Fun World Arcade

Fun World Arcade

Reviews Summary

The arcade generally receives positive feedback for its variety of games, fair pricing, and family-friendly atmosphere. Many appreciate the modern card system for convenience, though some find it confusing. Classic and newer games are praised, but broken machines and lack of pinball options disappoint some. Staff are mostly helpful, though a few report poor service. Cleanliness is noted, but the absence of bathrooms is a common complaint. While most enjoy the experience, a few criticize ticket redemption values and rigged crane games. Overall, it's considered a fun destination with room for minor improvements.

Medium sized arcade that has all the usual games that you'd find at every other vacation area arcade. Most games were 50? or $1 to play, and I felt as if the machines were set to give out fewer tickets than most other arcades I've played in. There is also another arcade at the end of the block that we will try next time.

Stopped on our way as we walking through the town. We really enjoyed our time. Also some prizes were lake George souvenirs which is a great idea. Also, one of the workers dog was there and was so sweet!! Would definitely recommend!

Favorite arcade in lake George! I'm not a game player but I spend some dollars in this place, never get rid of the wizards of oz Coin pusher I play it for hours I finally got all the cards there is never a towdow? card to get so I save my cards between lake George trips

During the off season, I came here. But I do wish it was open longer. It was only open from 3p-6p. It's a decent size arcade with redemption games, air hockey, guitar hero, speedball ect. type boardwalk games. Can't spend a very long time here but it will entertain people who like to play games. Like other arcade games, all your credits and tickets are on an arcade card you purchase.

Went up for a week and found this nice arcade was able to spend tons of time here with ny kid and all the machines were definitely decently priced per play was well worth the stop in here they are pretty modern with the cards that you charge to play games and keep track of your tickets they even have a section of retro games and pinball machines was well worth the money spent in here

It's a fun spot to take the family. The arcade uses cards for tokens so everything was fast. No worries about tokens to hold.

Fun place and glad to see arcades haven't died out. You'll get bonus credits the more money you apply to the card, that's required to play games. There is also a decent balance of arcade and ticket games so there is something for everyone.

Want to feel like a kid again make sure you go in here they've got some of the old time games and they've got new games what a great amount of fun especially if you have kids

Arcades are a dying thing. This one is fun. It's not huge, but not tiny either. Prices are pretty good. Decent variety of games. Not too many out of order when I was there. There's an ok amount of prizes to choose from for tickets if that's your thing too. During tourist season, these places can be packed though.

We had a good time playing the guitar game and the swinging clown too...

Workers are nice and u get more tickets than other places so it feels more fun ?? No restrooms inside have to go across a street or pee in your pants LOL Enjoyed our time here just feels more fun than the arcade back in the hometown that hardly gives any tickets ??

Had a fun time at Fun World. I got a tip from one of my friends to check it out and I was not disappointed. The games were decently priced, and it was very convenient having everything on the Game Card (something you don't see too often at beach/lake arcades). In all honesty, what made the trip great was the employees. My sister and I had a great conversation with one of them and they were very helpful. I hope to return on our next visit to NY!

Brings back memories of my own childhood! The kids had so much fun playing the games and running through the lazer maze. Different games, but same fun!

Been coming here since I was a kid (almost 40 years) all the machines are card operated now. You can actually get stuff in the claw machines, which is nice, but they take a lot of credits. Jackpots are also attainable, my husband hit it 3 times with the test your strength machine. Disappointed though that the pin ball machines didn't work, that's the only thing my dad ever plays. FYI no public restrooms

Great place to spend time with family and play games together. However, a handful of games were broken/unavailable. It's also hard to rack up a lot of tickets if you have plans on getting a good prize from the prize counter. The thing I liked the most are the game cards. All the tickets you earn go onto the gaming card and you don't have to worry about lugging anything around.

This place is clean and bright and spacious- if you've been to arcades recently you know this is a big deal. The photo booth is so fun! Prices seemed reasonable as well. I would bring my nephews here for an afternoon of fun!

I think we spent almost 3 or more hours in this place. It has games for everyone from 4 years to 35 years. My daughter really loved it, and she in fact defeated the boss a couple of times when playing the car racing game. Basketball, Air Hockey, Car Racing etc. are some of the games available to pass some time. It was fun.

