Fun Factory (formerly Wheels of Wonder)

Reviews Summary

The Fun Factory receives mixed reviews, with praise for its family-friendly atmosphere, affordable pricing, and some friendly staff, particularly during well-organized birthday parties. However, many criticize poor management, unprofessional or indifferent employees, outdated facilities, and safety concerns due to lack of supervision. Issues like overcharging, dirty conditions, and broken equipment frequently appear. While some visitors enjoy the skating and arcade options, others find the experience disappointing due to disorganization and subpar service. High prices for extras like skate rentals and party packages also draw complaints. Overall, it’s seen as a decent but inconsistent venue needing better upkeep and staff training.

Lots of fun for kids to burn off energy and have a great time. They have vending machines, a small arcade, food and drinks. There's plenty of seating and tables. They have lockers for personal belongings. You can rent a skate aid and skates as well. If you have your own gear they let you use it.

Great facility, arcade and skating. Not too crowded on a weekday. DJ was popping. Will definitely come back. Only recommendation I have is to increase options for private rentals, we ended up booking our large party with another venue because Fun Factory like to keep hours for public skating. Totally understand their reasoning but would have liked to hire the place on a Sunday evening.

I have not been to a skating rink since I was 25. It was great. The place was clean, the guys were friendly. We had a birthday party for one of the guys. There were 6 kids. The three, 6 and teenagers plus adults loved it! ?? we can bring cake in but not food or drinks because they sell it. They have safety bars you can hang on to while skating for children and adults! Last hour and half the seasoned skating pros come in and it's great to watch! Btw?our Groupon tickets offered 4 with one free pitcher and $10

Excellent experience for a midweek birthday party! Not too crowded, and our host was so sweet. She went above and beyond for us, pizza was continuously coming, drinks refilled without even asking! The pizza is delicious, made from scratch. They played a special request song for our little one, and the atmosphere was so nice. We'll definitely be back for more parties!

This place was MORBIDLY trifling! I went there for our 8th grade field trip and let me tell you the pizza tasted like cardboard frozen pizza, the staff was lazy and forgot our food and said they don't do refunds and you can obviously tell they don't do refunds because of how tiny and trashy that place is. I'm glade they kept the money. They were a family of spiders in the party room. I'm so glad when we left, they didn't even have AC IN THERE so everyone was very hot and the slushys were watery and when I a

This place is TERRIBLE. I went here on a field trip and they were so understaffed. And I'm pretty sure the air conditioning doesn't work. Everywhere I look there are people sweating so hard their clothes are wet. Since I'm hot I tried to go get some water but they only had like 3 employees so everyone was just crowding around the concession stand. All I wanted was water. And the music was horrendous. It was either cringy or just inappropriate. The one good thing about this place was the fact they played Cha

Thank you Fun factory for your patience with me. I arrived thinking I could just show my Groupon but for some reason it wouldn't show up and instead of having me sit there to find it, which took about 45 minutes she went ahead and gave me what was on the Groupon so the kids could get started skating I finally found it. It was in my other email not the one I thought I used, thank you so much. This was a great experience for them and they just really had a ball skating falling and getting back up doing it aga

This is the 2nd year in a row we have had my daughter's bday party there. I really have no complaints.

Tuesday nights are a great deal! Don't expect to have too much fun on the arcade games. But the skating is always fun! Just wish the big kids would look out for the little kids a little bit more

Best deals on wheels if you have youngsters who like to skate! We live here, we'll not me but the kiddos! Food is ok, games are dated but a distraction for the littles, the music varies by sessions but it's never rated R. And they have newer skates!! They are UGLY but they roll! ??????????????

I recently visited Fun Factory Skating with my grandkids and was disappointed with the experience. We waited in line outside for an extended period before entering, suggesting a need for a more efficient system. Upon entering, I encountered another lengthy line while attempting to procure a skating aid for the children. Unfortunately, the staff member in the giving out the skates in skating area exhibited a horrible attitude, detracting from our experience. The presence of a sheriff on site seemed incongruo

A lot of fun for a weekday! Found great deal on Groupon too! Pizza was delicious and not like some frozen food. Pitcher of soda was about $7 but included free refills. Bathrooms were clean too!

