Had an amazing experience here. David is the best ?? I highly recommend it for travelers & and residents from close & far. Great prices ?? It's a very historic place (lots of arcade history) Spacious place in oakhurst three floors including a mini golf, bowling, and a bar.
This place is a slice out of time that's fun for everyone. I think we spent only like $60 for two of us and had lunch there (classic snack bar food), played games for hours, pinball, arcade, and ticket awarding games. I left with a new glass from the prize counter. While you can do pretty much everything with a card, bring a few dollars to donate to the arcade museum so they can continue the upkeep of hardware that is becoming more and more rare. Also bought a hoodie because they had them. This place is
Me and my boyfriend drive over 4 hours just to come here! We are big gamers and Funspot is the best arcade we have ever been too! They have amazing arcade games and AMAZING pinball machines, their food is yummy and everything is a pretty decent price! We love D.A long-tavern for a nice place to relax and have a good bev, Funspot is a #1 spot for us!
A walk in the past especially if you grew up in the 80s. Excellent place to bring the family and enjoy time together playing games. 10 pin and Candlepin Bowling (my favorite), indoor miniature golf and lots of video games / pinball machines. All responsibly priced and tons of fun.
Multiple generations of our family have gone here. Just took my niece from NC here last week, and she had the best time! The weekends and vacations can be crazy, but if you can go on a weekday you pet much have the place to yourself. We love going here for bowling as well!
I love this place especially the third floor. It's my 2nd time visiting here since a couple years ago as I live out of state. Only disappointed because afterburner wasn't working just like when I visited the first time and I was really looking forward to it especially since it's the sit down. I was really happy I got to play space harrier though it was incredibly fun! My only gripe is seeing more of the machines converted to LCD since my last visit. I know they dont make CRTs anymore but I can't imagine the
Beat place to be in the whole north east. Greatest arcade in all of America. I've been going here on and off since I was 10 and if I ever have kids I'll show them this place aswell.
If you're looking for family-friendly fun in Laconia, NH, Fun Spot is the place to be! Known as the world?s largest arcade, it's packed with retro games, mini-golf, bowling, and ticket games that?ll keep everyone entertained for hours. ?? Mini-Golf and Tons of Tokens We kicked off our visit with a round of mini-golf for three, and it was an awesome way to start the day. ? The course was fun, well-maintained, and challenging enough to keep things interesting. Perfect for families or groups looking to test t
People say that Disney is the happiest place on earth, but I would say that Funspot should have a place on that list. I have been going to Funspot since I was a kid and now I have the opportunity to share that joy with my son. Funspot has 3 floors of arcades. My particular favorite area is the vintage arcades on the top floor. With that said they really have something for all ages. From the vintage games and pinball machines, to the ticket games and kids rides. It really is a blast!
Best arcade in New Hampshire (so far ;) ). Pricing on games is very reasonable. Classic arcade games are still 25 cent. Tons of games to choose from. Staff is friendly and they take care of you if you lose a token or two to a machine. $20 - $40 can last a long time. Fries are good. My son is great at pole position so don't get your hopes up about beating the high score (:<
I was skeptical, but this place is the real deal. Tons of new and vintage arcade games. Surprisingly affordable, and very enjoyable for a few hours. Great for the kids, and definitely save a few tokens for yourself.
Pizza party to celebrate school ending and summer beginning. We love the arcade museum and the fun activities for the whole family. There's something here for every age!
This place is great. My children and I loved the mini golf and HUNDREDS of arcade games. It's a blast, very affordable, and well cared for. Highly recommend!
I brought my fifth grade class to Fun Spot for a Field Trip as a way to kick off our Pinball Physics Project. Our tour guide Zach was so knowledgeable and showed us inside several pinball machines. He explained and showed us how the machines work. He fielded the many questions my students asked. He was amazing! Our trip was filled with learning. If you are looking for a fun field trip with lots of educational opportunities, I highly recommend reaching out to Fun Spot. So great!
Still can be. Good time after all these years. Would be better if so many games weren't out of commission. Could use some updates. But there is a lot of variety and c an be a fun time. We had a n enjoyable one.
Unique place. Lots of machines to choose from and play. 3 floors of games to play from bowling, skee ball, pinball and arcade machines to putt putt golf. Be ready to lose a lot of time when you come here. Great place to bring the family and share a fun time!
