Awesome arcade place in Ocean City, MD. This place has a huge variety of games, arcades, pinball machines, claw machines, and more. Easy access right from the Boardwalk. The facility is clean, and setup pretty good. Certain games give credits that can be used for prizes. You can purchase gaming cards that are needed to play the games. Some of the games require multiple credits, which can be somewhat of a rip-off.
Brings out the kid in you! My husband and I enjoyed a kid free vacation, but that didn't stop us from playing lots of games here. We LOVE the games where you have to collect character cards to complete sets for points. We would up with 45,000 points, which was enough to buy a decent amount of good prizes. It was cheap but it was fun! In my opinion, to make the money worthwhile, you should play the games with the biggest return rewards so you get something in return. If you have kids or not, this place can
Need to cool of from the sun on the sand??? Slide thru Funcade get your dose of games for only $1 yep, you heard right $1. All games are a buck to play. Coin opp or game card. Cool spot to stop at if you're on the boardwalk.
We had a great time and they have a friendly staff. We had a problem with me game and when we addressed it they fixed it immediately. Almost every game you can think of from a modern HUMONGOUS space invaders to walking dead and skee ball. You can earn tickets to cash in on from bikes to candy and everything in between. Great time!
Visited during the week with my family, it was my kids first time at a big arcade with actual tickets and prizes. They had an absolute blast! Staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked that there were multiple options for payment and that you can use quarters or their refillable card system. The arcade itself was clean, cool, and all of the games were functioning and there was a good selection of games and prizes.
Was okay. A staff member came out to tell my son a basket ball game was too young for him and to "leave it for the smaller kids" we didn't say anything but my son is autistic and is a "smaller kid" overall I wasn't impressed
I have been attending this arcade for 25+ years, every year and sometimes 3-4 times in that year. I'm pretty sure I've paid the mortgage for them a few times! Never a bad experience or anything negative to say. This arcade is something I grew up in and now my 9 year old has me drive 5 hours away just to play! Not only is this the best arcade on the east coast it's a part of my family!
Very fairly priced arcade. You definitely got a bang for your buck there
stani and bobbi were so SO helpful and kind! the best part of my vacation!
This place is horrible, all of the claw machines aren't strong enough and they drop everything. This is scamming people of all their hard earned money
We walked up to this arcade our Last day before leaving. I LOOKED for a hours sign but none so went inside and seen a few other people. So I went to kiosk and spent 40$ on two play cards to share. Then we turn around and not even 10 minutes later were told their closing...so I mentioned they needed to put an hours sign up to one of the men working & he just continues walking like whatever...needless to say we only spent about 10$ of our 40$ and just felt like they could of been nice and offer a refund since
My 2 year old had fun even though not much for younger kids to do. It's hard to win tickets and takes a lot of tickets to get prizes. We had 30 tickets and got a quarter size rubber ball. Spent roughly 10 dollars. But fun and got us out of the sun a bit. Not much A.C. so still warm inside.
Extremely Fun. My children's first experience and they LOVED it!!
Great place my kids had so much fun and the prices are great
The arcade was fun for my niece. She didn't get anything with the claw games, but I saw someone get an item. She spun this wheel and ended up with 940 tickets with the bonus. She ended up getting some other bonuses with games. She got a lot of tickets and got prizes She wanted.
Fun City is a great arcade place! Stani is amazing!!
I lost my engagement ring at Fun City Arcade and the staff found it! They worked hard to track it down! I am forever grateful! Also it was a fun arcade! My nieces won several prizes!
We make $20 last long enough to make this place a good value. Staff are friendly. The Yahtzee game is fun and addictive.
Fun time and nice clean arcade. Few machines were jammed but overall fun for my husband and 9 year old
Fairly easy to win decent prizes if you spend a little dough
Claw machines are just broken, couldn't tell you how many times they did something stupid like not letting you move the claw a smidge, it would just move a few inches and nothing less. We picked up a prize perfectly each time and right before it gets over the hole the claw would literally loosen it grip and you could see it loosen. We look forward to claw machines every summer and this place disappointed big time! After putting $45 into one machine hopping to win one prize, we finally walked away! For $45 w
1$ and got 2 sharks! Idk how but this place is amazing
Don't waste your money. They have a ton of claw machines with easy looking prizes to win.. except the machines relax the claws whenever it is about to reach the top. Won 1 prize in 20 tries. Don't waste your money there
Places a rip off... Wizard of Oz machine ..put $20 in for 400 credits only gives you $250.. spoke to management.. didn't get any where's..ripped off for $60 ..call the police didn't get nowhere neither.. I guess they get paid off too.. worst experience of my life
The bonus was great I got 25 free dollars just for buying $100 point card. The prizes were pretty high in points but they are not bad quality.