I cannot say enough good things about the Fun Factory! We threw a surprise 30th birthday party here and they did an incredible job! The price was extremely reasonable and included a lot (50 guests, all you can eat pizza and drinks, a bounce house, dj and glow party). The management was beyond awesome and helpful throughout the party and even the days before. We were able to drop off decorations and the Fun Factory decorated for us beautifully! The pizza was fresh and delicious and the staff was continually

On Sundays they offer a deal that gets in, skates, and all you can eat pizza and drinks. My kids have a blast every single time we're there. It's not always the cleanest though

Found a good deal on Groupon which made it less expensive than other skating places in the area. They had nice skates and the roller surface is in good shape. The building is dated but excellent value and good skating.

The floor is disgusting and covered with debris and gum all over it with chunks out of it and it's bumpy to skate on ! My new $200 dollar wheels came out black ! No supervision of kids just skating all over the place ! No skate guards at all!

Our family hosted our daughter?s birthday at Fun Factory last year. We had a blast! We felt like we had gotten our money?s worth. I recently went, and the floor was a little rough compared to other skating places around town, but that may have been because they had just changed some details about the seating and the skating floor. It is now easier for beginners to get off and on the skating area, and they have put up more fun lights that react to the music played.

Had fun but fell and broke my wrist . Hadn't been on skates in years. I'd say that's my last time. Oh and the floor had several glitches across the entire rink.

Kids had a great time. Housekeeping could use some attention saw an old pretzel machine looks like it's been in storage for years.Off in a corner still has pretzels in it

You skate and you skate. Bring your own skates so it's not as expensive. They have lots of good choices. They have. Lockers. Skate rental. Frames to hold onto and skate are for rental too. I wish those were free but they make you pay for everything here!! Also there is a movie theatre across the way. It's an imax so you could skate then go on a date to the movies! One location. The best. Not the fanciest but I'm glad the price was reasonable. Eso if you bring your own skates. Everyone here was cool no probl

We went to a birthday party yesterday and it was awesome, it's very low key, & it was not packed! The music ?? choice was great mixed with r & b/ pop! The pizza.....get this, was great, and it takes me a lot to say that! We had lot's of fun!

We love coming here but man, this place could use some cleaning and upkeep. But other than that the prices are great, the kids love it, and they hire the youth which is also great.

Decided to take my son and his two friends up to their 6.75$ admission day with the free pizza only to realize they charged my card 65$ for four people? Just be careful when you're checking out. Definitely a sketchy charge. That's equivalent to a little over 16$ per person.

Incredibly crowded around 3pm-4pm on Saturday as there were at least 3 birthday parties with small children (ages 5-10) happening. The music played was good, generally recent pop with some Disney and older hits mixed it. Shoes were a bit clunky, esp as one of my friends got two shoes that weren't the same set ??. Pizza there was surprisingly good. We ordered an XL pepperoni thin crust and they had it ready in 15-20min. Drinks are overpriced, but that shouldn't be surprising ($3 for small, limited Pepsi pro

They take Groupon! It's a nice place. The staff is nice. I have never purchased food or drinks here.

We were there for a school skating party thinking it was just our school, but it was obviously more than just our school. They were overwhelmed and understaffed. It was a 6pm-8pm skate and at 7pm parents were STILL lined out the door trying to pay to get in. Things were just slow moving and it was chaos. The kids still had fun, but they were running each other over and bumping into each other. It was very claustrophobic.

We went for a birthday party. The staff wasn't very attentive. The skating on the other hand was pretty nice. The kids enjoyed that.

Had A Birthday Party For Our Granddaughter From 12-2 Today Paid $500 For Her Party The Promises They Made Were Broken There Was No Dj Present She Did Not Get To Spin The Birthday Wheel No Birthday Song Brought Out 2 Pizzas That Were Not Done Will Not Go Back Nor Recommend Anyone Have A Birthday Party There .