I like the variety of games here, a lot of fun.

Little expensive, prizes are awful!!!! Miss it when they did quarters. ?? I'm highly disappointed that they're closed on Wednesdays, I'm often up there on Wednesdays (well sometimes) and now I can't even go. I say close on a Monday and keep Wednesday open 11-6!!!!

Fun but half the games are down and some of the grabber machines seem like they never pick up the prize.

Great environment for the family. There are games there to play as a family. We are a family of 4 and we played Mario together. It was awesome! I loved the fact that all of our wins are on a card. It was easy to redeem. I would Definitely visit this arcade again.

Not many games, most of them not working but still a cute exciting place for kids. What makes me give this place 1 star is because of the ZERO customer service, the young girl and one older woman were too busy going outside to smoke cigarettes rather than attend to customers trying to reload our cards , and our eager children ready to claim their prizes for the points they earned! Management needs to hire child friendly warm people to work here not scary miserable looking workers!

Listen. The owner just upgraded this entire place and it's amazing. If anyone out there is following my reviews you know I travel a lot. This is now the best arcade in the north east. Well done. The other arcades in the area are now forced to up their game.

Brought my husband to this arcade and he loved it.. brought back great memories from his childhood

Fun for the whole family, a game for everyone and Ioved that there were many prizes to choose from. They scan each prize your child picks onto a computer screen keeping accurate record of how many tickets remain. We loved that!!! Facility was very clean and efficiently run!

Decent games but easily a super spreader event. No disinfecting of ANYTHING. I'm vaccinated but there were so many small children without masks I'm afraid our infection numbers will be up this Autumn.

I grew up going to the arcade up the street from this one, but my kids always wanted to go to Fun World instead. This has become our new arcade...We love it and it's 1980s vibe. Sure some games are out of service and other games are priced too high...but $20 buys plenty of play time and tickets for my 8 and 9 yr old daughters. The guys at the ticket counter always throw in an extra piece of candy or too as well. Fun World is our place to go.

My boyfriend took me here and we ended up "playing" the virtual roller coaster rides (the machine has 3 different rides). Each rider (it's a 2 seater) wears a provided headset that is hanging from above the seats. You must manually adjust the headset to fit snuggly over your eyes with Velcro straps. Also provided are disposable liners to put on over/around your eyes, where the headset rests on your face. But it was not very user friendly and there was no one to walk you through it, without grabbing someone

I'm not sure if the carousels are associated with this arcade, but I've taken my kids on many carousels and have yet to be charged to go on it to make sure my kids are safe a 4yo and a 2yo. It's not about the money but more about the decency of a business to charge for standing on a spinning floor to make sure your kid doesn't get hurt. On top of that to get the tickets I didnt see any notification of letting us know that the machine will not give change. So if you put in a $10 or a $20 dollar it would gi

We recently visited lake George and this arcade was a perfect heaven for the kids. There are some great games to pick abd play. We adults loved the VR console a LOT and it was a great way to unwind after a day of adventure in the hot sun!

This place used to be the best arcade in the entire world, but it has been modernized. No more tickets, everything is cards and digital. Most games are 4 credits, which mean a dollar a play. You do not win very many tickets so 9,000 ticket prizes are for someone spending a ton of money. Sad to see such a wonderful place lose its luster.

It's been about 10 years since I've been here. We used to come every summer with my family. Most of the older games have been swapped out (or left broken and in decay on the floor) for newer, high-tech games to please to newer generation. I miss the classic experience of having actual tickets fly out of the machines and taking forever watching the ticket eating counter chew up all the tickets and give you your total. Overall a nice throwback to my childhood and maybe I'm just wishing that more of the nost

Been here many times in my trips to lake George. The plus is they added many newer machines, which was a welcome sight. Variety as well was decent. However, my issue was not directly related to the video games. Although a few were broken. What gets me, is places still don't have a basic bathroom. The idea is to keep people in your place, not force them to leave. Once they leave, so does their money. Anyway, one night a bit later I just needed to take a leak. I was advised to go across the street, everyone w

Complete ripoff. They can't wait for you to overpay for every attraction inside, have rigged most of the machines to take many many more dollars than attractions equivalent elsewhere. Mom's who even ask for a break for a toddler get rejected and refused consideration. Stay away! Go to the arcade across the street next to the rides.

