Funtastic Arcade Woodburn

Funtastic Arcade Woodburn

Reviews Summary

The arcade receives mixed reviews, with many praising its fun atmosphere and variety of games (mostly 5-star ratings). However, several complaints highlight malfunctioning machines, misleading pricing, poor customer service, and accusations of incentivized 5-star reviews. Negative reviews (1-2 stars) focus on broken equipment, lack of staff assistance, and perceived scams, particularly with claw machines and credit deductions. While some enjoy the experience, others feel it’s overpriced or unreliable.

My brother had a lot of fun on there 5DX racing game! We also didn't realize you can upgrade and personalize your car.

The card thingy machine is Brocken and I am in the settings and windows I very badly want to play :( I've try?d yelling at the ring camera for help but to no avail (Update, I've come back and played but to most misfortune as the wondrous prizes are placed outside of the claws reach leaving only meager lowly prizes truly devastating. It has also come to me having played these games that it be highly over priced and expensive, Heed my word and do not venture here [I really wanted that mini Aki Hayakawa :C])

Where do I start, so the tops of the games state 4 credits per play yet way down low where you swipe your card and can barley see it's actually 12 credits , I e mailed them and they agreed and gave me a 20$ card but yet to fix the issue , Then I won the cut the rope game and dropped a giant sonic the hedge hog but the prize door would not open i took pics and e mailed agian they responded saying how do we know you were the one to win it ? I said well here's the time and day I was there you can check the cam

I loved it here!!! The games are so much fun and so easy to win!!

Very deceptive business. I will not ever visit again. Games are pricey and prizes are not worth the amount you pay to play. Games say "play till you win" or "winner everytime", but this is not true. No customer service present, and no visible contact info, so you are stranded when you are deceived by what the games state.

I drove 45 minutes to visit this arcade with my son. When we arrived, there was nobody in the arcade, but all of the games were on. I went to buy a token card, and the software on the machine crashed. No big deal, I went to the other machine, but the same thing happened. I spent about 15 minutes trying to restart the software to try again, but it just kept happening. I called the only available phone number to see if somebody could help, but nobody picked up. I spent another 20 minutes trying to buy a ca

Great arcade with a fun mix of classic and new games. Clean space, friendly staff, and everything worked perfectly. Perfect stop at the mall!

Very clean and fun place!!

It's so fun and there's so many games to choose from

The soccer game not working to steal ours point . No contact no server work that.

Great place to come to, a bit expensive, fun though

Well lit and very clean. It costs $2 to get started which is a disappointment. Would recommend for corporate team builders or birthday parties.

I had a frustrating experience at this arcade. I put in $20 to get points to play on the machines, but I didn't receive any game points in return. It's really disappointing to lose money like that. There's no staff available to help out. I tried emailing, calling and contacting them through Facebook but no luck.I hope they can fix this issue so that others don't have the same experience.

Even without being given any money to spend in the arcade, it held my son's attention for a good long while

Not an arcade. A money pit with claw games and scams, no upside. Take out a $20 bill, light it on fire, and save the drive. You will have a better time.

Awesome! Kids love it here while I shop

Awesome place I like it the vibe is nice and the games are fun. Good place to come w friends or family

I like the games in here, it's a bit narrow through

Absolutely loved this arcade! It's packed with both classic games and the latest high-tech options, so there's something for everyone. The atmosphere is electric, and the vibe takes me right back to my childhood arcade days. The games are all in great condition, and they even have a prize counter with a ton of cool stuff. Staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was super clean and well-maintained. Perfect spot for a fun night out with friends or family. Highly recommend ? can't wait to go back!

Complete scam. Don't spend your money here. Machines are broken and when you go to claim your prizes it gives you errors and won't work. Tried calling the number listed to call disconnected Stay away from this place. Would give negative stars if possible.

This place is a scam. All the good reviews are fake because you get 5 dollars if you leave 5 stars. My daughter played with a claw machine that said 1 coin/credit on it, but I realized afterwards that the scanner of that same machine that stated 1 credit had 8 credits written on it. This is misleading and fraudulent.

really fun , has a cool variety of games

This is a fun place.. only down fall is there is no staff to assist incase the machines mess up..

The price machine got stuck and my son was disappointed that he never got his toy so 1125 tickets to waste

Awesome place for the kids

They need an employee in here in case stuff like this happens to the claw and there is no way of getting it. Overall great experience and would go again.

It is very fun and I enjoyed it I we do it again

My little boy love it had so much fun

I had an amazing time at Funtastic arcade! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the variety of games. There's something for everyone?classic pinball machines, and retro video games. The arcade is clean, well-maintained, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is energetic but not overwhelming, and I love how they have a great mix of solo and multiplayer games. Plus, the prize redemption area is top-notch, with tons of fun items to choose from. Whether you're a gamer or just

Still waiting for a reply on my email? Waiting for a refund or credits added to my card after I put in $60 cash and machine had an error!! *Edit* still haven't replied?.

Really fun place to be at their is many options to choice

Went to this place today. Such a cool space and includes many fun games to play.

Great place to hangout. While waiting! Lol

AWESOME AND SUPER FUN

Really cool place lots of different games in arcade games highly recommended

Really nice to have a fun option for kids while adults shop.

It said I'd get a free 5 dollar game card, but that was a scam.

Beautiful and fun place to relax while shopping at the mall.