This facility has the potential to be great with better leadership/ownership, however currently it is hard to recommend to anyone. The biggest issue we have is that it seems to be a free for all with no rules. Nobody is out on the floor enforcing any kind of rules. People skating in the wrong direction causes lots of accidents. People hanging on the corners of the rink trying to trip people while they go around. It's sad to see because it seems like at least in the past it was a great facility. The actual r

The whole place smelled terrible. (To be expected) but my skates were in terrible shape and parts were broken. The seats and tables were dirty and the lockers were broken.

Kid friendly staff. Nice colourful, party atmosphere. Several parties can go at the same time. If you don't skate much the skate rental is fine but if you have your own I would bring them. They also have plenty of supports for those not confident on skates.

Great place to take the kids. The staff could be a little more organized but we all had fun

I went to the fun factory November 9th for my daughter?s birthday party in which I had an issue with them calling me the day before telling me that they double booked me and another party for the same room. They told me I had to downgrade my package and I didn't have a choice because it was the day before the party. I get there on Saturday and my host only came to bring the pizza and the first round of drinks. I kept having to remind her the things that were included in my package and she was barely around.

Wild West in here! With pretty much 0 rules. They charge for skate mates, but they are not monitored so most of the kids have no bands and will snag any up if you even leave them at your table to use the bathroom. People skating holding infants, adults speed walking the rink like it's the mall in shoes. Most the rental skate are trash Candy wrappers and other trash on the rink, which is not safe. Older kids flying around with no disregard for others and there are NO RINK GAURDS/monitors skating around

Not sure if I'll return just yet...1st time at this rink and the place looked like they NEVER clean and SOME of staff seemed pretty annoyed just to help you

Took my daughters and a few of her friends for her birthday, I used a Groupon that was $32 for 4 to skate with skate rental a $10 arcade card, a pitcher of soda. It saved me a ton of $$!! And the people working were very friendly!

This place has gone way downhill. Total lack of concern and control by the employees. From kids skating the wrong direction and knocking people over, to a kid pushing a baby stroller on the rink, to kids just playing on the skate buddies. Nobody said anything to any of them. What the hell happened here? We went here for my son's first school skating party last night. They were way understaffed for the amount of people that were here. They have an unlimited pizza offer which is fine, but we wasted 30

I go here all the time I'm friends with the workers and some people is see are saying it's wrong for people in strollers and wheelchair to be on there and there not managing right but I see it as there trying to make it fun and acceptable for everyone and there skates work fine once u get use to them and they fixed a lot of stuff 10/10

I am so glad that they changed owners! This is a much better place to go with your family, we had a blast. Anytime you need help, the staff was right there!!! Now the music could definitely need some love, like some 90s jams but it was great!

I went there January 10th and the staff are rude and pizza made me and my friend have Diarrhea and throw up!

The place was great a nice open skate floor free pizza on Sunday the only down side is yes the shoes are old and need to be replaced but all in all not to bad to go to it seems like more people are complaining about small things than anything bigger the staff was nice and friendly I took me and my family there yesterday. Plus if the manager is reading this please duly note that yes the skates do need more padding at the bottom to feel better and the holders you use to keep yourself stable if your new does n

My daughter went on a trip with her school to this place today. I gave her $20 dollars to spend when she got home I asked her what she bought and she told me that only two slushies and each one cost $3.50 so it was $7.63 for two with the tax included and they only returned $8.75 because she said that the cashier told her that she didn't have enough change to give her back. It seems so unethical to me that they take advantage of children?s like this. hope they take action on this matter and train their empl

We just got back home after having our son's 10th birthday party here at the Fun Factory. Every staff member was polite and professional and, while it was a bit warm in the building, everyone in our party had a great time and that's all that really matters. Thank you all for a great 10th birthday party!