Made my first-ever visit to Funspot on 11 July 2024. The place had been on my bucket list for years. When I got there, I was extremely disappointed to see a BUNCH of games inoperable, needing maintenance, or just swallowing tokens completely, with no gameplay. Most of the inoperable stuff was popular games I'd been looking forward to playing. The games that WERE working had screens that needed cap kits installed due to being too light, broken joysticks, sticky control panels. Just gross. Clean the place! Do
Amazing place to visit. Spent 2 days playing every arcade cabinet in the video game museum. Unfortunately about 10% of the games not working so hopefully thats being remedied. Excellent arcade games from 80s, games I've never played before, mixed in with the classics. Excellent pinball section downstairs. Full bar, full skeeball setup, mini golf, bowling lanes. Classic gaming installations set up around the arcade nice touch. An absolute must visit for arcade/gamer enthusiasts. Kreb Up Frag Out!
Kids had a ball, you name the activity they have it. The only recommendation is bring limited cash, it's like Vegas for Adults and kids. You feel lighter in the wallet. Actually I believe the games are manufactured in LV.
Classic arcade mixed with modern day fun. My mom went here back in the 60s/70s when it was first opened and enjoyed it on her family vacations and now I've had the chance to go with my children. It's definitely an experience to check out. Your best bet is to go on a good weather day, mid-week (when it's sunny out and not a Fri/Saturday). It does get quite busy on rainy days and weekends. They have multiple floors with different arcade machines. They are coin operated ($20 gets you about 3/4 cup of coins)
Amazing collection of all types of arcade games. There are thousands of games here. Most of them seem to be working although the older ones seem to be well work and often. It functioning properly. There is something for everyone. Everything is spread out over 3 different floors so explore. There are ticket games as well to earn prizes including ski ball! I didn't see any staff and the place is well worn.
I love Funspot, it feels like a special place that has everything an arcade could have. I especially like the old games and the American Classic Arcade Museum (ACAM). I last went on a Tuesday where it was very quiet but if you come on the weekends in the summer it gets very busy, so I would try and go in any of the off-peak times if you can. The value you get is much better than the mainstream arcades like Dave and Busters (not to mention better games here too). It's 50 tokens for 10 dollars, which is 20 c
It's an affordable, fun, and safe place for my family of 5 to go often! For $20 we can get 120 tokens. Many games take 1-2 tokens. The brand new Mario Kart game is 5 but SO totally worth it!!
They have more pin tables than ever before. Wide variety of pins. Your arcade dollars go a long way! You can easily spend 3 or 4 hours playing pins on $20 if that. Even longer if you and a friend double up on a table. Great fun and value!
Such a cool place to bring your family! Very nostalgic playing all the old arcade games and pinball machines. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. I like that they've made some of it more like a museum.
This arcade is absolutely incredible. Very affordable and you're guaranteed to have an amazing time! Worth the trip without a doubt. So much to do and upstairs feels very nostalgic and retro. There's 80s music playing as well. Which really helped to set the scene.
Have been coming here for years! Things are different and evolving but it still holds the nostalgia from my own younger years. Best place to go on a drizzling day! Staff are always polite and friendly
We visited on a Tuesday in August. It was very busy, so it was very loud and hot. We still had a good time playing skee-ball, pinball, and old arcade games. They also had indoor mini-golf that we didn't get around to.
We frequently go to Funspot throughout the year. $20 in tokens gets you so so much further here than any other arcade you'll find and the amount of different and unique arcade, pinball, slot machines and the little ride on cars makes it easy to spend hours there and never get bored. The pizza downstairs is great as well.
Really great place to kill a day. You get 110 tokens for 20 bucks. The place is huge. The employees were all very courteous young folks. Not just for kids, either. There are plenty of adult games, and they have a pub, too. I highly recommend it.
I had never been here but it's of course a bucket list trip for any gamer, or family looking to have a full day of fun. Alongside the large collection of arcade games, modern and old school. There are other things to do too, such as bowling and mini golf. I believe we spent 80$ on tokens, this lasted two of us about 6 hours of gameplay. And after hitting a few jackpots on some modern games we did leave with quite a few ?rewards? from the counter. Would definitely recommend this place ! It was awesome.
