This place was incredible. Ive been to quite a few places in multiple states the last 3 years and I have never seen machine from the 80?s and 90?s in such pristine condition. There were only a couple out of the over 40 that needed some attention. I met the owner there and he was a super nice guy. Some of his machines play for 25 cents and many of them play for 50 cents a game. You just don't find that anywhere anymore. I went on a Saturday for two hours and loved it so much the next day I went there for 8

Walking into Game Cycle is like stepping into a time machine?and I mean that in the best possible way. From Atari to Xbox, NES to PS5, this place has everything. The selection is jaw-dropping, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the vibe? Pure childhood joy. I found titles I hadn't thought about in decades?and some I didn't even know I was missing. Whether you're hunting for cartridge classics, rare imports, or just chasing that 8-bit buzz, Game Cycle delivers. If you're even remotely into retro

I've been going here for over 20 years, back when it was called Video Outlet & I still catch myself calling it that more often than Game Cycle. I've never known of any bad people to work here, going all the way back to Bill who I believe has passed on - RIP Bill you were such a pleasant guy, I always think of you everytime I stop in. This place is very fair in terms of buy & trade-in pricing. You're never gonna get full value when you're essentially trading or selling items to a merchant to sell them for

Really nice guys. Went in and got a PS3 with a game. They boxed it up, new power cable and they even gave me an HDMI cable that I ended up needing since I didn't realize I didn't have an extra. Great service. Super friendly.

I went to this place today to get some stuff for my new Wii system. They were so helpful and had everything I needed to set my Wii up to get it ready to play the same day. These guys are awesome and I will be coming here for all my gaming and collectible needs from now on :)

Randy and the guys at Game Cycle are friendly, welcoming, generous and truly love creating a top experience for their guests. My three young kids LOVE coming here with me on Saturday mornings during our weekends together. After five years, they know the place well and have their favorite arcade games. My oldest discovered the pinball machines last year and it blew his mind. My kids game frequently on PS5 and 360 consoles at their mom's house so it's cool to me that they love these retro arcade games as well

No pictures, another favorite place if you enjoy records, games, funko pops, old game systems and Lego puzzles. Just much more to mention. It also has an arcade room. We enjoy going whem we can.

Great selection and great prices. I found dvds and games that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. The arcade is also super fun and everyone working there was very nice.

The crew here assisted me in getting a console I've dreamed of having for a long time, and were super helpful in understanding how to troubleshoot the console to get things working. Friendly, informative, and welcoming staff!

I enjoy coming here to relax a bit and play some pinball games, they have a wide selection of games for all systems and movies, and if you have a question, they are happy to help.

I have never been to the store before today. I am from out of town and saw it while driving back from work and wanted to check it out. This store is absolutely amazing. They have a full arcade and a VAST selection of games and movies spanning multiple systems and formats. Truly a gem. But... What makes this store a 5/5 star rating is the staff. They are great people who have gaming in their hearts and want everyone to share the magic of gaming and collecting. I hope I get to come into town again soon just s

Super cool spot. Large assortment of new (switch, Xbox, PS) games and retro (cartridge) games, along with a huge library of music and movies. Half of the store is a treasure trove of arcade classics for quarter plays, with a quarter machine on site. The guy working the counter was friendly and helpful - unfortunately I didn't get his name but he and his coworker travel from the Dayton area, which says something to me about their dedication and enjoyment working here.

The arcade section is amazing and has a wide selection. Store has plenty of games, dvds, Blu-ray?s, and consoles! The staff is friendly. It's a go to hangout spot to play arcade games and I would recommend shopping here for physical media.

This place rocks! Whether you're feeling nostalgic for pinball, browsing the collectibles, or looking to trade old stuff in. They got you covered. Countless good memories, that's why I've been a customer there for 12 years.

Awesome place huge variety and cool arcade prices are fair staff is helpful highly recommend.

Just doing an update! I would have to say this is my favorite place to buy blu-rays! My boys love the arcade! My youngest requested to come here to spend his birthday money. Super nice guys running the place.

Since offering the option to buy online via Whatnot, I believe this store can be one of the best options for gaming related purchases in the country. The selection is vast and customer service is top notch, not to mention the personality behind the phone is awesome. Thanks Al.