My son had a birthday party at fun factory yesterday. He had a blast, but NEVER again. Our party host was the only one covering all of the birthday parties. She was nice but was uninformed on what party package I chose and was pretty sporadic when she actually showed up to help host (I get it she was busy). It was 90 degrees the day of the party and it was cooler outside than it was at the party area and skating rink. The only air conditoned areas were oddly enough by the food area, the game area, and restr

Went for school night. Band with all you can eat pizza, admission, rental and small drink is over priced. If pay regular admission and get a pizza combo with drink its $2 less. Womens restroom had a sink that didn't work. Social distance is not done here.

Fantastic place for the kids. The unlimited pizza and skating deal is worth it!

Great time granddaughters birthday.Never to old to skate.Came back won't be back 2 yes later it is BAD.Kids run the place no one knows anything only came for another party but WILL BE LAST.BATHROOMS BAD TOO.

I went here for a birthday party over the weekend and let me tell you this place is trash now days. They need the buy new skates. The laces didn't even feed through, the insides of the skates were wet. My brothers skates didn't even had both brake pads (very dangerous). The staff is pretty much all kids that are clueless of what is going on. We ordered a pizza and they told us they forgot about it told over 30 min just to receive. Will never return to this place again.

I like this skating rink, but y?all can play better music then what yall be playing like more like hiphop.??

I had a field trip to the Fun Factory to find the condition of the skates horrible. When I first came in I saw that the prizes weren't even fair it just seemed like typical arcade game prizes and nothing new. Including an inflatable hammer that says ?BANG? and some other small souvenirs. Some of the skate?s wheels were worn off and barely moved that they weren't working properly. The skates are in terrible condition and there should be better arcade game options. I came to find that some of the arcade games

We had alot of fun for a skating party for my son. Lots of places to sit down around rink. Pretty cheap for the time we were there.

I just had a birthday party for my son @ Fun Factory and I would absolutely recommend it! Before I started looking for birthday packages I had never heard of it. So I went to other skating places to compare. I chose it because it is more child friendly, The staff were super helpful especially Terra who gave me all the details when I first toured and Alicia who was my party host. The prices are great, and the pizza is really good. You get all you can eat pizza on Sundays . The place is also clean and they

Had a wonderful time celebrating a bday. The pizza wasn't bad, it wasn't great it just wasn't bad. We had a really good time

It was very unorganized, I got sent back and forth from the skate rental counter to the main counter back and forth. Went back to cashier counter to get toddler skates, then went back to skate rental to get a skate mate, but had to make another trip to the cashier because they charge you to use a skate mate for my 3 YR OLD. I think that's a bit of a scam. And the staff itself all looked to be about 16 yrs old and wasn't friendly. It was just an ok expierence, but not good customer service or pricing.

Mii babies had a ball!! We will be back soon..

My daughter and her ex had my granddaughter's birthday party here. While the little ones seemed to enjoy themselves (the only reason I gave that second star), I have never seen such a mess in my life. If there were any adults working there, they could only have just turned 18, and no one smiled or even tried to look like they wanted to be there. Originally, they were told that the $300 party included 10 children, and anyone else would have to pay $5.50 to get in (only because it was Sunday and there was unl

Payed for unlimited pizza. But could nor get any pizza for over 45 minutes!! This is a jip for kids. Was told birthday party's go first and it takes 20 minutes to make a pizza. So for almost I hour of our skating time no puzza!! Only here for 2 hours. So I paid 33$ for 3 kids to have one piece of pepperoni pizza apiece!! Sound right????

I visited for my granddaughter's birthday party. If it wasn't for the attentive host, things probably would not had been as fun as it could had been. Most things were good, considering most kids go for fun and kids work there which makes it fun for kids. However, when it came to pay for the biggest package offered, I was charged twice. I contacted corporate office and they blamed the credit card company that they used, as well as my bank for the error. This event was on 3/4/23 and today 3/7/23 still not co

Took the kids here and they spent 4 hours skating. They had a lot of fun and want to return. We thought the pizza was pretty good. The women who worked at the concession stand were very friendly. The kids loved the music that was played. We had a nice time it wasn't overcrowded and pretty clean. The kid working the skate counter could be a little friendlier though. Definitely will be returning.