The retro gaming section alone was worth the 5 stars. The fact that these machines are this well maintained is insane. And the fact that all those machines only take one token is beyond a great deal. Having it only be one token is such a satisfying feeling since most places scam you with the amount of tokens required to actually play. My only criticism would be to look into making your merch more appealing. I would?ve loved to snag some stuff to further support you guys but the designs were just not that gr
Lots of fun here with my kids! Even had a birthday party for my kids upstairs. Good staff, decent food and lots & lots of games
Great place to go on a rainy day, & the space is huge! Although I will say my kids, husband, & I, felt like they could have more arcade games inside. Quite a few games were out of order too, unfortunately. The 3rd floor has all the old classic arcade games which is cool. They also have a bowling alley with small & big balls which is nice. & have a small indoor mini golf area, although we didn't do that since it wasn't very big & we went somewhere else for mini golf. Theres a place to eat inside by the bowli
Lots of games. Came here for a birthday party. Good time overall. Good selection. You will get lost. Giving 4 star because the mini golf isn't the greatest, and they had the nice pinball machines closed for a tournament.
Biggest arcade in the world. And they still do tickets. Been going here since I was a kid and while they've added more stuff they still have the same classic feel.
Not really too sure where to begin with this review. Let's just say this. What an absolute awesome place to spend some time. Kids and adults alike, will have more than enough to keep them busy. The biggest arcade in the country in only the beginning. There is an endless amount. A vast sea if you would.. of classic video games and pinball machines. All in fantastic shape and great working order. You'll be hard pressed to think of a game that they do not have. They also have alot of newer games with the new t
How the mighty have fallen those with kids won't notice much and I'm sure will have a good time here. The veterans who come here to try the retro games and pinball will be very disappointed I discovered this place early 00?s and it was magical arriving here for the first time. I've made many pilgrimages here over the years during summer and winter. Always a fabulous time. Unfortunately the owners have not Maintained the machines at all. Nearly every one had some kind of problem. Broken slots. Distorted
Most of the games I put tokens in didn't honor a play. At first I would go to an attendant when the game didn't credit my tokens but I would be chasing them down after almost every attempt of play. Although they were helpful I didn't want to do that all day. So I lost more than I played. PLEASE FIX YOUR GAMES AND STOP RIPPING OFF PEOPLE!!!
Got to give this place a 5 stars. Does it need some improvements? Sure but overall it's a freedom place through these crazy times. Some of you will get it and some of you won't. Got to love the fact tgat Guinness World Records?named?Funspot?the largest arcade in the world in 2008.?has miniature gulf and a bowling alley both big and small balls. No pun intended. Some of the games ate the tokens which was a little frustrating. Other then that. You will enjoy your time.
Always a trip down memory lane visiting here! Don't expect frills...just an old school hang out for games, bowling, arcade, etc. Great spot on a rainy day!
I've spent all my time at FunSpot at the arcade game collection upstairs. The collection is superb and playing these games on the original boxes is a wonderful experience. We've hours of sun and are hoping to come back many more times.
We went when it was insanely busy...like busier than even the locals have seen. With that said, it was such an impressive collection of arcade games and other things to do. We ordered a large cheese pizza on the 1st floor and it was very good and my daughter had a blast going on the bumper cars and doing the claw games!
Lots of fun games! Tokens cost a lot and prizes aren't amazing. But the games are fun to play and tickets are fun to win.
Funspot is so awesome and unique! Great place to take the family with lots to do with very reasonable pricing! I cashed in $20 and spent 4 hours playing the arcade games of my childhood and from video game history. Has hundreds of arcade cabinets and so many pinball tables. There's candlepin and 10 pin bowling there, a small pub for the adults, concessions, an indoor mini golf course and a bingo hall. Something for everyone with plenty of other activities to do in the surrounding towns
Love all the old games I can play from my childhood. This is a great family-friendly place for all ages. They still do tickets and tokens. Love the tavern area to get away from the kids and noise!
FUN!! So much to see and do. Went as a family to celebrate 2 birthdays...Grampa & Nana, our oldest daughter, youngest daughter & son in law & 2 granddaughters. Everyone had a great time!!!!
Place is a blast, fairly priced and has something for everyone. Museum is amazing for retro gamers and tons of other stuff for the kiddos. Free lockers were also definitely a plus. Can't wait to come back.
The place is in need of a proper deep clean. Half of the classic cabinets were out of order. The working cabinets required service and cleaning. The pinball machines needed to be cleaned. The HVAC system should be looked at. Within 15 minutes of being in there, my nose was running. The Mortal Kombat cabinets had been removed. I understand that it's January, however. The past few years I have gone to Funspot in January and things were better maintained. Disappointing.