Lots of fun games. Variety of prizes. Spin the wheel with 777 ticket always fun?
We love taking time during the off-season to head to the OC boardwalk. It soon gets competitive and skeet is the game of choice. The environment is clean, games in good working order and enough games so you don't have to wait.
I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT GO!!!! Most of the claw machines are rigged and you will easily lose your money. I spent around 60 dollars with my family and not a single game won. I advise everyone to spend your money for pretty much the same prizes in the local businesses alongside the boardwalk.
From pinball to basketball, great fun for kids and entire family.
I had a great time here, huge prize selection and fun games!
I was 8 years old again. It was amazing!!! So much fun. So many games!!!
So much fun!!! I got 4 prizes from the claw machines and got 1,000+ tickets. But don't expect to get the prizes first try. It takes a while.
Games are reasonably priced, but some are showing their age. The coin drop games are especially starting to show their age and fail. Coins get stuck in them and don't drop down. Prizes are reasonably priced and they definitely have some nice prizes there. If any of your tickets end in 777, you get to spin the wheel and get a special prize as well. One of the best arcades on the boardwalk. I highly recommend going there. Lots of fun.
Right in the middle of the Ocean City boardwalk. It was fairly new, and no machines were broken. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of variety in the games. There are a lot of gambling games, and not so many arcade games for kids. In the end, at the ticket redemption, there weren't many candy options, just little trinkets.
Selina was soo awesome and was extremely patient when we were picking out prizes. When we couldn't decide she helped us pick out the right prize. I have never been happier with the customer service ever! Super excited to return.
This place is fun to bring the kids and your friends. To have a blast. One of the best arcades on the boardwalk. Everyone working there is hard working. I give a big shout out to skip for managing the night shift. And a shout out to Galena for managing the day shift. And I cannot forget about the office staff. They do such a wonderful job. And just a shout out to Maggie. I can't wait for the summer. I hope it is better then last summer. And most of all a big shout out to Jerry.
My niece and nephew had the best time here! Not surprised, since I've been coming here since I was a kid. And my mom before me came here when she was younger! This has always been part of my best memories as a kid and a big part of the Ocean City experience! It's even more fun now taking the next generation of our family!
FUN. I went here with my two daughters ages 17 and 8. We had a blast. Great assortment of games, from the claw machines, ticket games, arcade games and so many more. We even had a fun competition with who could get the better score in the games. We had a great time and the youngest had her pick of prizes.
We love the Fun City arcade and everyone that works there. We live here in OC, and it is great that usually even during the winter hours they try to open at least on the weekends of course weather permitting. We have been going there faithfully for at least 2 years. When we were here every month looking for our house, we could always depend on the arcade for us to play every day, my son is mentally challenged, and they are awesome with him and help him and actually 2 of the girls Shantelle (sorry for spell
Please do not go here. I tried to purchase two $20 cards so my children could play. I paid with a $100 bill and the machine gave me two $50 cards instead and no change. When I spoke to the staff they said they could not do anything about it and that it was my fault because the machine does not give change. They clearly had keys to the machine and confirmed to me that they did but said ? it would mess up their transactions for the day if they gave me my change? I made it clear that I could not afford the $50
Always a good time. Can get INCREDIBLY crowded. Staff attendants are much more attentive and available than previous years. Still a bit run down and old, as well as overpriced on a large portion of games. But, the children love it. It would also be nice if there were a few more options for adults. I have little ones, and I'm the one who goes in at night while they are asleep to win huge numbers of tickets to add to their totals so they can get better prizes.
It's a nice place, plenty of games and room to have fun. Machines use quarters rather than tokens which in some ways is better, as places that use tokens require you to use up those tokens as quickly as possible where here the use of quarters provides you with more game options, you're not limited. The machines were all reasonably priced in my opinion.
Awesome arcade! Took the kids here and they had such a AMAZING time roping me into all the fun. HIGHLY recommend THIS place while you're near the boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland!!!!