Very nice until it gets packed full, they have kids for employees so don't expect much perfesionalism . Pizza is all you can eat on Sundays but I couldn't even eat 1 slice after I waited in a long long line. My son had fun and so did my grandson so it was ok. (edit 04-2023) I don't know if they got a new manager or what but this place is ?? better, it was like night and day this time everyone nice doing there job and taking care of business. Changing to 5 stars congratulations ?? and thank you for a great

I recently visited the Fun Factory and I was not very impressed. The staff members was not easily identifiable because they did not have on uniforms or name tags. And like some of the other reviewers stated many of the workers was younger and they easily blended in with the other teenagers visiting the rink. The arcade is very small and some of the machines was out of order which was disappointing. There was several youth groups there when we visited and it caused the rink to get very congested. Staff membe

This place was phenomenal until it became the ?fun factory?. They used to play good music to skate to, and would also have sessions specifically for adults. Now it's all themed towards children. The music is terrible, the drinks are overpriced, and there's simply too many children standing or playing around on the rink. It makes it impossible to enjoy skating because you have to stop every 15 second to avoid running over a unsupervised child.

My kids love this particular skating rink. They enjoy the atmosphere, the respectful workers and the music selection(kid friendly). As a devoted, protective and loving parent I agree with them. See for yourself though! ????

New owners are terrible. Me and my friend group of 6 people (all 17) came and they let us in without an adult even though the rule was in place because they "recognized us because we have been there enough." However when me and one friend came back 4 days later they wouldn't let us in. No one is gonna sit and watch their 17 year old kids, who can drive themselves to the rink, skate.

I am usually very easy to please and always eager to praise. This place does not deserve the business they receive. Came in with our kids on 10/04/2020. They offered unlimited pizza that they acted like they couldn't handle giving out. I was made to wait for absolutely no reason other than the employee being bitter. I waited about 5 minutes for her to take the done pizze out and cut it up. She threw it into the pizza warmer and then walked off to do something else before handing me the piece that I was "CLE

Hello i?m sorry to say not trying to be a karen but this place was trash first the arcade games don't work and most people wasted there credits for a game out of order during the time here the only thing enjoyable was the skating rink, and disco party but the skates made people?s feet dirty. I will never come back and i hope they shut down ??????

Really not happy 300.00 for a party only 2 pizzas all adults had to pay to get in 6.75 a person games are crap and management didn't care I would not recommend this place and game cards had no money on them it's a terribly ran place

I loved my experience. We had our daughters 5th birthday party here, got the deal on groupon. it was a great deal and the staff exceeded our expectations. the music was just fine, great for the kids. it was a good even mixture. pizza was great, our server Payton was amazing! He made sure our experience was a great one. The place was clean and the layout of the place makes a ton of sense. I was able to keep my eyes on all three of my daughters and the party guests well. We will definitely be going ba

St Roch school had a skating party and with just 5 people working for a lot of kids and parents it was amazing the service the 5 workers provided. So impressed with them!!

HORRIBLE!!! employee and their children are on the skate floor almost tripping people, 2 employees pushed someone because they were going slow. The children of the employees are going so fast on the floor and trying to get close to people as they pass. They have knocked many people down. We pulled our younger children from the floor because of fear they would get hurt. There is no one on the floor monitoring behavior or safety. We normally come here with our youth group but no more, employees are disrespect

We came during a party with my 3yo, so in addition to there not having skates appropriately fitted to him, there were older kids skating as fast as they could. We waited on equipment for an hour to go around the rink once and spent more than 20 dollars to do so. A refund wasn't even considered.

Had a great time. Its clear the employees are wore down working with kids all day, day in and day out but they did a decent enough job. I didn't see a tip jar around and there was a crowd at the front desk when we departed, but I was planning on leaving 10 bucks for the staff if they accepted tips.