This arcade was incredibly crowded, the staff was extremely demeaning and the general vibe unfriendly. Me and my children will NOT be returning, and I advise other families to do the same. My son was in tears after getting screamed at by a staff member! Compassion costs nothing. If the facility is so stressed they cannot handle kids they should reconsider their whole buissness model. Not worth the money or time.
Awesome arcade! Has literally everything there! You can get a lot for a decent price, also the atmosphere is very fun and clean. Definitely taking the trip back some day to play again
Great way to kill a few hours during a rainy day on the lake. Tons of games, mostly older - but tokens last a long time. So many people, but staff was helpful, and the place was clean. Old school games, most working, made for a fun afternoon.
Been here a couple times. Lots of games & fair prices on tokens / games. Spent $40 over 3 people splitting tokens. Bowling alley is fun too. Everything was clean. Some of the machines did eat our tokens. That was frustrating as its hard to find staff.
While on vacation my husband and I came two times & played 10 pin bowling, skee-ball, lots of retro video games including, Mario bros, Q-bert, Pole Position, Pac-man, Trivial Pursuit and many others. It was family friendly, indoor mini-golf was good & I highly recommend. Spent $20 on 120 tokens & most video games are 1 token. Good fun & not costly.
It's fun to visit once, but after that, you realize half the older machines are broken and rarely get fixed. They have a nice bowling center, and it's not too expensive of a place to visit.
I can die happy after experiencing Funspot.
Amazing and euphoric place to say the least. I went in with low expectations, thinking I'll get ripped off, but enjoy seeing "The World's Largest Arcade Collection"...Yet I was completely blown away, and left smiling like a gleeful 11 year old. The modern games that provide ticket rewards payout well, and there's nothing like holding a heavy stack of tickets. If those don't do it for you, the upstairs collection of classic 80s games is an absolute dream. The other reviews really weren't exaggerating about h
My son has a lot of fun here. Help can be difficult to find at times if a game breaks down but they are usually pretty good to fix them when they arrive.
Great place to take the kids and make memories! They have games for every age and some little coin operated rides for the little ones.
Unreal. Def a have to see to believe place. The old school arcade machines brought me back to my childhood and my daughter loved the newer games for tickets. Bowling, mini golf, this place is a must stop if you're in NH!
This place has been a family favorite for years. Fairly inexpensive for an arcade, makes a good activity for the day. The pizza place is a little pricey and the quality is a little iffy. They have a tavern that serves beer and cocktails, a bowling alley, bingo hall, mini golf, adventure course and of course more vintage arcade games than anywhere else in the world. A nice kiddy area with rides and games and a play area with slides and playhouses.
We went just for the American Classic Arcade Museum, the world record holder for the largest arcade in the world, at least in 2016 - fantastic. Reasonable prices and an amazing variety. It would have been nice to have seen some machines newer than ?87, and still old, but the ones they had were good nostalgia and were even very playable!
Always a great time here at the world's largest arcade. They also have a party area to celebrate your next big event. Register online. Games for all ages and stages in life.
My son won the 500 ticket Mega Prize in the Wheel of Fortune game today! Always a great time here! ?? This place is huge! 3 floors with a bowling alley, 18 hole mini golf, and over 600 video games, all indoors.
Took a drive up to the lakes region to celebrate my son?s 16th birthday at FunSpot. This place is a treasure trove of my era of arcade video games. GALAGA, Zaxxon, Gauntlet, Joust, Space Invaders, PACman, just to name a few. There's a wall of pinball machines and if you like pinball, seek out the Hercules pinball machine that has a cue ball for the ball, it's gigantic. Fun spot has been there for around 60 years or more and I hope it will be there for 60 more.
I visit this place every time I travel through New Hampshire. There is something for everyone and you could spend hours playing with just $20.00. It's the best for all ages.
Cool selection of vintage arcade games and a variety of newer games throughput each level. They have a good selection of pinball machines.
Great place for the whole family, mini golf, arcade games everywhere and bowling. Restraunt with pizza for the family and a pub with liquor for adults. Love the rows and rows of classic arcade games.
If you love arcade games it's a must visit. Having played quite a few elsewhere...the flippers on these pinball machines as well as the rest of the mechanics are in far better condition. Also get a deal on the tokens $20 is more then I could spend as a big fan of arcades. Place is littered with cool posters too. Serve beer down stairs.