I have been coming to this location since I was a teen (37 now). I absolutely love the arcade and I can spend a good amount of time going through the entire collection there. The good collections are up at the glass case and they are reasonably priced. Unlike many stores, here you won't feel like you're talking to robots like you're a GIGO (get in get out). Personable, well priced, nice stock, fun arcade, a must visit!

FAKE POKEMON CARDS!! I was in Springfield for a week and super excited to check out and support the local game store. I purchased a few items including 5 packs of Japanese Pokemon cards. ALL Fake!! 0% chance they did not know these cards were fake. As soon as I got home to open them, it was the immediate oh no feeling. Super thin, texture off, color slightly off, no black layer...terrible representation for your community!! If you look in the first pics, you can clearly see even on an illustration card the

i edited my comment because of the reply, and trust that they will take care of this employee because i had never see him before. i?ve always loved game cycle, the arcade, and all of the games and music selection. would hate to see the environment ruined by a bigot. *previous review* always liked this store for years came in the other day and a big tattooed guy behind the counter was calling liberals ?terrorists? and saying all democrats ?hate jews? literally screaming, to a whole group of people who weren

Man. What can I say about this place. The owner and staff are great and treat you with respect. Some people may complain about the prices. But they stay with current market value and sometimes less. But the hidden GEM. A arcade of classic pinball machines and fighting cabinets. You won't be disappointed in this place.

Growing up the best place to play video games was the arcade. We aren't seeing that anymore.but at game cycle it's like I'm a kid again and my kids can see what games I played growing up. Staff are like family very nice and as long as you mind you manners and respect the old equipment you're love your experience and hopefully make it a part of your kids video gaming experience.

Great place, great people, great prices. Literally all you can ask for.

You thinking man I want to play some pinball well this is your place, Awesome variety of pinball games to play. Or are you thinking hey I need a new record to play on my fisher price record player they have you covered, with a huge selection of records, or like myself are you trying to find a old sega game believe or not they have got you there as well, Amazing service will help you in any way you need, I was 100 percent happy with my sega and games I got. Would recommend to anyone.

As a grandfather of two boys (4 & 8 years old), I am VERY THANKFUL for the family-friendly focus of the owner and team at Game Cycle! Game Cycle also provides a level of professionalism and customer service that excels all other businesses I know of in the Springfield, Ohio, area.

Alright store, It had a fair amount of older stuff. an ok used n64 collection and alot of DVDs. a little crowded..

The arcade was dope, yo. Super huge selection of games, retro and modern, and movies of all ages. Their vinyl collection was heavy on Christmas albums for some reason, but now I know where to get my next Christmas party playlist from.

Love this place! Fun for the whole family! Lots of cool retro arcade games and a huge selection of used games, movies, console, accessories and more. We'll be back again and again and again!

When the owner is away, there is a complete lack of effort. And what they tell you they will offer for trades and selling and what they actually offer are 2 completely different things. NOTE: This is when the owner is away. They also never respond on facebook unless pressured. They read and let it sit. Very nasty attitude also: Everything below is from the store and a photo attached. Just so you know we go by price charting and as you can see your price on just one game was off 15$ and that's just

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and inventory. Very blessed to still have a great used video game store within a 29 minute drive.

This place is heaven for game geeks! Coin-op video games galore, the best pinball around, and a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Game systems for sale dating back to the mid-seventies at great (affordable) prices. My Son (12 y.o.) and I stop in weekly to play video games and chat up the staff. They also have a great collection of dvd's and some records too. We pick up 3DS games weekly. Stop in an avail yourself of the fun and their knowledge, you will not be disappointed ever. We stop in every c

One of the best used game stores in Ohio. The selection of games, movies, and CDs can't be beat. Friends and I come here a few times a month for the arcade and to see what games they have in stock. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Always feel welcomed when I go. Prices on games tend to be a little cheaper here compared to others in the area. I've been supporting this place since it opened when I was in high school and will continue to do so. Great store!