First time in oc had alot of fun playing the games at fun city. All the employees are great if a game breaks they r right there to help. The only reason for the 3 star is the card system they use erased all the tickets we collected from the first 3 nights. I would recommend not using the cards to load money on the machine that way u will have paper tickets. We checked the total on 3 different cards the last day and one had 11k we played and went to cash in they said it only had 2k. They gave us credit for 1
This was a good arcade it had games that I don't see anywhere esle the claw machines was not rigged. This place had ski ball, pin ball, Mario Cart racing they were decent amount of people and was fun.
The claw machines here are a scam. All of them release when it gets to the top. Go to the funcade up the boardwalk, those machines don't release.
We had alot of fun here. But, we did have problems with alot of the games taking money or not showing credit after putting money in. The staff handled every issue, but it was annoying to have to go get someone as often as we did. We will go back next time we go OC and to the boardwalk.
Kept winning the jackpot on one of the games (because i knew how it worked), and instead on being acosted for how many times the staff had to refill the machines with tickets, they were impressed and happy to keep replacing the tickets as needed. For how busy it was it was not hard to collect prizes either. Would recommend!
We absolutely recommend stopping in with your kids or just yourself. We have so much fun there and everyone is awesome. We have a son with a disability, and he actually learned how to get the quarters and play each of them games alone (he thinks, we are watching all the time). The girls Shantele and Kaycee are amazing with him and treat him so good. They have actually learned to understand his speech and they watch after him too. lol When we were looking for house in OC we spent a lot of time down there
Lots of things for little kids to do, reasonable ticket prices on the prizes. The woman at the counter was very kind to my children - my daughter said "wow, that was one nice lady!" after getting her prizes. We went around 3:30 on a Thursday, and the temperature was comfortable and it wasn't crowded.??
We love this arcade in Ocean City Maryland. We have 4 kids and a husband who loves games. This arcade can keep all of them busy. The Wizard of Oz game is very addicting!! Great amount of prizes. With any arcade, the prizes are going to be expensive in tickets as a reward, but they do have some stuff that we have never seen before! Can't wait to go back in July 2022!!! Update 7/7/2022: This is still our favorite arcade on the boardwalk. The DC Marvels game has us hooked this year. The kids love this place.
I love arcades! This is a fun spot for the whole family. In my opinion there's other arcades in OC id recommend over this one. A few machines were jammed. Still had a good time and gives you some serious 80s-90s vibe.
It's a little pricey and the way the system goes with the eCard kind of sucked. Some of the games were broken when we used them. And my nephew got 2 little squirt guns for 200 tickets when I could buy the same things for 4 for $1 back at the Dollar tree. Needs better littler prizes.
Great arcade, plenty of room to walk around (unlike other arcades in OC) and an extremely courteous and professional staff. They also have great prizes, which is also rare vs what the tickets usually can be redeemed for at other arcades. Highly recommend - my 3 kids had a great experience here!
Great but handycap hubby fell of scooter exiting due to slope. He is fine and enjoyed coin push machines. Mgt. was very attentive to his injury and called a medic. All is good we will be back a lot this week.
All the staff were fabulous. But, Selina was outstanding. She was extremely kind, helpful and smiled alot when talking to us to help us.
It's a great place to win in the rigged claw machine, won 3 Pokemon plush's with $15. Someone wins every 16-18 plays. Just sit and watch from afar, and its a easy win! Besides that the other games are fun and the prizes aren't too bad. Look out for tickets ending in 777, you'll win something special!
Good selection of games. "Skill" cranes are definitely rigged very anti-win sadly. Prize counter is absurd with ticket counts required. But you are in a tourist area. On par with the other arcades on the boardwalk. Clean.
Come in here every year. This year they upgraded to cards which is very convenient. Always leave here with something from a claw machine. They have coin pushers which my wife loves. Lots of fun prizes.
Negative if I could. We bought a $20 card-did not even get to play a game when their system crashed. They could do nothing for the 20 minutes I have stood waiting-my young girls and I have to go-what a waste!
Great place, family oriented. The staff is great with kids and the hippie lady that's been there year after year is amazing! We love her! I love that she remembers my kids each year and is so nice!
Good arcade a bit on the cramped side espcially on a busy evening can get very hot inside. Does accept bills coins and they have the play cards as an option too. Prizes in claw machines are a good selection goodluck on them. Other machines award tickets
Lots of games at a fair price and the staff us friendly. The best part, in my humble opinion, is the collection of vintage Ski Ball machines for only a quarter per game. The kids save up quarters just to go play Ski Ball in OC.
Hours don't match what's on google, bought games to play, and then kicked out at exactly 630pm when Google says 8pm closing time. Games are okay, a lot was broken.