Today's visit was a bit more disappointing then last year. Many ticket games were out of order. The prizes were lacking variety. Mini golf for $5 pp was a decent value. We wanted to bowl but we're out of $. $5 per string pp plus $4 for shoe rental. We didn't have any of their cooked food. Just a $2 fountain drink and a $2 snack bag of Lay's. Glad my tokens were 1/2 price from a radio discount. The old bumper cars are still the favorite for my 5 yr old granddaughter.
It really is the largest arcade in the world! Super large selections of games, from pinballs to pac man. Most games are using an average about 2 coins which is .50 cents. There is bowling alley as well on the lower floor. There is also a cafeteria inside by the tickets redemption. Indoor Mini Golf are also part of it. Across from Fun Spot there is a go kart place. Around the area there is a really nice lake area called Weirs Beach. Drive In theatre are also nearby.
A favourite of my daughter and I. We both like the vintage video games (if I have 1 gripe it's where's the Golden Axe?) and my daughter is determined to save up enough tickets for a prize.
Funspot really IS a fun spot. There are games that adults and children both fun enjoyable. They have a great bowling alley, bar, concession area and mini golf. I've also hosted my son's Birthday parties there two years in a row and they are wonderful hosts! The only downfall is some of the games are older and will either be out of order or take your tokens and don't let you play.
Enter the hallowed halls of glittering CRT screens, analog sound effects, and tactile inputs! Kneel before the sacred grounds of high score history. Dedicated yourself to an olde machine or two and unlock its subtle pixelated secrets. Keep the arcade conquest alive.
Rainy day fun for kids of all ages (and kids at heart). Very loud so it took some time for my 5 year old to get used to it, he was excited to find the original pac man upstairs in a quiet spot. My 17 yr old got his tokens and took off with my husband and I didn't see them again until they were hungry lol food is expensive for what it is but hey, it's the experience right? Prizes leave a lot to be desired, you need to spend a fortune or be really lucky. We had a lot of fun either way and it took up a good am
Very fun it's the biggest arcade in the world to my knowledge with hundreds of arcade cabinets. Never a dull moment in this place and the prizes were awesome when we went.
Huge amount of games and reasonably priced for a couple hours of fun! Great for a rainy day if vacationing in the area.
Had a good time with the family, place was full of games. I was a little iffy at first since most arcades have a bunch of inoperable machines, there were a few out of order but 90% of them were up and running. The coin dispenser also takes debit/credit but at a minimum of $20. We were there for almost 2 hours on $20 and got to try a majority of the games. Prizes could be better but children will be fine with it. Overall it was a great experience and will definitely comeback again in the future
This place is fantastic. I have three kids, a 10yo, 6yo, and a 4yo and they all absolutely had a blast. My wife and I also had a great time especially with the nostalgic games upstairs. There are literally hundreds of games, of every imaginable format and difficulty level. We also loved the candle pin bowling which was new for all of us. We actually ran out of time so we didn't get to try the indoor mini golf, but it looked pretty interesting. Pricing was about what you would expect for a tourist attracti
An amazing collection of playable vintage arcade games. Huge selection of games from many eras. If you love video games, this is a great place to visit. I played all my childhood favorites!
Worlds Largest Arcade!! Not much more need be said after that, except this place also has bowling, a pub with a good selection of draft beer, and decent pizza... Alao has miniature golf and bumper cars for smaller children ??
It's all in the name: fun spot is THE spot for fun. One of the biggest arcades I've ever seen (the small ones are still plenty of fun). You can definitely spend hours here - the selection of games and bowling alley are very nostalgic, as is the dated interior. Don't even get me started on the cash bingo.. what a hoot!
Blast from the past ?? adults can play, kids have fun? they have good ol? tickets versus game cards! Recommend on a weekday with less people
Plenty of things to do. Bowling, indoor mini-golf, and of course video games from all decades. Surprisingly inexpensive as well.
We love this place. It's so nostalgic! I love that they still use the tokens and tickets, the visual is so helpful for my kids. Everyone?s nice!
Funspot is always a hit for me and my son. I love the classic arcade machines, he enjoys the ticket machines, and we both like mini golf. The tavern serves good drinks and their bar pie is pretty good! There's something for everyone here (oh yes, bowling too). What keeps it from five stars is that the place is in major need of rehab, and management seems to be satisfied with the status quo as nothing has changed in years. For example, there's no one to help on the classic arcade floor if you have an issue
Our half way spot to stop between Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical and Conway. My son loves it.
Huge arcade with a mix of vintage and newer games. Fun for all ages and allows people to relive their childhood!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