Not too long ago, my Switch was stolen/taken from me inside of a case that had 9 solid copies of games as well as two memory cards with a ridiculous amount of digital copies. When I was positive it was not in my possession any longer, I personally visited 2-3 businesses to warn them of someone possibly trying to sell a stolen Switch- a description of all items was given. About two days later, I received a call from the gentlemen at Game Cycle- they had been kind enough to take down my information and subseq

What an amazing experience. Great priced games and very nice workers. We had a lot of jokes and laughs, very welcoming establishment. Couldn't recommend anymore, also the only store around me that had what I was looking for.

Nice little game spot found a few games that just took the coins prices for games are fair.

Excellent service and the guys were friendly and funny. Huge selection with a great variety of games and movies. Over heard the guy at the desk telling someone who was trying to sell a 3ds or do that he might get more from another store across town so they look after their customers. Which means I'm definitely coming back.

Super fun, really brings me back to the arcade's from the 80's that I spent so much money at as a kid!!! I had no idea this gem was in Springfield

My favorite video game shop. Awesome Arcade Games to play. A lots of old and new dvds, blue rays. Plus VHS ?? Tapes. RANDY AND DANNY yes and even Eric The owner are the nicest employees that has helped me out. Alots of retro video game selections and newer video game selections. From Atari to Playstation even Xbox.

Super awesome and knowledgeable staff. Me and my girlfriend frequently go to the arcade here and have a great time. Cant wait to shoot a music video here.

Friendly and helpful staff. Arcade has a good selection of games. The machines take quarters; there's a quarter machine there so you can exchange your bills. Some machines are 25?, but racing and pinball are a bit more. I think the pricing of the arcade and the general merchandise in the store seems fair. I'm excited to come here again with my partner :)

Friendly staff, competitive prices, and the arcade section is packed with nearly every timeless classic you can think of.

If you want to go back in time to my childhood in the arcades and pinball is always a favorite of mine and I have watched the first video game and how they have grown to the complexity of current. Half of the building to the arcade and the other side is the best used games, DVD's, and systems and accessories and the staff is top notch. It's good to have a good arcade and the other arcade I was at. Was called the pinball museum and I have seen nothing but museum and it was a huge old airplane hanger and I wa

I can't say enough good things about this place and the the guys who run it. I took my students from a specialized classroom to have a fun day of arcade games and pizza and they absolutely had a blast!!! Shout out to Eric (the owner) for letting my class use the facility for their field trip. Randy and Danny...you guys were absolutely amazing and made sure my kiddos had the best time! BIG extra thanks to Randy for facilitating our entire stay and allowing us to use the party room for our pizza party! The ki

Haven't lived around there in a few years but I always loved this place, hope the owner is doing well with everything going on cause he was always a major homie. Me and my buddy asked if he had Soul Caliber 2 on the OG Xbox and we couldn't find it so he was like "sorry looks like we dont have it" but then 40 minutes later me and my friend were setting the record on the basketball machine when he walked up and tapped me on the shoulder with a copy in his hand. Man had been searching through the back the enti

This place is awesome. Great selection of used games and videos. The arcade is super cool, like walking into the past. Lots of fun older arcade games. Arcade games are expensive for age.

I always have a nice experience at this store! I love their overall selection and arcade/pinball games. Folks are nice and always welcoming. My #1 retro store in the area by far.

I can't say enough good things about Game Cycle. We've been coming here for about two years now. I love the huge selection of pinball machines, new and old. Makes for a fun date night or I like getting some quick games in before I go to work. And when I couldn't play as much, we started getting dvds/blurays. Pretty much anytime we want to watch something random, game cycle has had it! You won't regret checking this place out! The staff is friendly and helpful. There's something for everyone.

I had not been there for a few years but my son wanted to play video & pinball games so decided to swing by Game Cycle. They have way more games than I last remember and many old school ones I had totally forgotten about. More importantly, the staff there was so nice and sweet!! Their compassion for the public real shines!! I left way more happier than when I came. Kiddos Game Cycle, I am thoroughly impressed!! ??

People were nice, some machines are a bit finicky but it was fun.