Fun place to be for all ages. Easy exchange for tickets. It's a little crowded with narrow walking paths, but it definitely feels like an old school arcade! Ski ball is 50? but it pays out lots of tickets!
Always have a blast when we visit Fun City!! The staff is nice, we've never had a problem. This is always a stop on our list everytime we're on the boardwalk. Highly recommend stoping in with the kiddos and letting them win some goodies!
We racked up on prizes and had a great time. They're not strict on the mask rules so you will run Into those that don't have one. Maintained distance and a lot and hand sanitizer
This was place was fun after my family and I were done playing mini golf. My daughter loved the games, winning tickets and getting prizes. We also loved watching the people play laser tag, that was entertaining. Overall awesome experience.
Was a super fun arcade, tickets are sorta easy to get as well. The only thing is the "skill" machines are very much rigged. I can show you vids of how many of my tries were right on the money but the claw just sorta opened up and dropped it ?? and the prizes are okay, there's not too many "in between" prizes. You can either get this super cool coffee maker for 25,000 tickets, or you can get a yoyo for 200 ?? however, if you don't really care about prizes and you just wanna blow your money on some fun/weird
Machine stole my dollar. Went to cashier for assistwnce, they called for someone to come over. 10 minutes later they hadn't acknowledged her call still. 20 minutes passed and nobody came or acknowledged the call for hepp from the girl behind the counter. I ended up just leaving. They literally stole my dollar.
I love that they are open during the winter months. Wish they kept the machines stocked with tickets. Most machines were out of the tickets you trade in for prizes. Little kids love tickets and prizes.
Prizes are okay. The Wizard of Oz and similar machines didnt have rnough cards to justify the price of the game. Was extremely crowded and things like tokens needed to be habd counted
Special thanks to Jerry Greenspan for hosting 12 kids from our group home. Staff are great people. Our kids had a great time. Thanks for the generosity and hospitality during our stay in Ocean City MD.
Choose your hours wisely. My partner and myself enjoy the outings, seeing people from all different places, enjoying the sites and sounds. But a leisurely stroll can turn to a moshpit depending on what hour you get there. If you don't mind the NYC style foot traffic then you're good. Go a little before dinner time 4-6 was pretty chilled out. Or later around 10-12 after the mass of people have usually retired for the night.
Family friendly arcade, great selection of games. They want you to win so the machines are set fairly to give the players a real chance of winning. Prize area had a large selection with realistic point values.
Claw machines were definitely prelubed up so it was impossible to get the prizes even though you have a perfect grip on them and the workers won't help if it ricocheted off of the drop box to receive the prize. So in conclusion don't come here unless you wanna waste money. Other then that dont waste your time.
Place needs a deep clean. Dropped the air hockey puck behind the machine and cautiously leaned to pick it up off the dirty floor and the machine reset. We couldn't finish our game and it wouldn't allow us to start over. Wasted 3 dollars on a busted skeeball machine. Wasted more on a game thinking it was 2 player and it wasn't. The basketballs were deflated and all different sizes. Props for having an OG miss pac man machine. Being a kid from the 90's, the nostalgia is real. Despite the obvious room
We had fun, qon some stuff for the grandkids but my wife loved the candy claw machines, she probably would have stayed all day
Kids love this place. It's fun. Such a rip off! All those tickets...spent over 100 bucks and won a little basketball ?? ????
The arcade machines are massively over priced. 1 dollar for almost anything. 3 of the 6 machines we tried actually didn't work, or took our money. If your going to charge 1 dollar for like 30 seconds of play, the machine should function perfectly.
We had the best time here. They actually count your points and don't cheat you like the places in Jersey. Good prize selection
The claws are a complete rip off. One of the ticket ones didn't even grab. Another one picked up the stuffed animal and relaxed half way up. Play the video games and stay away from the claws
Always love going to Fun City over all other arcades in OC. Lots of different games to play!
Clean and full of a great variety of games. We've always hit the arcades closer to the inlet but this surpassed them.
Me and my family had a really great time here, everybody was very friendly, especially a bulgarian Guy called Juli?n. He helped us with some ticket and jam problems very quickly and all of that always with a smile.if you want to have a good time with your family, this is a good option.
It's old in the best possible way. I came in and played some of the same games I did when I was 10 years old. What more can you want in an arcade? The nostalgia factor was definitely there but they also have peppered in a good amount of modern games.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