Very cool arcade with lots of fun machines to play with

I see many of these reviews were solely because the individual wanted that $5 credit not because this arcade is a 5 star. I have been here and can say it's an ok place, but what I don't understand is the owner responding to reviews and leaving their business email, when in fact they do not respond to your email. I 1000% will no longer support this business, as they do not respond and do not care for their customers. They could easily make things right but choose not to. We are now out more than $50. Please

Nice and clean place for my kids

loved this place to play and have fun!

very fun super great experience

Not sure if there was a glitch, but we were being charged $3-5 per game; regardless of the game being played. Never been to an arcade that inflated the prices so highly for basic games. Edited review? I just seen other people complaining about being scammed. Multiple other people complaining of being charged $5 a game. When the machine states otherwise. I'll be calling to dispute. This is completely unacceptable. Also, don't pay attention to the good reviews . This place has stickers on the front door s

Love this place so many vending machines

Paid for a $45 game card for my son. Multiple games took $9 and $12 PER PLAY. One game took $12 and didn't even work. Complete rip off with broken games.

Very cool and fun place five stars

For one all these 5 star reviews are bought in exchange for a $5 game card. Notice how everyone leaving 5 stars doesn't leave an actual review? Was at the Woodburn arcade and the machine had a malfunction right after inserting cash. Emailed the business and no response, mind you I sent that email over a week and a half ago. Which speaks volumes about this owner and business. I will no longer support this business neither in Woodburn, Lincoln city or Eugene. ***Edit owner responded*** I will edit my review

So fun! Very nice ambiance.

Don't waste your money. No attendant and phone number to call with problems has no answer. Air hockey game has no puck but will take your credits. Claw machines will open before reaching prize shoot. Very frustrating and a waste of money.

Firstly, all these 5 star reviews are bought: if you leave them a 5 star review you're supposed to get a $5 credit. Illegal much? The claw machines keep getting more rigged so you can't actually win anything. The cost to play is waaaay too expensive for this tired mall arcade (their response to reviews saying this is to give them more money so games are cheaper lol nice try). Tried reaching out to Funtastic at the email they love to toss around with no response when I had an issue with my card not working (

Very awesome and very demure and very mindful place to be a chill guy playing at the arcade!

It's a scam. One of the worst arcades I've been to

Fun place wish they changed the price on games though

So I recently left a review about this place which led me to send an email to let them know about our experience we had in private they emailed back to my surprise in that email they asked me one question which I responded with information they asked for and yet they still haven't emailed back nor have they done what they said they where going to do. This place is a joke

My kid and I had a blast!

So many games. Nice and clean

Great games and lots of fun

Very fun to spend time with kids and family!!!!!

My kids love to play in here.

I went to the arcade today and I thought that it was pretty nice. There was no issues when I was playing dance dance revolution, had no issues buying their game card, and the place was clean. So if you like dance dance revolution then I recommend this place to anyone

Amazing and fun place!

I'm really surprised They have a good selection of arcade games, They have racing and motorcycle games.

Very nice and clean place.

REALLLY GOOOD GAMES HERE SHOULD BRING YOUR FAMILY WITH REALLY HUGE

Some games sometimes will take your credit and not let you play. But they offer $5 in card funds if yu leave a 5 star review

It was amazing as a teen ager it really make me feel like a little kid!

this place is straight HEAT?????? not only are the prizes fun, but this is the perfect type of atmosphere i want since it's still lowkey with people but also still busy enough to stay in the outlets. love love LOVE

The DDR machine is in good shape. It works as expected, so that is a plus! Unfortunately, the air hockey was a ripoff. It had no puck. We bought more credits to play it, and then discovered AFTER spending the money that we couldn't. Very frustrating. Several of the other machines would not scan our card properly and told us that we needed to buy more credits, even though we had more than enough. We just ended up using the last of the credits on basketball, because that machine actually worked. Would be ni

Such a nice surprise to find on a surprise trip to the mall

It's cool interesting fun little selections for at the mall but it's actually expensive for 10$ you have enough for either two games or one claw machine and one game and the claw machine is literally one attempt for 5$ worth of credits

Spent a good amount of money and the prize machine wouldn't work after we were done. No employees around.

I plan on visiting and I'm in my 70's!! I am A gamer!! I do believe you need ? person there to assist people, it leaves a better memory for most people.

Mostly prize machines. One of the few arcade games didn't work and the air hockey game was missing the puck. No employee on hand to help.

I want a free card pls :3

I love this place. It has all kinds of games, arcarde fun. I wish I had more to spend here. I would be here all day if I could. Definitely 5 stars

The prize machine ate our credits and didn't dispense the prize. There's no one who works there to help with opening the machine to grab it for us when this happens so it just felt like a waste of money:/

So fire love it here

I like playing the racing games they got

Rip off and scam. They double/triple charge per play. The game says 8 credits, but got charged 24. They don't have onsite attendant to help out. Credit card dispute is the right way to get the money back

Games were working when my kids asked to stop in and play. Got them a card and for 2 kids i only put $12 on it and they both got to play quite a bit. I gave 3 stars because theres no attendant.

I just want the $5 card so I'm leaving this review before I try the arcade.

Gave each of my children $1 to play a game. They had to get a card to play. The card cost $2. There was no way to play. There was no way to get a refund. There were no employees to help us.

very fun place to play

Despite the name being "Fantastic Arcade" doesn't quite live up to the hype. It's kind of weird that they decided to use a card reader system and raise the prices, yet didn't improve or make any real upgrades that would be worth the cost. Plus, the prize machine that came with the so call upgrade is always broken, which is annoying and honestly feels dishonest. What bugs me the most is that this place is meant for kids and teenagers, but it just doesn't compare to other spots like Wunderland. With its fair

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