This place is just incredible. I've been coming to this location since it was Video Outlet, and I gotta say, the Game Cycle knocks it out of the park compared to Video Outlet and any other game store within at least a 100 mile radius. Customer service is top notch, the selection is wonderful. I seriously find so many cool things in there every time I go. Prices are more than reasonable and you can just tell there's a true love for gaming, especially retro gaming, fueling this place. And they have an arcade

Atari, Colecovision (maybe), NES, SuperNES, GameCube, N64, Dolphin, Switch, Gameboy (any, I believe), PS 1-5, XBOX, XBOX 360, XBOX ONE (X&S also), Sega, Retro 5 and up... name a system they carry the console or games or both! VHS, DVD's, Blu-ray, CD's, Vinyl (various artists and play speeds (ie.45's)), arcade style video games, pinball games, crane games! I'm sure that if this place doesn't have what you want, they'll get it for you! The fella behind the counter was quite knowledgeable about many in store t

Great customer service, Eli helped me with all my gaming needs, super knowledgeable. Would come again

Love game cycle, it's one of the most affordable secondhand game stores. Great service!

My visit to the best retro game store was truly exceptional! They have an extensive selection that almost perfectly matched what I was looking for, and the staff was not only incredibly friendly but also top-notch. One of the staff members, a guy with tattoos, helped me find many things I was searching for. Overall, this place is absolutely amazing!

Heaven. I come here both as a casual game collector and enjoyer, and if you're like me, you'll be amazed at the selection from corner to corner. You'll find walls of games with the consoles, wires, converters, memory cards, and accessories they pair with. All with fair and up to date prices. On top of that, the arcade experience is wonderfully inviting and nostalgic, plus you just gotta love NFL Blitz. Everyone who works here as given me nothing but honesty and fairness, both as a buyer and a seller, and I'

Over priced! Bought a 360 played it maybe 6 times and got a red ring e71 error.... I'll never go back

One of the best places in town to hang out. They have a great selection of products for nearly every game system. The whole staff is great to chat with. The arcade is better than most others in Ohio, or most other arcades. Buy a roll of quarters and forget the next few hours of your life. You won't be disappointed. Also, it's a great location to plan a small birthday party. They have a room in the back of the building you can set up any way you'd like, and the staff is very pleasant and accommodating with

Loads of fun. They have an expressive selection of vintage video games, movies, and music to choose from. Collector grade and playable condition. They also have an old school arcade, so we'll load up on quarters and spend an hour or two playing pinball or classic arcade cabinets. They also have other collectibles, systems, etc. Some very rare items, too.

This place is my opinion is amazing! People who work here are extremely nice, I would bring my friends and family here, the amount of game and movie collection they have is outstanding! If you haven't been here, you need to stop by, it is worth the trip!

Amazing store, with TONS of games. I've been able to find so many games I can't find anywhere else, along with consoles, the staff have been so helpful and kind with any questions too. I'll be back for many future visits!

Love the arcade here. It's a great place to go play older arcade games. They also have a wonderful selection of games, movies and even records for your record player. They also have some nice action figures and anything game related there as well. The staff is friendly and very thorough when explaining things which is a big plus in my book.

Love this shop - I was so impressed with this store?s offerings! Too many options to buy and I truly love their customer service. The guy with tattoos is def my fav employee to work with and there are wonderful people who will take care of you and your gaming experience. I definitely will come back.

Great selection of games and memorabilia to go along with an awesome staff. If you want great service stop in and see Randy! He provided me with a Wii and all the accessories to be used for my classroom. First class guy! I won't go anywhere else.

Such a cool place! Any sort of retro games or equipment you can think of and a large arcade area! If I was local, I'd be here all the time!

A great place to find all sort of old media, and they have a large selection of old arcade games. I really enjoy the selection of pinball games!

Great selection of games from ALL eras! Awesome staff and an EPIC arcade like when I was a kid! If you want a piece of nostalgia Game Cycle is the place to go! It's one of the few places that makes me happy to be there!