Funworld is a little lake George gem that has improved greatly since I last saw it. They have every game you could want and some you didn't even think you wanted. Since being taken under by new ownership they've done amazing things, and this is by far my new favorite arcade in the area.

lots of fun games & easy to use card system for $$. even though the power had just gone out during a storm, we were able to play most of the games. Fun spot!

Pretty cool Arcade, plenty of games

Quite clean; new games; less breakdowns; $25.00 card gives you an extra $5.00 free. Worth the fun and laughs w.my nine year old granddaughter. Two guys behind the counter...God bless 'em.

Laser maze is a blast! Lots of games to choose from I definitely found myself spending a lot more money there than I should have. If you're trying to get lots of tickets the Elvis game is the way to go if you know how to play those coin pusher games. Prize selection is great they even have an ounce of silver which is questionable but there are also actual lake George souvenirs like mugs, backpacks and shot glasses. It gets packed in the afternoon but it's open way late with the bars so It is a great stop th

Great arcade with a mix of classic games and prize games. There are also many games where you can earn tickets for prizes. All machines use a card that you can load up credits. The card also keeps track of your tickets won on each game. Very convenient!

Place is modern and very pleasing. Card ticket/credit system is great. Many of the games are cheap per credit making them feel enjoyable to play.

Love coming here always a staple of our Lake George visit. I personally don't care for the newer look. I find it very dark and drab in there, but I also grew up with it looking the old way. The new playing card system was a pretty good idea. The only thing I really wish is that they would work on getting better prizes. Honestly the prizes weren't very good this year. I think offering to cash in points for gift certificates to local businesses might be one good idea. Like maybe certificates to Martha's, a ga

Been going to this arcade for 30 years with my family. It's a great arcade, and it is also the beat arcade in town. My problem is because I'm an avid pinball fan. As is most of my family. Which why we were greatly saddened when we came up one year to find out that they ditched all their pinball machines. They went from 8 machines to 2 machines. If you dont care about pinball then this is a great arcade for kids to earn tickets and play fun games.

Very fun small arcade I set 7 highscores

A little pricey and a lot of the games cost too many points to play. Most of the games worked well. Had one machine eat out money but the staff gave it back to us. Prizes were ordinary not to exciting for a 9 year old.

Plenty of different fun games and for us especially skee ball

Games are fun. Seem to be updated with newer games, (not that I would know) but the prizes have drastically gone down hill. I've spent a ton of money in there, but nothing to spend tickets on.

My family and I are all grown ups now, but we love a good/cheap arcade! This was exactly that...we spent $10 = 40 credits and played air hockey, nascar, snowmobile, pirate shootout etc etc. It was well worth it...cheaper than Fun Fuzion in Westchester County.

Most games $0.50-$2.00 per game. Pretty decent selection. You can actually redeem tickets from the back of the place. They give you a card to reload, etc.

The arcade is a dying in America. So places like Fun World feel extra special. There are games for everyone. My 3 year old and I spent $5 and got two hours of entertainment, that's awesome.

I take my daughter here all the time. I love how the games arent priced insane. And OMG the variety! We're talking Halo, Jurassic park, guitar hero, MARIOKART for christ sake, even the OG mario game!!!! I could go on and on but you gotta see it for yourself. Oh did I mention Rabbids in freakin VR

They tuck the prizes so deep in the claw machines, you'll never win. Biggest waste of time and money. The two men behind the prize counter gave me excuses and laid the blame on the "maintenance" man when I confronted them on it. I've been to enough arcades to know when machines are rigged, too. These are. Visitors must know or have been dissuaded away from here because the place was empty. Any other arcade on the block is better. They should be ashamed of themselves for putting their own needs before childr

Cool arcade with cool prizes. I played there yesterday. However, when I played the QuikDrop game in here, it said I catched 3 balls (which would give me 10 tickets) when I actually catched more than 40 balls (meaning that I should've gotten 40 or 50 tickets).

