!! So much candy!!! Pin ball and video games from my youth. Virtual Reality from today. Fun for the whole family.
Very good, cool games, Wii is awesome, pinball, staff is nice
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