The guy with tattoos help me today was really nice and help me get the game I wanted, also the guy with the long hair helped me find a game I have been looking for!! Really great experience. Definitely recommend going to this game store. Big bonus they have a arcade room! Definitely satisfied

Really cool little store, in a once populated, abandoned city. Walked in here expecting nothing, and was very surprised of the game selection. I asked if he had PC Engine games, and the owner said no. Then I looked and saw a stack of TurboGrafx games. Most shops wouldn't even know what PC Engine is, and if they did, they would have directed me to the TurboGrafx section... if they had one. They probably wouldn't even know what TurboGrafx is honestly. So, they know their stuff. They get a star for that. The

This Video games store and Arcade is the best!!! I have never been to a more inviting place. Eric and his staff are the nicest people. They keep all their arcades and pins super clean and they all work great. The video games selection is amazing and great prices too. I recommend this place for everyone. I wish I lived closer to Game Cycle. THANKS GUYS!!

Tons of old school arcade games like Frogger, Donkey Kong,..they also have a lot of pinball games..but the best part is each game is only 25 cents!

Just stopped in here for the first time, what an awesome place! Nostalgia galore, wonderful selection of games, and media of all sorts. The arcade in the back is really fun, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Randy and Danny were awesome to talk with and buy from. Will definitely shop here again!

THEY GAVE ME A FREE PSP GAME. THAT ALONE GIVES THIS PLACE 5 STARS. The staff is friendly, they have a great arcade selection, AND have every console known to man. The place is clean and you even get to high five Danny Devito.

Absolutely amazing shop. Traveled 700 miles just to hit the arcade and check out the Atari goodies. Was not disappointed!

Great place to go. Old school arcade games to play for a quarter just like in the 80s. Great prices on consoles and games. Very friendly staff.

My husband and I love coming to Game Cycle and looking at the array of product they offer! Vast selections of legos, old school games & systems, vinyl, and more!!! It's always fun playing pinball in the Arcade and makes for the perfect day date! 10/10 recommend :D the staff is great too!

This place is awesome! I instantly fell in love with this store because it took me back to my child hood and my kids had a blast playing all classic and new arcade games. The employees were friendly, polite and helped with any questions and problems we had. Will definitely be going back in the future.

Great customer service. Clean and fun

First time taking my 7 and 10- year old grandkids. They loved the place. Staff was friendly and awesome.

Great selection of games, dvds, vinyls, and systems! The arcade takes you back in time to the 80s. All coin operated, most of them taking a quarter or 50 cents. Such a great selection of titles to play too! 10 dollars went a long way. I could easily see myself coming here regularly. Super nostalgic and super fun!

A phenomenal place for video game nostalgics. They have a vast collection of coin-op video games, pinball games, gaming (entertainment) systems, and various DVDs. My family and I come in every couple of weeks to continue building on our game collection that dates back as early as 1972. We always get lost in time and quickly find that we spent longer than intended browsing. Friendly and knowledgeable staff makes us feel welcome and a part of the Game Cycle family. We stop in every couple of weeks, and they

I don't know where to start, this store has the be the best one in Springfield, I am obsessed over the fact they have a arcade room, the staff is so friendly, the whole atmosphere is a vibe. Couldn't find a game and a lady helped me out and she literally was the sweetest, during check out a tall tatted man carried a conversation like we have been friends!! You guys rock.

This place was absolutely amazing! It was like walking back in time! There was a super nice young girl that I spoke to and she was extremely helpful! Super nice folks and here and you can tell they share the same passion for retro games as you do! Please if you ever get the chance, stop by and pay them a visit! They have a lot of awesome products that will make you feel like a kid again!

I attempted to call regarding a game that I was looking for and left a message. I never received a call back and went to a competitor to obtain the game I wanted. I am sure they do a good business here, just need to work on communication and customer service.

Great place, everyone is so nice. They also have a great selection of games and movies. There are so many games and consoles, and it's so organized.

Bought 10+ movies from here- found a couple that no other store ever has in stock. Front counter associate, Randy, was extremely helpful! Awesome personality and very friendly! This place is a must go! Customer service alone makes me want to go back, not to mention the wide variety of selection they have!

Great markdowns on used games like new. Great customer assistance on what's new, as well as featured in stock. Huge selection dating backward and forward. I constantly see game fans online asking for what they offer here. What they want and can't hunt down is almost always in this store!

This place is great! There's so many movies, music, and video games to check out! Also, bring your quarters since they have an arcade full of pinball machines and arcade cabinets! Definitely worth a stop in to look around, you never know what you might find!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