My FAVORITE arcade in the world! New and old school games, skee ball, cool ticket prizes to win, too much to list!! I've been going here my entire life. And Lake George has several arcades too, but nothing compares to Fun World!! Extreme type modern games to pac man, pinball to a cool laser area. You could spend hours in here!!!

This place blows. Today a man working there yelled at me and was very aggressive and rude too me. Do not recommend. They will take your money. The man yelled at me because I miss read the card reloader and it took my money and he didn't give me my money back. Never again they will take your money

As arcades go this one is clean modern and not overly expensive. Plenty of room and games for all ages. Good times had and will be back again.

Fun little arcade, great selection of games for the kids. Had a blast, it's a great place to spend some time off the lake.

A must go when visiting lake George with kids. There are so many options to play, & for all ages. Very clean, and neat. The kids had a blast here

We had a blast here. Prices were not terrible and the place was clean. Great fun; will def go back again!

Fun and affordable games with a good variety of prizes. More than a few were out of order, but there were still plenty to play.

I have been coming here year after year after year and I will continue. I love the games I love the people I love the fun vibe this is very relaxed and laid back definitely a good time

Hours say 1PM - 7PM. Came by a little after 4PM was closed. Thought maybe they were on break. Standing outside at 5:30PM still closed. What are the real hours of operation!? What an ENORMOUS inconvenience!!

Love, love, love coming here! The kids always have a blast, the prices are fair for tickets, and the prizes are great for the kiddos. Plus they open at 9am!!!

Wonderful place to play some arcade games! Opens nice and early. Spent an hour here and I had so much fun.

A very different Arcade from most, but it is a not a bad difference. Only problem is not a lot of parking space so you have to drive around to find a parking space, that might be far from the arcade. Apart from that it is a very good arcade.

Went here in January (off season for tourists) and had so much fun. Definitely a great stop in Lake George!

The New Card system is horrible and extremely confusing. I asked 2 employees how to get a card and they were absolutely no help, so my family just left and spent freely at the other arcade.

Good deal if you buy $50. You get $15. Extra. The only problem today is they had a lot of machines down.

Fun place right in the heart of the town. Lots of games and it was fun to stop in on our vacation.

We always have a great time here. Connect 4 basketball is one of our new favorites.

Great fun. Well stocked with lots of games ranging from Skee Ball to modern rail shooters like Halo: Fire Team Raven.

I love this place very friendly staff and helpful. Love the games. Only with the clown game had a few more balls to play.

So fun! We all loved the game variety and prize selection

Quite different from the arcades in Lake George when I was growing up. Friendly staff, fun games.

Great, clean and fun arcade. $25 for $30 worth of tokens. They have skeeball, pinball, claw machines, some lazer game, etc.

Nice arcade. However, it would be great if half the games weren't unavailable

All was fun, but the crane machines CLEARLY ARE RIGGED, I UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF MAKING MONEY, BUT THOSE CLAWS ARE SO LOOSE AND OBVIOUSLY PLACED THIS WAY, EVEN CASHIER AGREED

It was fun for the children with all the different games they had. We will go back!

Unfortunately there are no good arcades to compete. It's a way better value than the chains even though you need to use a card here too.

Not crazy about most of the new games, too short and not much skill to them. Most are to win tickets.

Super fun! Unfortunate that roughly one third of the machines were out of order.

A little more than typical arcade place, have some 80's games, ski ball, air hockey and photo booth. Fun for kiddo's and adults.

We had a fun time playing games on a rainy day.

Pretty standard fare for an arcade nowadays. Love the skeeball and big pacman games in particular.

It's a little arcade, theres more teenagers and adults than little ones ??, no public bathroom. Staff is nice, the place is clean

Had way too much fun as an adult here. Ended up spending 60 dollars. Best decision ever.

Awesome place My son 4 years old loved it!!! And non of NY area are good as this one

Fun arcade, lots of games. No coins or quarters here, you add money to a card and swipe to play, also tickets are added to your card as well.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