I got a great birthday package deal with unlimited pizza ( a wait to get it but nonetheless unlimited), unlimited refills and 10 kids... my daughter and her friends enjoyed themselves

Had a party for 10. It was awesome! Skated, had pizza and soda. I will definitely be going again. Highly recommend!!!

Came on a Sunday, which I'm fine with the crowd! What I'm not ok with is the pure negligence of all employees but 3! I went up and addressed the safety concerns about these older kids sling shot across on the floors on the things they use to help skate. The response I got from staff? when I was younger we had floor guards? not one most of the staff is literally sitting around complaining. I'm never a Karen but today I will be!

Yeah this place is pretty bad?they used to have the biggest floor in the city?they added seating to a part of the floor which accommodates more people but less space for all the added skaters. There is no floor security to police the kids going in the wrong direction, aiming at people to knock them down, and cutting across the floor causing fall hazards for skaters. There is no flow to the music so more advanced skaters have to skate to their own music via headphones. The rink employees are rude and there i

Groupon had a great deal for four. I was pleasantly surprised at the Exceptional hospitality. The young lady Lindsey at the concession stand was phenomenal she was busy but worked quickly & efficiently, although she was a new employee she handled the crowd effortlessly. We will be returning with staff like her and the cashiers at the door.

Had our party there exactly a month ago. I was told the birthday boys skates weren't in yet. Which at the time was understandable, I had only booked the party a week before. I however am still waiting on the skates, haven't heard from them on when it will be. And they don't tell you anything when you call. The food was ok though, they made sure the drinks stayed full. The kids all had fun.

Had an amazing time at a birthday party here. They need to do the party rooms better as in keeping pizza and drinks coming when they charge 5 dollars for every adult plus party fees. Seems kind of extreme to not put more money in the place. My recommendation is get younger kids that want to work there.

This is a great place to bring the entire family for a night outing no matter what day of week it is. They offer skating and arcade games to play. There's not to many skating rinks left in Indiana so take advantage of this place while it's still around. It needs to be updated a little bit and have a better selection of food for it to get my 5 star ? review. I believe it cost $7 for entrance fee and a couple dollars for skate rental. I believe I paid about $10 a kid and adults were free since we didn't skate

I took a couple of my granddaughters skating here while on their "Winter Break" from school. I was pleasantly surprised that they have laid new carpet, they have hired a more mature staff, and improved the pizza!! I complimented the staff at the entrance because we immediately noticed the carpet. She commented that they have been working on many improvements. We will become regulars because the girls love to skate and dance to the music. I think they're reasonably priced, the pizza is good, they have a goo

Not impressed at all. First of all 4% charge for using you debt card is to high. The shoes are horrible, they must all be 20 years old. Shoe all need new shoe strings. Our were all tied in knots,so you couldn't make them tight enough. As much as they charge you think they could afford shoe strings. We won't be back.

My kids had a blast here. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have some good deals on Groupon. Pizza was good, music was fun. Overall we will be back and recommend Fun Factory to our friends

It's so fun and relaxing with my family. My kids are so happy and want to riding skating every weekend.

The kids enjoyed it. I would give 5 stars but the staff was rude all but the manger and 2 other employees. And it was only 6 people working there. We gave a big tip to the one lady she was very helpful.

We had our 11 year old's birthday party here. It was an amazing time!! We were lucky enough to have the greatest party host we've ever had, Tempest!! All our needs were met, above and beyond what I was expecting. The birthday girl was thrilled and so were we! We will be back ??

It's the same as it's always been even 16 years ago

The staff all seem to be confused on customer service and how it works. I've always enjoyed this place but it was a big no this time. A decent percentage of all the games don't work. They didn't have any skates in my husbands size and it was NOT a busy day. So, my husband paid to be there but couldn't enjoy family time. The skates we did get were so run down they were hard to use. The pizza was ok, but it took nearly an hour for 1 large cheese pizza. The music selection was not fun. Nothing to really get th

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?
