Game On! Arcade & Sports Pub

Game On! Arcade & Sports Pub

Reviews Summary

The venue is a family-friendly arcade-bar hybrid with a mix of positive and negative feedback. Many appreciate the fun atmosphere, variety of games, and full bar, making it great for both kids and adults. However, complaints highlight poor maintenance (broken games, cracked walls), expensive drinks, and issues with restrooms and parking. Daytime visits are recommended for families, as nights can get rowdy. While some love the rustic charm and digital payment system, others feel it’s overpriced or poorly managed. Overall, it’s a fun spot with potential if maintenance and service improve.

Part of the Geneva-on-the-Lake Halloween bar crawl 10/18-19/2024. Try a white chocolate vodka shot ?? ??. Lots of really cool arcade games. You can also get something to eat buy T-shirts and other collectibles. Friendly service. Fun place to hang out put money on a card to play the games. Of course the car does reusable.

To response: This restroom has been in a state of disrepair for many many years, DONT SAY YOUR GOING TO FIX IT, parking lot attendant was wearing your shirt tho??? No response to gross because it is lol Upon entering the parking lot I was almost immediately harassed by the parking lot attendant. I asked if it was 10$ for both bikes since we were only in one spot, he said yes, I gave him $10 for him only to say no $10 each! For the same spot??? So I had to move my bike into another spot and pay an additiona

Best bang for your buck as far as arcades. The games are all reasonable and the cost for the cards is also a deal. We frequent arcades for air hockey and some other classics and this is by far one of the best ones to get the most for your money. I have not checked out the prize selection but parents this is a great deal!

Food and drinks were expensive. Had a glass of wine, $6. Went to grocery store and bought a bottle for $8.50. Appetizers were around $15 as were most sandwiches. Lunch for 2;was about $25 each.

Drinks are expensive maybe a half a shot of whisky in a jim and coke. And more than a cpl times the pool table takes the money but doesn't release so called help tells us oh just try again

Stopped in during the afternoon to escape the sun and heat. Bartender was nice, waited on me right away. He was waiting on others as well, great job being personable with everyone. My wife and daughter stopped a few minutes later. He made my wife a drink, she enjoyed it. We left after our drinks. Games were open and the facility was ready for business, but not much was happening on a weekday. I hope to stop again soon.

Nice arcade and bar. I was able to have a drink while my kid played video games. We also got to do some ax throwing.

I like that it's an adult and kids place. You can sit down and chill with a beer while your kid's run around and play games. I don't like that you have to leave the whole building to use a broken down restroom with only one working stale out of six. Plus the wall behind the bar near the pool tables has a crack in it where you can see daylight. If there was a better bathroom and the wall was fixed maybe I'd give it Five stars.

Definitly a Parental Favorite! Kids get their games, Parents get their drinks!

Great little arcade on the strip in Geneva. The games are fun. I don't recommend ordering a mixed drink. They're very weak and expensive. It cost $14 for a weak, long island iced tea..

They don't have a very good selection of beer or liquor. The arcade would be perfect except that they allow children. This weekend I was there with friends and some guy came up to us to tell us that there were children present (he disapproved of our language)...I asked why he brought his kids to a bar. There is an arcade across the street that he could've taken his kids to that didn't include drinking adults. It should be age restricted to 13+. A better selection of drinks & no kids and this place would hav

Absolutely loved this arcade. We stopped at a few while in geneva and this one was one of our favorites! We came in late for something to do our first night and the staff said they would stay open for a bit. Wonderful people! Walking around and making sure things were going well. All games were working and they made sure there was nothing wrong ?? RECOMMEND 100%

Super awesome atmosphere for a young family or older adults. Food is awesome and they have great games to keep the kids entertained will enjoying a beer. This is one of our must stops when at gotl.

Arcade machines take money and don't give plays half the time. Arcade machines themselves aren't properly taken care of. If you want booze it's cheaper at other places and there's better arcades on the strip so I don't see a reason to come here.

Super fun, but not a great atmosphere for my 7 elyear old. Lots college age kids drinking at the bar and around the establishment. If you have children go during the day and avoid at night.

Clean and new! No musky smell and a nice bar with flag screen tvs. Drinks are reasonably priced and they also have life size Jenga to play for free.

Had a great time. Games were a little pricey but they had a variety that would keep most who were having a drink or two in fun.

It's now Game On . So many TVs all new games 8 beers on tap . Neat swipe card system that makes saving your tickets much easier.

Family oriented as fun for all ages, great arcade that uses swipe card, full bar, and TVs for your choice sport. Great place to visit with family and friends.

Fun place to play games we won the biggest prize there only costs us 80 dollars but we had a great time

Kids loved the idea of not carrying around a bunch of tickets.... all tickets are conveniently added to their swipe card that are reloadable with cash! No more list money or tickets!

Love this place and love our green kayak!! Thanks again for the amazing win!!! Anf can't wait to see our picture on the wall next year :)

Bad customer service

Good place if you want to have a beer or cocktail while enjoying some pinball and arcade games.

Games are fun, kind of minimal. Pool skeeball, and MK3. Worth the visit but watch out for the $5 beers! Robbery at the bar!

Games sucked, spent 20 dollars for a pair of ear buds. Awful atmosphere, doesn't know what demographic to cater to.

ATM didn't work. A lot of games weren't working.

Cute arcade/bar fun to stop in and grab a drink and play some games.

Great bar and who doesnt love having an adult beverage and playing a game of skeeball?

Great environment good selections of drinks and games....good place for guys nite out

Fun place! Kids sprite cost $2.75 beers $2.50.

Got addicted to the coin drop machine. 10/10. Best way to earn coins.

Great time was had. Great service from the young man tending bar tonight. Jason maybe,

Wonderful arcade! They have some cool and some weird games.

Two drinks, one of which was well... $16! A lot too pricey for GOTL. ??

No quarters. You have to use a special card. Bar is good.

It's a bit small, but had a fun time with my kids

Off season wasnt impressed with swiping of card and tickets put on you cant judge money flew by ??

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
